Episode 13: What If We Could Start... Anew...

ll

ll

ll

Hesitantly, everyone entered the chamber, nervous as to what awaited them within.

ll

ll

ll

Inside the chamber, the light that everyone saw a moment ago vanished.

ll

ll

Inside, the chamber, became something that seemed to only exist in Science Fiction books and movies.

ll

ll

There was the futuristic whir of technology, with machines humming around them as the place went from a dim room only lit by small purple lights from various machines, to bright as the lighting was activated and the room became white.

ll

ll

The girls looked around. The machines were all gilded in a metal that seemed to be a mixture of gold and bronze, to create a dull beige hue, which was accented with a matte black to cover any openings.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Unfortunately, we need to go a little further for the ritual, but I will explain as we go.

ll

ll

ll

The girls began walking through the array of self-functioning machinery. A choir of quiet ticking sounds and mechanical movements broke the seemingly everlasting silence.

ll

It all seemed out of place. There were different styles of craftsmanship from different centuries to have already past, to styles that seemed futuristic based on their seeming complexity.

ll

ll

While older styles seemed to shine with bronzes, silvers and other metals, they all had black to cover any of the openings that would've been present. But with the future technologies, they shone with the beige hue and wire white instead of black.

ll

ll

ll

(Usagi) As you can see, not everything in this place is the same. Gathered here, are different technologies that have been discovered throughout the ages. But even though they are hundreds of years old, they have been preserved by the technology brought here eons ago, by the Silver Millenium.

ll

ll

ll

Everyone was surprised.

ll

ll

(Ami) What!? But how? The Silver Millenium never came to Earth! How is it possible that their technology could be found on Earth when they never came to Earth in the first place?

ll

ll

(Usagi) But who's to say that they never came to Earth?

ll

ll

(Haruka) What are you on about?

ll

ll

(Usagi) I'm saying, that the Silver Millenium came to Earth... a very... very long time ago.

ll

ll

(Makoto) But what about the Golden Kingdom? Wouldn't they have had a problem with the Silver Millenium doing something within their own territory?

ll

ll

ll

(Usagi) Not if we did it before they were even established.

ll

ll

(Minako) But still, even if that were the case... How would you even know that?

ll

ll

(Usagi) Because. I was here when it was built.

ll

ll

(Michiru?) That's impossible! We were all sent here, to Earth, together! Born at the same time and destined to reunite and recreate the Silver Millenium on Earth.

ll

ll

(Usagi) But that's how all of you remember it. Don't you remember? When we all died on the Moon and the Queen granted us the ability to reunite on Earth? Well, there was an error in her wish. She may have sent us all here to reunite, yes. But she did not specify as to when it would happen.

ll

ll

(Makoto) Wait... if you're about to say what I think you are... then how many lives have you lived?

ll

ll

(Usagi) Well... I've lived about... 5... lifetimes.

ll

ll

The group stopped and stared at her with horror on their faces. That would mean that there were five periods in history where Usagi was born, lived, and died before any of her friends reincarnated for even the first time.

ll

ll

She was all alone... for five entire lifetimes, she waited for them.

ll

ll

A tear came from her eye as she turned around to face them.

ll

ll

(Usagi) It took a few lives, but it was all worth it... to see all of you again, to fight by your sides again.

ll

ll

(Ami) But how!? The human mind is only capable of two hundred years worth of memories, you shouldn't be able to remember anything!

ll

ll

(Usagi) That's the thing. I barely remember who I was in each of those lives... And you gotta remember, we're not really human either.

ll

ll

They stopped at a door, that with a quiet hiss, slowly opened up to an area that looked similar to the Shrine's courtyard. But there was a sharp contrast between the two.

ll

ll

The Shrine that was before them, was made of a natural white quartz. The stones were cut to be seemingly perfect, but with them, there were cracks that created veins with their surfaces.

ll

ll

Whoever built the Shrine had apparently seen this error and filled in the cracks with the beige gold to create a beautiful effect of White Quartz with golden veins.

ll

ll

The gates had been carved out of a wood that was grey, and with the same golden veins as the Quartz. The wood had never been painted. They had been left unpainted, but still had the grey hue, the evidence in the dark lines from the rings in the grains of the wood.

