Chapter 6
The group has assembled in front of the majestic castle, with Ash and Alice stepping forward as the designated tour guides. Ash's voice carries across the gathering as he begins, "Welcome, everyone. I'll be your guide through this region, but first, there are some important rules we all must abide by."
Alice interjects, her tone firm yet welcoming, "Remember, respect is key here. Do not disturb any residents unless they provoke you first, and never wander off without permission. Any inquiries about the region should be directed to either me or Red Satoshi. Failure to comply will result in being sent back and barred from reentry."
Cynthia raises an eyebrow, voicing a concern shared by a few others, "Isn't that a bit severe, prohibiting access to the region?" Ash responds calmly but resolutely, "It may seem strict, but it ensures order. However, we'll exercise discretion for minor rule infractions."
The group, led by Lillie and others, nods in agreement, understanding the necessity of maintaining harmony. With that settled, they embark on their tour.
Ash leads them to Professor Chloe Cerise's Lab, a hub of scientific exploration nestled within the region. He introduces Chloe's achievements, mentioning her collaborations with Goh, her partner in both research and adventures.
Some among the group, including former associates and perhaps a few turncoats, recognize Chloe from Ash's past journeys. Chloe warmly greets the newcomers, her voice carrying a mix of enthusiasm and expertise, "Greetings, everyone! Welcome to my humble lab. While it may not rival my father's facility in Vermilion, I assure you, there's much to discover here. Any inquiries or curiosities?"
Leaf Green, representing the Kanto Region, is the first to inquire. "Excuse me, as the regional Professor here, could you enlighten us about the procedures for new trainers in this region?"
Chloe acknowledges Leaf's question with a nod, her expression thoughtful yet approachable. "Of course, I'd be happy to explain. To obtain the status of a certified trainer in the Sevestar Region, one must successfully pass our rigorous trainer's test, akin to those in other regions. However, our passing threshold is set higher, requiring a score of 80 or above. This stringent criterion is essential due to the elevated challenges our region presents compared to others."
Intrigued, Selene interjects, her curiosity evident in her voice. "What makes this region so perilous?" Chloe's tone turns somber as she recounts recent events, her words carrying the weight of past struggles. "A year ago, we faced a grave threat from an infamous group known as Team Rainbow. Their malicious activities disrupted our peace until our Champion and esteemed leaders intervened, resulting in their apprehension by the International Police or demise due to their heinous deeds."
The group reacts with a mix of surprise and confusion, prompting a shift in the conversation. Ash, noticing the need to refocus, gently interjects, "Chloe, let's steer back to our main topic for now."
Apologizing for the tangent, Chloe redirects the discussion. "My apologies for veering off track. Let's talk about something more relevant. In the Sevestar Region, our Starter Pokémon of choice is none other than Eevee."
Bianca voices her curiosity, "Why specifically Eevee? What about the traditional Grass, Fire, or Water Starters?"
Chloe responds with enthusiasm, eager to share the unique aspect of Pokémon selection in the Sevestar Region. "We opt for Eevee as our Starter Pokémon because of its remarkable potential for evolution into all 18 forms of Eeveelutions. Remarkably, we've uncovered 10 additional Eeveelutions, alongside various other discoveries."
The revelation sparks excitement among the group, their anticipation evident as they envision the myriad possibilities. Chloe continues, "Given our diverse Eeveelution options, trainers here receive a National Dex rather than a regional one, reflecting the expansive scope of our discoveries."
Ash interjects, redirecting attention to their surroundings. "Moving on, this is Professor Chloe's Lab, adjacent to our residence, the castle. Many of you may have wondered about accessing the castle grounds. The answer is no unless authorized by the Satoshi or Mache Families."
Alice elaborates on the castle's purpose, shedding light on their extensive Pokémon collection. "Our castle's expansive backyard accommodates over 600 Pokémon, thanks to Red's and my completion of the National Dex. Our Pokémon fulfill various roles, from foraging for food to providing healing services, ensuring their well-being without overwhelming us."
This revelation stirs contemplation among the traitorous individuals, prompting them to reconsider their affiliations. Ultimately, they opt to depart Otem Town, setting their sights on Route 1 for their next venture.
"Route 1 is reminiscent of other initial paths we've seen in different regions, teeming with a variety of Normal Type Pokémon," Ash explains, gesturing towards the familiar landscape. "This route bifurcates into two distinct directions: west leads to the expansive Plain Plains, while heading north takes us to our intended destination, Silkan City."
Intrigued by the possibilities, Steven inquires further, "What attractions await us in Plain Plains?"
