Chapter 11: Never Say Xever
Hey everyone I'm back with a new chapter. Now I come bearing sad news, unfortunately Season 5 of Young Justice has been canceled meaning we're stuck with only 4 seasons despite the insane cliffhanger they ended on. Which means I have to do some rearranging to this story to make things work out. In the meantime, I can still keep things going and bring you chapters. I hope you like what I have planned. We find ourselves in Shredder's layer as Chris was bowing as Shredder looked out the window.
"Hamato Yoshi's disciples are turtles? And yet they managed to defeat you?" Shredder said outraged.
"Man-sized turtles. Trained in ninjutsu. Well not all of them were turtles. One was dressed like a turtle but he was human and he had some other teens in the group as well. I almost had them." Chris defends as Xever walks in.
"Till you lead us into their trap. If you'd let me take them down when I wanted—" Xever said.
"Then we'd never find Hamato." Chris glares.
"Silence." Shredder said making his way down. "You were such a promising student. I expected much more from you." Shredder said pointing his blades at Chris' throat.
"Sensei, give me another chance. I will not fail you again." Chris begs as Shredder steps back.
"No, you won't. Xever, you are in charge." Shredder said making Xever grin.
"I won't take orders from this gutter trash." Chris refuses.
"Is that so?" Shredder asks readying his arm blades again.
"Unless you want me to, master." Chris said quickly.
"I've already put the word out on the street to watch for the turtles. And when I find them, I'll peel them out of their shells and drop them at your feet." Xever grins.
Narrowing his eyes, Shredder walks away leaving an eager Xever and a less-than-eager Chris to do their job.
Meanwhile, in another part of the city, Mikey, Donnie, Leo, and Raph were sneaking around while April and Gio were walking ahead.
"You guys want to speed it up a little?" April asks when Donnie pops out revealing they were right next to them.
"Are you saying turtles are slow?" Donnie asks.
"That's a hurtful stereotype." Mikey said.
"You're slower than me." Gio points out.
"That's different. You've been mastering that speed for years." Donnie said.
"Trust us, April. Aside from Gio we are better off keeping a low profile. We find people treat us better when they don't know we exist." Leo said.
"Sorry. I'm just so excited to get you all out of the sewer for a change." April said.
"What are you talking about? We go out all the time." Raph said.
"Yeah, but tonight you're going to do something besides hitting people and having Gio run errands." April said.
"Aww." Raph said wishing he could hit something.
"Don't worry. You're going to love this noodle place I found. We can bring the team next time." April points out.
"Let's not get too crazy just yet. How do you know we'll even be welcome?" Donnie asks.
"Don't worry Mr. Murakami doesn't care what you look like. In fact, he won't even know what you look like. He's blind." April said.
"A blind cook? Wow." Gio said impressed.
"Awesome." Mikey said and Raph immediately hit him on the head. "Uh I mean for us."
Suddenly they heard a noise coming from the restaurant.
Looking at it they saw multiple thugs wrecking up the place. In the corner we see a blind cook nervously cooking in the corner. This was Murakami.
"Who are those guys?" Donnie asks.
"The Purple Dragons. They think they own the streets around here." April glares.
As one tries messing with Murakami the blind man swings a cutting board knocking him back.
While his fellow Purple dragons laughed at him, the Purple dragon Fong moved in and knocked Murakami to the ground.
As he started beating the blind man up, the turtles looked at each other.
"So much for not hitting people tonight." Gio said putting his mask over his eyes.
"Oh well." Raph grins fine with the change in plans.
"Booyakasha!" Bursting into the restaurant, the 5 brothers had weapons at the ready.
"All right, let him go. You don't want any trouble." Leo warns.
"We on the other hand do." Raph grins.
"Whoa, those guys were serious. There really are giant turtles." Fong said before noticing Gio. "Well almost all of them."
"You've heard of us? Dudes, we're famous." Mikey grins.
"That's not a good thing." Donnie scolds.
"Oh right." Mikey pauses.
"Whatever you are, this neighborhood is ours. So why don't you slither back to the ocean you came from?" Fong warns.
