Marvin groaned as he sat in his seat inside Nezu's office, leaning his head back as he pulled his blindfold down.
"Are you alright, Mister Mikrai?" Nezu asked, sounding slightly amused.
"Ectoplasm quizzed me about everything from Calculus to the Reimann hypothesis," Marvin groaned, rubbing his eyes. "He asked me to prove Goldbach's conjecture."
Nezu choked a little. "He asked you to solve two of the hardest mathematics problems in the world?"
Marvin nodded tiredly. "I managed to prove Goldbach, but by the time we got to Reimann, my brain was fried."
"Truly?" Nezu asked, more than slightly impressed. "And how did you do it?"
"Divide the even number by two, and take the primes on either end," Marvin replied. "It was rough, but that was basically all I could do with the time."
"Impressive," Nezu commented. "And of your other exams?"
"Mic's was pretty easy since English is what I spoke a lot back in my old world," Marvin answered. "Which was a relief because it was right after Ecto's."
He sat up, rubbing his eyes again. "Pretty much failed Midnight's, though."
Nezu raised an eyebrow. "I would think, with your skillset, it would've been the easiest one for you."
"Yeah, well," Marvin sighed, leaning back again. "Most art is based on historical events, and your world is radically different. You guys only had two world wars, from what Midnight told me."
Nezu tensed slightly. Only?
"And how many did your original world have, Mister Mikrai?" He asked, slightly scared of the answer.
Marvin frowned as he tried to remember his history classes. "Like… five, I think. The last one ended like three years after I was born."
'I am beginning to learn not to ask him questions,' Nezu sighed as he tried to process the words.
"I'm sorry," Nezu paused, internally panicking at the thought. "You said five?"
"Yeah, that Ferdinand dude caused the first, then was Hitler," Marvin counted off, his memories coming back to him. "Uhh, the third was less of a 'war' and more Africa getting nuked a bunch. The fourth caused Japan to sink, and the fifth was technically the Second American Civil War."
Nezu cleared his throat. "Ah, care to elaborate, Mister Mikrai?" He asked, feeling dread pooling in his stomach as he began to realize how messed up Marvin's world was.
"You know about the first two," Marvin stated, getting a nod. "Well, the third came from Africa becoming just half a dozen countries thanks to the Hunters, and then trying to attack… either Great Britain or the Germanic Empire, my teacher wouldn't elaborate which. They got nuked."
Nezu blinked, taking a shaky sip of his tea to calm down. "W-well, that is rather interesting, but you mentioned the Hunters, were they a government of sorts?"
Marvin snorted. "They came from what was originally the UN; the Hunters were originally made to hunt Nazis after the Second war. Since Germany half-won the war and got to keep some of its territory, it became a dictatorship, and the Hunters were originally meant to counter them."
He adjusted his blindfold. "Anyway, the fourth came from Russia attacking Japan due to its alleged housing of criminals. America had made what was essentially a nuke gun, and Russia stole the prototype and used it to sink Japan."
Marvin cracked his neck. "The fifth was the result of America being heavily divided politically, some idiot shot an important senator or whatever and it caused the Second Civil War. It spilled onto other places when countries tried to get America to stop."
Nezu gulped, his hands shaking somewhat. "And then?" He couldn't help but ask.
"The divided America became whole after thousands of governors died," Marvin replied. "But America overtook basically every country that wasn't reduced to rubble, and initiated Project Nightfall."
He snarled; Project Nightfall was the reason he and Rinai had been hunted for so long, and the reason he hated the Hunters with a passion.
"Nightfall was the response to people with powers, which had begun in the aftermath of the third war," Marvin continued, now unable to stop himself. "It was a capture tool to make more weapons. The Hunters willingly gave themselves to track anybody who had powers, including me and my sister."
His nails dug into his palms as memories came in. "My sister was smart enough to hack into the government and shut it down from the inside, even with them having at least half a dozen of those AIs that Cypher has. They wanted her because there wasn't a damn thing she couldn't think up."