ll

ll

Another stark contrast was that there was no large Shrine on the middle. There was a large golden circle that held within many gold rings, a center of pure, white Marble. But there was something large enscribed in the circle that was too low for anyone to even make out.

ll

But before the girls could look any closer, someone came to greet them. It was Serenity.

ll

ll

ll

(Serenity) It's great to see that everyone is still doing well.

ll

ll

(Haruka) What the-! Why are you here Serenity? Shouldn't you be with the others?

ll

ll

(Usagi) It's fine, she's supposed to be here. Now Serenity, do you have them all with you?

ll

ll

(Serenity) As a matter of fact, I do. But it wasn't easy, I'll tell you that.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Perfect, we shall prepare everything that is necessary.

ll

ll

With Rei under her arm, Usagi went ahead to the circle and laid Rei in the innermost circle.

ll

ll

(Ami) Just what is this place used for?

ll

ll

(Usagi) Alright, I will take Mr. Hino from here.

ll

ll

Makoto placed Takeshi on Usagi's shoulder, and she took him away. She was hesitant before but knew now that she was in too deep to be refusing now.

ll

ll

ll

Just like with Rei, she placed Takeshi near Rei in the circle.

ll

ll

Then, she backed away and went towards the others.

ll

ll

ll

(Usagi) Now, this is very important. I need each of you, to take a place around that golden circle, the outermost one and keep an equal distance between you.

ll

ll

ll

As everyone started walking towards the circle, she stopped the alternate Michiru.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Don't worry, you won't need to take part in this. Just stand next to Serenity. Okay?

ll

ll

(Michiru?) O...kay..

ll

ll

Usagi seemed to be in a cheery mood as the ritual became complete. In any other scenario, it would've seemed completely normal. But here, in this silent Shrine of Quartz, wood? and Gold, it came off as unnerving to the others.

ll

ll

ll

(Usagi) Now everyone, transform and announce your Sailor Name.

ll

ll

Everyone transformed into their Eternal Counterparts.

ll

ll

(Usagi) I, am SAILOR MOON

ll

ll

(Ami) I, am SAILOR MERCURY

ll

(Makoto) I, am SAILOR JUPITER

ll

(Minako)I, am SAILOR VENUS

ll

(Haruka)I, am SAILOR URANUS

ll

ll

(Setsuna)I, am SAILOR PLUTO

ll

The sounds of their voices echoed throughout the large chamber. But at first nothing happened.

ll

ll

But announcing their presence seemed to trigger some kind of reaction.

ll

ll

Below them, the ground began to shake as the circles in the middle of the courtyard began to spin, and a bright blue light began to emanate from the golden cracks.

ll

ll

The circles spun wildly before stopping once more, and the lights from the crevices becoming dim.

ll

ll

There was more rumbling, but this time, it was followed by the clicking of mechanical gears and machines.

ll

ll

The circles in the middle began to rise very slowly, and stopped at only a few feet in height.

ll

ll

A blue light outlined the circles, then separated Rei and her father, who were abruptly awoken in the middle of the process.

ll

ll

(Rei) Hmm... what the hell... Huh? Why am I?-

ll

ll

(Takeshi) Shit! Oh fuck! They knew. TheyknewTheyknewTheyknewTheyknew and they came for me. WHat do I do, what do I-

ll

ll

Takesh looked over at the girls. His eyes were full of fear, like those of a cornered prey.

ll

ll

He yelped and scooted back until he hit the blue light at the edge of the circles. It was a barrier.

ll

ll

His back had hit it. Then he turned around, still panicking.

ll

ll

(Takeshi) What the HEEEELL!?

ll

ll

(Takeshi) YOU!
ll

ll

He pointed his shaky finger at Usagi and Mamoru.

ll

ll

(Takeshi) Let me out of here! Let me out of here this instant, or else I'll have the entire Japanese Self Defense Force RIGHT UP YOUR ASSES!

ll

ll

(Mamoru) Oh Mr. Hino... we're in a place where they won't find you.

ll

ll

Everyone except Usagi seemed taken aback. Wasn't that... a little too far?

