Chapter 6: New Friend, Old Enemy

We find ourselves at Mt. Justice as all teenagers and Turtles were watching as Master Splinter stood in the arena against Black Canary.
"I'll admit, I've never faced an opponent like you before." Black Canary said.
"I hope you realize I will not let just anyone aid in the training of my boys. You claim to be a fighter but let's see if you can handle me." Splinter said handing his walking stick to Leo.
"Oh man Master Splinter has this in the bag." Gio said.
"Yeah right, Black Canary could beat him with one hand tied behind her back." Artemis said.
"Are you really fine with this?" Red Tornado asks looking at Batman.
"He's their father, he's allowed to be involved in such things. Besides…I feel like I've met him somewhere before." Batman narrows his eyes looking at Splinter.
Standing across Splinter bows to her and Canary bows back before they both took fighting stances.
"Come on Sensei!" Mikey yells.
"Show these heroes how why we ninjas rule!" Raph calls out.
"Begin." Aqualad said
Making the first move, Black Canary goes on the attack with a series of quick punches forcing Master Splinter to dodge with calm quick movements.
"Whoa, Splinter has some good defense." Robin said impressed.
"Yes, he doesn't waste a single movement." Aqualad said when Splinter dodges one punch before doing a handstand and kicking Black Canary making her skid back.
"Oh yeah keep it up sensei!" Donnie cheers.
"Get her!" Leo said as Splinter went on the attack forcing Black Canary to block.
Leaping up Splinter does a round house but Canary counters with her own kick making both skid back.
Charging forward Black Canary leaps up with a flying side kick.
Taking a stance, Spinter takes the attack before grabbing her leg and throwing her backward to the ground.
"Quite a risky move." Black Canary said impressed.
"From great risk, comes great reward." Splinter said as both of them clash, as they did Batman was looking at Splinter with interest.
"Wait a second, that style." Batman pauses remembering something.
Flashback:
We find ourselves in Japan at the Hamato Dojo as a Young Bruce Wayne was standing across from Hamato Yoshi.
In between them stood an elderly man in white robes, this was Hamato Yuuta, Splinter's father.
"Hajime fight!" Yuuta declares as both fighters charged in.
Bruce attacks Hamato with powerful strikes but Hamato blocks them before delivering a powerful palm strike knocking Bruce back.
"Come on Bruce Wayne, is that the best you can do?" Hamato smirks.
"Hardly." Bruce recovers.
As Hamato attacks Bruce Wayne side steps and nails a few punches.
Countering Hamato sweeps his legs but Bruce does a backflip to dodge.
Jumping up, Bruce leaps in with a flying kick but Hamato takes the attack before grabbing his leg and strikes him knocking Bruce to the ground.
Groaning Bruce gets back up to see Hamato charge in for the final strike but at the last second Bruce moves in and nails Hamato with a punch to the face before judo throwing him to he ground.
"That's enough." Yuuta declares as Hamato gets up revealing a little blood on his face.
Pausing, Hamato moves to his lips and wipes some blood off it before smiling.
"I'm going to miss having a worthy opponent like you around Bruce." Hamato smiles walking up to him and offering a hand.
"Why? Scared you won't find anyone else who can kick your butt?" Bruce smirks.
"It has been a pleasure having you here Mr. Wayne, are you sure you won't reconsider staying?" Yuuta asks walking over.
"I'm flattered, but I can't I'm needed back in Gotham." Bruce shook his head.
"Very well, we wish you luck in your journey through life." Yuuta bows.
"Thank you for everything." Bruce bows before he and Hamato walk out.
Leaning against the rails, Hamato and Bruce smile.
"So any ideas what you'll do when you go home?" Hamato asks.
"Time to take over my father's company. You have your family business, I have mine." Bruce said.
"Nothing else? You don't want to find that special someone? Have a family?" Hamato asks.
"I don't know if that's for me." Bruce said when he noticed Hamato looking ahead.
Looking over he saw Hamato was checking out a beautiful woman with long black hair. This was Tang Shen.
"But I think you might have that idea." Bruce smirks.
"Tang Shen is one of a kind." Hamato smiles.
"Go talk to her." Bruce urged.
