"Rob?" Michelle called as she stood up from her chair in the hospital waiting room, Rob walking through the main doors of the hospital, "Where've you been? You haven't answered any of my calls."
"Tracy's been arrested," Rob explained as Michelle put her hands to her mouth.
"What," Michelle squinted her eyes with confusion.
"Sit down, I'll explain from the beginning," Rob sighed directing Michelle, "In fact, we'll go sit with Car, I'll explain to you both."
"No we can't, that's why I'm sat out here," Michelle answered, "The nurses came to do a check so I went to go and get us a drink, when I came back there was another officer outside who said we can't go and see her anymore cause somethings happened. Apparently Carla's fine but they won't tell me what's happened."
"Right okay," Rob nodded, "So what happened is when I left I went to go and meet Tracy in the town, I know I said to the police I didn't know where she was but I needed time to think. I sat for a bit and I thought about what was said, what had happened previous and I don't know the more I thought about what Tina was accusing her of the more it almost clicked … like it was right? I don't know where it came from, but when I got to the town I was walking to the coffee shop to meet Tracy, I rang the police, told them where she was. When I went and met up with her we talked for a bit, I didn't tell her obviously about what Tina said, but I started asking questions. We went back and forth for a bit but it the end I just asked her, I didn't what else to do..."
"Right okay," Michelle nodded slowly, "What did she say?"
"She admitted it," Rob breathed a small tear appearing in her eye, "She actually did it … she planted the bracelet in Carla's, made it out like she didn't see Carla. She did it all."
"Oh Rob," Michelle hugged him sympathetically as he let out a long breath.
"What's happened with the police," Michelle asked after she released him from the hug a few minutes later.
"I recorded the conversation, so she couldn't try and get out of it. I mean she confessed it all to me Chelle, she only did it cause I promised her I wouldn't tell. She actually thought I would cover up an attempted murder of a young girl for her … I feel like all the love I had for her just disappeared in front of me."
"Rob, you've done so well. You might of actually saved Carla from this nightmare," Michelle smiled slightly.
"Yeah, hopefully," Rob sighed with a slight smile, "Listen the police have got my phone, so you won't be able to call me but I'm gonna go for a walk, get a drink or something. I'll pop by Carla's room see if they'll let us in."
"Alright," Michelle smiled, "Erm is it okay if I borrow your car, its getting late so I'm gonna go pick the girls up from the town, drop them off at the Rovers. I'll come back afterwards."
"Yeah no bother," Rob answered, "Are you gonna tell Lia?"
"I don't know, what do you think?" Michelle asked.
"I was gonna say I think we should leave it till its been properly confirmed and that," Rob explained as Michelle nodded in agreement
"Yeah I agree, I just don't know how I'm gonna keep from her if its al around the square," Michelle sighed as Rob sighed as well, "I'll have to just see how it goes."
"Good luck," Rob smiled as Michelle did the same and left the hospital.
It was about 30 minutes later when Michelle pulled up into the town's car park to reveal Lia and Amy stood waiting for her. The two girls jumped in the car Lia in the front, Amy in the back.
"You okay girls," Michelle grinned turning round to face them, "Did you enjoy your first girls shopping trip Ames."
"Yeah it was well fun and Lia and Maisie told me about all the gossip in their year and then we got milkshakes," Amy smiled as Michelle rolled her eyes.
"Your such gossips," Michelle tutted.
"So are you and granny Liz though," Amy retorted as Michelle scoffed.
"Oi madam," Michelle grinned as she tapped Lia's leg.
"What about you missus, you haven't said much," Michelle turned to Lia.
"Yeah it were good, weren't it Ames," Lia gave her a short smile, "I'm getting a migraine though, my heads killing."
"Awe babe, have you had any painkillers," Michelle sympathised.
"Yeah I had some about an hour ago," Lia replied.
"Why don't you have a sleep when we get in?" Michelle replied as Lia nodded.
"Yeah I might do, I'm shattered anyway," Lia smiled slightly.