"Actually, we're freshwater turtles. I suspect that we're derived from the diamondback terrapin but it's possible we're a common box—" Donnie said.
"Stop talking." Gio orders.
"Get'em!" Fong orders as the Purple Dragons attack.
As the Purple Dragons attacked the 5 Ninja brothers managed to avoid all their attacks while April snuck in to get Murakami.
While one swings a sledgehammer, Gio dodges with ease allowing Raph to move in and kick him in the gut. While he staggered back Gio punched him in the face knocking him to the ground.
As the other member attacks Donnie he dodges the attack and knocks him toward Mikey who hits him back.
Crawling under the counter to get Murakami, April noticed a Purple Dragon about to attack Mikey who was interested in a bowl of soup.
Grabbing a lid she threw it hitting the Purple Dragon in the head.
"Thanks April." Mikey smiles.
Jumping in Gio used his shield to block a bowl flying toward April and Murakami.
"Whoa I didn't see that one coming." April said impressed.
"Okay, the time to take things slow is over. Let's move." Gio said as he and April got him out.
Nearby Leo was facing Fong who had grabbed a cleaver.
Swinging it at him, Leo blocks the attack and throws Fong against the wall.
Grabbing him by the vest, Leo pulls back his fist to let him have but when he sees Fong flinch in fear Leo stops himself.
Letting him go Fong looks at him in confusion.
"Get outta here." Leo orders.
Not needing to be told twice, Fong walks off the counter and picks up his friends.
"Come on let's go." Fong said before turning to them. "This isn't over Greeny!" He declares before leaving.
"Greeny? Really? I wonder how many brain cells he put to work on that." Donnie said as Gio came back in.
"Hmm they're not as hurt as I thought they would be." Gio said.
"Because Leo let him go. Why would you do that?" Raph glares.
"They weren't exactly a threat. They'd had enough." Leo said.
"Dude! They were beating up a blind guy. There's no "enough". Now they'll think we're wimps and we don't have the guts to finish the job." Raph said.
"Raph we may be ninjas but not we're not monsters." Gio said.
"Great job guys. You were great." April said leading Murakami back in.
"My friends, I'm indebted to you. Please, allow me to make you a meal. Free of charge." Murakami offers.
"I think we can allow that." Raph smiles.
"What is your favorite dish?" Murakami asks.
"Pizza!" The 5 of them smiled.
Soon Murakami was hard at work. Moving around the kitchen he used amazing skills in prepping their food.
"Murakami-san, that was awesome!" Donnie said.
"You're like a ninja but with food." Mikey said.
"Pizza Gyoza!" Murakami declares placing trays of gyoza dumplings in front of them.
"Pizza Gyoza?" April said weirded out.
"This is really good too." April said holding up her noodles.
While his brothers just chose their Pizza Gyoza, Gio leaned in.
"I'll try some." Gio said scooting closer.
"Here you go." Holding out her chopsticks April fed him some noodles and instantly Gio smiled.
"Mmm that is good. Murakami san any chance I can get a bowl of this too?" Gio asks.
"Sure thing." He nods.
"Murakami-san, do the Purple Dragons come around a lot?" Leo asks making him frown.
"Yes. They demand protection money but I refuse to pay. They will surely return." Murakami sighs.
"Well, they wouldn't if somebody hadn't wimped out." Raph said making Leo growl.
While he was distracted Mikey took the last of Leo's pizza gyoza much to his anger.
Chuckling nervously Mikey hoped Leo would let him off the hook…he was wrong.
At the turtle base, we see Kid Flash, Artemis and Miss Martian had come to check in on the team.
"Whoa what happened to you?" Kid Flash asks seeing Gio put ice on Mikey's face.
"Ow." Mikey winced.
"Oh don't act like you didn't deserve it." Gio said.
"What happened?" Miss Martian asks getting their attention.
"In general or with Mikey because both are linked?" Gio asks.
"Did some villain beat you up?" Miss Martian asks worriedly.
"No. Leo did." Mikey winced.
"Mikey tried to steal Leo's food after a tangle with a Street Gang that was causing trouble and Leo punched him." Gio deadpans.