"I don't know what if she says no?" Hamato asks.
"You won't know until you try. Hamato as your friend who is about to leave, I demand you go to talk to her as a last request from me." Bruce orders.
"Okay, okay. I'm going I'm going." Hamato chuckles before walking over to Tang Shen.
When she notices the blood on his lips, Tang Shen wipes it off causing both to laugh and smile.
"Those two are meant for each other." Bruce smiles.
Flashback End:
'Hamato Yoshi, I almost didn't recognize you old friend.' Batman thought as a smile formed on his face.
Exchanging punches and blocks Splinter and Black Canary leaped back to catch their breath.
"You are quite the warrior." Splinter said.
"You're not too bad yourself." Black Canary agrees.
"That's enough." Batman said walking out surprising everyone. "You both possess measurable fighting talent. I think our young heroes could benefit from having both of you as instructors."
"What?" Gio and Artemis groan seeing neither won.
"I don't mind sharing, do you?" Black Canary asks.
"I welcome this arrangement. My boys will benefit greatly from your training." Splinter nods.
"Master Splinter would have won this hands down." Gio declares.
"Not a chance, Black Canary had him beat!" Artemis declares.
"It is amazing how someone as blind as you can shoot an arrow." Gio said.
"I'm sorry it's hard to take you seriously when your eyes are adjusting from leaving the sewer." Artemis said.
"Guys guys calm down." Mikey said trying to stop them.
"Will you just stay out of this!" Both glare at Mikey scaring him away.
Later that night in an unknown location, a large man in a red gi a helmet covering his face and armor was sitting in the middle of the room as multiple ninjas slowly approached him.
As one swings his sword the warrior caught it in his hands before attacking the ninjas as they came out of hiding.
Attacking him, the ninjas come at the warrior with everything they had but he defeats them all with ease.
Suddenly the door opens behind him, revealing a man with dark skin, an afro and a classic thug look standing near Shredder, this was Xever.
Seeing Shredder, the man took a knee.
"I trust that my greatest pupil has been using that time wisely." Shredder assumes.
"I have assembled an army of ninjas. The Foot Clan awaits your orders." The warrior said.
"Excellent. Because I've discovered an old enemy in New York. Hamato Yoshi." Shredder declares.
"Hamato Yoshi? Alive?" He gasps.
"And he is training ninjas of his own. Finally, I will finish what I started all those years ago. I want them all wiped out." Shredder orders.
"I will not fail you." He said.
"I know. But to be certain, you will work alongside Xever." Shredder said pointing to him.
"I do not need help, especially from this street rat." The warrior said standing up.
"Are you sure about that, rich boy?" Xever smirks.
"Anytime you want to test me." He growls.
"I am not interested in your petty rivalry! Xever is familiar with the dark underbelly of this city. You will work together." Shredder orders.
"Don't worry, master Shredder. We will find Splinter and his disciples and destroy them." The warrior vows.
Meanwhile in New York, Gio was running along the rooftops with his brothers right behind.
"Gio slow down!" Donnie said as Gio came to a stop allowing them to catch up.
"Wait or are you going by Carapace now?" Mikey recalls.
"I'm only Carapace when we're on missions with the team. Otherwise, it's still Gio." Gio corrects before kicking a rock. "Ugh the nerve of her."
"Her? Who's her?" Donnie asks.
"Artemis? Those two were arguing for an hour after Master Splinter fought that Black Canary lady." Leo reminds.
"Geez dude let it go." Raph said.
"What is with that girl? Every time she opens her mouth at me she drives me crazy." Gio said.
"Ha! Looks like Gio has girl problems." Raph mocks.
"Oh shut up Raph what do you know about girls?" Gio crosses his arms.
Leo was about to say something when they heard a noise.
Narrowing their eyes all 5 of them turn around and draw their weapons only to see it was a little kitten.
Sighing Leo steps back.
"Don't give up, Leo. You might actually win this fight." Raph smirks.
"Aww." Mikey smiles picking it up. "It's a little kitty. And its name is—"
"Mittens!" Someone calls out.
"Good guess." Mikey said looking at the tag. "Wait who said that?"
Looking across they saw a man in the window calling out for the cat.
"I think that's the owner." Donnie said.
