Izuku leaped through the air, the wind whistling around him as Blackwhip launched him up the mountain.
His senses flared, and he pushed himself, knowing he only had seconds.
Izuku pulled himself sharply as he appeared over the mountain, grabbing Kota and pulling him out of the way.
Muscular's fist landed on empty ground, shattering the stone before the villain looked up, confused.
'Great, phone's broken,' Izuku thought as he pulled the shattered device out of his pocket.
"Don't worry, Kota. I'm going to save you," He said, feeling his heartbeat quicken.
Muscular snorted, "Save him, huh? You sound like a wannabe hero. All of you love running your mouth in front of people."
Izuku took a deep breath, channeling One for All as Muscular grinned.
"What was your name again? Midoriya, right?" He asked, rolling his shoulder. "We were told we could go ahead and make you suffer."
Muscular activated his Quirk, muscle fibers appearing above the skin of his left arm.
"As long as we take you to the boss alive, I can do whatever I want!" He grinned, leaping at Izuku with a sadistic grin.
Izuku blocked his punch, twisting to redirect the force away from him and Kota.
He turned, kneeing Muscular in the chest before stumbling back, shaking feeling back into his arm.
"Holding back, huh?" Muscular asked. "Bold move, hope you can back it up."
Izuku leaped to the left as Muscular charged again, the villain's fist smashing through stone like drywall.
'Marvin could really use you right about now,' Izuku thought.
Muscular leaped at him, and Izuku didn't have time to dodge as Muscular's knee slammed into his stomach.
He crashed into the mountain, chipping off a bit and slamming his head against the stone.
Izuku tumbled down, trying to push himself up with Blackwhip, feeling his head throb from the hit.
"What's wrong? I thought you said you were going to save the kid!" Muscular said, stalking over. "Where's that little Hero now, huh?"
'You know, if I had known you would've gotten your shit rocked when I left, I would've stayed,' Marvin sighed, cracking his neck a little.
He took control, taking a deep breath as he stared down the approaching Muscular.
"Oi, big guy. Compensating for something?" He asked. "I would be, too, if I looked like you."
Muscular paused as Marvin grinned, taking a subconscious step back as Marvin's Factor flared.
Marvin leaped, kicking Muscular into the mountain before twisting with Float, launching into the villain's face with his fist.
He jumped back, landing in a slight crouch as he grinned at the villain.
"How's that for a Hero?" He asked, feeling slightly cheesy as he did so.
'Never fucking saying that again,' He muttered as Muscular stood.
"I'll admit it, kid. I almost felt that tickle," Muscular laughed before charging him again.
Marvin twisted away from his punch, striking Muscular in the side hard enough to make him stumble.
Muscular knocked him away, and Marvin went flying, flipping and using Float to cancel his momentum.
'What the fuck is this guy made out of?' Marvin asked. 'That punch would've fucking sent someone to the ER and put them on life-long life support, but this fuckass didn't even flinch.'
Muscular grinned, walking toward him and activating his Quirk more.
"You're fast, but that punch was weak," He said, muscle fibers floating off his shoulders. "Your Quirk is inferior to mine, and you're just a weaker version of me!"
Marvin matched Muscular's punch, adrenaline beginning to pump through his veins as he bared his teeth.
"Inferior, huh?" He asked, ducking under another punch. "Bold words."
He punched Muscular in the gut before striking him across the jaw.
Marvin twisted, kicking Muscular in the side before using Float and kicking him in the face.
He jumped back, using Float and glaring at Muscular, his breath slightly shallow.
"What's wrong? Can't handle a punch?" Muscular asked.
"You punch like you have a malfunctioning jackhammer between your legs, fucking dud root," Marvin spat.
'Izuku, your fucking stamina sucks,' Marvin said. Even though his natural stamina was bleeding into Izuku's body, it still had a long way to go before it reached anything his regular body was capable of.
'Hey! Not everyone can fight for three days, ok?' Izuku replied as Muscular launched at them again.
Marvin blocked but still flew back, crashing against the mountain, hard.
He jumped out of the way of another punch, flipping to avoid falling and sliding back a little.
"See what I mean, kid?" Muscular asked. "You're just weak, accept that. I heard it makes death easier to accept."
Marvin couldn't help it; he laughed. He laughed uproariously as if Muscular had just told the funniest joke in the world.
"Oh, please," He scoffed. "If I had a fucking penny for every time someone said that I'd be fucking loaded."
'Midoriya, you going to do it, or do I have to give some kind of signal?' Marvin asked, rolling his shoulders.
Izuku shared control with him, and Blackwhip ripped from his back, six tentacles looming over them.
"What the hell are you, some kind of freak?" Muscular asked, putting something in his eye, able to feel there was a change in Izuku.
"Nice trick you got there," Marvin said as Muscular's muscles grew.
"Mind if I join you?" He asked, Blackwhip moving under their skin and covering their arms.
Marvin and Izuku hissed in pain as what seemed like fire poured down their arms, Blackwhip sheathing their limbs and bolstering their strength.
