Chapter 5: First Mission
Hey everyone I'm back with a new chapter. Sorry about the wait, took me a while to figure out a plan for this. Also wow I can't believe this story already has over 100 followers! Thank you all so much. I hope you like what I have planned. Please Review and Enjoy.
We find ourselves in Hollywood, California as it's a big red carpet event as famous celebrities were walking it.
"And here we are folks at tonight's big premiere. All the stars are here and wait…yes here he comes! The lead actor himself, Daniel Gomez." A reporter said as a big limo pulled up.
As the door opens we see a Latino man in a nice suit step out of his limo causing everyone to take tons of pictures.
Little did any of them know the limo was right under a manhole, as the manhole was lifted up a mist shot out of it causing Daniel to pass out unconscious causing everyone to yelp started when suddenly a large green scaly arm punched the limo out of the way and dragged him down into the sewers much to everyone's shock.
At Mt. Justice, the team was hanging around as Robin was by the teleporter.
"Okay it should be set up. Try coming over." Robin said into a commlink.
"Recognized Giovanni T-1, Leonardo T-2, Raphael T-3, Donatello T-4, Michelangelo T-5." The boomtube said as a flash of light shined as the Ninja turtles entered the cave in awe.
"Whoa, this is your base?" Leo said looking around.
"Way different than the sewers." Gio said.
"Dude, we're in a mountain!" Mikey said excited.
"This is pretty sweet." Raph said as Robin walked up to them.
"Not that you're officially one of us you guys can come here whenever you want and we can get to you guys much easier now." Robin said.
"This time of technology is amazing. Instant transportation. Oh man I am freaking out." Donnie smiles.
"Take it easy Donnie. It loses the coolness after a while." Kid Flash said walking in with Aqualad, Superboy, and Artemis.
"Welcome to Mt. Justice." Aqualad smiles.
"Superboy." Raph smiles as he and Superboy high five.
"Hey Raph." Superboy smiles.
"So you guys actually live here?" Raph asks.
"Well me and Miss Martian do, everyone else has their own place." Superboy said.
"Speaking of which where is she?" Robin asks looking around.
"Hey guys." Miss Martian said coming with a plate. "I made you guys a little snack to welcome you here." She said holding out a plate of cookies.
"Mmm those look good." Leo smiles.
As they each took one Raph ate his and smiles.
"Mmm not bad." Turning to Mikey, Raph knocks him on the head and takes his cookie.
"Hey that was mine!" Mikey said.
"And now it's mine." Raph grins eating it.
"What are these guys? 6?" Artemis cringed.
"Take it easy guys there's plenty for all of you." Miss. Martian said as Gio adjusts himself.
"Sorry, about that, but if it makes you feel better this means they really enjoy your food. They act the same way when I cook." Gio smiles.
"You cook?" Kid Flash asks surprised. "But you guys don't have any money. How do you buy food?"
"I don't. I uh...scavenge for food. It was either that or we'd be eating nothing but algae and worms." Gio said causing them to be grossed out.
"Well I can show you how to cook with fresh ingredients if you'd like." Miss Martian offers.
"That would be great." Gio smiles.
"You'll have to schedule the cooking class later." Robin said as they saw Batman, Red Tornado and Black Canary.
Seeing this Leo elbows Mikey as the 5 turtles stood at attention.
"Uh thank for you having us." Leo said as they all bowed slightly.
"Hmm nice to know these ones have a little manners." Black Canary smiles.
"I look forward to getting to know each of you." Red Tornado said.
"Yeah me too." Donnie said.
"Alright, pleasantries aside. We have work to do." Batman said bringing up a giant holographic screen revealing images of various celebrities including David Gomez. "Multiple A list Hollywood celebrities have been kidnapped. Multiple reports say a mysterious green hand dragged them into the sewers."
"It wasn't us!" Mikey said quickly.
Pausing everyone looks at Mikey with weird looks and immediately Raph hits him on the head.
"Of course it wasn't us you idiot." Raph said.
"We live in New York, Hollywood is in California." Leo said.
"There's no way we could go to the other side of the country." Donnie said.