"I better bring it back over." Gio said when Mikey got up and headed over. "Mikey! What are you doing?"
"Stop!" Leo yells.
"Wait!" Raph said.
"What? I'm returning Mittens to her owner." Mikey said.
"Are you an idiot? Wait let me rephrase that. You're an idiot!" Raph said.
"You can't show yourself to a human." Donnie said.
"Why not?" Mikey asks.
"Because he'll freak out that's why." Gio said.
"Mikey this is the main reason Gio is our people person." Leo said.
"Give me the cat I'll do it." Gio said.
"Come on. I'm not that scary." Mikey said.
"You're an ugly, green mutant armed with ninja weapons." Raph deadpans.
"Look, this guy's gonna see that I'm just a regular, cat-loving dude like him. Next thing you know, we'll be best buds. This is gonna be awesome!" Mikey said running off.
"Oh no." The turtles groan.
"Mittens!" The man calls out when Mikey leaps onto the fire escape.
"Hi. Here's your—" Before Mikey could finish the man screams in horror.
"Ugly, green mutant freak!" He points.
"But I got your cat!" Mikey said holding out Mittens.
"Help! He's got my cat!" He screams.
"Dude, chill! I'm just—" Before Mikey could finish Mittens hissed at him and jumped off his face causing Mikey to scream and fall over crashing down into the alley.
Groaning the 4 of them roll their eyes before jumping down to him.
"See? This is why we leave this kind of thing to Gio." Leo said as Mikey got up.
"Someone want to help me with this?" Mikey turns around revealing Mittens was still on his shell.
"No." They all said.
Groaning Mikey pulls the cat off and threw it.
"Face it. Aside from April and the heroes, humans will never understand you. Heck, we don't even understand you." Raph said.
"Yeah." Mikey sighs when he notices a billboard. "But I bet that guy would!"
Looking up they saw it was a muscular man with brown hair, a beard and serious muscles.
"Chris Bradford. The martial arts superstar. With a chain of dojos across the country. He's your soul mate?" Leo asks.
"We have so much in common." Mikey said mimicking the pose on the billboard.
"What if you stop standing like that?" Donnie asks.
"We'll have a little less in common, but still a lot. And look, he's in town for a Martial Arts Expo. Maybe he'll show me his secret kata, the death dragon. And I'll show him my secret kata, the secret kata." Mikey grins.
"Wow catchy." Gio said sarcastically.
"Check it out." Mikey does some moves before waving his hands in a weird wave like manner. "But don't tell anyone you saw that."
"Easy." Leo deadpans.
"Face it, Mikey, Chris Bradford is the last person on Earth that would be friends with you. Well, tied for last, with everyone else on Earth." Raph said.
Little did they know Foot Ninjas were watching them from above before dropping down and surrounding them.
"Ninjas? In New York? Other than us?" Donnie said surprised.
"Think these are those League of Shadows they mixed us up with?" Gio asks.
"Either way, let's take them down." Raph said as they drew their weapons.
Drawing a shuriken a ninja throws it at them hitting Donnie's staff.
Charging in the ninjas attack them, but the Turtle brothers fight them off.
"Lucky you guys, I get to take all my anger out on you now." Gio said blocking a sword with this tonfas.
Leaping up Gio kicks him in the face sending him crashing to the ground.
Nearby Raph and Leo had their backs to each other as they fought off the ninjas.
"Why are you so happy?" Raph asks noticing a smile on Leo's face.
"It's just nice to finally be fighting people, instead of robots, or aliens, or crazy super villains or weed-monsters." Leo said when the large warrior drops in.
Turning to him, Leo was immediately met with a fist to the face sending him crashing into the wall.
Before Raph could even react, the warrior kicks him in the chest sending him crashing to the ground as well.
Gasping Donnie leaped in with his staff but the warrior caught it and whacks Donnie in the face with his own weapon.
Turning around the warrior swings the staff at Gio but he blocks it with his shield.
Leaping up Gio swings his tonfa but the warrior ducks and delivers an uppercut knocking him into Raph.
Spinning his nunchaku, Mikey it throws it at him but the warrior grabs it and yanks him in.
