Authoress Note: Welcome to Chapter 15 of Iron Maiden. I want to thank those who have left reviews for this story. It truly does mean a lot to me that you guys are enjoying this story. Also we got a little back story to Abigail and her beginning to work with Shield. I'm not sure how many flashback chapters I'll have, but I'll let you know as we go through this story. Without further ado Chapter 15. ENJOY!

Chapter 15

Abigail, dressed in a nice suit, walked in with Pepper slowly. She had started working with Shield now and she was going to try and get to the bottom of what Tony was thinking and what Obadiah was doing with the company right under their noses. She could only hope that she was going to be able to get to the bottom of what was going on and perhaps give Shield a piece of mind as well that no one was going to extort the company anymore than what they had already done.

Tony toiled away at an eviscerated suit suspended from a chair winch. "This device will hack into Stark Industries mainframe. I need you to go to there and retrieve all shipping manifests."

Pepper looked at Tony, her eyes wide. She couldn't believe Tony was even doing this after getting thrown around and beat up like he had. "What are you doing? Absolutely not, you should be in bed…"

"They've been dealing weapons under the table and I'm going to stop them." Tony said, looking at Pepper. He didn't like the idea that Obadiah was dealing under the table. It was giving him, his sister, and most of all the company a bad reputation and he was going to put a stop to it all.

"Absolutely not. I'm not helping you with anything if you're going to start this again." Pepper said, shaking her head. She couldn't believe that Tony was doing such a thing to have her even do such a thing under the nose of Obadiah.

Abigail bit her lip softly as she watched her brother and Pepper argue about the company and what needed to be done. She knew that this wasn't a choice that Tony had much of a call on. He needed to do this to right the company's path and that was the only thing that mattered at the moment. She believed that Tony sending Pepper in was the best bet because Obadiah wouldn't suspect her nor herself going into the company and gathering intel that they needed. "Start what again, Pepper? What is he doing right now with the suit?" She questioned her brow raising wanting to know what the strawberry blonde haired woman was talking about. To her she didn't see a problem with her brother doing this.

Pepper looked over at Abigail, bewildered as to why she was allowing Tony to continue his reckless behavior. But then again she knew that even if Abigail tried to be the voice of reason Tony would most of the time not listen to her.

"There is nothing else. There's no art opening. There's no benefit. There's nothing to sign. There's no decisions to be made. There's the next mission and nothing else. There's nothing except this."

"I quit." Pepper said firmly, gripping her hands at her sides. She couldn't do it, if it was going to bring Tony to his end.

"Really? You stood there by my side when all I did was reap the benefits of wholesale irresponsibility and destruction and now that I'm trying to right those wrongs and protect the people I put in harms way you're going to walk out on me."

"You're going to kill yourself. I can't support that." Pepper said, shaking her head.

"So far so good." Tony looked up at Pepper. "Pepper. I know what I have to do. I don't know if I can, but I know in my heart that it's right. And you do too. And I can't do it without you."

Abigail looked at her brother. "I'll go with her." She said softly looking over at Pepper knowing that the woman was having a hard time coming to her feelings and it wasn't going to be easy. "We'll get all of the information that is needed." She nodded her head. "And we'll bring it back to you… and report it to the gentleman that has been trying to get you to meet up with him."

Tony swallowed the lump in his throat and nodded his head knowing that his sister was correct in what she was saying.

Abigail turned to Pepper. "Come on, let's do this before it gets out of hand and Obadiah tarnishes the company name by doing underhanded dealings."

"And Abs?" Tony said softly, stopping his sister from leaving the room at that moment.

"Yeah?" Abigail questioned turning her head to look back at Tony.

"Be careful, yeah?"

"Always Tony." She said, offering him a small smile. She turned her attention to Pepper. "Shall we?"

Pepper took a shaky breath and nodded her head. "Alright." She said as she took the drive from Tony. She looked over at Abigail and nodded her head weakly following the younger woman out of the workshop.

I tried my best with adding more into this chapter to make it longer, but I don't know if I succeeded or not in making it longer or not. What do you think will happen when they go to Tony's office to find out what is going on? Will Abigail let Pepper in on the whole thing of her being part of Shield? What will Obadiah do?
