The legend of our hero Son Goku and the many allies and friends, alongside the many enemies that they have made has ended. His story is one retold through the descendants of his friends, as well as himself, a story of epic sagas and power, a myth that will never be forgotten. But above all, his story has now given way to a new generation.
200 years after the events of Dragon Ball Super
Planet Yardrat
The half moon on Planet Yardrat shone brightly, it's soft glow coming down in rays as Sageon scratched the scruff of his beard
The lean, medium built Saiyan seemed to be sweating slightly. The cold drips of perspiration slid down slowly but steadily down the side of his face, as the Saiyan sat down on a rock outside of his tent.
Guilt began to eat away at him from the inside, chewing away at him as the Saiyan stood up, and began pacing back and forth
Meanwhile, he could hear the shouts and occasional screams of pain of Citric from inside the tent he had set up
"Damn it all, damn it all!? Why did I let her come in the first place!?" Sageon said as he hit his forehead with his knuckle
About a day ago, he, his wife Citric, and a third Saiyan, Sageon's buddy, Eschalot, had arrived on this planet.
They were here on diplomatic business with the planet residents, Yardrats.
Sageon knew that Citric wasn't feeling well. But she begged, threatened, and fought to go. Her pride wouldn't let her stay
And like a fool, Sageon had let her come
Now here they were, stuck on this foreign planet and Citric was giving birth, AT THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME!!
However, that isn't what made Sageon so nervous. What made him nervous was the fact that he was going to be a father.
HOW WAS HE SUPPOSED TO RAISE A KID!?
No, wait. Calm down, calm down, don't panic. It's just a kid. Yeah, Sageon had been able to beat thing's a whole ton stronger than a kid. He can take this
Sageon felt himself jump from the pained cry coming from the tent, and he gritted his teeth as he said, "Goddamn it, what's taking those damned Yardrats so long!?"
"Cool it, Sagey," a voice said. Eschalot was leaning against a stack of crates that they had set up, "These Yardrats know what they are doing. Just try and think about what'll come out of this. A new kid, a family, hell, another Saiyan to add to our young race."
Sageon sighed, and he couldn't help but scratch the scruff of his beard as he said, "Yeah, you've got a point there. But it's just that I'm so worried."
"Heh, can't argue with you there," Eschalot said, his finger brushing his small goatee as he stood up, "I know how you feel. You feel as if you might not be a good parent, or if your child will even like you at all. You start to worry about if youve prepared enough for him.
Eschalot looked over at Sageon, his friendly yet tough gaze meeting Sageons eyes as he said, Sagey, Ive known you for a long time. And if anyone is gonna be good at raising a kid, it's definitely gonna be you.
Sageon felt himself loosen up, his tense muscles having relaxed, Eschalots words having calmed him down a bit.
Sageon sighed, sitting down on a crate next to him as he said, Thanks Eschalot. I needed that.
What? Didn't think I didn't know that? Eschalot said with a small smug smile
Sageon chuckled, before holding up a finger and saying, You know, I still owe you an ass-kicking, dont I?
Eschalot smiled, before suddenly he stopped leaning on the crates behind him and stood up, smiling as he dusted off his shoulder, saying, Im right here.
However, before either could move another muscle, a scream of pain sliced through the air, causing them both to jump in alarm, but soon that scream was followed by a loud gasp, and then the cries of a child
Sageon's heart stopped for a moment. He found himself unable to move, unable to breathe, unable to do anything in that moment except ask himself, "Does..that mean…. I'm…..a dad?"
The flap to the tent was pulled back, a pink whiskered Yardrat stepping out as he breathed a sigh of relief, cleaning his hands with a rag as he walked to Sageon
The Yardrat looked clean at the Saiyan in the eyes, and said, "Sir. Your child. It's a healthy and strong baby boy."
"It's….a boy?" Sageon said almost wistfully as he felt himself begin to slowly sink down, his knees hitting the ground as he was so overwhelmed by relief, happiness, and so many more emotions that he couldn't describe, that he felt himself begin to cry
He felt the warm drops of tears begin to slowly spill from his eyelids, and he felt himself well up from the inside
He felt a hand slap him on the back, and Eschalot was crouching next to him, saying, "Hey, it's a son. You've got a son, Sageon. You're a lucky son of a bitch."
"Wait, what about-" Sageon began to say when the Yardrat interrupted him, "Citric is fine. She's waiting for you."