"They wanted me," Marvin spat. "Because they considered me the pinnacle of physical strength. I've fought off armies singe-handedly and can adapt to almost anything."
He took a deep breath to calm down; losing control would be a very bad idea.
"They wanted to make something like the Nomu," He continued. "A genetic merging of all the best, to make something undefeatable. To make a new kind of Hunter that nobody could hope to match."
"I'm assuming they failed," Nezu commented, trying to keep calm. "Since you're still here."
"They realized after ten years of chasing us," Marvin told the principal. "Just one of us was basically impossible to beat. Us together? We were unstoppable."
His tone became depressed, cracking from the stain as if he carried the world on his shoulders.
"They killed her," He whispered, tears forming under his blindfold. "They made me kill her. They used someone else to override my body and forced me to kill my own sister."
His body shook as he tried to take a deep breath. "Rinai didn't even want to fight; when I attacked her, she dodged and tried to talk me out of it. My Factor couldn't do anything to her, so I had to kill her in hand-to-hand."
Marvin untied his blindfold but kept his eyes closed. "These scars are from me cutting myself the same way I did to her. I held her broken body in my hands, coming out of my mind control only to find her dying in front of me. Even then, she didn't get mad at me, she never did."
He put his blindfold back on, wiping away the tears as he did so. Even at 17, three years after the fact, he still wasn't even close to healing. The wounds still bled every time he let himself rest, almost burned into his eyes.
Nezu took a shaky breath, watching the young man in front of him. Jona was right, there was unimaginable pain in Marvin's eyes, and now that Nezu looked closely, he could see the almost defeated posture Marvin had.
"A-and then?" Nezu asked, more than a bit scared at the answer.
"I killed them," Marvin growled. "I killed them all. It took me three years after Rinai's death to take them down, but I did."
"You took down a government?" Nezu asked in shock.
Marvin nodded. "It was corrupt. I broke into their headquarters, killed their systems, and slaughtered their leaders. I leaked private information to their enemies and destroyed any way the Hunters could defend themselves."
He sighed. "Their last effort was to send every Hunter they had at me. More than 87 thousand of them, along with their tanks and weapons. Three weeks of combat to kill me. They failed."
Marvin rubbed his eyes. "It was the second time in my life I've ever gone all out. The aftermath left a state completely destroyed and several thousand dead."
"Yet you came here," Nezu said. "Why?"
"It wasn't my intention," Marvin replied, the last memories of his world popping up.
He sat against the smoky ruins of what was once a skyscraper but was now little more than rubble.
He held his side, taking deep breaths as he tried to stem the bleeding. His clothing, besides his armor, was practically gone, and his head pounded from using his Factor so much.
"I did it," Marvin gasped, feeling an odd sense of relief. "I beat them."
He knew he would; the Hunters hadn't managed to give him a tough fight since the time they captured him after Rinai's death. It felt like a lifetime ago now, a faded memory he couldn't bother to bring up.
Marvin stood slowly, wincing in pain from his injury. His armor had protected him, but someone had managed to get close and fire a nukegun directly into his side.
"You'd think they'd learn by now," He muttered as he walked. Explosions were practically useless against him due to his Factor's protective properties, and radiation would make him sick but not kill him.
He walked for a while, limping slightly from the mix of pain and exhaustion.
Marvin reached a dead soldier and leaned down, ripping Rinai's knife from the man's neck and sheathing it.
He continued walking again, looking around at the ruins of the city, feeling an odd sense of sadness. People's homes were ruined because of his actions; his fighting the Hunters had caused enough death to wipe out several city populations.
Marvin turned his head, his eyes landing on a woman thrown over a small child, both clearly dead.
Marvin sighed. "War always finds innocents," He whispered, repeating something Rinai always told him.
He cracked his neck and kept walking. The death of a family was sad, but there were bigger things he needed to worry about. It wasn't like he could help the dead, anyway.
He reached the outskirts of the city after a few hours, heading over to one of the ruins calmly.
Marvin crouched against the rubble, beginning to dig through it as if looking for something.