Blackwhip crawled up Izuku's face, covering his eyes until only his pupils were visible, lightning crackling around his body like some unholy visage of god.
One for All boosted to 65%, making their bones creak painfully, joints cracking, and their hands shaking.
Muscular couldn't even blink before Izuku flew into him, launching him off the mountain with speeds comparable to a bullet.
Blackwhip grabbed him before he could move, wrapping around him and binding his arms to his body.
Marvin pulled him in, his fist landing on Muscular's jaw with a resounding, whip-like crack.
Blackwhip continued to pull Muscular, slamming him into the mountain enough to make a small cave from the force.
Izuku landed, pulling Muscular in with Blackwhip before leaning back with Float.
Marvin kicked Muscular into the air, letting the villain fly before yanking him down with Blackwhip.
Izuku leaped, kneeing Muscular in the throat before twisting and slamming him into the ground.
Marvin landed roughly, stumbling back from the destroyed part of the mountain, breathing heavily.
"Kota, are you ok?" He asked, feeling blood rush in his ears.
Kota nodded shakily, tears pouring down his face as Izuku struggled to remain standing, the strain of sharing control and using One for All so much getting to him.
Muscular stood shakily; his muscle fibers visibly wilted, blood pouring down the side of his face.
"I have to say, kid," He grunted as he stood. "You're good. But not good enoug-"
Marvin grabbed him with Blackwhip and launched Muscular into the air, high enough that even people from the other side of the forest would see his silhouette in the air.
Izuku activated Wind Force, gathering wind before leaping into the air with an ear-shattering boom.
He reached Muscular in the blink of an eye, his fist colliding with the villain's chest with enough force to level the mountain they'd been standing on.
Muscular screamed as Izuku's punch tore through his muscle fibers, shattering his ribs like eggshells.
Blackwhip ripped into him, weaving between his muscle fibers and beginning to pull.
Muscular's scream cut off as Blackwhip slammed his mouth shut, making him bite a piece of his tongue off in the process.
Izuku's punches sounded like gunshots, moving fast enough that he was landing five of them per second.
Muscular's muscles snapped in half as Blackwhip pulled, his eyes widening in pain as his Quirk was quickly rendered useless.
Marvin pulled back the middle finger on his left hand, putting his right hand on his shoulder as a limiter.
Nightmarish Vision hit Muscular head-on, and the villain screamed as he began living through his worst fear.
Izuku punched the air, sending them down and pulling Muscular with him.
He twisted, beginning to spin and gather momentum, Muscular following his movements like he was on a carousel to the grave.
Izuku used Float to stop himself as he neared the mountain, canceling his momentum but not Muscular's.
Blackwhip let go as Muscular soared into the ground, Marvin pressing a finger to his lips and canceling Nightmarish Vision as he did.
Muscular crashed with a resounding boom, causing the mountain to shake slightly from the force.
Izuku grabbed Kota, stopping him from falling off the mountain from the wind his punch created.
He swung up with Blackwhip, landing shakily, his breath heavy as he stared at Muscular.
'Compensating that much is just sad,' Marvin muttered as Muscular's body returned to its natural state.
Kota stared as Izuku fell to his knees, Blackwhip retreating into his skin as One for All deactivated.
"You really are a Hero," He whispered as Izuku stood, his legs shaking from the exertion.
Izuku smiled at him. "I try my best," He said, scooping Kota up and reactivating One for All.
He hissed in pain, black spots appearing in his vision even as he tried to shake off the exhaustion.
'Rest. I'll take over for now,' Marvin told him, taking control and launching into the forest.
He jumped through the trees, shaking off the fatigue as he'd done so many times before as he extended his senses.
His eyes darted to the left, detecting movement from behind the trees.
Marvin swung off a branch and landed heavily, relaxing as he realized it was Aizawa.
"I need to help the others," Marvin said, passing Kota over. "Momo went to check on the fire, and there are more villains here."
"Midoriya, you're running on adrenaline," Aizawa replied. "You can't push yourself too much."
Marvin rolled his shoulders. "I still need to help. I'm not injured, and if the villains here are anything like the guy I just fought, no offense, but most of Class A and B are screwed."
He tensed as he picked up a large amount of killing intent, his head darting to the right.
'Of fucking course they want to kill,' He muttered, One for All activating subconsciously.
"They turned lethal," Marvin said. "I need to go now."
"Tell Mandalay to send a message," Aizawa told him. "All students are permitted to defend themselves; this is a real-life attack."
Marvin nodded and sped off, seemingly teleporting away in a dash of lightning.
He went to the closest source of killing intent, bursting into a clearing like a bullet.
Spinner blinked as his sword turned to dust, Marvin's momentum ripping through it like wet paper.
Marvin punched the villain in the stomach, sending him flying before Spinner could react.
Izuku stepped up, and Blackwhip lashed out, grabbing Spinner and yanking him back to them.
Marvin kneed Spinner in the jaw and let his unconscious body drop, Blackwhip letting the villain go.