Sageon didn't wait for the Yardrat to open the flap to the entrance of the tent, as he rushed in immediately
What he saw melted his heart.
A woman wrapped in white blankets and long black haired laid in the cot, cradling a snoozing small child.
Citric looked up at Sageon, her red irises full of warmth and happiness as she smiled, and said, "Look at him. He's so beautiful, he looks just like you."
Sageon was at a loss for words, but his body moved by itself as he walked forward, and crouched down next to his wife and child
With a tender touch, Sageon reached with a finger towards the child's face, the small sleeping face of this little child
The little baby's tail seemed to have a mind of its own as it reached forward, and gently curled around Sageon's finger
And at that moment, Sageon couldn't keep himself from crying again
"What shall we call him darling?" Citric asked, looking up at Sageon as her red irises were full of curiosity and wonder
"Ryun. We shall call him Ryun," Sageon said, as Citric giggled, saying, "Aw, I thought you would've wanted to call him a name that suited YOUR side of the family."
"Ryun was what you wanted to name him if he was a boy," Sageon said, "And besides, I'm not the one who went through the pain of bearing him."
"The pain was worth it," she had replied, her hand reaching out and caressing the bearded face of Sageon's cheek, and he held up his hand to caress hers as he said, "I love you."
Seventeen years later…
Ryun panted, his upper body hunched forward as he leaned forward, his tired red irises looking all around him
No, he wasn't going to get caught off guard this time. Not again.
Ryun jolted up to his feet, his hands instinctively snapping up in front of him as he sensed the energy signature, an energy that was equivalent to his own. He held his palms open, and his right arm closer to his body
Ryun stood there, the breeze blowing slightly and rushing by his ears as he sniffed while listening at the same time in a attempt to try and catch a trace of something, anything to help him determine his enemies position
However, he didn't have to wait long when he felt the slight rush of wind, and almost out of instinct Ryun suddenly shot his left elbow backwards behind him, his joint colliding with the bottom of the palm that had tried to shoot forward and chop the back of his neck
A creature with a giant green, oval-shaped head, about three inches taller than Ryun, was forced to jump back, yelping, "Hey! That hurt!"
"No time to talk!" Ryun said, having already jumped forward and charging towards the creature
"WHOA WHOA WAIT!!!" the creature said while waving his hands in front of him, but it was too late as Ryun was already in the air in front of him
Ryun lifted his right leg up, his body pivoting as his right leg swung out in front of him, his foreleg smashing into the creatures face, sending him off flying to the side and his head hitting a rock with a thunk
The creature fell down onto their bottom, and Ryun quickly tried to follow up this assault by charging forward, white energy and light enveloping him as he shot forward, his fist held up behind him
"HA! You're mine!!" Ryun shouted as he brought his fist flying forward, aiming to smash the Yardrat straight through the rock behind him
However, at the last moment, Ryun felt a hand suddenly catch his fist, with flawless precision
Ryun had felt his body stop in it's tracks
He had blinked when he threw that punch. One moment, he had him open and ready to finish his objective, the next another Yardrat stood in front of him, this one pink and with whiskers, while much skinnier then the green one
The Yardrat looked at Ryun, and almost immediately Ryun's eyes widened as he said, "Aw cra-"
Before he could finish the sentence, the back of a hand slapped him so hard that he felt his body spin around, his eyes seeing stars as he fell onto the ground, burning pain shooting down his spine
"YOWCH!!!!" Ryun shouted as he sat up, his hand holding the side of his face as he yelled, "Oi!! Ya didn't have to hit me so hard Sensei!!"
"I do when you start to become to rough," the pink Yardrat said, "You need to learn how to control that little battle hunger of yours."
The green Yardrat that Ryun was about to pound right through a rock not a moment ago gave a breath of relief, "Man, for a second I thought I was toast. You really overdo it, even for a sparring session, don't ya Ryun?"
Ryun gave an embarrassed apologetic smile as he shrugged, "Ehe….sorry."
The pink Yardrat sighed, his tone one of someone who hasn't properly rested for a while as he said, Ryun. Being a Saiyan, I can see why you enjoy fighting, but you can't go overboard like that. You could have ended up accidentally hurting Shinji too much.
The green yardrat that Ryun had been fighting with gave a ginger wave of his hand, Uhhh, Im fine. Dont worry about me, Sensei Pybic.