"Ow sorry, I got defensive." Mikey said.
"Continue." Gio urges.
"As I was saying, this is clearly the work of the villain Killer Croc." Batman said bringing up an image of a large muscular alligator man.
"What? No way Croc has the brains to pull of something like this. This ain't his style." Robin said.
"Agreed, which means someone else is the brains and Croc is acting as the muscle. Another Hollywood premiere is coming up and you need to be there ready to intercept him." Batman orders.
"Good thing we have 5 sewer pros on our team now." Kid Flash smiles.
Soon they were on the Bioship towards Hollywood.
"So let me get this straight. That robot Red Tornado lives at the base to keep an eye on you guys? That seems a little weird doesn't it?" Donnie asks.
"Red Tornado does a good job looking out for us. Even if he is a bucket of bolts." Kid Flash said.
"Black Canary is in charge of all our training. I bet you guys could learn a lot from her." Superboy said.
"I don't know, Master Splinter is pretty good too. I bet he could take her." Gio said.
"Yeah right." Artemis mocks.
"And as you saw, Batman is the one who sends us on missions." Robin said.
"So uh how do you guys do this? Lately Gio and I have been calling the shots with our stuff." Leo asks.
"While you guys are here, I am the leader the team." Aqualad declares.
"Sounds like you guys really got a hang on this." Donnie said.
"We've been doing this since the 4th of July." Kid Flash said.
"Wow, so compared to you guys we're total newbies." Leo said.
"Don't worry, you'll catch on quick." Robin said.
"So what do we do? What's the plan?" Raph asks.
"Since Batman says Killer Croc escapes by sewer with the victims we'll split into teams one will be waiting in the sewers ready to intercept. While the other keeps watch from above ground." Aqualad said.
'And we keep in contact like this.' Miss Martian said transmitting thoughts to them.
"Whoa, what the heck was that?" Gio said feeling his head.
"Oh sorry that was me transmitting thoughts to you guys. That's how we communicate on these without raising suspicions." Miss Martian said.
"I don't think I like this." Raph said.
"Neither did we when she pulled this on us." Superboy said.
"You'll get used to it." Aqualad said.
Arriving in Hollywood, Artemis, Robin, Superboy, Raph and Miss Martian were watching the new red carpet event from the rooftops.
"I can't believe people actually get all dressed up just to see a movie." Raph said.
"It makes it enjoyable." Miss Martian said.
"So you think one of these celebrities will be the next target?" Superboy asks.
"Oh yeah." Robin said bringing up an image. "Melissa Robinson, she's the big star of this movie."
'Ooh I love her, her last movie was the best.' Kid Flash said hearing his thoughts.
'Sewer team anything suspicious down there?' Robin thought.
Down in the sewers, the second team of Gio, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Leo, Donnie and Mikey were keeping watch.
'Nothing yet no strange activity here.' Aqulad thought.
'Although I think I did step in something weird.' Kid Flash cringed looking at his foot.
'So what I think it? You guys hear it?' Gio thought.
'Yes, this is how we communicate on missions, it decreases our chances of being overheard.' Aqualad said.
'Whoa, cool. Booyakasha.' Mikey thought making an echo effect.
'You're lucky I'm not done there Mikey or I'd kick your butt for that.' Raph threatens.
'I got him.' Gio thought hitting Mikey on the head.
'Alright guys stop fighting the limo's pulling up a block away from your location.' Robin thought.
Pausing they all quieted down to listen for any sign of the enemy.
Little did they know something was swimming in the water nearby.
Up above, the limo pulled up and stepping out was a beautiful woman in a red dress and long black hair.
As the paparazzi when crazy, Superboy notices the manhole under the limo open causing his eyes to widen.
'Guys! They're right under the limo! Move!' Superboy thought when like last time a mist shot out knocking everyone out allowing the green hand to grab Melissa.
Running through the sewers, Kid Flash, Aqualad and Gio turn a corner to see Killer Croc holding her over his shoulder.
"Killer Croc!" Kid Flash declares as followed him to an opening when suddenly a grenade was thrown at them.