Izuku rushed into Magne, kicking the villain's knee in before punching him in the chest.
Magne crashed into a tree with a booming crack, sliding down the bark unconscious and leaving a small trail of blood.
Izuku stepped back from control, and Marvin stumbled a little, the exhaustion worsening.
He shrugged it off, turning to Mandalay and Tiger.
"Mandalay, Aizawa said you need to relay a message," He said before quickly explaining but leaving out the part about the League wanting to capture him, instead saying they wanted to capture an unnamed student.
Mandalay relayed the message, and Marvin sped off, feeling the killing intent inside the forest spike.
'Why didn't you tell them they were after us?' Izuku asked as Marvin leaped through the trees.
'You, and because everyone is going to try and protect us,' Marvin replied. 'We need manpower, and we're the strongest in the classes; protecting us just makes this thing harder.'
Marvin glanced up, noticing the drones flying overhead.
'That guy Nezu hired better get here soon,' He snarled. 'Security improvements my ass.'
He leaped to the right, kicking a Nomu in the stomach, sending it flying and stopping it from crushing Tetsutetsu.
"Hey, Ironman, thought you needed a hand," Marvin said as a greeting.
"Ironman? That's so original," Tetsutetsu replied as the Nomu roared.
Marvin hissed in pain. "Fucking asshole," He muttered.
He rushed the Nomu, landing a punch on its stomach before kneeing it in the side.
The Nomu brought its massive arm down, utterly unfazed by the strike.
Marvin jumped back, his annoyance growing as the Nomu roared again.
Tetsutetsu yelled as he charged the Nomu, tanking its hit and punching it in the gut.
The Nomu backhanded him, and Marvin caught him and tossed him aside.
Marvin leaped, kicking the Nomu in the head before using Float to twist and uppercut it.
He twisted away from a punch, canceling Float and punching the Nomu in its solar plexus.
The Nomu stumbled back but screamed, forcing Marvin to cover his ears in pain.
Tetsutetsu shielded him from a punch, digging his feet in as the Nomu tried to crush him.
Izuku stepped up, and Blackwhip grabbed the Nomu's arms, pulling them behind its back.
Marvin leaped over Tetsutetsu, kicking the Nomu in the jaw with both feet.
The Nomu screeched, causing Marvin to jerk in pain and Blackwhip to loosen its grip.
It broke free, grabbing Izuku by the leg and slamming him on the ground hard enough to make him bounce.
Tetsutetsu rushed it, his arms a blur as he punched the Nomu in the stomach repeatedly.
The Nomu let Izuku go, swinging at Tetsutetsu with an angry roar.
Tetsutetsu blocked, but the strike still caused his feet to dig into the ground, cracks appearing in his steel from the hit.
"Is it just me," He asked as Marvin managed to pull him away with Blackwhip. "Or is this thing getting stronger?"
"Not just you," Marvin replied, spitting out some blood as he landed beside Tetsutetsu.
Exhaustion was beginning to catch up with them, even as they shared control. Going into One for All used up a lot of Marvin's stamina, and memories were draining by themselves.
The Nomu roared again, and small drops of blood came from Izuku's ears as his pain turned into a migraine.
A droning whistle cut through the air, making both teens stop.
Tetsutetsu looked around. "Hey, do you hear tha-"
The ground exploded as something crashed onto the Nomu with enough force to bury it.
Blackwhip shot out, grabbing Tetsutetsu while Marvin used Float to stop himself from flying back from the winds.
"That NEVER gets old! HAH HA!" A deep, gravelly voice laughed.
—
Skies near the training camp. 10 mins prior.
Hebi hated Villains; she couldn't believe she nearly became one before Jona, or rather, Cypher, found her and taught her how to survive as a Heteromorph without ever having to resort to villainy.
She was happy and thankful for his wisdom, as it led to people thinking of her better.
The cobra morph looked out the window as they got close to their drop zone.
This situation struck a chord with her, though… a bad one.
'Heroes in training, barely high schoolers, barely younger than me,' she thought.
The warning light inside the aircraft's cargo bay turned yellow, and a small klaxon started to sound.
Hebi sighed and turned to her team.
"Alright, Listen up, Rescue!" She projected firmly, "Our monitoring drones have picked up Villain activity at UA's first-year training camp, and before you ask any questions, this location was secret from all but a select few people. Cypher didn't even know its location until he signed the contract."
She took a breath and waited for a second in case of any questions before continuing, "This will be a combat drop. There is active hostility against the students. The mission is to drop in, suppress the Villain threat, secure the LZ, and extract both classes with the dropship. Again, we are dropping in, dropping those fucks, and getting those kids out!"
"Thirty seconds!" The pilot called through the intercom as the rear ramp opened, and the yellow light flashed.
"Panzer! Grace! You're out first!" Hebi ordered, "Grace, navigate Panzer to the clearing, release, get some altitude, and be our eyes in the sky; look for those kids."
They didn't answer; the massive walking tortoise walked up to the ramp, with the female Avian hopping onto his back, talons clutching his gear.