Pybic ignored Shinjis comment, and said, Not to mention, Ryun, your form with that first kick left you unbalanced. You still need to work on your technique."
"Uhh, right," Ryun said, rubbing the back of his head as he dusted himself off, and Pybic sighed, and said, "Anyway, today's training will be cut off a bit short. The council is having a meeting, and I am a mandatory participant."
"Of course Sensei Pybic," Shinji said as the green Yardrat pressed one of his knuckles into his other open palm, and bowed slightly in a sign of respect, and Ryun followed Shinji's act as Shinji added, "We'll take the time to rest for the next training session."
"And rest you will," the pink yardrat said as he turned to walk away, but stopped himself as he turned around, "Also Ryun, remember, today is a full moon night. You are not allowed to come out of the house tonight."
"Wait, what!!?" Ryun panicked, "That's tonight!!? But what about the Solstice Festival!? Isn't that tonight as well!!?"
"Yes, it is," Pybic said, and almost instantly Ryun's face drooped, his expression having become saddened.
The Solstice Festival was a event that happened every year, and it was a festival where everyone gathered together, ate, had fun, hell, there was even sparring matches that were commenced publicly
Ryun, however, has never gone. For some reason, he was never allowed to go. Because whenever the Solstice Festival took place, a full moon always appeared, and for whatever reason, Ryun was never allowed to go out on a full moon night
Pybic sighed, having seen Ryun's sudden saddened expression as he said, "Ryun, rules are rules. You know I have no choice. You aren't allowed to go out tonight."
"I…..I understand," Ryun said, when Pybic suddenly turned to Shinji, and abruptly said, "Shinji, will you mind checking on Ryun and make sure he stays at home before you go to the festival tonight?"
"EH!?"
"You heard me. I want you to check in on Ryun before you go to the festival," Pybic repeated
Shinji sputtered as he began to explain, "W-wait, Sensei! My day's already packed up with the things I have to get done before the festival, I don't th-"
"Thank you for your cooperation," Pybic said as he held two fingers to his hand, and said, "I'll see you both later on."
"Huh!! Hey, wait a second!!" Shinji tried to stop Pybic, but the pink Yardrat already vanished in a instant
Shinji sighed, and scratched his chin as he wondered, "Man, I really need to practice Instant Transmission more."
"Well, guess I've got no choice. Hey, Ryun, do ya happen to-" Shinji began to say, but when he saw Ryun's face, he immediately cut himself off. Ryun's face almost looked like a puppy that had gone through hell
Shinji blinked, before asking, "Hey, buddy, you alright? You look like someone stole one of your sweet potatoes."
"Yeah, I'm alright. It's nothing."
Suddenly, Shinji was right next to him, the green yardrat putting his arm around Ryun's shoulder in a friendly manner, and said, "Hey, don't worry about the Festival. You might be able to go next year. I'll fetch some sweet potatoes to help keep you busy tonight."
Ryun sighed, before a black furred tail unraveled from Ryun's waist, and swayed lightly behind him as Ryun gave a small smile, and said, "Yeah, that'll be alright."
Pybic appeared on a wooden circular platform, about 40 yards long in diameter, and with wooden beams at its edges that held up a roof.
The council never hide anything from its people, so it was a open platform with now walls
At the center of this platform was a hollow wooden circle that acted at a table, with the hollow center being a stand for witnesses and such, wooden throne-like chairs on the outside of the hollowed circular table for the Council Members to sit
There were 12 Council members in all, who were eac referred to as Keepers. The Keepers were each given a part of their home planet to take care of, and to make sure that their assigned part of the planet was fed, happy, and protected.
Pybic was one of these Keepers.
Right now, there were only two other council members that had arrived. The early birds, so to say.
Pybic sighed as he went to take his seat. He wasn't exactly one to partake in unnecessary chatter. And besides, both of the two that had arrived were part of the group that wasn't so keen on Pybic. Why they weren't on good terms with him was simply because he had taken in a creature that they thought was dangerous, or in simple terms Ryun.
The boy had arrived a little more then a decade and a half ago, and Ryun's parents alongside a third Saiyan had arrived
Apparently they were representatives for the regrowing Saiyan race, and we're here for diplomatic relations
But when the council had refused to offer any immediate aid, the father of the boy had become angry
The three Saiyans however were hastily called back
However, the father, whose name was Sageon, had met with Pybic in secret
Pybic was one of the people there that had helped deliver the baby when the mother had unexpectedly met her due date. And her two companions didn't exactly look like proper caregivers
The Saiyan had explained that something had happened on their home planet, and they needed to go back. But that was something that could've been dangerous, even more dangerous if they returned with a newborn baby
Pybic, of course, had decided to take care of the child.