"What are you?" He asks when Mikey pushes off his stomach and leaps back allowing Leo to leap in with this sword and break the chain making him stumble back.
Getting up the five turtle brothers stood together ready to continue.
The warrior was about to retaliate when they heard the sounds of sirens getting closer.
Growling both sides of ninjas fled for the time being.
Down in the sewers, April was nervously looking from the couch as Miss Martian sat nearby.
"What? Do I have something on my face?" Miss Martian asks.
"No uh…sorry it's just a lot to take in. Uh I'm April." April said.
"Miss Martian." She smiles.
"So uh are you gonna help us find my dad?" April asks.
"We're gonna try April, but in the meantime, I hope we can be friends." She said.
"Same, by the way, I love your hair." April said.
"Really? Thanks I combed it myself. I love yours. I've always wondered if I should try a ponytail." Miss Martian said.
"You should totally try it." April smiles as both redheads seemed to be connecting.
"So we can trust her?" Kid Flash asks as he sat with Raph and Donnie.
"Yeah April's cool. She's a friend." Raph said.
"And besides, M'Gann seems to be getting along great with her." Donnie said.
In the kitchen, Gio and Leo were explaining what happened to Splinter and Aqualad.
"More ninjas?" Aqualad asks surprised.
"Their leader was crazy good, by which I mean he was good and seemed a little crazy." Leo said.
"Unfortunately we weren't at our best." Gio said.
"And besides, he had all these guys with him. It-it wasn't a fair fight." Leo said.
"What do you mean fair fight?" Splinter asks.
"You know, a fight where either side could win." Gio said.
"So a fair fight is a fight you could lose." Splinter said.
"What no. I-I mean." Gio sutters.
"You don't want to assure your victory?" Splinter asks.
"What? No we—" Before Leo could finish Splinter knocks him and Gio to the ground with this staff.
"Was that fair?" Splinter asks.
"No." Gio said.
"Did I win?" Splinter asks causing both to pause.
"We see your point." Leo groans.
"Being a hero never guarantees the fight will be in your favor. You have to be ready to be on the bad end as well." Aqualad said helping them up.
"Noted." Leo said.
"Seek victory, not fairness." Splinter said walking away.
"Master Splinter is very wise." Aqualad said.
"Yeah, we're lucky to have him." Gio said.
Later in the main room, everyone was trying to rest and unwind.
And needless to say April and Miss Martian were becoming really close.
"Okay you have to tell me everything." April said.
"Well I can't tell you everything just yet." Miss Martian teases causing her to laugh.
"At least Miss Martian is making the best of this." Aqualad said.
"Of course, everyone likes her." Kid Flash said.
"Whoa, that's rad! Oh, I wish me and Chris Bradford were friends!" Mikey said laughing.
"Mikey you already have human friends. Me." April said.
"And us." Kid Flash said.
"April, you don't count. We saved your life, you have to like us. And Kid Flash you guys attacked us, same rules apply." Mikey said.
"Gee thanks." April deadpans.
"Ignore him, we love having you guys around." Gio said walking in.
"Thanks Gio." April smiles.
"Too bad there's no place for freaks to meet people where no one can see how hideous they are." Raph said.
"Actually, there is. By going on the internet, you can make tons of friends. I do it all the time." Miss Martian said.
"Me too. Donnie, can I borrow your laptop?" April asks.
"Uh sure." Donnie said giving it to her.
"Check it out, it's a site where you can make friends with anybody online." April types.
"Oh yeah I hear people talking about this site on my trips uptop." Gio said.
"Sweet." Mikey said grabbing it from April and types. "Oh, Chris Bradford's on here! He'll be my first friend!"
"Uh Mikey, people don't always respond immed—" Before April could finish the request was confirmed.
"But sometimes they do." Kid Flash said impressed.
"No way! Chris Bradford has accepted my friendship! I have a friend! Miss Martian, April you two are the best!" Mikey said hugging them before getting up.
"Wait where you going?" Gio asks.
"To hang out with my friend, Chris Bradford." Mikey smiles.
"Dude he's a celebrity, his account must have a thousand friends." Kid Flash said.
"And guess who's number 5,286?" Mikey asks.
"You?" Kid Flash asks.