She then looked to the last member of their team, a nervous guy who more or less looked human, "You ok, 30?"
"Yes, Ma'am," He answered, getting his helmet on, "It's just we haven't HALOed since training."
"Time to put it to the test, huh, 30? Trust me, how do you think I feel having to have my tail in a bag so it doesn't tangle up in my lines?" she smirked as the light turned green. "Green light! Go, Go, GO!"
The pair were off the ramp at the first go, 30 behind them, and Hebi was the last.
"Clearing in sight, time to release… NOW!" Grace freed her talons from Panzer's gear as he retreated into his shell, starting a rollout spin to control his flight path while the bird woman leveled out to keep her altitude.
'Showtime.' Hebi thought as her vision shifted to her natural thermal, Panzer hitting his target as she and 30 pulled their ripcords to deploy their parachutes.
Marvin tensed as he felt more people enter the area, silently cursing himself for getting distracted. Exhaustion wasn't an excuse; he'd been tired before and kept his guard up.
He blinked, though, as the dust cleared and a humanoid turtle stood from the crater, the mangled remains of a dead Nomu at his feet.
"Oh, great, Leonardo's here," Marvin called. "Did you bring pizza, or do we have to wait for those other three to stop hanging in the air?"
"Not here, but if you want a pie, we got some back at base." was the reply, "You guys don't worry, gather your friends, we're getting you out!"
Marvin sighed. "There's half a dozen villains here. They're going to capture somebody; several students are disabled now; unless you have some secret weapon, we're fighting our way out of this."
That was all the attention he gave the arrival, swinging off to where he felt the strongest killing intent.
He leaped through the trees, sharing control with Izuku and using Blackwhip to propel forwards.
'I'm only picking up three extra people besides that turtle dude,' Marvin told Izuku. 'Are these people really that confident?'
'I mean, one of them managed to defeat that Nomu with a single attack,' Izuku replied. 'Maybe their Pros?'
'A) We could've done that if we weren't fucking exhausted,' Marvin rolled his eyes. 'And B) A Pro Hero you don't immediately fanboy over? The sky would fucking roll up into a Tootsie Roll.'
His senses flared, and he leaped, barely avoiding one of Dark Shadow's massive hands.
He leaped into a small clearing, landing next to Shoji, who had one of his arms cut off.
"And I thought the first guy was compensating," Marvin muttered as Dark Shadow roared towards them.
Marvin jumped back with Shoji, bouncing off trees to avoid Dark Shadow's mindless rage.
"Any idea why Eric Draven decided to go rogue?" He yelled to Shoji, leaping over Dark Shadow's hand.
"A villain cut my hand off," Shoji yelled back, keeping his distance, unlike Marvin, who seemed to be taunting Dark Shadow.
"Oh, great," Marvin said. "Teenage angst. Do we play My Chemical Romance too?"
He weaved around Dark Shadow, essentially playing an almost lethal game of cat and mouse.
"Any plan to subdue Magician Red's emo cousin?" He asked, jumping around with Blackwhip to avoid being smashed into the ground.
"Take him back to base camp so someone can make light and help Tokoyami control it," Shoji replied.
"Light, huh?" Marvin muttered, kicking one of Dark Shadow's limbs away.
'I have a stupid idea,' He told Izuku.
Izuku rolled his eyes. 'Just say you have an idea; most of them are like that either way.'
They shared control and pushed themselves to their limit, ignoring the pain and darting around Tokoyami.
Lightning began crackling brightly as they moved, illuminating the area before it died.
'We need more speed,' Izuku said as they kept moving.
'Drugs are illegal,' Marvin replied without missing a beat, pushing their body to go faster.
They darted around Dark Shadow faster than the eye could see, lightning trailing their movements.
'Momo would be real fucking helpful right about now,' Marvin hissed, feeling their bones creak from the exertion.
They bounced off the trees, swung off branches, and even ran on Dark Shadow itself at one point, creating more light as they moved.
With agonizing slowness, Dark Shadow began to retreat as the area began to brighten, Izuku's movements creating lightning faster than it could dissipate.
Izuku closed in, essentially running circles around Tokoyami until Dark Shadow was at a controllable level.
Tokoyami recalled Dark Shadow, falling to his knees as the sentient Quirk reentered his body.
"Thank you, Midoriya," He gasped, breathing heavily as Izuku stopped running.
"No problem," Izuku said, hands on his knees as he caught his breath.
"Just one thing," He said as he helped Tokoyami up.
"Anything," Tokoyami said.
"Carry something that makes light in your pocket," Izuku told him. "A high-powered flashlight or something. It'll help prevent incidents like this until you can fully control Dark Shadow."
"Agreed," Tokoyami replied before walking over to Shoji.
"I apologize for losing control like that, Shoji," He said. "That villain got the better of me."
"It's ok, Tokoyami," Shoji replied. "No one is going to blame you for-"
His sentence was cut off as Blackwhip wrapped around them, Izuku leaping into the air and pulling them along, barely avoiding Moonfish's knives.