"Did you at least stop the gang?" Artemis asks annoyed.
"Yes and no." Gio sighs.
Confused they look to Leo who was attacking the sparring dummy.
"Whoa, whoa, Leo. I think he's had enough. You better let him go." Raph mocks.
"I get it. You're making fun of me for not mercilessly pummeling a helpless man." Leo said.
"You let a criminal go?" Artemis asks in disbelief. "What is wrong with you?"
"Hey he was beaten. I thought that was enough." Leo said.
"You don't show any enemy weakness. That's how they exploit it." Artemis said.
"Well hold on. I think they made the right call." Kid Flash said. "I mean we're not criminals. We gotta be better than them."
"Thank you." Leo said.
"Yeah I think Leo made the right call showing mercy." Miss Martian agrees.
"He showed weakness. Those guys only understand one language." Raph said.
"Chinese?" Mikey guesses.
"No fists." Raph said showing his fist.
"What about feet?" Mikey asks holding his foot up.
"They understand feet too." Raph said.
"That would make them bilingual." Donnie said.
"Get to the point." Artemis said annoyed.
"The point is we can't go soft on them!" Raph snaps when Master Splinter walks in.
"To show mercy is not soft. It is a sign of true strength." Splinter said.
"But sensei they're criminals. This is war." Raph said.
"A Daimyo of the 16th century once said in times of peace, never forget the possibility of war. In times of war, never forget compassion." Splinter said.
"Sounds like that dude sent a lot of mixed signals." Kid Flash said.
"Or like he lost a ton of war." Raph mutters.
Narrowing his eyes, Splinter swings his staff at Raph but at the last second stops himself.
"See? Mercy." Splinter said before whacking Raph on the shoulder.
"So what exactly are these people doing?" Miss Martian asks.
"There's terrorizing this neighborhood including a blind noodle shop owner named Murakami." Donnie explains.
"And they won't leave him alone." Gio said making Miss Martian gasp.
"That poor man." Miss Martian said.
"Don't worry Miss M. I'm gonna help make sure they don't bother that Murakami guy." Kid Flash said wanting to impress her.
"And just how are you going to do that?" Artemis rolls her eyes.
"We'll track down the Dragons and make sure they got the message. And if they didn't, we'll send them one. Special delivery." Leo grins.
"Was that supposed to be tough or stupid?" Raph asks.
"How are we gonna track someone down when we only have one famly member who can go out in public?" Donnie asks.
"Well then I'll need some extra help." Gio said looking at Artemis, Kid Flash and Miss Martian.
Later that night, we find April walking to a fish market where a man was sweeping.
"I'm looking for the Purple Dragons." April said and immediately the man panics.
"I don't know what you're talking about." The man said nervously.
"Don't worry, I can protect you. I'm an undercover cop." April whispers.
"You look like you're 16." He said.
"I know I'm that good." April leans against the display and almost slips on some fish before fixing herself.
"Let me see a badge." The man orders.
"Are you crazy? I can't carry a badge. That would blow my cover." April said.
"I suppose that makes sense." He said unsure. April needed something else to give him the push.
"Hey partner. What are you doing?" A female voice calls out.
Looking over they saw Megan in adult form with sunglasses over her eyes.
"Wait she's a real cop?" The man asks.
"Yes and if you don 't have anything worthwhile to share we'll be on our way." Megan said.
"In case you haven't noticed this is the bad cop." April smirks.
"Oh uh sorry officers. I do know something." He said.
Looking at each other both girls smile.
After getting the information both girls ran down and alley and Megan turns back into Miss Martian.
"You and I make the best team." April said.
"We should do this more often." Miss Martian smiles as they high-fived.
Looking over a tattoo parlor, Carapace, the Ninja Turtles, Artemis and Kid Flash were keeping an eye out for trouble.
"Miss Martian and April said this is the place." Leo said.
"Cool. Can we get tattoos? I want to get one of my face on my face. It'll be like I'm wearing a mask and the mask is me." Mikey said making them all look at him weirdly. "I just blew your minds didn't I?"