"Daniel Ramirez! And I'm right next to him. Later!" Mikey said running out.
"There he goes again." Gio sighs.
"Well, this ought to be interesting." April said.
"Uh should we go after him?" Miss Martian asks.
"Eh, he's gotta learn somehow." Raph shrugs.
Outside Chris Bradford's dojo, Chris was locking up for the night.
Turning down an alley, Mikey leaps in behind him.
"Hey." Mikey said getting his attention. "What up? Hey. I'm—" Before Mikey could finish Chris threw shuriken at him. "I'm being attacked by Chris Bradford! This is so cool!" Mikey screams. "No wait! We're friends!"
"What?" Chris asks confused stopping his attacks.
"We're online friends! You accepted me, remember?" Mikey reminds.
Pausing Chris got an idea and smiles. "Oh. Of course. Nice to meet you." Chris said as Mikey shook his hand excitedly. "Uh Won't you come in?"
Later that night, Carapace and the Ninja Turtles led, Miss Martian, Kid Flash and Aqualad to the spot.
"Right down there is where they attacked us earlier today." Carapace points.
"They must have been waiting for you from this spot." Aqualad realized.
"The perfect place to stage an ambush." Leo said.
"These guys definitely don't sound like the League of Shadows." Miss Martian said.
"How do you know for sure?" Raph asks.
"You guys are still alive; they wouldn't let something like Police Sirens scare them away." Kid Flash said.
"Okay so that rules them out." Leo said.
"And then and then Chris Bradford put on his hakama. Man, that guy can rock a hakama!" Looking over they saw Mikey bragging about Chris to Raph and clearly driving him nuts.
"Yeah, maybe he'll wear it again when he takes you to the prom." Raph said.
"And then he—"
"Mieky knock it off! You've been talking about it for 3 hours!" Raph said.
"Seriously, it's getting annoying." Kid Flash said.
"Ooh someone's jealous. You just can't admit that you were the "R" word." Mikey said confusing them. "Rong."
"Uh Mikey, wrong starts with a W." Miss Martian points out
"I'm not wrong." Raph said.
"Yeah no offense, but even we didn't make friends with you guys that fast." Kid Flash said.
"Oh, yeah? If you don't want to talk about my friend, I've got three other brothers and two friends who do." Mikey said moving to the others.
"Actually, I'd rather talk about anything else." Leo said.
"Like basic spelling perhaps." Aqualad said.
'If you guys want we can try doing this.' Miss Martian said linking their minds causing the turtles to shudder.
"Sorry Miss M, but we still need to get used to that." Donnie said.
"In time you will." Aqualad said.
"Fine. Heh, I'll go talk to a guy who likes to talk about Chris Bradford more than anyone else: Chris Bradford." Mikey said before leaving.
"Ugh I hope you three don't have siblings." Carapace said.
"Nope only child." Kid Flash said.
"Sadly no." Aqualad said.
"Hmm I had quite a few relatives back on Mars." Miss Martian said.
"Well at least you're a whole planet away. We're stuck with Mikey for the rest of our lives." Raph said.
"Don't you wanna go after him?" Aqualad asks.
"No." All four turtles said.
"But he's your brother." Miss Martian said.
"We're not his babysitters, if Mikey wants to ditch us for his new friend whatever." Raph said.
"Besides any chance we can get a break from him is a blessing." Carapace points.
"Sounds like you guys hate him." Kid Flash said.
"What? No we don't hate Mikey." Leo said.
"Yeah he's annoying but we don't hate him." Donnie said.
"He's family, we may not get along all the time but we always have each other's backs." Carapace said.
"Even if it's Mikey." Raph said causing Miss Martian to giggle.
"You guys are one interesting family." She smiles.
"But you all are very loyal to each other. I can respect that." Aqualad smiles.
"And you're kinda fun to be around." Kid Flash smiles.
At Chris Bradford's dojo, Chris was punching a bag when Mikey drops in.
"There's my best buddy in the whole world" Mikey said causing him to groan softly before putting on a smile.
"Michelangelo, Mikey, the Big M. How you doing, buddy?" Chris asks.
"I am stupendous, Chris. Chrissy B. I gotta work on your nickname. Ooh Rad-Brad!" Mikey suggests.