"Come on then," Michelle smiled at the girls before starting the car.
"How's Maisie getting home?" Michelle asked.
"She's already been picked up by her dad about ten minutes ago," Amy informed her as Michelle nodded and smiled.
"Good."
The roads were full of tea time traffic so by the time the got back to Weatherfield everyone was very much sick of the car and felt like they'd been in there for hours. Michelle parked the car and opened the door for Amy to jump out and directed the girls to the back entrance of the Rovers.
"Why we going in the back way?" Lia asked.
"Oh erm Liz text she said they can't get the door working out the front, its jammed or something so everyone is having to come in this way," Michelle lied as Lia nodded her head accepting what she'd been told.
"Right are you gonna go to bed darling if your not feeling great," Michelle suggested as Lia nodded.
"Yeah I'm shattered," Lia gave Michelle a short smile as they walked in.
"Alright, sleep well," Michelle smiled as Lia gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Thanks Chelle, love you," Lia called as she walked up the stairs.
"Right Ames what are you doing?" Michelle asked.
"I'm gonna go try on my clothes and give dad a fashion show," Amy grinned as Michelle smiled back.
"Alright sweetheart, I'll tell him to be ready," Michelle answered with a smile as Amy ran up the stairs.
"Michelle?" Steve called out coming out from the front with Liz in toe, "What's happened? Do you know anything?"
"What do you know?" Michelle asked to save her repeating herself.
"Tina's awake, but apparently" Steve answered before looking up the stairs and beginning to whisper, "Tracy's been arrested."
"Yeah she has," Michelle confirmed as Steve and Liz looked between each other, "So basically Tina woke up and said that it was Tracy so the police came to Rob to Rob to ask where she was and he told them he didn't know-"
"He lied didn't he," Liz cut in and Michelle rolled her eyes.
"Yeah apparently he said he needed time to think, which I guess is understandable, but he went to meet up with her and phoned the police to meet him there beforehand. He said she confessed everything to him and he got it on record," Michelle explained as Liz's eyes popped open.
"Oh my god," Liz breathed as Michelle nodded.
"Yeah I know! Anyway how did you find out about Tracy?" Michelle asked.
"Well Ken was in here with Dierdre and Peter when he got the phone call and Sean heard him tell Dierdre, then they left," Steve explained.
"What we gonna do about the girls?" Liz asked.
"Well me and Rob thought it was probably best we try and keep Lia away from it all and just keep her completely in the dark until anything's been confirmed in case anything happens," Michelle explained, "I thought about doing the same for Ames?"
"Yeah I agree," Steve nodded.
"Yeah but how are we gonna keep them away from it all?" Liz asked.
"Well Lia's gone to bed with a migraine and we could just try and keep Amy in the back or upstairs," Michelle suggested.
"Yeah at least it'll work for tonight," Steve nodded as Liz did too.
"Hopefully we'll have some definite answers by the morning," Liz hoped as Michelle agreed with her.
"Dad!" Amy called coming to the top of the stairs, "Do you like my new top?"
"Oh what am I like I forgot to tell him," Michelle rolled her eyes playfully, "Amy's being shopping with the girls so she's gonna put on a fashion show."
"Wow princess, you look absolutely beautiful," Steve grinned as Amy curtsied at the top of the stairs.
"Wai there! I'll show you my shoes!" Amy announced running back up the stairs.
"Right I'm gonna slip out while she's upstairs, I've got Rob's car he's still with Carla," Michelle explained, "Well trying to anyway they kicked us out saying that something had happened and we couldn't see her anymore."
"Is she alright? Is the baby alright?" Liz worried.
"Yeah, they said she was fine so hopefully we can see her now," Michelle answered as Liz sighed a breath of relief.
"Its probably to do with you know who," Steve inferred as Michelle and Liz nodded in agreement.
"See you in a bit love," Liz smiled as she Michelle smiled back.
"Be safe, ring me when you get there," Steve told Michelle as she smiled at him blowing her kiss before she shut the door and headed back out to the car.
