Robert and Holly eventually did go to bed, not to sleep most of the night, mind you, but they were in bed.

The next morning, they made plans later in the day to have lunch at his office. Since they couldn't do a picnic outdoors, she was going to bring one to him.

She stood in the kitchen getting their lunch together when Jayne walked it.

"Mum!" Jayne gave her a hug, so happy to finally see her.

Holly welcomed the hug, a huge grin on her face. "Darling, I've missed you."

"I missed you too and dad. Was it wonderful?" Jayne asked as she instinctively started to help.

"Yes it was, I will spare you the details but we had the most amazing time." Holly's face lit up.

"Good, I know you were missed around here." Jayne put the sandwich in a baggy and placed it in the basket.

"We got you a present, I'm going to wait until your father is here to give it to you, though." Holly gave her daughter a loving smile.

"Oh, definitely. Dad has to be here." Jayne didn't want Robert to miss out.

"So tell me, what did you do for Valentine's Day?" Holly was curious to hear what Jayne had been up to.

"I went out and had pizza." Jayne stated nonchalantly.

"Alone?" Holly asked her as she packed up a sandwich.

Jayne knew Holly was trying to ask her about the guy. "No, actually."

"Oh, anyone special?" Holly asked but already knew the answer with that smile on Jayne's face.

"Yes. Mum, I've never had feelings like this before. The more I'm around him, the more I feel so incredible." Jayne gushed. She couldn't help it.

Holly's beamed as she looked at her daughter. "You remind me so much of your father."

Jayne's face lit up. She loved being like both of her parents. Suddenly she noticed they had made a lot of sandwiches. "We may have gotten carried away."

Holly laughed as she took some out. "Lunch for around here too. Thank you for your help darling." She gave her a hug.

Jayne hugged her back. "I love you."

"I love you too." Holly smiled as she finished packing the basket. She wanted to let Jayne be comfortable with what she shared, so she didn't push to know more.