"You know, I was just thinking how we're such close friends and yet I know so little about you." Chris said.
"You think we're close friends?" Mikey smiles.
"Of course! Now tell me everything about you." Chris said.
"Well, where should I start? Ooh I named all six of my toes." Mikey said.
"How interesting." Chris cringes as Mikey holds his foot up.
"There's Stubby and Joey nails—" Mikey lists before Chris moves his foot.
"Oh, that's that that's fascinating. But I was thinking more about your impressive ninjitsu skills. You must have an incredible sensei." Chris said.
"Oh he's the best. Now meet the Stinky Triplets." Mikey said holding his other foot up.
"Ugh." Chris groans pushing it away. "Who's hungry?"
"Me! I want pizza! Do you like pizza?" Mikey asks.
"Uh sure." Chris said and Mikey immediately hugs him.
"Whoa. We have so much in common." Mikey said.
Soon, Mikey and Chris were enjoying pizza together on the rooftops.
"Isn't this great? Blue skies, pizza, couple of dudes just hanging?" Mikey asks.
"Yeah great." Chris cringed. "Since we've gotten so close, maybe you could tell me a little more about your brothers."
"Oh oh, yeah. Uh, they're good dudes. But sometimes I don't think they respect me." Mikey said with a mouthful of pizza." Mikey said.
"Uh I can't imagine why. How about we go inside?" Chris suggests.
Leading him back into the dojo, Mikey sees a katana hanging on the wall.
"Look at that katana! That looks old." Mikey said.
"Yes, yes, it's over 400 years old." Chris said before chuckling impatiently. "But getting back to your sensei."
"Look, Rad-Brad, I'd love to tell you, but there's just some things I have to keep secret." Mikey said picking it up.
Gasping Chris grabs it from his hand quickly.
"But we're friends. And friends share their secrets, don't they?" Chris asks putting it back causing Mikey to gasp.
"Are you saying you're going to show me your secret kata, the death dragon?" Mikey asks excited.
"Tell you what. As a show of trust and friendship, I will teach you the death dragon." Chris grins.
"Alright." Mikey smiles.
"But you have to swear not to show it to anyone." Chris said.
"I won't tell a soul." Mikey said.
Back at the lair, Mikey was showing the move to his brothers and teammates.
"And then he kicks, twists, and sweeps the leg Ha! The death dragon." Mikey finishes.
"Wow, that's amazing." Leo said.
"Yes, quite the technique." Aqualad said impressed.
"Imagine if we could use that move." Kid Flash said.
"Yeah, it's devastatingly effective and complex." Donnie said.
"And yet even Mikey could learn it." Raph said.
"Thank you." Mikey said before pausing. "Hey!"
Suddenly his laptop beeped meaning he got a message.
"It's Rad-Brad! That's my little name for him. He wants to get together for a little B-ball. Can't wait to find out what the "B" stands for!" Mikey said typing.
"Uh it means Baseball." Kid Flash points out as Mikey stood up.
"Wait are you leaving now?" Carapace asks.
"Sorry, dudes, human friend stuff. You know how it is. Oh, wait. No, you don't." Mikey said but Carapace deadpans. "Uh I mean besides you bro."
"Do you really think it's wise to be spending so much time with him?" Aqualad asks.
"What do you mean?" Mikey asks.
"Mikey, you gotta give your friends some space. You can't spend all your time with him." Miss Martian said.
"Can and will." Mikey chuckles leaving.
"Okay I'll admit it, he's getting annoying." Kid Flash said.
Back at Bradford's dojo, Xever was examining the sword as Chris was on his laptop.
"The freak is on his way. The trap is set." Chris said.
"Pretty weapon for a tough guy. In prison, we made our own weapons." Xever said.
"I'll keep that in mind if I'm ever stupid enough to wind up in prison." Chris mocks making Xever angry.
At the base, Aqualad was sparing with Leo as they tried out the new move when Splinter walks in.
"Not quite." Aqualad said dodging the attack.
"Wait, I think I got it." As Leo did the move, time slowed down as Splinter gasps seeing a memory.
"Where did you learn that move?" Splinter calls out.
"Mikey's new friend showed him that move." Carapace said.