He pulled out a light gray duffle bag and slung it over his shoulder after smacking the dust off.
"Now we just need to start," Marvin muttered.
What he was about to do was highly illegal, but then again, so were most of the things he did.
He stood and walked back to his original spot, mentally checking the list he had.
Marvin reached his original spot and shifted his duffel bag to the front, opening it up and digging through it.
He pulled out a large piece of garnet and set it down gently, along with two emeralds, putting them to the top and bottom of the garnet.
Finally, Marvin pulled out two small emeralds, putting them to the left and right of the garnet.
"This is either going to work or blow up everything in 500 miles," Marvin muttered, pulling out Rinai's knife.
What he was about to do was a sacrificial ritual, essentially killing himself so that nothing like the Hunters could ever come again.
The only way it worked was by someone destroying whatever they wanted to be sealed to its lowest form, and it had to be the whole thing, not just a part.
The rules were finicky, as was all blood magic. That's why it was illegal; too many people had tried to use it and gotten themselves and those around them killed.
Marvin took a deep breath. He couldn't hesitate, because blood magic required absolute devotion or would risk just blowing things up.
He reached back, shifting the bandages around his weak spot calmly. His fingers trembled as they brushed his weak spot, his body knowing this was his end.
"Rest of death, take me with you," Marvin whispered before stabbing his weak spot harshly.
His body spasmed violently, and Marvin's scream could be heard for miles, echoing across the area like a flood, impossible to ignore.
Marvin's eyes went sightless, his breath stopping short of reaching his lungs almost like a computer being unplugged.
His body collapsed forward, his blood covering the gemstones as he did.
The blood magic activated, taking his intent and beginning to rip through the area with such force that it made a nuke look like a smoke pellet.
The magic didn't just take from Marvin but from all those he killed, taking their blood and power to complete the ritual.
But what Marvin, as many others, didn't know was that magic was as sentient as those who controlled it, more than capable of acting by itself.
It had gifted people with abilities far above the average and had blessed Marvin and Rinai with abilities far above that as well.
But for such a gifted pair to give themselves in sacrifice, to save a world that would eventually forget them as it did so many others; no, that wouldn't do.
The Magic breathed, touching into a world with abilities so much like its own. Abilities called Quirks, gifted to people by random chance; far crueler than what their system was.
They saw promise in Izuku Midoriya, one with so much potential to be great, just as Marvin and Rinai were. But pushing Marvin into Izuku's body with his memories would be too much for either boy to handle, and that would certainly cause issues.
So the Magic sealed away Marvin's memories, pushing them deep into the pits of itself in order to hide them from Marvin's keen mind.
It healed Marvin's wounds, fixing his clothing and pushing strength into him to recover that which he'd lost. It couldn't get rid of his weak spot as much as it tried, since the Hunters had used powerful blood magic to seal it into Marvin's being.
So the Magic improvised, touching the wound and changing it. It would still be a spot of great pain, but it would take a much larger hit to kill him, and instead of being painful, it was simply sensitive.
And so, the magic pushed the changed Marvin into the body of Izuku Midoriya, which would help the two grow, but would keep each other in check.
—-
Marvin appeared with a crack above the Midoriya household. He took a deep breath, trying to pull his Factor in.
'Are you SURE this is a good idea?' He asked, feeling an odd sense of nervousness.
'I'm sure,' Izuku replied. 'You've been an amazing friend, and I doubt I can keep something like this hidden from her. I've already hurt her enough.'
Marvin took a deep breath. 'I'm meeting your mom before your girlfriend; should Momo be getting jealous?' He grinned.
Izuku flushed. 'Momo's meeting her in a few days; we've already talked about it.'
Marvin shrugged, silently jumping down and landing in front of the Midoriya apartment.
Izuku opened the door after a second and paused. "Where'd you get those clothes from?"
Marvin was wearing a pair of off-white cargo pants and an oversized gray T-shirt that seemed to compliment his body shape instead of looking awkward. The combat boots had been switched out for a pair of dark sneakers. The only things that had remained were the bandages wrapped around his arms and his blindfold.