Marvin's hand shot out, Nightmarish Vision firing directly into Moonfish's chest, but in his haste, Marvin had only put three fingers on his shoulder before firing.
Nightmarish Vision shattered Moonfish's teeth-swords, slamming into his chest and sending the villain careening into the forest.
Izuku landed shakily as loud crashing came from where Moonfish had landed.
He stepped forward slowly, Blackwhip ready and looming over his back as he moved.
It was eerily silent, with none of the horrific screams that came when Nightmarish Vision usually hit someone.
They approached the place where Moonfish had landed, finding the villain seemingly unconscious in a crater, his body having smashed through a few trees before coming to a stop.
'You knocked him out?' Izuku asked, astonished. 'I didn't know you could do that with that move.'
'He's not unconscious,' Marvin grimaced. 'He's in a coma. He'll wake up around this time tomorrow but probably won't be able to use his Quirk for a few days.'
'Oh,' Izuku said, staring at the villain. 'B- but how? Normally it just causes fear, right?'
'It does. But depending on how many fingers I put on my shoulder, its strength varies,' Marvin sighed. 'This guy is in a full nightmare, experiencing every possible fear he has until he wakes up.'
"Come on, we have to find the others," He told Tokoyami and Shoji. "They might need our help."
He leaped through the trees, Blackwhip pulling him forward faster as he followed where his senses told him people were.
He burst through the trees, swinging with Blackwhip into a clearing, his Factor subconsciously active as he landed.
Marvin slid to a stop, sighing in relief as he saw Todoroki and Bakugo sitting against a tree covered in bandages.
"I was looking for you guys," He grumbled, his voice coming out deeper than intended.
At his voice, a nervous-looking guy jumped, turning to him sharply.
The guy's eyes widened as he saw Blackwhip looming over Izuku's back, half of Izuku's face completely covered in the Quirk.
Marvin's eyes snapped over to him as the guy activated his Quirk, the barrels of machine guns beginning to poke from his arms.
He moved, feeling the spike in harming intent, closing in on the guy and grabbing him by the collar.
His left hand was pressed against the guy's throat, middle finger pulled back before anyone could react.
"Midoriya, NO!" Todoroki yelled, standing sharply as Blackwhip grabbed the guy's arms.
Marvin paused, noticing the emblem on the guy's right shoulder. It was the image of an anvil with wings, a bolt of lightning striking its face, the same emblem that Nezu's recruitment papers for ANVIL had.
He glanced at the guy, not sensing any intent to harm or kill, and instead, the guy actually seemed repentant.
Marvin stepped back, Blackwhip retreating into his skin as he let the guy go.
He turned to the person tending Bakugo, a pink, snake-like girl who was staring at him tensely, her body coiled, ready to strike if needed.
"Let me guess," Marvin sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "You're with the Dana Carvey cosplayer from earlier? The guy who body-slammed that Nomu?"
"Sounds like him," The girl replied as she stood, giving him a quick once-over. "Mind not blinding me and dimming your eyes?"
Izuku did a double take. Dim his eyes? How could he do that?
'Hold on,' Marvin muttered, giving full control to Izuku. 'Didn't know that passed on.'
"Thanks," The girl said, just making Izuku more confused.
'Uh, can I get an explanation?' He asked, feeling lost.
'No,' Marvin grinned before explaining anyway. 'My eyes look like fucking small stars to infrared thanks to my Factor; if she has thermal vision, they'd be like shining high beams into your face.'
Izuku blinked. "Wait, you have infrared? That's so cool. You have a kind of snake Quirk, right? Are you like a naga? Or more like a gorgon? Would you turn me to stone if I looked at you? Wait, no, you'd have done that already…"
"Goddammit, nerd," Bakugo barked. "Can't you mutter some other time? Preferably once I've blown my eardrums out?"
"But can she, though?" Izuku asked.
"I don't know, but she's turning part of me to stone just by looking at me," Marvin muttered a bit louder than he intended to.
The reactions couldn't have been more different. Todoroki snorted, Bakugo groaned loudly in disgust, the guy Marvin nearly attacked stared at him like he'd grown an extra head that started singing sea shanties, and the girl sighed, ducking her head and rubbing her eyes.
'You do realize you said that aloud, right?' Izuku asked.
Marvin blinked. 'See, no one here can physically tell the difference between us, so I'm just blaming it on you.'
'That's unfair,' Izuku frowned.
'Damn, that's crazy,' Marvin replied. 'I know.'
"Midoriya," Todoroki said, snapping him out of his conversation. "Have you found any of the others?"
"No," Izuku responded before pausing. "I found Tetsutetsu a while back, and I just ran into Shoji and Tokoyami, but that's about it."
"Speaking of," The nervous guy said. "Has Grace communicated anything?"
The girl paused. "Now that you mention it, no. I haven't heard anything from Panzer either."
"While you guys figure that out," Marvin called, swinging up into a tree. "I'm going to go help people. Shoji's missing an arm, and Tokoyami's pretty much down for the count; they're back in that other clearing. Moonfish is there, too."