Ash elaborates, painting a vivid picture of the grassy expanse. "Plain Plains is a vast grassland inhabited by Pokémon such as Tauros, Girafarig, and Bouffalant. Additionally, nestled within these plains is the revered Regigigas Temple."
Cynthia's curiosity is piqued, prompting her to question the temple's significance. "Why is there a temple dedicated to Regigigas?"
"Regigigas plays a pivotal role in the island's development," Ash explains, his voice carrying a hint of awe. "Not only does it summon its fellow Regis to enhance the region, but it also creates 12 unique Regis tailored to assist us, one for each elemental type."
The revelation sparks excitement and anticipation among the group, eager to witness these legendary beings firsthand. Their attention is then drawn to a colossal Tauros galloping among its kin, a sight that showcases the region's exceptional offerings.
Ash acknowledges the extraordinary sight, acknowledging his sister Lillie's contributions as the Alola Region Champion and Director Clavell's efforts from Uva Academy. "Thanks to their collaboration, we've introduced the concept of Titan Pokémon. Those who prove their mettle will be bestowed with the prestigious Normalium Z by the Titan Tauros."
Geeta reacts with surprise, commenting on the unique choice of a Tauros as a Titan Pokémon. "A Tauros as a Titan? That's certainly a novel concept."
As the group disperses to explore, Alice interjects with a reminder. "Take some time to acquaint yourselves with this area." Ash and Alice briefly reflect on past events, recalling the turbulent times when Team Rainbow launched their attack, a reminder of the challenges they've overcome and the unity that binds them.
(Flashback)
Alice's horror is palpable as she witnesses the polluted water, prompting her to question the situation. "Why is the water polluted?" she exclaims, her concern mirrored by the leaders who rush to the scene.
Reisa voices her distress, recognizing the potential harm to the Pokémon in the area. "This is terrible... polluted water will make the Pokémon sick," she remarks, her tone reflecting a mix of sorrow and urgency.
Nate, visibly angered by the sight, demands answers. "Who would do such a despicable act, especially in my territory?" His voice carries a potent mix of frustration and determination.
Their questions are soon answered as they spot grunts actively polluting the water. Ash wastes no time confronting them. "Who are you, and what are you doing?" he demands, his voice commanding attention.
The grunts react with alarm at the presence of the Champion and the leaders, hurriedly communicating with someone named Admin Ruby. Their actions raise suspicion and tension among the group.
Suddenly, a defiant figure steps forward, introducing herself as Ruby. "So what if we're contaminating the water?" she retorts boldly, revealing her affiliation as one of the admins of Team Rainbow.
Gladion expresses disbelief at encountering an evil organization in a newly established region. "We didn't expect to encounter an evil organization here," he remarks with a hint of resignation.
Ruby's confident demeanor is soon reinforced as two more individuals appear, each clad in distinct colors. One in orange attire and the other in purple, signaling their allegiance to Team Rainbow. Their unexpected appearance adds a layer of complexity to the confrontation, hinting at greater challenges ahead.
"Amethyst, Ambrose, prepare yourselves. We have unwelcome guests," Ruby commands, her tone cool and composed as she signals her teammates. Without hesitation, they release their Pokémon into battle—Ruby with Clefable, Ambrose with Alolan Raichu, and Amethyst with Nidoking.
Ambrose asserts their intentions, addressing the group with confidence. "Our leader is preoccupied in the temple, and you won't be allowed to disrupt him," he declares, his stance unwavering.
Ash, brimming with determination, responds with a challenge. "You can certainly try, but defeating us won't be so easy."
As the Team Rainbow grunts joins the fray with their Pokémon, the leaders prepare to counter. Trenor engages Ambrose, seizing the tactical advantage. "You've made a critical error by pitting a Raichu against a Ground Type Trainer. Krookodile, unleash Earthquake!" he commands, leveraging his Pokémon's strengths.
Ambrose, undeterred, surprises Trenor with a strategic move. "Not so fast, Raichu! Take to the water and utilize Surf!" Trenor is caught off guard by the unexpected maneuver, realizing too late that Raichu is undeterred by the polluted water, while Krookodile struggles against the onslaught.
Meanwhile, David confronts Ruby, who recognizes him from his lineage. "Ah, I remember you. You're Diantha's son," Ruby remarks, her tone tinged with recognition.
David responds defiantly, drawing upon his training from his renowned parent. "And what if I am? You should know that my skills are inherited from her. Klinklang, deploy Mirror Shot!" he commands, showcasing his Pokémon's precision.
