Excerpt, report of Officer Jenny on the Ribbon Cup incident on the S.S. St. Flower, sailing from Pacifidlog to Slateport

… at this point, Brodie disguised himself as me. I personally judged that he looked more like Cousin Jenny from Ecruteak than myself, but as is normal most people had difficulty telling us apart.

However, Gym Leader Brock managed to discern which of us was the fake with a speed that was slightly surprising. I had previously heard of his… unusual attitude to women from other members of our clan, but I had not realized that this extended to the ability to determine whether someone actually was a woman or not.

Brodie then revealed his identity and attempted to escape via jet pack, but trainer Ash Ketchum instructed his Latias to catch Brodie. This Pokémon was invisible at the time, and caught Brodie before discarding his jet pack.

Ketchum then began talking about a previous encounter with Brodie. It seems that Ketchum and his friends had previously had a run-in with Brodie, in a situation where Brodie was claiming to be an ally of theirs – by the sounds of things it relates more specifically to the Magma and Aqua file, but unless we're lacking evidence on that one I wouldn't want to pull him into it.

Brodie then ordered his Ditto to copy Ketchum, possibly as an attempt to confuse Latias. I am unsure as to why there was a sudden flash of golden light, and Ketchum did not wish to explain, but his Ditto is currently undergoing medical treatment for a bad case of default mode lock. I would advise in the strongest possible terms that the Ditto be kept under close confinement and away from their trainer.

With the last known member of Team Magma accounted for, we may be able to conclude the investigation…

Yep, that's all I'm saying about that incident.