He ran off, leaving the four there as he ran through the forest. He extended his senses, trying to find any semblance of activity.
'Think the harpy overhead will help us?' Marvin asked as he sensed the avian girl in the air.
He didn't wait for an answer, leaping above the canopy and high into the air, using Float to keep him there.
Marvin put his hands behind him, flicking the air and soaring over to where the dark avian girl was surveying the area.
"Hey, quick question," Marvin said, appearing next to her and causing her to do a double-take. "Know where I can find a black-haired girl, average height, can make stuff from her body, likes hitting things? Lost her when the attack started."
The girl didn't respond, instead looking around, her bird-like eyes scanning the area.
She locked onto where the giant gas cloud was, flying over at impressive speeds without a word.
"Oh, yeah, let's just fly into the poison gas," Marvin mumbled, following her. "Totally a safe and reasonable thing to do. I swear I'm the sanest one here, and that's saying something."
He watched as the girl paused mid-air before beginning to dive, folding her wings as she cut through the gas.
"Is she a fucking Kamikaze pilot or something?" Marvin muttered, canceling Float.
His eyes locked onto Momo, who, along with Kendo, was fighting a villain in some sort of gas mask.
The same villain the avian girl was diving towards.
Momo looked up as something caught her eye, seeing a black blur slam into the villain she was fighting.
The blur wrapped her talons around his helmet, crushing him into the ground, and knocking him out.
She blinked as Izuku fell out of the sky just a second later, swinging around a tree with Blackwhip and landing next to her.
"You know," He said. "When I asked if you could find her, I expected a set of directions, maybe a riddle? Not for you to bodyslam the guy they were fighting."
The bird girl that had crushed the villain stared at him, and he sighed, putting his hands up in defeat.
"That doesn't mean I'm not thankful," Marvin said. "I am. I'm just surprised. This is the second time one of you body slammed a villain instead of taking it out any other way."
The girl made some vague gesture with her wings, and Marvin rolled his eyes.
"I'm ignoring that," He said, turning to Momo and Kendo.
Kendo activated her Quirk, swiping the air to get rid of the poisonous gas.
Izuku blinked. "Oh, let me help."
He leaped into the air, attaching Blackwhip to the ground and yanking himself down.
He punched the ground as he landed, sending out massive winds that nearly knocked the three girls over.
Izuku looked sheepish. "Too much?"
The bird girl snorted, muttering something so softly that neither Izuku nor the other two girls could hear.
Marvin, though, heard it perfectly.
"Ok, first off," He said, jabbing a finger at her. "Rude. And second, overkill is just something people with skill issues use as an excuse."
The girl rolled her eyes, and Marvin responded by muttering something probably unflattering under his breath.
'How can you understand her?' Izuku blinked.
'Rinai would get non-verbal whenever she worked on something,' Marvin mumbled. 'I learned to translate gestures and whatnot so we could talk.'
'Really? She seemed so verbal in most of your memories,' Izuku said.
Marvin sighed. 'Only when she was emotional or calm, you couldn't tell by looking at her. Most of the time, she'd stay quiet and use gestures or mumble.'
Momo turned to the girl. "Thank you for that. I'm Momo Yaoyorozu, who are you?"
"You may call me Grace," The bird girl replied softly.
"Thanks for that, Grace," Kendo said with a smile.
Marvin took a deep breath as he felt a sharp spike of killing intent to his right.
"And off goes to clean up crew," He mumbled as he swung off in the direction he sensed the intent from.
He appeared through the trees, kicking Toga away and grabbing Tsu in a single swift motion.
"Sorry I'm late; fought an incel over a kid, met the off-brand TMNT, a curvy pink snake girl, created a light show, and saw a bird girl dive-bomb somebody," Marvin said, putting Tsu down.
Tsu blinked at him. "Uhh, Midoriya, I think you'll have to be more specific than that, kero. That's a lot of things."
"Oh, you're cute," Toga said as she ran at them, knife extended. "Can I have your blood too?"
"Oh great," Marvin muttered, shattering the knife with a punch. "It's Erika's more annoying, uglier cousin."
He kicked her in the stomach, making her tumble back.
He went to hit her again but paused as he heard a small sniffle.
"What did you say?" Toga asked, looking up with tears beading her eyes.
Marvin stopped, blinking as he tried to find a response.
"I- uhh-"
A sharp pang went through his head, and he reflexively jumped back, avoiding Toga's knife as she tried to cut him.
"That's so mean," She laughed, swinging at him again.
Momo smacked the knife out of Toga's hand with her staff, hitting her in the stomach a second later.
Toga began to retreat, backing away as Momo's staff blurred from her strikes.
"All of you are so mean," Toga pouted before retreating as Kendo and Grace burst in.
Izuku smiled at Momo, feeling the exhaustion heavily. "Thanks for that."
"We're even," Momo replied, slightly out of breath from the running.
Izuku stumbled as another flash of pain went through his head, centered on his left side more.
'I swear this thing is doing more damage to us than the actual fucking villains,' Marvin muttered as Izuku sped off, recognizing the pain as Danger Sense.