"Look out!" Making a shield, Aqualad blocks the attack.
"Well look what we have here. Some wannabe heroes." A snickering voice when the smoke cleared revealing a short man in a black tux, top hat, and umbrella.
"Penguin, now it all makes sense." Aqualad narrows his eyes.
"Hey Croc what's a guy like you working for Penguin?" Kid Flash asks.
"He offered me a cut." Killer Croc said.
"Well this is where it ends." Kid Flash said.
"Yeah I don't think so, we have you kids outnumbered." Penguin mocks.
"Oh yeah? Now guys!" Gio said as Donnie, Mikey and Leo leaped out of the shadows surprising them.
"Wh-What are they?" A Penguin gasps as Mikey moves in.
"We're aliens bro. Freaky aliens." Mikey said making weird faces.
"I don't care what they are. Kill them!" Penguin said as they aimed their umbrellas at them and fired.
"Technically we're not aliens we're turtles." Donnie said as Aqualad yanks him out of the way of fire.
"Not the time Donnie." Leo said.
"There's always time for accuracy Leo." Donnie points out attacking with his staff knocking a Penguin goon to the ground.
Racing in Kid Flash yanks their guns out their hands allowing Mikey to whack them in the faces.
"Get the payday out of here! We need her." Penguin orders as Killer Croc ran off with the hostage.
"Get back here you!" Gio said chasing after him.
Turning around Killer Croc blocks Gio's tonfa's with his arm before whacking him sending him crashing into the water.
"Too slow turtle." Killer Croc mocks running off.
Growling Gio was about to follow when a shot was fired at him forcing him to jump back.
As Gio dodges one Penguin Goon's attack he swings his tonfas knocking him to the ground before Aqualad slashes the other making the goons pile up on each other.
"Hey dude, you're out of dudes." Mikey said as all of Penguin's men were on the ground.
"Do I have to do everything myself?" Penguin asks as a gun barrel came out of his umbrella and fired forcing them to dodge.
"Whoa, he has a gun umbrella. A Gunbrella! How cool is that?" Mikey smiles popping his head up and immediately Gio yanks him down.
"How about we disarm and then compliment?" Gio said.
"Or not compliment at all." Kid Flash said.
'Miss Martian, we have eyes on Croc turns out his help is Penguin.' Aqualad thought.
'Hurry to our location.' Kid Flash thought.
'We're on our way.' Miss Martian said causing the turtles to shudder.
"Still weird." Leo said.
Grabbing a shuriken from his vest, Gio hits Penguin's gunbrella making it explode knocking him to the ground.
Groaning Penguin looks up to see Leo aiming his sword at him.
"You lose, come quietly." Leo said.
"Not a chance." Penguin said as a sword tip came out of his umbrella and swings forcing Leo to jump back.
"It's a swordbrella too?! I think I love this little guy." Mikey smiles when Gio bonks him on the head.
"May I remind you he's trying to kill us!" Gio reminds.
Penguin swings his umbrella but Leo blocks and knocks Penguin back.
Getting up Penguin sees the turtles and heroes approach him.
"As much as I'd like to stick around I have a fortune to get." Penguin said as his umbrella spun like a helicopter blade and he took off.
"He's getting away!" Leo gasps about to follow when Aqualad stops him and throws a tracker attaching to the bottom of Penguin's coat.
"Good things come to those who wait." Aqualad said.
Standing down, Leo nods seeing his plan.
"Aw man being a hero is bonkers yo!" Mikey said.
At an old warehouse by the Hollywood sign, Penguin had all his celebrities tied up and blindfolded with his goons setting up a video camera and Killer Croc nearby.
"Alright this should be enough." Penguin said as Killer Croc put them down.
"This better work Penguin." Killer Croc said.
"Of course it will, we send out the broadcast and by using the code we sent we force the people to pay us in order to spare their favorite movie stars. Those idiots will do anything to keep their favorite movies going." Penguin explains.
"What makes you think they'll do it?" Killer Croc asks.
"Because we add whichever ones make the least money you get to eat." Penguin grins.
