Chapter 29 – Meeting of the Psycho Trio
Kurome's POV
"Gah…damn that brat. Mocking me for failing to kill her. Once we meet again, I'll TRULY put her six feet under."
"Tch…damn this body. Its pathetic handicap is TRULY holding me back. Why couldn't I reclaim…my true form?"
"Will you two shut up already?" I said to both Ridel and Shiro. "You both have been complaining for the past 30 minutes."
"Why shouldn't I complain?!" Ridel yelled. "That little pink-haired brat got in my way of killing Lidelle! Just thinking of her pisses me off!"
"And I used to have the body and power of a universal god…but now I'm stuck in this human body." Shiro added. "Why did it have to be a female one, anyway?"
"Males are not that common in my world. So, this was truly the best I could do on such short notice."
"Seriously? No boys?" Ridel asked. "Then how the hell are you girls freaking multiplying? Do some of you got both sets or something?"
"No. And why does that even matter? These worlds are about to be destroyed, anyway."
"Hey, I'm just asking. And besides…Shiro here could use some of that knowledge now that she's human."
"I do not need to know about something so trivial as mortal reproduction." Shiro said. "All I care about…is destroying the Light & Dark Souls."
"Yeah, yeah. We get it. Don't be so freaking cliché like that old hag Arfoire."
"Hey, you two. We're getting off-topic." I said. "I called you both here because we need to discuss the current situation. Those girls have connected part of Gamindustri to Primp Town. If this keeps up, they'll restore all three worlds and our efforts will be for nothing."
"Well, what do you want us to do? You keep interfering and pulling us back every time we get close to defeating them."
"Seems rather hypocritical of you, Kurome…considering that you wish to destroy them as well." Shiro said.
"The best way to seek out revenge is to strategize your moves and plan it out carefully. Not to just go and slaughter people like you two have done in the past."
"There is nothing wrong with splattering your enemies with their own blood. It is something that I live by."
"Ha! I can totally agree with you on that, Shiro!" Ridel yelled in a cheerful manner. "The fresher the better! Nyahahahaha!"
"*sigh* You two are something else…" I said with a facepalm. "In any case…have either of you found the remaining Zodiac Stone?"
"Nope. I ain't got it."
"I have failed to recover it as well." Shiro added.
"Tch. Damnit…" I mumbled to myself. "…it's already bad enough that we failed to take the Scorpio Citrine and lost the Sagittarius Topaz and the Capricorn Emerald. That damn princess is making things harder for us."
"She is the smartest one of them all, is she not? It would make sense that she was not willing to surrender so easily."
"That shouldn't matter! Her world was being crumbled to pieces and yet she managed to toss her stone and escape! Such crap is unacceptable!"
…
Though, what am I saying? I let that Resta girl escape and she ended up in Primp. It's what I get for not realizing that it and the Babylon Nebula were already parallel to each other…
"And then there's Arfoire. Despite having the Libra Opal, she's constantly fleeing from these people. Not even using the stone's true power."
"From what I heard from Revati before we ditched her ass, that old hag's too afraid to fight against Amitie and Rivitie." Ridel said. "She's got some issues with their mom or something."
"Issues?" I went silent for a bit. "Ridel…what do you know those two?"
"Amitie's the Light Soul and Rivitie's the Dark Soul. It's based on this legend their mom made up years ago. But I ain't got a clue about it."
"The Legend of the Red Puyo Hat…" Shiro started explaining. "…although born from a fake set of rumors, its true purpose…"Without the souls of Light & Dark, the world will shatter into nothing." Those two are basically the guardians of their entire world. If they were to disappear…their world will cease to exist."
"Woah…" Ridel said in amazement.
"Truly an interesting piece of knowledge…" I added. Just as surprised at the fact that such a legend exists. And that its power is left in the hands of two teenage girls.
It still doesn't explain why Arfoire won't fight them. Maybe if I took a glimpse of this power for myself…
"Alright. You two can continue looking for that stone. I think I'll give a formal introduction to these two girls of legend."
"What? You're going to Primp?" Ridel asked.
"I will warn you only once, Kurome." Shiro said in a serious tone. "The only one…who shall destroy the Light & Dark Souls…shall be me. Keep your hands off of them."
"I have nothing against them. So, you don't have to worry about that." I responded with laughter as I made my way out of our base.
This story's about to get interesting…
Author's Note: Just a small update this time. Gives a small peek into how these three psycho girls get along with each other. It also gives a little hint into who Shiro actually is. If you know it, don't spoil it.
Thanks for reading. Later.