'I'm exhausted,' Izuku breathed, jumping from the branches, his movements sluggish.
'Part of the trade,' Marvin replied, sharing control so they could keep fighting.
They pushed themselves, ignoring the searing pain in their bones as they exploded forward.
"Oh, great, it's big, bad, and ugly," Marvin muttered as they smashed into another Nomu.
He jumped back, scowling in annoyance as the Nomu screeched loudly.
Izuku felt a third pang of pain, this time to his right.
He leaped as bright blue flames roared over where he'd been just a second ago.
Blackwhip lashed out, and Izuku slammed feet-first into the ground, Dabi jumping away at the last second.
Izuku leaped away from more flame, using Float to maneuver around the villain.
Danger Sense went off again, and Izuku pulled himself away from the charging Nomu with Blackwhip.
He bounced off a tree, punching the Nomu in the gut before twisting away from its arms.
Izuku stumbled as he hit the ground, his vision hazy and his breath coming in short, shallow gasps.
"Nomu," Dabi said calmly. "Attack the other students."
Izuku's eyes widened as the Nomu charged to his left, directly toward Aoyama, Jiro, and Hagakure.
He leaped to the side, grabbing the three with Blackwhip and throwing them out of harm's way.
The Nomu hit him in the stomach, his jump having unfortunately put him in its path.
Izuku grunted as his back hit the tree, sliding down the bark and struggling to stand.
The Nomu screeched, charging toward Aoyama and the girls again.
"NO!" Izuku yelled, pulling himself up and grabbing the Nomu with Blackwhip.
Dabi smirked. "Do you really think you can save everyone, Midoriya?"
"Yes," Izuku replied, struggling to hold back the Nomu.
"Oh? Is that so?" Mr. Compress asked, standing on a tree a decent distance from them.
He smiled, pulling a blue marble from his mouth and showing it to Izuku.
Marvin's eyes widened as, even through the dim light, he saw Momo's figure inside the marble.
"Your girlfriend would disagree with you," Mr. Compress said. "Or she would if she could talk."
Izuku saw red, snarling as he pulled harshly on the Nomu, yanking it towards him.
"She'll make a perfect Base Nomu; her Quirk is very powerful."
Marvin lost it, and the world lost its color as rage overtook him. He hated human experimentation.
The Nomu flew towards them, and Izuku punched it in the chest, One for All roaring at 65%.
The Nomu's upper body exploded, seemingly ceasing to exist as Izuku's fist passed through it like gelatin.
Its lower body hit a tree to Izuku's right with a thud, leaving a dark mark on the wood.
Blackwhip ripped from his skin, covering his arms, eyes, chest, and even his mouth.
"Give her BACK!" Izuku roared, exploding forward so violently that several trees near him turned to woodchips.
Mr. Compress fell back, only his expecting the attack stopping him from becoming like the Nomu.
Izuku roared, yanking himself down with Blackwhip and landing explosively on the ground.
He rushed into the trees, Blackwhip tearing them apart around him as he followed Mr. Compress' scent.
"What the-" Bakugo muttered as he watched the scene from afar, seeing Blackwhip rip trees into the air like confetti.
"That's Midoriya," Todoroki exclaimed, recognizing the Quirk.
He ran towards the scene, Bakugo begrudgingly following despite his dislike for Izuku. If something got the nerd this mad, it had to be important.
Izuku roared almost painfully, catching a glimpse of Mr. Compress from afar and following like a frenzied animal.
"I said," He growled, managing to catch Mr. Compress with Blackwhip.
He began to crush the villain, his rage overpowering his rationale.
"GIVE HER BACK TO ME," He boomed, yanking Mr. Compress towards him with full intent to kill.
He paused as he felt something hit his head, turning slowly to the source.
Twice took a nervous step back. "Uhh, hi?"
Izuku let Compress go, letting the broken body fall to the ground and dissolve.
He turned to Twice, Blackwhip looming over him, several times his height and with hundreds of tendrils.
Izuku slammed his hand down, crushing Twice with Blackwhip like a person would a fly.
Marvin's senses flared, and his head shot up, spotting another Twice half-hiding behind a tree.
Izuku roared, charging at the clone and ripping up several trees to use as weapons.
Twice ran back, screaming the entire way.
"Are you sure this plan was a good idea?!" He yelled as the clone got squashed between two trees.
"Of course it is," Mr. Compress said, jumping into the area.
Izuku's head snapped over, and before anyone could blink, he was before Compress, Blackwhip grabbing him roughly.
He pulled Compress to him, shrieking in rage like a wounded animal.
A glint caught his eye, and he turned, seeing the blue marble that held Momo rolling some distance away.
Izuku rushed over, picking it up gently and cupping it in his hands.
"Momo," He whispered, tears brimming his eyes.
He tensed as blue flames hit the nearly solid wall that was Blackwhip now, growling as he realized they wouldn't leave him alone.
Izuku turned slowly, putting the marble in his pocket alongside the pills he always carried.