None of the three ever returned
And so, Pybic raised and trained him as best as he could
However, when the Saiyan had left, he had made sure to tell Pybic that Ryun must never look at a full moon. Pybic didn't know why, but Sageon's expression was enough to convince him
Suddenly, Pybic's thoughts were interrupted when a voice said, "Hello, fellow council members. The others are indisposed at the moment so we'll commence more early
Pybic looked up, as the wooden council platform had become a bit more crowded as now only a couple members were missing
Ever since the elder Pybara's death, the Yardrats had decided to make a council to help keep them set
But, in Pybic's eyes, to proceed with this meeting without the last members was like hiding information from the world. He believed that everyone needed to be there. But, sadly, he was outnumbered in that opinion
The Yardrat who had spoken earlier sat down, the rest of them having followed in his steps and taking their seats
The Yardrat who had spoken up earlier, Todo, cleared his throat, and said, "So, before we get to the important matters, we must, of course, check Pybic's report of his young student."
Pybic never liked being the center of attention. He even wonders sometimes why he took the role of a Keeper.
So he didn't exactly do much as the entire table turned their heads towards him, looking straight at him
Pybic cleared his throat, giving a small cough as he said, "Well, it's the same as always. Ryun's growth rate far exceeds anything I've ever seen. He is fast to learn and adapt, and even if he may not look like it, he considers fighting only a last resort option. But recently he has started to become a bit more restless."
"He always is around this time of year," another Keeper said, a small blue Yardrat named Kinku, "I would be if I wasn't allowed out during the Solstice Festival. The boy is going to snap one of these days. But besides, can't we simply let Ryun out just once? To at least quench that restlessness?"
However, a fourth Keeper answered before Pybic, a pink whiskered Yardrat, saying with a Stern voice, "No, we were told not to let him out on a Full Moon's night for a reason. Why we can't is unknown but if it's something bad then we can't risk it."
Soon, the first calm words began to become more heated. Questions of whether Ryun should be let out tonight or not were thrown about
Pybic sighed, putting his head in his right hand as he remembered why he hated politics
"Everyone!! Calm down, we won't get anywhere with this!!" Todo shouted, waving his arms so as to gain his fellow council members attention, "We can't proceed without proper order!!"
This managed to catch their attention and quiet them down, and Todo sighed, and said, "Now, Council, I believe it's time that we make a decision. One we've had postponed for a long time."
"What?" Pybic said, standing up as he asked, "Keeper Todo, just exactly what are you talking about?"
"I'm saying if we should allow him to be able to join our protecting ranks," Todo said, "He has obviously grown at a rate so great that sooner or later he will become greater than even our strongest fighters. But even more, according to your reports, Pybic, the boy is a strategist as well."
"Yes, he is," Pybic admitted, "But he's still just a child! Are we really going to start asking whether we should send him to our elite ranks where he will be put in danger!?"
"Yes!" Todo said, his sudden burst catching the council off guard, "Yes, I'm saying that! Look at Namek, at Planet Vegeta!! Both of them were recovering planets, having grown and become stronger as they regrouped and started anew!! Only for them to be wiped out by those demons!! That child just may be our only best defense!"
"Keeper Todo," another council member said, "I'm rather surprised at this sudden proposition. You usually are reserved about these kinds of things."
The speaker, a small green yardrat, sat on his chair, adding on, "To think that you would risk a child's life is rather a bad look."
"Hmph, that doesn't matter," Todo replied, "All that matters is that our planet stays safe. My reputation is the last of my worries. Besides, I recall that even though the Saiyan prefers fighting only as a last resort, he still enjoys sparring. Wouldn't that mean that he would get all the sparring he wants?"
"Uh, I don't think that is how it works," Pybic said, "I've taught him well, and even showed him my Drive Techniques on occasion, but he still is too green to be sent to battle."
Todo sighed, when another council member suddenly spoke up, "Fellow council members, this conversation is starting to become too heated, I think what we all need to do is perhaps talk about this later, and maybe take a little break."