"Either way it works out for me." Killer Croc said licking his lips.
"Sir we're ready to go live." A goon said.
"Excellent." Penguin grins.
Behind some crates, Robin brought up a hologram.
"Not if I can help it." Robin said hacking the video camera causing it to short circuit.
"What in the?" Penguin said confused when Kid Flash uses this opening to race in and yanks the celebrities out of harms way.
"The hostages!" Killer Croc said when Superboy charges in and punches him sending Croc flying through some crates.
Growling Killer Croc lifts a crate up and throws it at them but at the last second Aqualad smashes it to pieces.
Alarmed by this Penguin and his goons aim their gunbrellas at them and fire.
"What is going on?!" Melissa gasps as Kid Flash helps them out.
"Long story, big fan." Kid Flash said when Miss Martian and Artemis move in.
"This way." Miss Martian said leading them out while Artemis drew her bow and fired an arrow causing it to explode.
Leaping over some crates, Robin threw multiple discs exploding on contact sending the goons crashing down.
"Boy Wonder." Penguin growls. "Batman nearby?"
"Hardly, Batman doesn't need to waste his time with the likes of you Penguin." Robin said.
"You can barely handle us." Raph said charging in.
Penguin aims his umbrella at Raph but at the last second he ducks and kicks the umbrella out of his grip.
"No!" Penguin gasps before Raph kicks him in the face sending him crashing into a crate.
"Looks like Penguins really can't fly." Leo smirks causing Kid Flash and Robin to look at him.
"Dude, that was kind of lame." Kid Flash said.
"Yeah leave the funny stuff to Mikey." Robin said.
Nearby, Killer Croc was stepping back as Superboy, Aqualad, Gio and Donnie had him backed to some crates.
"Nowhere to run now." Gio said.
"I suggest you give up and turn yourself in." Donnie said.
Looking around Killer Croc sees a gunbrella by his feet.
"Croc get me out of here!" Penguin orders.
"Sorry Penguin, the deal is off." Killer Croc said firing at them forcing the heroes to leap out of the way.
Using this chance, Killer Croc breaks through the wall to make a get away.
"He's getting away!" Superboy said.
"Not this time!" Leo said as the turtles and Gio ran after him.
Growling in anger, Penguin grabs his umbrella and fires a cloud of mist.
"Time for sleep!" Penguin said.
Acting quickly, Kid Flash ran circles around Penguin causing the mist to spin around and hit Penguin's goon knocking them out.
"NO!" Penguin gasps as Artemis fires her arrow causing a net to shoot out and trap Penguin making him crash to the ground.
"Sorry Penguin, show's over." Robin declares.
"Souvenir." Kid Flash said picking up Penguin's umbrella.
"We better catch up with the Turtles, they should have caught up with Killer Croc by now." Superboy said.
Near the Hollywood sign, Killer Croc was in a lock with Raph.
"What the heck are you weirdoes?" Killer Croc asks.
"Like you're one to talk." Raph growls before Killer Croc pushes back sending Raph tumbling.
Lunging in Leo swings his sword, but Killer Croc blocks it with his scaley arm.
Sliding under him, Gio leaps up and whacks Croc in the face with his tonfas.
However, when Gio leaps back, Killer Croc grabs him by his leg and throws him into Leo knocking them both to the ground.
"You know Croc, you ever consider changing your name to something better? Maybe Cool Croc, Croc Rock, ooh no wait Chocodile." Mikey said.
"That's a desert you idiot!" Killer Croc snaps punching Mikey in the face sending him flying through the giant O.
As Croc races after he lands at the base of the sign only to be met by Donnie and Raph.
Swinging their bo staff and sai both turtles clash with Killer Croc forcing him back.
Ripping one L off the Hollywood sign, Killer Croc swings it sending them crashing down next to Leo and Gio who help them up.
"You're not taking us down that easy!" Spinning his nunchaku, Mikey attacks Croc but he blocks it and knocks Mikey to the ground.
Groaning, Gio, Leo, Raph and Donnie looked to see Killer Croc grab Mikey.