"The man who taught him that kata is no friend! It comes from the Shredder." Splinter said surprising them.
"Shredder? Your enemy?" Donnie gasps.
"Then that means, Chris Bradford works for him." Miss Martian gasps.
"He must be." Splinter said.
"So Bradford's just pretending to be Mikey's friend to get to you." Aqualad realized.
"Oh, what a relief. Everything makes sense now." Rpah said before realizing what that meant. "Mikey's in trouble!"
"Come on!" Kid Flash said as they raced out.
At the dojo, Mikey walks in to see all the lights were out.
"Rad-Brad? Hello? Hello? Raddie-Braddie? Did you plan me a surprise party?" Mikey asks when the warrior and Xever come out of the shadows and attack him. "Whoa!" Mikey struggles to dodge and block their attacks but ended up overwhelmed and knocked to the ground.
"Uh tell me what you've done with Chris, or you guys are in serious trouble." Mikey said.
"Haven't you figured out who I am?" The warrior asks.
"Should I?" Mikey asks.
"We've already met face-to-face." He said.
"No. It can't be. You're the guy with the cat?" Mikey gasps.
"You fool." Taking off his helmet, the warrior was actually Chris Bradford.
"Rad-Brad? What?" Mikey gasps as Chris knocked him to the ground and tied him up. "I thought we were friends. I introduced you to all of my toes."
"You actually thought someone like me could be friends with a freak like you? Pathetic!" Chris mocks.
"I say we get rid of him." Xever suggests gripping the katana.
"Nothing would make me happier, but we need him. All part of the trap." Chris said as they walked out.
Arriving at Bradford's dojo, Miss Martian turned invisible and she phased through the ceiling and found him surrounded by Foot Clan ninjas.
Narrowing her eyes, she slowly flies up and unlocks the window for the roof allowing the other turtles to sneak in.
Racing in Carapace, Leo, Raph and Donnie take out all the ninjas with ease making Mikey smiles.
"Dudes! That was sporadic!" Mikey said.
"Ssshh." All of them shush.
"Also, that's not what sporadic means." Miss Martian whispers.
Sneaking out, Chris, Xever and some foot ninjas watched as the 6 of them snuck out and into the sewers.
"Perfect." Chris grins.
"We've got them." Xever grins.
As the Foot clan members snuck in, they made their way down the sewer tunnel.
Little did Chris and Xever realize something super fast was racing in and out grabbing Foot Ninjas while something yanked them in from the water.
Entering a large room where the sewage goes out Chris and Xever noticed their back was up missing.
One Foot Ninja tried to move when something phased through the walls and grabbed him creating a muffled gasp.
Hearing this Xever took out a flare to light the room.
"Show yourselves!"
Looking up they saw all the Foot Ninjas tied up and hanging from the ceiling.
"What the?" Chris gasps.
"So hard to find good help nowadays isn't it?" Kid Flash asks appearing across from them.
Gasping they saw Carapace, the Ninja Turtles, Aqualad and Miss Martian come out of hiding.
"They've trapped us!" Xever gasps.
"Take them down!" Chris yells as they both charged in.
Drawing his tonfas, Carapace attacks Xever who dodges and weaves.
Swinging a kick, Xever blocks it and nails Carapace in the gut before doing a jump kick knocking him into the wall.
Gasping Donnie and Mikey attack.
Leaping up, Xever wraps his legs around Mikey's head before throwing him into Donnie.
As he tries to regain his footing, Kid Flash races in and rams into Xever knocking him down.
Nearby, Raph, Leo and Aqualad were swinging their weapons but Chris uses the sword catching technique on Leo before throwing him into Raph.
Moving in, Aqualad clashes with Chris who dodges and weaves in order to avoid being sliced.
"You're new." Chris said.
"You're a disgrace to real warriors. Using friendship to get what you want?" Aqualad growls.
Drawing a kunai, Chris swings it at Aqualad who dodges and nails several quick punches to his gut.
Looking up the three saw Donnie, Mikey and Kid Flash give them the signal.
Moving down the two teams switch opponents.
As Raph, Leo and Aqualad try to attack quick and nimble Xever he dodges all their moves.
