Chapter 7: Adam Golldyron

Cole's POV

I don't like Harumi. But as long as she gets along with everyone and doesn't start trouble then everything will be fine. Hopefully.

I lead the way and the others all follow, trying to stick together in the large crowds.

"There's so many people! How are we gonna get through here? We're like sardines in a can here!" Jay whines

"I'm sure we'll be fine. Cole, are we much farther?" Harumi asks

"It's right in the middle of the city, and there's too many people for me to see. What's even going on? There must be an event or something." I reply, stopping and looking around.

"Hey kid, what's going on?"

"They're unveiling the statue of Adam Golldyron!" He cries with glee. "It's so amazing, we've been waiting for so long!" He runs off, leaving me with many questions.

"Who?" Jay blurted.

"Lets go look!" I suggest, pushing my way through the crowd.

"Wait Cole! Not again…" Nya objects.

"Sorry, just a couple of tourists." I apologise, getting my way up the front. There's a huge wooden stage, and behind it is a clothed statue. Nya nudges me in the ribs.

"Stop running off! We don't have time for this!" She hissed. I roll my eyes and watch as a person walks on stage. He has a purple coat, short brown hair and pointed shoes. His pointed ears have large gold earrings dangling off of them, and he flicks his tail in annoyance.

"Welcome everyone!" He says, silencing the crowd. "I am Eddie Everfarming, and today after a 1,000 years of anticipation, I president to you, Adam Golldyron!" Eddie pulls the clothe down and everyone screams in delight. The statue has Adam Goldyron, a young soldier pointing his sword into the sky, while climbing a pile of rocks. He has a cape that flows in the wind and a good amount of hair on his head. It's hard to tell which colours are which since the statue is made of gold and copper. His eyes are made out of Emerald, and the cross guard of the sword is alined with emeralds, as well as Jade. Other then that he looked like a typical soldier.

"I'm getting an odd sense of Dege Ju."

"What's so special about him?" Jay asks a little too loudly.

"What's so special? What's so special about Adam Golldyron?" Eddie scoffs.

"Sorry, we're not from around here." I pipe in.

"Cleary… Adam Golldyron was our saviour, 4,000 years ago he lead us to safety here, and gifted us one of the Harmony Triad Stones, The Nexus Crystal."

"The what."

"Great Moons child! It's like you haven't been here before! Which wouldn't surprise me… Adam Golldyron, swore to protect our lands from evil, and in doing so he created the Harmony Triad Stones. The Harmony Triad Stones have the power to bring balance among the realm that they are in, and shield it and it's inhabitants from any harm."

"Wow…" I murmur.

"Wow indeed young one. Adam Golldyron was not only our saviour, but our king! After Goldyron gifted us the Nexus Crystal, he became our ruler, and served our kingdom until his final breath. Now, 4,000 years into the future, Golldyron's descendants rule the land. King Alistair." He cleared his throat. "Now, let me hear it for your king!" The crowd cheered even louder. Nya grabbed my shoulder and pulls me out of the crowd.

"This way! We're so close!"Jay says sprinting down the cobbled streets. He takes a turn and stops running.

"Here we are!" He pants. The library has many steps leading up to it, reminding me of the monastery. The building is huge, with giant oak doors leading inside.

"Better get climbing!" I say. Jay rolls his eyes and starts ascending the staircase.
