[Dr. Davenport Speaking]
Deep within a Transylvanian Mountain
The worlds most evil monsters were imprisoned there
And I, Dr. Henry Davenport, the Invisible Man was their jailer
Alas, my friends and I underestimated our evil prisoner, Vampire
He planed to escape, by shrinking!
But the spell shrank Monster Mountain instead
And blew us, all the way to Los Angels
Now we must recapture those evil monsters
Vampire, Medusa and Swamp Beast,
But it isn't easy when your one inch high.
Edgar Raven the world famous horror writer
Was the only human who might truly understand our predicament
Unfortunately, he was away, but his 10 year old daughter Carrie wasn't
Now we're just monsters in her pocket
Monsters in my pocket!
It was a dark, and rainy day in Transylvania when 10 year old Carrie Raven and her classmates's bus pulled up to the hotel they'd be staying in for their class trip. "Here we are." The teacher announced to his antsy students, the kids were happy to see that the hotel was a modern one, and not like the taverns they had learned about. "Let's go!" A boy named Ivan shouted in excitement, the other kids were just waiting to get off the bus. "Make sure you grab your bags." The teacher Mr. Blake told the kids, everyone did as told while they looked around. "I bet creepy Carrie feels right at home." Popular girl Mandy said with an annoying laugh, Carrie silently sighed as her classmates laughed at her. "There will be none of that Ms. Jones." Mr. Blake replied sternly, the kids stopped since they didn't want to get in trouble. "Now then, room assignments." Mr. Blake added on.
Carrie could only hope that she didn't have to share a room with Mandy or her friends during the trip, but she was surprised to find out that she'd ended up getting a room to herself. "Her dad made it happen." Kim scoffed, everyone knew that Carrie's father, Edgar Raven stayed at this hotel whenever he stopped in Transylvania. "Carrie gets her own room as it was the only one left." Mr. Blake responded, that got Kim to go quiet as she chose not to say anything else that might get the trip canceled. "Now, everyone to your rooms, and then we'll get dinner after we've rested." Mr. Blake told the class, like the other kids, Carrie went to her hotel room only to realize that it was the same room her father used when he stayed at the hotel. "Guess I can relax for now." Carried muttered to herself, setting down her bags, Carried got out four of her favorite books that her father had written. "Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Wolf-man or The Invisible Man?" Carrie asked herself, she then chose to read The Invisible Man while leaving the others out in case she finished the first book she began to read.
One thing Carrie loved about the stories, were that while they were based off of the original stories, each one was an original story of it's own make which had been written by her father, but soon enough, Carrie was now bored with just reading her books, but with a glance outside the window, Carrie could still the rain was really coming down since it was turning into a storm. "What else can I do?" Carrie asked as she set down her current story, that's when Carrie remembered that she brought her portable Cd player with her as well as her Hex Girl's Cd which gave her the idea to play it as she sang along to her favorite songs starting with the best song that matched the mood which had been set by the castle-looking hotel along with the rainy turned stormy weather. "Music it is then." Carrie said with a smile, she was getting her Cd player set up as thunder crashed. "AHHHHHHH!" Mandy and Kim's screams rang out, Carrie wasn't worried since she knew that the two popular girls were only frightened by the storm unlike her, Carrie loved that the storm set the mood for her music.

As Carrie continued to listen to her music, her classmates and teacher were talking with Mandy and Kim as the girls told them what had happened. "W-we s-saw f-four mon-monsters!" Mandy struggled to say as she was shaking in fear, Kim tried to speak next. "T-they w-were o-outside t-the h-hotel." Kim added as she shivered in worry, Mr. Blake walked over to the window then peered out into the night, but he didn't see anything let alone four monsters. "There's nothing outside." Mr. Blake told the two frightened girls, Mandy and Kim huddled together as the hotel manager came by. "What's happened?" Ms. Grim asked in worry, Mr. Blake told her about what his students believed that they had seen. "Oh dear, I didn't think they would come so soon." Ms. Grim replied as she fixed her glasses, now Mr. Blake was concerned. "Who would come?" Max asked as he looked at the manager, the teacher and students gave Ms. Grim their full attention.
Ms. Grim explained that deep inside the forest, there is a mountain that once housed the worlds most famous evil monsters for centuries, but a hundred years ago, four monsters imprisoned the evil monsters then turned them to stone so they'd never hurt anyone again, but with the other monsters gone, the four remaining monsters began coming down from the mountain looking for any humans they can get their hands on, then dragged the human back up to their mountain home to live with them forever. "Why would they take humans?" Lizzie asked in confusion, Ms. Grim shook her head with a heavy sigh as she answered Lizzie's question. "No one has any idea as to why they choose a human." Ms. Grim replied to Lizzie, suddenly, Ivan looks around at his classmates only to realize that someone is missing. "Hey, where's Carrie?" Ivan asked Mr. Blake, everyone looked around for the daughter of the famous horror writer before their eyes widen in worry. "Maybe she's still in her room?" Tony suggested, he was hoping that was the case along with the others. "She may be in danger!" Ms. Grim responded as she ran out of the room, everyone followed her to the room where Carrie was, and were happy that she was safe.
Carrie had been startled by her classmates, teacher and the hotel manager bursting into the room with panicked looks. "What's wrong?" Carrie asked as she put her stuff back into her bags, the others kids looked happy to see her before their looks changed into ones of fear. "We thought the monsters had taken you!" Mandy answered her, hearing this made the other kids nod while Carrie was not amused. "Very funny." Carrie said as she became mad, the other kids looked ashamed as they realized that Carrie believed that they were making fun of her. "It's true!" Ms. Grim spoke up, she told Carrie what she told the others before they came to the room. "I may read horror stories, but I know they're not real." Carrie replied as the window behind her silently opened, she couldn't believe that the manager as well as her teacher actually thought that monsters were real, and not just apart of made up stories, legends, or movies.
This made the other kids realize just how badly they'd messed up, because of them bullying Carrie so much, she didn't believe them about what happened to Mandy and Kim even though Ms. Grim was trying to warn her of what happened with the two popular girls until Lizzie saw a pair of hairy hands and arms appear behind her classmate. "WATCH OUT CARRIE!" Lizzie shout in fear, before Carrie could turn around, the clawed hands grabbed her waist before two bandages hands grabbed Carrie's bags. "The monsters got Carrie!" Chrissy screamed out, everyone rushed to the windows just in time to see their classmate in the arms of the Wolf-man as she struggled to get away from him. "ARWOOOOOOO!" The Wolf-man howled as he, the Mummy, the Invisible Man and Frankenstein ran away from the hotel and into the forest. "What now?" Tony asked as he broke the stunned silence, everyone looked to the two adults in the room with them. "We hope and pray that your friend will find her way back." Ms. Grim replied sadly, Mr. Blake and his students realized that they couldn't go after Carrie without getting lost or worse, so for tonight everyone stayed together in the lobby while they thought about Carrie and how scared she must be. "Hopefully Carrie will be okay." Max said what his fellow classmates had been thinking right at that very moment.
First chapter done! I don't own the song in this chapter or Carrie Raven since she's from the show Monsters in my pocket which was produced by Hannah-Barbera, but it never aired.
I do own the other characters, minus the monsters mentioned, we'll get to them in the next chapter. Please read and review, but no flames!
Also, check out my other story for Monsters in my pocket!