Ruby counters with confidence, directing Clefable to unleash a dynamic attack. "Impressive, but Clefable, use Metronome!" Clefable taps into its unpredictable move, unleashing a powerful Flamethrower that overwhelms Klinklang, much to David's chagrin. "You're just lucky..."
Ruby taunts, emphasizing her prowess. "Luck has nothing to do with it. I am a master of Metronome, able to dictate the outcome of its attacks," she declares, highlighting her strategic prowess in battle.
David gasps in disbelief as Ruby continues to defy expectations, showcasing Clefable's versatility once again by executing a Close Combat with Metronome. "This is insane! That shouldn't be possible!" he exclaims, astonished by Ruby's strategic acumen.
Across the battlefield, Amethyst maintains her calm demeanor as she faces off against Reisa and her Milotic. "I won't forgive those who harm the water! You'll pay for your actions," Reisa declares, her determination evident.
Amethyst remains unfazed, commanding Nidoking to strike with Thunder Punch. "Let's see what you're made of. Milotic, Aqua Tail, quick!" Reisa reacts swiftly, but to her surprise, Nidoking evades the attack and lands a solid blow on Milotic. Thanks to Safeguard, however, Milotic avoids paralysis.
Reisa acknowledges Amethyst's strength, acknowledging her superiority over the other grunts. "You're quite formidable," she concedes, impressed by Amethyst's prowess.
Meanwhile, Ash and Alice hasten their steps towards the temple, where they encounter the leader, a man clad in black attire. "We've been expecting visitors. It appears the young Champion and his Elite Four have arrived to defend their fledgling region," the man remarks with a hint of arrogance.
Unfazed by his demeanor, Ash confronts him directly. "What's your purpose in intruding upon our territory and polluting the water? And what brings you inside the temple?" he demands, his tone assertive.
The man reveals his motives without hesitation. "Our objective is to acquire the Legend Plate. Although we've found a plate here, it's not the one we seek," he explains, tossing the plate towards Ash.
Alice connects the dots, realizing their nefarious scheme. "That's the Blank Plate, the Normal Type Plate of Arceus hidden within the Regigigas' Temple. You polluted the water to lure Pokémon away while you search for it, didn't you?" she accuses, her voice sharp with indignation.
The man remains unfazed by the accusation. "What if we did? We have no reason to linger here," he retorts, summoning his Seviper into battle. "Seviper, Smokescreen!" he commands, enveloping the area in a thick veil of smoke.
As the smoke clears, Ash and Alice realize the man has vanished without a trace. Simultaneously, Minami rushes in with urgent news. "Brother! Alice! The grunts have fled in their helicopter!"
Anger flares within Ash as he processes the situation. "They're getting away?" he exclaims, frustration evident in his voice. Suddenly, the ground begins to tremble as Regigigas awakens, prompting disbelief from Ash. "You've got to be kidding me..."
As Regigigas unleashes a Hyper Beam, Ash swiftly takes action. "Regigigas, I choose you!" he declares, summoning his own Regigigas into the fray. With quick thinking, Ash places the Blank Plate back where it belongs, soothing the rampaging Regigigas, which gradually calms down and returns to slumber.
Emerging from the temple, the group finds Reisa summoning Suicune to purify the contaminated water, while Nate tends to the sick Pokémon with his Audino and Blissey.
David expresses regret over Team Rainbow's escape. "We couldn't stop them," he admits.
Ash reassures them, his resolve firm. "We must remain vigilant. Team Rainbow's target is the Legend Plate of Arceus. We cannot allow them to discover its location," he asserts, garnering agreement from the other leaders.
Max reflects on the recurring theme of evil teams. "From Team Magma and Aqua to Galactic, Plasma, and beyond, even newly created regions face the threat of an evil team," he remarks, a note of concern in his voice.
Ash, feeling the weight of the situation, decides to reach out to Arceus for guidance, knowing that their battle against Team Rainbow is far from over.
(Flashback Ends)
"I'm relieved that the Blank Plate is safe," Alice remarks, her gaze lingering on the sacred artifact within the Regigigas' temple.
Ash nods in agreement, his expression serious. "Indeed. We must ensure its secrecy. Let's return to the others. They mustn't learn about the Blank Plate," he says, emphasizing the importance of keeping the plate hidden from prying eyes.
And here is a new chapter, in the Darker Version, I also introduced the evil team for Sevestar Region: Team Rainbow. I decide against Team Alpha because Team Alpha is Ash's own team and is not evil. And there is also more exploring in the region because why not? I hope you like this chapter.