"Bag," Marvin replied, gesturing a line over his shoulder.
Izuku made a noise of recognition before turning to the hallway and waving him in.
"Mom," Izuku called. "This is the friend I was telling you about."
Inko bustled over, smiling as she saw them.
"It's nice to meet you," She said sincerely. "Izuku told me how much you've helped him with his Quirk. Oh, and I can't thank you enough for saving him from that villain All for One. I don't know what I would've done had Izuku gotten hurt."
Marvin was taken aback by the woman's sheer kindness, smiling a bit as Inko spoke. From what memories he had, Inko reminded him a lot of his mother, but the green-haired woman seemed even more caring.
"It was no trouble, Miss Midoriya," Marvin replied, keeping his tone as polite as he could. "It was the least I could do."
Inko smiled and hugged him tightly, causing Marvin to stiffen a bit. It felt almost identical to Nana's hugs, with the same warm affection that came from a loving mother.
"Thank you, anyway," She said as she let go.
Marvin was thankful for his blindfold as his eyes burned with tears. Inko reminded him so much of his mother it was almost painful, and he silently wondered if his mother would've turned out like Inko had she lived; he wouldn't have minded that.
"Sit down, please," Inko said suddenly, gesturing to the table and chairs. "Is there anything you would like? Tea?"
"No, thank you, Miss Midoriya," Marvin smiled a bit tightly. He wasn't used to Inko's caring nature even after months of living in Izuku's head, and he wasn't about to make himself a bother.
He sat down gently, moving almost delicately as if a single harsh touch would break something valuable in the home.
"Mom," Izuku rubbed the back of his neck. "There's something I wanted to tell you about me and Marvin."
Inko stopped, staring at him curiously. "Izuku, you have to remember that no matter what choice you make, I will always love you."
Marvin snorted loudly, trying and failing to hide his amusement as Izuku did a double take.
'You continue to be terrible at explaining things,' Marvin laughed, causing Izuku to flush.
"It's not that," He told Inko with amusement. "It has to do with his Quirk."
A look of realization dawned on her face. "Oh, that makes more sense," She said to herself before turning to him. "So what is it you wanted to tell me? Toshinori told me about One for All a few days ago."
Izuku blinked. "All Might came here?" He asked, highly confused.
Inko suddenly looked a bit embarrassed. "Yes, he came around to explain to me where you were and why you were there. He also explained One for All to me, though, I'll admit Izuku, knowing you have his Quirk is kind of a shocker."
'Ignoring the fact that your mother seems to know All Might well,' Marvin commented, causing Izuku to choke at what he implied.
"We weren't going to tell you about that," Marvin said, completely ignoring Izuku's mental protests.
He took a deep breath. "Basically, since the day of the Entrance Exam, I've shared a body with Izuku and helped him use One for All. I'm the reason he had that growth spurt, along with him being able to use One for All so effectively."
Inko paused, her brows knit together. "You… shared a- I'm sorry, I don't think I understand; is this true, Izuku?" She asked, turning to him.
"Yeah," Izuku replied. "Marvin's from some kind of alternate dimension, and he didn't mean to get into my head. It was a Quirk accident that had him end up here."
Marvin had practically made him swear he wouldn't tell anyone about the blood magic, not even Momo; if the knowledge that one could seal away literal concepts of reality using their blood got into the hands of someone like All for One, it would end horribly.
"I've been training him on using One for All," Marvin continued. "He's grown a decent amount since he began. There's obviously still room for improvement, but he's been getting better."
"He's also the reason I'm alive and uninjured," Izuku told Inko. "His Quirk stopped any damage to my body or One for All."
"What is your Quirk?" Inko asked, turning to Marvin curiously. "I know it's strong, but I don't know what it is."
"Energy manipulation," Marvin replied calmly. Jona had presented a perfectly viable theory the other day, why not use it? "I can absorb and redistribute energy at will."
Inko nodded slowly, going quiet as she thought.