"Too easy." Xever mocks when he notices Carapace standing up but his head was hanging downwards.
"Out of the way!" Xever said charging at him.
Looking over, Aqualad gasps. "Carapace look out!"
Slowly holding up his hand, Carapace caught Xever's hand with ease before grabbing his other hand locking Xever in his grip.
'What is this?' Xever thought speechless.
Lifting his head up, Carapace's eyes glowed green. "You tried to hurt my family." Carapace said.
"What the?" Aqualad said surprised when Gio's eyes suddenly returned to normal.
"Hi yah!" Gio yells kicking Xever back.
Leaping in Mikey wraps his nunchaku around Chris's arms allowing Donnie to whack him with this staff and Kid Flash to punch him in the face.
Continuing their assault the two villains were forced in front of a large pipe.
"They knew we were following them." Chris realized.
"That's right." Mikey said using Chris own kata against him. "Sweep the leg!" Delivering a kick, Chris was sent knocking into Xever. "Hit it!" Mikey yells.
On the other side Miss Martian pulls a switch releasing tons of sewer water washing Xever and Chris down the sewers.
"Well that didn't seem fair." Raph smirks.
"No it was not." Leo smiles.
"Carapace, what was that?" Aqualad asks.
"What was what?" He asks confused.
"How you beat Xever." Aqualad said.
"Oh uh just a little martial arts. I'll show it to you sometime." Carapace said confusing him.
Back at the Turtle base, all of them were sitting down for pizza.
"Mmm, I gotta admit. You guys have the right idea." Kid Flash smiles grabbing a slice.
"Um, sensei, aren't you hungry?" Donnie asks.
"I fear we are celebrating too soon." Splinter said.
"Too soon? The bad guys were swept away in a river of raw sewage. By my watch, that makes it the perfect time." Raph said.
"Shredder knows I'm alive. And worse, he knows about all of you. It's my worst nightmare come true." Splinter said.
"He'll be coming after all of us, won't he?" Aqualad realized.
"So it's not over?" Gio asks.
"No, it's just the beginning." Splinter declares.
Nearby Raph noticed Mikey looking at his laptop and walks over.
"How you doing, Mikey?" Raph asks.
"This was all my fault. I should have never thought I could be friends with a human." Mikey said.
"Don't be so hard on yourself." Raph said.
"So it's not my fault?" Mikey asks.
"Of course it's your fault." Raph said causing him to frown. "If you tell the others, I'll beat the green off you, but you're an awesome guy." Raph said patting him on the shell.
"Bradford didn't think so." Mikey said.
"Eh, he's a psychotic killing machine. You deserve way better friends than him. And look we have better friends." Raph said gesturing to Aqualad, Kid Flash and Miss Martian.
"You know what, you're right. Thanks Raph." Mikey smiles.
"Anytime." Raph said walking away.
"Unfriend." Mikey said unfriending Chris. "Ha-Ha! Revenge."
In his room, Splinter was sitting down meditating when he heard a knock the door.
"Come in." Splinter said as Aqualad slides open the door.
"Forgive me for intruding, Master Splinter but something new has come to my attention and I feel you should know about it." Aqulad said sitting across from him.
"What is it in regards to?" Splinter asks.
"During the battle against Bradford and his associates I noticed something different with Giovanni." Aqualad said getting his attention.
"Different how?" Splinter asks curious.
"It was only for a brief moment but I saw Giovanni's eyes glow green." Aqualad said.
"Green eyes? That has never happened before. What do you think it means?" Splinter asks.
"I think Giovanni might have some abilities that have laid dormant inside him for some time." Aqualad said.
"But now that he is encountering danger these abilities are beginning to surface." Splinter realized.
"We have a name for those with this kind of ability, we call them metahumans. You're saying he's never done this before?" Aqualad asks.
"No, he hasn't." Splinter said.
"Maybe he doesn't even know he has this gift." Aqualad said.
Standing up Splinter looks to Giovanni and upon seeing the scar on the side of his head Splinter's eyes widen. "Or maybe…he just forgot."
"Master Splinter what do you think about all this?" Aqualad asks curious.
"I don't know how, but I think Giovanni's past may have a great impact on the battles to come." Splinter said.
