Chapter 26

Abigail walked over to where Pepper was. She ran her hand through her hair tiredly. She was tired of dealing with the press all over again. And Justin Hammer on top of it really didn't help all that much. She kept having a rather bad feeling around him and she couldn't quite put her finger on what was making her so uncomfortable around him. Perhaps he was a sleaze ball and she was going to learn about it soon enough if he revealed himself more of what he was planning on doing. She couldn't even believe that he wanted to be part of the expo.

Pepper looked over at Abigail. "You look exhausted." She admitted to being softly concerned about the younger woman.

Abigail put her hands behind her back as she looked at the strawberry-blonde haired woman. "I'll be alright, Pep." She admitted softly. "Just too much going on here…"

"You looked rather uncomfortable being around Justin Hammer."

Abigail fidgeted just a little bit. "He gives me the creeps. I don't know what it is about him, but there is something really off about him." She said as she sat down next to her. She let out a breath wondering where her brother was suddenly noticing that he was on the television. Her eyes widened in shock. What in the hell was he doing this time?

Pepper looked up at the screen seeing how pale Abigail had become. "Natalie. Natalie!"

Natasha came over to Pepper. "Yes, Ms Potts?"

"What do you know about this?"

"This is the first that I have known of it." Natasha said as she looked up at the television screen.

"This, this cannot happen."

"Absolutely. I understand. How can I help you?"

"Where's Happy?"

"He's waiting outside."

"Okay, get him. I need Happy."

Natasha nodded her head. "Right away."

Abigail let out a breath pinching her nose.

"Did you know anything about this?" Pepper questioned looking over at Abigail.

Abigail shook her head lightly. "No, I didn't know anything about it. I'm not his keeper."

"Look! That's Stark." Someone shouted in the room.

Abigail let out a groan as she looked at the sceen once again seeing Pepper getting up and leaving the table. "Tony, what the fucking hell are you doing? Is your blood so toxic that you are trying to end your life sooner than later?" She let out a huff as she got up to her feet quickly. She knew that whatever was going to happen she was going to have to report it, or Natasha would before she could get the chance to. But she needed to try and reel him in before things would get worse. She just hoped that she wouldn't be too late with trying to get him to calm down and quit doing stupid things.