She let out a breath. "I'm glad you helped Izuku with his Quirk, and that you're so determined to make sure he reaches his potential."
She stared at him. "But I don't want you to be near Izuku anymore."
"WHAT?" Izuku half-shouted, his head whipping over to Inko.
"I know his intentions are good, Izuku," Inko said, tears falling a little. "But the school contacted me and told me you threw yourself at the villains and that's why you got captured. That isn't you, Izuku; you would let your friends help and work as a team."
Marvin stayed quiet, his face blank as Inko spoke. He couldn't blame her; he had been the reason Izuku got captured, and it was his abilities that allowed Izuku to take more reckless actions.
Even still, he felt a sharp pain in his chest, almost as if someone had stabbed him in the lungs. It was a completely foreign feeling, but it almost seemed to gnaw on him from the inside out, and Marvin bit his tongue.
He bowed his head respectfully. "I understand, Miss Midoriya," He said calmly. "It was my actions that led to your son being kidnapped and held hostage. I take full responsibility for those consequences."
"Mom, Marvin's the only reason I'm still here," Izuku protested before pausing; he didn't want to talk about it, but he needed to let her know.
He took a deep breath. "When I was captured by the League, one of the villains… they tried to rape me."
Inko froze, her body shaking as she stared at him. "I-Izuku…"
"I couldn't do anything," Izuku continued, head bowed. "One for All was exhausted, and I was bound completely to a chair."
He took another shaky breath. "Marvin saved me; he used his Quirk to stop her and give me the energy to fight. I'm only still here because of him."
Inko turned slowly to Marvin, her face questioning. "Is this- Is this true?"
Marvin nodded, his arms crossed. "I took enough energy to get him out of there but didn't account for All for One summoning us. It was pure luck that I managed to get there fast enough to stop All for One from stealing One for All."
"You still fought him," Izuku pointed out.
"Neither of us were going all out," Marvin replied gruffly. "All for One was stalling for Shigaraki and the League to get away, and I was doing the same with you. I was pushing his limits, yeah, but the bastard still wasn't going all out."
Inko sighed, rubbing her face as thoughts whirled. She didn't like how Izuku's dreams often left him injured, even in places that should've been safe, and she didn't like how Marvin was one of the main reasons Izuku had gotten captured.
But she couldn't deny how Marvin's presence was also a good thing. If Izuku didn't have control over One for All that he did from Marvin's training, then he might have lost the Quirk or would've been even more injured than he had been.
"I don't like how you always get injured, Izuku," She sighed, her eyes closed.
Izuku made to speak, but Marvin raised a hand to stop him, noticing how Inko seemed to be gathering her words.
"But I don't want to take your dream away from you," Inko continued, her lip trembling a little.
"Miss Midoriya," Marvin said gently, causing the woman to look at him.
"I know Izuku's important to you," He paused, unsure if he could back up the words he was about to say.
"I'll make sure he doesn't have to get injured again," Marvin stated, his mind already running on how to do that. "I'll train him as best I can, and protect him with my life if I have to. He won't be getting injured again."
Inko paused, staring at him to see if he was being truthful.
She nodded after a moment. "Thank you," She told him.
Marvin nodded. "My pleasure, Miss Midoriya," He said before standing. "I'll be going; it was a pleasure to meet you properly, Miss Midoriya."
He said his goodbyes, walking out of the apartment soon after.
The sun was going down now, and Marvin sighed, cracking his neck before leaping away.
Marvin rolled onto a rooftop, jumping off a second later and bouncing off a wall.
He bounced between an alley, jumping over a street a moment later.
His senses flared, and Marvin twisted, kicking a ripped car down high into the air.
'Great, Nomu,' Marvin snarled, kicking the air and sending himself down into the street.
Three Nomu rampaged through the street, battling several Pro Heroes each.
"You'd think you'd be better at your jobs!" Marvin called, launching into the closest Nomu.
His kick slammed the Nomu onto the ground with a resounding boom.
His Factor flared, hitting the Nomu and killing it instantly.