The council had all nodded and murmured in agreement
Pybic sighed. It always ended like this. The conversation would become too heated whenever they touched this subject that they simply put it off till later. But this one was rather different. Todo had just suggested that Ryun be put on the front lines of their defense in case an invasion were to happen. Just what kind of person would ever think of putting the responsibility of a world on a child's shoulders!?
Pybic sighed, before standing up from his chair and walking out of the wooden platform. He really needed to stop getting into politics
Flow. Grace. Light
Flow. Grace. Light
Not tense, but relaxed. Strong but not strict, unbreakable but easily bendable.
Ryun's arm slowly but gracefully brought his arm into a arc above his head, his left foot sliding back at the same time as his right arm was held in front of him, his palm open as his body was slightly leaned forward
He then slowly slid his left foot back forward again, the tip of his toes scraping against the soft grass, his left palm slowly outstretched as he brought it around to his front
His left knee soon became held up in the air in front of him, his body balanced and supported on only one foot, as both of his palms were held open in front of him.
Before with a bored sigh, Ryun simply stopped, and stood up and stretched his back and limbs. Practicing kata was a good pastime, but doing it a lot just made it bland
Ryun looked at the orange sun which had begun to slowly disappear over the horizon. In about an hour it would be gone, and Ryun would have to go inside so as to be sheltered from the full moon.
He wondered what a full moon looked like. He bet it was bright, like the half moons that he had seen, and even when it was night, kept things lit up but dark at the same time
Ryun had quickly gone back inside a wooden hut-like home that belonged to Masters and his.
As he closed the door behind him, his black furred tail unraveled from around his waist, before reaching to his side from behind and wrapping around a cup of water, and brought it up to Ryun's hand
He sipped from the cup, the cold sensation traveling through him as it quenched his thirst
He sat down, leaning back against a rustic chair that Pybic had made for him. He was told last year that he might be able to go to the Solstice and everything. But here he was again, unable to go. He had been told that same thing the year before that. And before that. And before that.
Ryun turned his head, looking at the door to the hut.
The Solstice had started an hour ago, but it usually went on till past midnight. Ryun knew that because that was whenever Sensei Pybic returned using Instant Transmission.
Ryun's room was actually in an underground refurbished room underneath the hut, so that way Ryun wouldn't be able to look out any windows. Otherwise Ryun would have already given in to the temptation to look out a window and go out at night during a Full Moon Night.
However, soon, the Saiyan began to feel the idea well up in his head. It wasn't something that he had intentionally planned or premeditated, nor was it something that he ever thought of before. But what if he went to the Solstice? Even if for just a half hour? Yeah, he should be back before the moon comes out, shouldn't he?
Ryun immediately pushed the thought aside. Master Pybic told him that he would stay here and that would be final.
But……what Master Pybic didn't know wouldn't hurt him, right?
Ryun decided that was reasoning enough
Shinji sighed as he landed in front of the hut. The yardrat didn't exactly agree to this. But when sensei specifically told him to, despite his protests, he had to obey. Besides, he still needed to give Ryun some baked sweet potatoes.
Shinji held a small wooden tray that had big leaves covered over it so as to keep the baked sweet potatoes warm, and Shinji didn't even try knocking as the Yardrat walked in through the door
Shinji walked across the threshold of the hut, before coming to the door that would open up to the stairs that went down to Ryun's room
"Hehe, these'll definitely keep Ryun busy for tonight. Or I hope anyw-"
It was then that Shinji finally noticed. He couldn't feel Ryun's energy signature
Shinji's eyes widened in alarm as the yardrat suddenly kicked down the door, and rushed down the stairs, before bursting into the room. No one was there
Ryun flew through the night sky air, the crisp wind rushing past his face
For once, Ryun had felt…free. Almost as if a shackle around him had fallen off.
The Saiyan smiled to himself. He would be back before the moon would come out.
Or at least that's what the Saiyan thought.
Ryun had suddenly realized that Shinji was coming up to check on him, and the young Saiyan abruptly stopped in the air, turning around to fly back.
But a bright white object in the sky caught his attention.
Ryun stopped in the air, his eyes looking up as a bright, white circular object in the sky.
The Saiyan stood there in awe. He couldn't stop looking at the object in front of him. It was so big and bright, so beautiful. It wasn't anything he had ever seen before.
And then it hit him.
Ryun felt the pain suddenly hit his stomach like a punch, and Ryun's hands instinctively reached down as he bent over, his breathing becoming ragged
Suddenly, it felt as if his throat was on fire, and every breath that Ryun fought for burned his throat.