"You know it's been a while since I've had turtle." Killer Croc grins licking his lips causing Mikey to scream. "And after that chocodile joke I'm eager to take a nice big bite out of you!"
"No don't eat me!" Mikey screams as Croc opened his mouth wide causing something to snap in them.
Grabbing their weapons, the four of them charged in.
As Croc's teeth were about to come down on Mikey, Gio threw his shield making it hit Croc right in the mouth making him scream in pain and drop Mikey.
Shaking it off, Killer Croc sees Donnie whack him multiple times with his staff before Raph punches him in the face.
Stumbling back, Killer Croc looks to see Leo slash him with his sword before Gio whacks him with his tonfas sending him crashing to the ground.
Looking up Killer Croc sees Leo, Raph, Gio and Donnie glaring daggers at him.
"Listen carefully." Leo glares.
"No one messes with Mikey except us!" Raph declares.
"And if you try this again, I'll break every single one of your stupid teeth." Gio threatens.
"Guys, I don't know what to say." Mikey smiles beyond touched.
His brothers were beating up a giant crocodile just for him and needless to say Killer Croc did not last long.
Soon Penguin and Croc were being taken away while everyone was in the Bio Ship flying back.
"Whoo! We did it! We saved the day." Mikey cheers before wrapping his arms around his brothers. "I can't believe you guys beat up that croc just for me. You guys love, you really love me." Mikey sniffles.
"Mikey stop crying." Leo said annoyed.
"Yeah we only did it because we knew if we came back without you Master Splinter would never let us go anywhere again." Raph denies.
"I love you guys so much!" Mikey sobs pulling them into a bone-crushing hug.
"Is it too late to let him get eaten?" Raph cringed.
"Just shut up and take the hug." Gio cringed.
"See what we put up with?" Donnie asks causing everyone to chuckle.
"I could get used to working with you guys." Kid Flash smiles.
"Agreed. I think this partnership is proving to be amazing for us all." Aqualad said.
"Although this whole mind-reading thing of yours is gonna take some getting used to." Donnie said looking Miss Martian.
"It takes time." She nods when Kid Flash smells the air.
"Ugh what is that smell?" Kid Flash asks.
Sniffing around, Artemis looks to see the smell was coming from Gio.
"Ugh gross why do you stink so much?" Artemis asks holding her nose.
"What did you expect? I wrestled that Croc in a sewer drain. Did you think I was gonna smell like roses?" Gio asks.
"Well when we get you are taking a shower and putting on some clean clothes. I cannot take this." Artemis cringed.
"Uh there are no others, this is all I have." Gio said gesturing to his outfit.
"Not for long." Artemis said not having any of this.
Back at the cave, the team was in their civilian wear sitting with Mikey, Leo, Raph and Donnie as Megan put a pizza down.
"Aw yeah now we're talking." Mikey smiles about to grab a slice.
"Don't you think we should wait for Giovanni?" Kalder asks.
"No way, first come first serve." Raph said as all the turtles and Wally grabbed a slice when Artemis walks in.
"Come on they're in here." Artemis said.
"I don't know, these clothes feel weird." Gio said.
"That's because they're clean." Artemis said as Gio walks in wearing dark green cargo pants, a black t-shirt and a sleeveless silver jacket.
"Whoa, Gio clean is a good look for you." Robin smirks.
"Yeah, yeah it is." Gio said.
"Now we can eat." Mikey said as they all grabbed a slice.
"Hey uh thanks for this." Gio said looking to Artemis.
"Well I figured you deserved at least one clean outfit." Artemis said.
"Thanks, hey uh I know this is a little lame but I was sort of hoping you could help me figure out my own hero name." Gio admits rubbing the back of his head.
"You actually want one?" Artemis asks.
"Well I'm the only turtle who really has another identity so I thought since I'm being a hero I might as well have a new name when I'm with you guys." Gio said.
"Hmm. How about…Carapace?" Artemis suggests.
"Carapace. I like it." Gio smiles before turning to the others. "Hey save a slice for me."
"There better be some Pepperoni left." Artemis said following him.