Marvin leaped forward, hitting another Nomu with both feet and knocking it away from a female Hero with rabbit ears.
"OI," The Pro yelled. "That one was mine!"
Marvin grinned. "Should've been faster, then."
He launched at the Nomu again, kicking its head off easily.
Marvin bounced off a wall, landing beside Mirko with a feral grin.
"Yeah, just ruin my fun," The Pro grumbled as she attacked the last Nomu.
Her kick sent the Nomu flying, and she leaped after it with a crazed grin.
Marvin appeared above the still-flying Nomu, kicking it into the ground and crushing its head.
"OH, COME ON," Mirko groaned as Marvin landed. "You couldn't have left one?"
"I could have," Marvin grinned. "But where's the fun in that?"
Mirko's eyes narrowed. "You're that kid from Kamino, ain't you?"
Marvin shrugged. "Yeah, guess so. Not really a fan of the press, but what can ya do?"
He tried to act calm, but internally, Mirko felt odd to his senses. Marvin couldn't put his finger on it, but something about the Pro Hero felt weird to him; not bad, just different.
For some reason, he got the feeling that biting Mirko was a good idea, even though the rational human part of his brain was adamantly telling him it wasn't.
Mirko raised an eyebrow. "You guess? It's a yes or no question."
Marvin rolled his eyes. "Fine, fine, yes, I am. Happy, Officer Hops?"
"Watch it," Mirko growled a little, jabbing a finger at him. "My kicks can shatter concrete."
"Is that a threat or an invitation?" Marvin replied before he could stop himself.
'Fuck,' He muttered as Mirko did a double take. 'I did NOT just fucking say that out loud.'
Mirko shook off the light blush from his comment but still felt weird. Her instincts were screaming at her to run and never look back, that the thing in front of her was dangerous.
'He isn't even doing anything,' Mirko tried to shake off the feeling. 'I know my instincts have never been wrong but what the hell could this kid do?'
Fortunately, the awkwardness broke as one of the other Pros who had been fighting ran over.
"Hey, kid," The Pro said, running over to him. "What are you doing here? Don't you know it's dangerous?"
Marvin took a deep breath. "I'm going to need you to use your brain for a second. If I'm here, it's because I'm more than capable of handling myself."
The Pro took a step back, their hands raised in a symbol of peace. "Hey, I'm just doing my job here."
Marvin glanced up as he was about to respond, seeing a shadow soar across the sky.
"You've got to be fucking kidding me," Mirko muttered as Ryukyu landed near them.
"I see the rabbit's here," Ryukyu stated as she transformed back. "You'd think they'd send someone competent."
"Last time I checked," Mirko snapped. "I was ranked higher than you."
Ryukyu turned to the other Pros. "I heard there was an attack, is everyone alright?"
"We took care of them," Marvin told her, gesturing between himself and Mirko. "They're dead."
"Shame she wasn't crushed under one," Ryukyu muttered.
Mirko picked it up anyway, her face contorting in rage.
"Listen here, you piss-eyed eye-licking snake swallower," Mirko snapped. "Just because one of us was so desperate that they got the first guy with a dragon Quirk they could find doesn't mean all of us are that fucking stupid."
Ryukyu snarled. "Fuck off, you furball. At least one of us could find a fucking partner and wasn't stood up to prom."
Mirko looked like she'd been slapped before almost audibly growling. Her getting stood up was still a sore spot, and Ryukyu knew it more than anyone.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP, YOU SELF-CENTERED BITCH," Mirko yelled at the top of her lungs. "YOU KNOW DAMN WELL THAT YOU ONLY PICKED CYPHER BECAUSE YOU'RE A FUCKING WHORE THAT CAN'T FUCKING KEEP IT IN!"
"Oh, yeah, 'cause you're one to talk," Ryukyu replied, rolling her eyes. "I've seen how you get during your little fucking season, don't act like you're a fucking saint."
"Don't you even fucking start," Mirko hissed, jabbing a finger at her. "You know I can do fuck all about that, unlike you, who chooses to be a fucking slut."