"Dude if you wanted your face tattooed on you, put it on another part of your body. If it's on your face it's a waste." Kid Flash said.
"Yeah that's what's wrong with that." Carapace rolls his eyes.
"You know they use needles for that." Donnie informs.
"Alright no more talking. Look." Artemis hisses.
Looking downwards they saw Fong leaving the tattoo parlor and walking away.
"Is that one of them?" Kid Flash asks.
"Yep." Raph nods.
Following him, they saw Fong enter a Fortune Cookie factory.
Inside, Fong made his way to the second floor where Xever and Chris Bradford were waiting.
"We saw that gang of turtles you were looking for. And we'll tell you where, for a price." Fong offers.
"Really? Just the turtles? What am I chopped liver?" Kid Flash asks opening a fortune cookie and eating the cookie. "Ooh my fortune says I'll find Luck where I least expect it."
"You again?" Chris growls remembering him.
Suddenly bursting in we see the 5 turtle brothers were weapons at the ready.
"Freeze, dirt bags." Leo said as Xever and Chris step forward. "Uh oh."
"I think we can find them ourselves." Xever said.
"Oh, man. This is awkward. It's Chris Bradford, my ex-friend. And that other guy." Mikey recalls.
"The name is Xever. So you don't forget, I'll write it on your shells with these." Xever said taking out his knives.
"Hmm no thanks we're good." Kid Flash said using his super speed and going to the bottom floor knocking down several Purple Dragons who were charging up the stairs.
Delivering a roundhouse kick, Leo knocks Fong against the wall.
He was about to recover when Leo points his sword at him.
"You're making me sorry I let you go." Leo said.
Coming at him from behind, Xever swings his knives knocking Leo down to the first floor and banging against the wall.
Racing down the stairs, Xever came at him with the intent to slaughter.
Moving in, Raph blocks with his sai forcing Xever back.
Landing on a conveyor belt, Xever found himself in between both brothers.
As a Purple Dragon swings a sledgehammer at Carapace, he dodges the attack allowing Kid Flash to run in and steal the hammer.
"I'll take that." Kid Flash said throwing it out the window.
As a Purple Dragon came at him from behind an arrow flew in from the hole in the window knocking the goon out.
Looking outside, Carapace saw Artemis with her bow drawn acting as a sniper for them.
Nearby Donnie was swinging his staff at Chris who dodges all of them before nailing the turtle with a powerful kick.
Seeing this Mikey jumps in swinging his kusarigama to help but at the last second Chris caught it.
Yanking him in, Chris jumps up and slams the two brothers down on the bottom level.
"Guys!" Carapace gasps.
"Come on we gotta help!" Kid Flash said.
They were about to head down to help them when a dozen foot ninjas burst through the walls surrounding them.
"What the what?" Artemis gasps not seeing this coming.
"Well uh this is new." Kid Flash gulps.
"Fall back!" Leo declares.
"Fall back!" Carapace yells looking outside to Artemis.
"We're giving up? Again? You kidding me?" Raph asks as shuriken rained down towards them.
"Yeah it's all part of my hilarious let's all live routine!" Leo said.
As Artemis fires an arrow at the wall it explodes making a way for them to escape.
"Hey! Stay and fight, you cold-blooded cowards!" Xever calls out but didn't notice the outline of the Bioship above him before it flew away.
Back at the turtle base, Miss Martian flew in to see them all sitting down.
"Guys I am so sorry. I wish I had caught up with you in time. We might have saw them coming." Miss Martian apologizes.
"It's not your fault. We rely too much on your telepathy as it is." Kid Flash said.
"Man, could that fight have been any more embarrassing?" Raph asks.
"Sure. We could have been hit in the face with pies." Mikey points out.
"Shut up." Artemis glares and instantly Mikey listened.
"It's called fighting smart, Raph. The Purple Dragons have Bradford and Xever on their side now. Last time, we barely beat those guys." Leo said.
"And don't forget the ninja backup." Kid Flash adds.
"Yeah, because they're willing to fight to the finish. The only way to beat them is to be just as ruthless as they are." Raph suggests.
