The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.
Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!

Prompt: "Well, if you'd woken up properly the first time I kicked you, I wouldn't have had to do it four more times."
"Well, that's not helpful one bit."
Jacoba knew that muttering under her breath to herself wouldn't actually help their situation, but it did wonders for her own mentality. She and Doc had (once again) gotten split up from the rest of the team and, subsequently, gotten captured. Yet again. This time, however, it seemed as though Doc was actually down for the count, as the last few times that she had attempted to kick him awake hadn't worked.
Luckily, their captors hadn't had the foresight to search either of them for knives, only taking the guns that they had seen on the two before tying them up. The only problem was that all of Jacoba's knives were in her boots and she was tied with her hands above her head. After attempting (a few times) to pull her legs up long enough to be able to grab one of them, Jacoba had given up on that endeavor in favor of attempting to get Doc to wake up. Finally, he started to stir.
"Finally! Can you grab one of my knives out of either of my boots, cut yourself loose, and then get me loose, please? I'm not sure how long we've got until they come back."
Doc laid still, blinking rapidly up at her in confusion for a couple of minutes before finally nodding and doing as she said. Once they were both finally free, and he had handed the knife back to her, he looked over at her in confusion once again. "Hey, Amazon?"
"What's up?"
"Why does it feel like someone kicked my chest very hard multiple times?"
Jacoba blinked a few times before staring blankly at him. "Probably because I kicked you in that area about five times."
"Why the hell did you kick me that many times?"
"Well, if you had woken the hell up properly the first time that I had kicked you, then I wouldn't have had to do it four more times. Now, can we please focus on getting us out of her quickly and quietly?"
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're going to have to come up with the plan for us, you know that, right?"
Jacoba scoffed. "Don't I always? Come on, old man, let's go."