"Yeah, 'cause I'm the one who cried for three fucking months after Hawks fucking dumped you!" Ryukyu shot back. "At least I can keep my partners."
Mirko looked close to attacking Ryukyu. "You're acting like it's my fucking fault he's the HPSC's little fucking lapdog! The fucker couldn't even keep up with me, and I'm the one at fault here?"
"Well, maybe if you would put as much effort into dating as you did into being a fucking annoying prick, then we wouldn't be here!" Ryuyku shouted, looking close to attacking Mirko as well.
"Shut the FUCK UP," Marvin yelled, cutting off Mirko as his Factor flared violently. "You guys are giving me a fucking headache."
He rubbed his temples, about two words away from making both Heroes collapse on the spot.
"STAY OUT OF THIS," Mirko and Ryukyu yelled simultaneously, their heads snapping in his direction.
Marvin's Factor flared again, freezing both Heroes on the spot as he removed his blindfold.
Ryukyu froze as her instincts kicked in, warning her to stop moving. She listened, knowing better than to ignore them.
Mirko, meanwhile, nearly collapsed on the spot. Her instincts had gone in the complete opposite direction as Ryukyu's, and she slapped a hand over her mouth, feeling thankful that the bottom part of her suit was dark.
'What the fuck, what the fuck, what the fuck,' Mirko panicked internally as her knees shook slightly.
"Are you two done acting like school children now?" Marvin growled. "Goddamn, it's like listening to two chihuahuas."
He pulled his Factor back, closing his eyes as he took a deep breath. He left his eyes uncovered, trying to enjoy the moment.
Mirko turned to him angrily. "What the fuck was that?" She hissed, her fists balled.
Marvin turned to her with a bored look. "My Quirk. It shuts up annoyances."
Mirko flushed in a mix of embarrassment and anger, and it was only her being in public that stopped her from strangling him.
"Really, Rumi?" Ryukyu asked, smelling what Marvin's Factor had made Mirko do.
"It's not my fucking fault," Mirko replied angrily, a dark blush on her face. "This fucking bastard did something to me."
"Ok, we're NOT about to start another argument," Marvin snapped loudly, glaring at both Pros.
Mirko looked away from him, crossing her arms with a huff.
"I'd be more inclined to let Rumi throttle you," Ryukyu said angrily, trying to ignore the heavy unease that came from Marvin's glare. "What the fuck kind of attack was that?! You don't just fucking use that on somebody!"
Marvin blinked in confusion. 'I didn't even use Nightmarish Vision, what the fuck is she yelling for?' He muttered, feeling his anger grow.
"Oh, so you're just going to stand there and act like you did nothing wrong, huh?!" Ryukyu barked, rage on her face. "Who the fuck does that? You fucking-"
Ryukyu's words died in her throat as Marvin's glare intensified, and the Hero tried to ignore the almost desperate screaming of her instincts to get out of the area.
"Don't," Marvin hissed. "Fucking yell. Got it?"
Ryukyu gulped despite herself, taking a step back as her instincts briefly overpowered her. Something inside Marvin's eyes looked inherently wrong, as if his face was just a mask for something much, much worse.
Marvin snarled, leaping away from the street and out of sight before either Pro could do anything.
Mirko turned to Ryukyu, who was shaking like a leaf.
"Hey, what the hell?" She asked, a bit concerned despite her raging emotions. "Who the actual fuck was that?"
"Husband's new project," Ryukyu replied shakily, taking a deep breath to calm down.

Author's Note: As you can tell, Ryukyu and Mirko have a rather long history. They're rivals/friends, much in the same way that Momo and Kendo are, just with a lot more competitiveness.
The reason their insults are so harsh is actually because Marvin's there. His Factor increases aggression and reduces self-control at low levels. So combine that with a lot of pent-up emotions, you get that.
Next chapter will deal with Marvin's side of things, along with having some IzuMomo stuff before it continues to Marvin's test and other stuff like the dorms.