He snarled at seeing the rest of the League appear, along with several Twice clones, and screamed mindlessly, the base instinct that had overtaken him understanding the pain he felt was their fault.
He rushed them, Blackwhip rushing forward, grabbing the clones and smashing them into the ground.
Twice was working overtime, trying to keep up with the rate Izuku was rampaging, his hands shaking as he hoped Izuku wouldn't notice him.
"Midoriya!" Todoroki shouted, finally arriving on the scene, his eyes wide.
Izuku turned, seeing Todoroki and Bakugo, along with the two that had been with them, with Uraraka and Tsu running over with Grace soaring overhead.
Izuku hissed as something hit his side, his momentary distraction allowing the League to attack.
He punched the Twice clone, shredding it with enough force to further rip apart the forest.
Izuku leaped at more clones, tearing them and the forest apart with equal amounts of destruction.
"What happened?" Bakugo asked, shielding himself from the wind Izuku's attacks created.
"Yaomomo got captured by one of the villains," Uraraka answered.
"What the heck is this guy made of?" Hebi yelled as Izuku leaped into the air, dragging a clone with him.
Izuku punched the air, twisting and slamming the clone into the ground with a resounding boom.
The group collectively covered their ears as Izuku screeched, launching a tree like a missile at another clone.
The marble holding Momo fell out of his pocket, rolling away as Izuku continued to rampage.
Mr. Compress released his Quirk, and Momo gasped as she reappeared.
Izuku froze, his head whipping over to her so fast it almost seemed like his neck had snapped.
Blackwhip receded, leaving only a few tentacles that pulled him over to her gently.
"Momo," He whispered, cupping her face gently. "I'm so sorry."
She smiled at him. "We can talk about your need to go off alone later."
Danger Sense flashed, and Izuku grabbed her, leaping out of the way to avoid a column of blue fire.
He landed next to Todoroki and put Momo down gently, staring at the League with wide eyes.
Izuku stood shakily, blood dripping from his nose as his vision went almost entirely black. Stars danced in front of his eyes, his arms and legs shaking from exhaustion.
He shared control again, using pure willpower to keep himself moving.
Izuku leaped forward, rushing Dabi with a flurry of punches.
Izuku jumped over more fire, swinging his leg down in an axe kick that Dabi barely avoided.
'How long can we keep going?' He breathed, stumbling as he avoided a knife from Toga.
'As long as needed,' Marvin snarled, fully taking over.
The group did double takes as Marvin punched Toga into the thicket of trees, his Factor flaring violently.
He rushed towards Dabi, recognizing him as the biggest threat in the area.
Marvin paused mid-air before flying back, tumbling on the ground before coming to a stop.
'Oh, great, Magneto's here,' He muttered, seeing Magne standing by Dabi.
'Just how many clones are there?' He asked, leaping over another Twice clone.
Marvin's left hand shot out, but he paused as he saw the snake girl from earlier hit the clone with a powerful kick.
Chaos broke out, the group activating their Quirks as they snapped out of their shock.
Hebi was fighting another clone, hitting with enough speed and precision that even Marvin whistled low in appreciation.
Todoroki created several streams of ice, trying to trap Dabi, who was evading easily.
Bakugo's explosions went off wildly as he tried to close in on Dabi and Magne, getting thrown back every time.
Dozens of clones came through the remaining trees, turning the fight into a three versus 1 in favor of the villains.
'I'm not sure if they plan to capture you or kill all of us,' Marvin told Izuku as he dissolved another Twice clone.
Bakugo managed to get close to Dabi, figuring out Magne's Quirk had a specific range.
His explosion hit thin air, though, as his hand went straight into a portal.
The group began dropping through portals, being thrown through the air or into each other.
Blackwhip grabbed several of them, putting them back on solid ground as Izuku tried to follow the warnings of Danger Sense.
Marvin slammed a few clones into the ground before barely twisting away from a portal.
Toga came through, her knife swinging wildly.
Izuku jumped back directly into a retreating Dabi, forcing him to leap wildly or get burned to a crisp.
Todoroki tried to burn her, only for his hand to go through a portal and hit nearly Bakugo with his fire instead.
'I'm really regretting not killing these guys on the spot,' Marvin muttered, the exhaustion getting to a point where he felt sick.
Danger Sense flared, and Marvin jumped, twisting to see the threat, but his movements were sluggish.
Mr. Compress' hand landed on him, and his world went dark as his body turned into a marble.

Author's Note: This chapter was chaotic to write, but I had some fun doing it. As you can see, Marvin's arrogance in his/Izuku's skill, while impressive, got them captured. The next chapter is going to be the actual kidnapping, along with the reactions of 1-A and B, along with Rescue Team 1.
For those confused, Hebi is the "pink snake girl," Panzer is the "turtle dude," 30Lead, or 30, is the "nervous looking guy" that Marvin nearly attacks, and Grace is the one Marvin asks for help with finding Momo.
Again, thanks to Wingcommander WhiteWolf for being my beta and helping me smooth out this chapter.