And the pain.
It was everywhere
Everything felt like his bones were starting to grow inside him, as if they were starting to become too big.
Ryun tried to speak, but his voice wouldn't comply. It was almost as if he didn't have a voice
The Saiyan gave a guttural cry. A cry for help. But it was so quiet that even someone nearby wouldn't hear him
However, soon, that cry turned into a scream of pain as the sound of bones cracking and growing, rearranging and reforming, the sensation of his skin stretching and growing, of fur sprouting from him and his jaw extending as his teeth turned into fangs, his red irises widening in panic.
He could feel himself slipping. As if something was draining his very consciousness
At this point, Ryun couldn't say anything willingly anymore. Everytime he tried to scream, he couldn't. Every time he tried to give out a cry for help, he couldn't.
His vision started to blur, he could barely see anything anymore.
And then, all he could see was black
The cup of tea in front of Pybic sat there untouched
Pybic couldn't relax. Not now.
The people around him were all merry, as one would expect at the Solstice Festival.
But the events at the meeting kept prodding at him, and he couldn't stop thinking about it. Keeper Todo wasn't someone who would ever approve sending a child to an elite fighting unit. So why would he now? Was he really that scared of the fact that two recovering Race's were wiped out and scattered?
For reasons unknown to Pybic, the Yardrat couldn't help but feel as if something was wrong, as if something was amiss.
Suddenly, the sound of a scuffle and insults caught Pybic's attention
Pybic stood up, looking over the heads and shoulders of other partygoers, and spotted Shinji rushing towards him, while unceremoniously bumping into more then a few passerby's
"Master!!!" Shinji shouted, his voice full of desperation and panic, "Master!! It's Ryun!!"
Immediately, Pybic appeared right next to Shinji, asking, "Shinji, what's wrong?"
Shinji quickly turned around, his face looking as if he had trained ten times more intensely then ever, and he panted as he said, "Ryun-he's-gone."
"What!?"
Pybic felt himself stand there in shock. Ryun was…gone.
But tonight was a Full Moon Night. And if he was gone….
However, Pybic's thought were quickly interrupted as a roar cut right through the night
Pybic felt his blood grow cold. No, this couldn't be happening.
Pybic could only think about what happened that Ryun ended up out, but above all, what the Council of Keepers would do after this.
Another roar cut through the night, but this time much more closer.
Suddenly, a single scream cut through the air, and Pybic alongside every partygoer had turned around, only to see something that terrified even Pybic
A giant monster, resembling a ape, stood in front of the crowd, each step that it took causing the ground to rumble, it's glowing red eyes speaking of nothing but hate and anger, of pain and revenge.
Pybic could only think of one thing
Was this really Ryun?
Seventeen Years ago
Sageon held Citric in his arms, the woman having buried her face in his chest as she cried. Eschalot was busy getting their transport ready and making sure that they were all ready.
The three had been called back, but the reason why shocked them all.
The planet that their recovering Saiyan race was on had been discovered. And the Surizon Force wasn't something that the Saiyan race was ready to combat yet
Pybic held the sleeping Ryun in his arms, the pink Yardrat sighing as he said, "Sageon. Is there any requests for Ryun that I must be given."
"Yeah," Sageon said, "Just make sure he doesn't ever look at a Full Moon. For us Saiyan's whenever that happens, nothing good comes out of it. But in case it ever does, you'll have to cut off his tail."
"I…understand," Pybic replied
Citric sobbed, before turning her head slightly as her tear-stained eyes looked at Pybic, and in a pleading voice, she said, "Keeper Pybic. Please, take care of my son. Please, don't let anything happen to him. Please, I'm begging you."
"It's alright Citric, it'll all be alright. He'll be fine. We'll see him again, I promise," Sageon reassured her, his hand reaching over and stroking the back of her head, his fingers combing her hair softly
Pybic was silent for a moment, before he answered, "I will do everything I can to make sure that your boy will be taken care of, that he will be safe. You have my word."
Citric was still sobbing, so Sageon answered for her, "Thank you. We can't at all express how grateful we are. There must be something we can do in return."
"You do not need to express it. Nor must you reward me. I will take care of the child."
After saying their farewells, the two Saiyan's began to leave.
And Sageon, despite trying to put up a strong front for the sake of his wife, finally felt his fortifications weaken as tears began to escape from his eyes