"I don't know. Ruthless isn't really my thing." Miss Martian said as Splinter walks in.
"Raphael, this Xever can cross lines that you won't. This may make him dangerous, but it does not make him strong." Splinter said.
"Yeah but he never shows anyone mercy. That's how he wins. Just like someone else I know." Artemis said muttering that last part.
Meanwhile back at the fortune cookie factory, Xever knocked Fong to the ground.
"Please, please. I helped you find the turtles, didn't I?" Fong asks as Xever picks him up.
"Idiota. You led them to our hideout!" Xever said smashing Fong's head through a wooden case.
"So much for your street connections. You really think these common hoodlums can tell us anything useful?" Chris mocks.
"They better." Xever said pulling Fong out. "Where did you see them?"
"The east village. Some old man's noodle shop. Murakami's. We were roughing him up and they jumped in to protect him." Fong explains.
"Oh did they?" Xever asks interested.
"Big deal. How are you going to make sure the turtles or their friends don't get away again?" Chris asks.
"Easy. I'll give them a reason to stay." Xever grins.
Outside Murakami's restaurant, April was pacing around nervously when the Bioship flew in.
"Whoa." April said blown away before it landed revealing everyone.
"April what's wrong?" Carapace asks.
"It's Murakami." April said.
Leading them inside they showed the restaurant was trashed and a note was hanging from the wall.
"No more running. If you want the old man, meet us on the roof of the fortune cookie factory." Kid Flash read aloud.
"They took that poor blind man hostage?" Miss Martian gasps.
"That's just low." Carapace growls.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's bust in there and save Murakami." Raph suggests.
"Are you kidding? This has trap written all over it." Artemis said.
"Maybe so but what choice do we have? If we don't show up they'll hurt him or worse." Kid Flash asks.
"Maybe we need to start thinking like Xever." Leo smirks.
"But Master Splinter said—" Donnie starts.
"I know. But Xever crossed the line dragging Murakami into this. He's got to learn that we can cross the line too. No more Mr. Nice Heroes." Leo declares.
"Yes! I never liked Mr. Nice Hero." Raph grins.
"So what's the plan?" Carapace asks.
Soon they were all outside the Tattoo parlor ready to strike.
"Okay, he's strong, so speed and stealth are essential." Leo said.
"Everyone know the plan?" Carapace asks and everyone but Mikey nodded. "Mikey?"
"Yes." Mikey nods.
"Are you sure?" Carapace asks.
"Yes." Mikey assures.
"Tell us what it is." Artemis tests.
Pausing Mikey tried to remember but a bunch of random things came to mind instead.
"Um maybe we should go over it one more time?" Mikey suggests making them all facepalm.
As Chris Bradford was leaving the building. But just as he was about to lock up he was suddenly lifted into the air.
"What in the?" Before he could react Artemis fires an arrow tying his legs allowing the turtles, Carapace, and Kid Flash to race in, tie him up and shove him into a trashcan.
Taking out a chain, Kid Flash raced around to secure it.
"Team. Welcome to the other side of the line." Leo declares.
"Not gonna lie. I liked that." Kid Flash snickers.
"Now I'm definitely going to need a tat." Mikey said and Raph immediately hits him on the head.
As Mikey and Raph tried to pick it up Mikey accidentally dropped the can making Chris groan in pain.
"Sorry." Mikey said.
"Don't apologize to him. He's tried to kill us." Raph said.
"I mean, sorry I didn't drop you harder!" Mikey calls out.
"Better." Raph nods.
"Uh guys. You might want to see this." Artemis calls out.
Turning the corner, they look in horror to see Xever had a tied-up Murakami dangling for his life over the building.
"Okay it's official. I hate these people." Miss Martian glares.
"Xever's a jerk." Mikey declares.
Making their way to the roof, they stood across from him.
"We're here, Xever. Now let the noodle man go." Leo orders.
"Sorry, there's been a change of plans." Xever said as the foot ninjas dropped in.
"Told ya it was a trap." Artemis said.
"Actually, there's been another change of plans." Leo said revealing Chris all tied up.
"I love it when a change of plans comes together." Donnie grins.
"So here's what's going to happen. You let our friend go, we'll let your friend go." Carapace bargains.
However, Xever just burst into laughter.
"He's not my friend." Xever declares.
Walking over to Murakami, he began cutting the ropes making everyone gulp.
"Uh M'Gann please tell me he's panicking on the inside?" Donnie asks as Raph pushed Chris toward the edge.
"Uh, we're not kidding. Okay, s-stop or we'll toss him." Leo threatens.
"Go ahead. It'll save me the trouble." Xever said as the rope around Murakami weakened.
"Guys he's not kidding." Miss Martian said making the turtles pause.
"Raph?" Carapace asks.
"Aw crud." Raph said as he and Kid Flash lifted him and threw him towards the Purple dragons.
"That's what I thought. Attack!" Xever orders.
As the foot ninjas charged in the heroes took evasive actions dodging their attacks.
While Miss Martian flew around to avoid their shuriken and kunai Kid Flash quickly sprinted in and took their weapons allowing Artemis to fire multiple arrows sending them flying.
Nearby Fong had a cleaver in his hand as he charged at Leo but was easily knocked to the ground.
Glancing at him, Leo had his sword near his throat but spared him for the second time leaving the Purple Dragon to wonder.
Escaping the bindings, Chris confronted Xever.
"How could you be so sure they were bluffing?" Chris asks.
"I wasn't." Xever said making him growl.
He really didn't care whether Chris lived or died. Not as long as he got what he wanted.
Throwing a bomb in front of Kid Flash he swerved to avoid it causing him to come to halt while the Foot Ninjas readied their weapons allowing Chris and Xever to approach the team.
"Alright let's settle this pond scum!" Chris said.
"We're the ones who didn't want to throw you off the roof." Donnie points.
"Yeah where's the thanks?" Kid Flash asks before the enemy went on the attack.
Swinging his staff, Donnie attacks Chris but he blocks it allowing Xever to move in and deliver a roundhouse.
Flying in Miss Martian tried to grab Murakami but at the last second an explosive was thrown and the resulting heat and shockwave knocked her into Mikey sending them both tumbling next to Donnie.
Jumping down onto another roof, Artemis and Carapace were fighting off Foot Ninjas.
"Some plan. The second he called your bluff you guys bailed." Artemis said whacking one in the face with her bow.
"Oh I'm so sorry we're not ready to be murderers. Not all of us can be cold-blooded like you." Carapace said whacking one with his tonfas.
"Your brothers are Turtles. They're already cold-blooded." Artemis glares looking at him. "And what kind of person do you think I am?"
"Do you really want me to answer that?" Carapace glares.
"Hey you two want to save it for later? You sound like an old married couple?" Chris mocks landing in front of them.
"We are not a couple!" Both snapped.
"Look why don't leave this to the one with real experience?" Artemis glares as her eyes moved towards Chris sending Carapace a signal.
"Please unlike you I have more than just one trick." Carapace glares catching on.
"I have tons of moves and maybe I should just use them on you." Artemis glares.
"This is getting good." Chris smirks lowering his guard.
"That's fine with me. I've been itching to take you down since day one." Carapace said.
"Fine with me too!" Artemis snaps shoving him.
"Fine!" Carapace said her back.
"Ooh." Chris said loving this.
"Alright!" Both turn swinging their arms to punch each other but at the last second turned towards Chris and nailed him in the face with two punches.
"Well guess you do have a good poker face." Artemis smirks.
"Not bad, you actually had them fooled." Carapace smirks.
Grabbing an arrow, Artemis was about to fire when Xever threw a kunai scrapping her side making her cringe in pain.
Swinging his tonfas Carapace attacked Xever but the man dodges the attacks allowing Chris to punch him in the face.
With their superior numbers and Xever's sneak attacks, the team was forced back and one of Leo's swords was knocked away.
"See, Bradford? That is how you catch turtles. And next, I'll show you how to filet them." Xever grins.
"You'd never have caught them without me and you know it." Chris glares.
"Oh, yes. What would we have done without your brave leadership from inside the trash can?" Xever said sarcastically.
Looking to the ground Fong noticed Leo's katana near his feet. Despite them being the enemy Leo treated him better than Xever ever did.
Tossing the sword down, Leo looks up to see Fong looking away causing him to smile.
"Now, if you'll excuse me, it's time to cut these turtles into little pieces." Xever said.
"I don't think so." Getting up, Leo slashes the nearby water tower causing it to flood down and wash away all the enemy ninjas while Miss Martian used her powers to help them avoid the attack.
As the water rained down on Murakami, the rope broke but luckily Artemis fired a rope allowing Mikey to swing in and catch him.
Running to the edge all of them looked over nervously to see Mikey holding.
"I got him!" Mikey said making them all smile in relief.
"Nice save Mikey." Kid Flash smiles.
"Hmm not a bad shot." Carapace said looking at Artemis.
"I have my moments." She smirks.
"Don't look down, Murakami-san. Or, um, listen down." Mikey said forgetting he was blind for a second.
As they pulled them up, Leo looks over to see Fong running off revealing he was okay.
Taking Murakami back to his restaurant, Murakami presented them with a big bag of wrapped food.
"Accept this token of my gratitude. Pizza gyoza." Murakami said.
"Pizza what?" Kid Flash asks.
"It's really good trust us." Gio smiles.
"Awesome. Thanks, Murakami-san." Donnie said.
"You're welcome…turtle-san." Murakami said making all of them freeze in horror.
"Uh what?" Miss Martian gulps.
"How did you know?" Artemis asks about to grab an arrow but Gio stops her.
"I do have other senses. Touch, smell." Murakami hints.
Pausing everyone turns to Mikey who sniffs himself revealing he stunk like a sewer.
"You don't think we're weird and scary?" Leo asks.
"You saved my life. Who am I to complain?" Murakami smiles.
Smiling the heroes couldn't help but feel good after hearing that.
Back at the turtle base, Gio held out Pizza Gyoza to Artemis and April.
"Come on try it." Gio said.
"Pizza and Gyoza? That's just weird." Artemis said.
"Kid Flash likes it." Gio points.
"He eats everything." Artemis said.
"Just one. You'd be amazed how well some things work together." Gio said.
"Fine." April said as Gio fed her one and Artemis took the other.
"Whoa." Artemis said surprised.
"These are amazing." April said.
Taking the plate the two girls began chowing down. However, as they did Gio looked at them with a big smirk.
"What?" Artemis asks.
"Looks like I was right after all huh?" Gio smirks.
"Oh uh yeah I guess." April said.
"Guess what?" Gio asks.
"I'm not saying it." Artemis glares.
"I beg to differ." Gio said.
"Oh fine. You're right." April said embarrassed while Artemis just growls in anger.
Smirking Gio just walks away in victory.
"He is such a pain." Artemis said.
"Hmm Gio's interesting to say the least, but he's a nice guy once you get to know him." April said.
"Somehow I doubt that." Artemis said swiping the last Pizza Gyoza.
"Hey!" April said as she ate it.
Nearby Splinter was eating with the others.
"You all showed your strength today." Splinter said.
"Yeah but we almost lost." Raph said.
"You guys really need to come to more Black Canary lessons." Miss Martian said.
"Your strength was mercy. That is why the Purple Dragon helped you." Splinter said.
"Well? Say it." Leo smirks just like Gio did.
"Fine you were right." Raph groans.
"See was that so hard?" Leo smirks.
"Your wimpiness might not be totally useless." Raph smirks back.
"Oh you want to see wimpy? No mercy!" Leo said tackling Raph.
Meanwhile, at Shredder's base, Xever and Chris were kneeling in front of him.
"This is unacceptable." Shredder said.
"Humble apologies, master Shredder." Chris said.
"I swear next time we see them I will—" Xever starts.
"Enough!" Shredder said standing up. "I shall deal with Hamato Yoshi's disciples myself."
"But the turtles are not alone. They have allies. Strong ones." Chris adds.
"Doesn't matter. Any who stand in my way shall fall just the same." Shredder declares.