ll

ll

(Usagi) Now let's commence with the ritual, shall we?

ll

ll

Usagi summoned her great longsword. It's golden blade still shining in the dim light.

ll

ll

First she walked to the part of the barrier that held Rei.

ll

ll

(Usagi) You are first, Rei.

ll

ll

Takeshi and Rei's eyes both widened at the revelation.

ll

(Takeshi) Rei... is that... you?

ll

ll

(Rei) Father! I can-

ll

ll

(Takeshi) You can what!? Lie to my face again?! You stupid and USELESS child! I could've made millions, just to let people see you, but you took that! FROM ME, YOUR OWN FATHER!

ll

ll

(Takeshi) I AM YOUR FATHER! YOU OWE ME TO YOUR FUCKING EXISTENCE! I OWN YOU!

ll

ll

At the last remark, Usagi stopped and glared at Takeshi.

ll

ll

(Usagi) I see! You're so eager to go first that we'll start with you!

ll

ll

Takeshi tried to jump up and punch Usagi when she entered his side of the barrier.

ll

There was a low thud as Takeshi landed his punch. He smiled with smile full of malice. But his face went cold when he saw that Usagi was still smiling, even as his fist lay on her face.

ll

ll

Mamoru unhilted his sword and was about to rush Takeshi, but Usagi raised her hand to him.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Mamo, remember what this ritual does? There's no need for that.

ll

ll

Mamoru hilted his sword and stood back in his place on the circle.

ll

ll

(Haruka) USAGI! You still haven't told us the meaning of this ritual. What is the purpose of it? And why are THEY needed?

ll

ll

(Usagi) Oh Haruka... I wish I could've told you all much sooner, but if I had done that... then you would've never come here of your own free will.

ll

ll

(Haruka) Huh!? What the hell does that-

ll

Haruka tried to move from the circle, but her feet were planted in place and refused to move on her command.

ll

(Haruka) Usagi, what the hell is all of this!

ll

ll

She watched Usagi for an answer, but it never came.

ll

Usagi pushed Takeshi off of her and with a swift swing of her blade, she slit his throat, wrist and jabbed the sword into his chest.

ll

ll

It was so quick, that Rei had a delayed reaction. Her face went limp as she stared at the slumped down bleeding fountain that was her father.

ll

ll

(Rei) Dad... no... DAAAAAD! NOOOOO!

ll

ll

Rei fell to her knees, her hands still on the divisor of the barrier.

ll

ll

(Rei) No... but why... USAGI HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME!?

ll

ll

(Rei) WHY COULDN'T YOU JUST LET ME BE HAPPY FOR ONCE!? AND ALL OF YOU! WHY DO YOU FOLLOW HER!? IF YOU DO THAT, YOU'LL END UP LIKE ME. ALONE.

ll

ll

There was nothing that anybody could do, but stare. Their eyes were full of regret and fear. Was this the reality of their situation? Would they too end up like this if they tried to fall in love? Watching the ones they loved, die at the hands of their leader?

ll

ll

(Rei) HEED MY WARNING OR ELS-

ll

ll

With the brutality of a wild predator, Usagi ran behind Rei, and stabbed her through the chest. But that wasn't the end of the horror. Before Rei could say any last words, Usagi retracted the blade, and before Rei could fall to the ground, lifted her head and sliced her throat, the velvet blood pouring over her Sailor Uniform, to her pearl skin and finally to the ground.

ll

ll

Usagi dropped the girl like she was nothing and looked for signs of life from above.

ll

ll

Nobody protested. They just stared at Rei's lifeless body, her eyes left wide open with terror and heartbreak.

ll

ll

Their deaths though, were not purely out of vengeance. The blood flowed into veins that connected into one, mixing the bloods and finally into a drain that led to somewhere unknown.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Michiru, Serenity. Are you ready to go home.

ll

ll

(Serenity) Yes... we are... prepared and have brought the fallen with us.

ll

ll

(Michiru) I can't believe they're... dead...

ll

ll

(Usagi) Unfortunately... this was their fate. They were going to let the world tear us apart, limb from limb. I could not let that happen, and I also needed the blood of a Sailor Guardian mixed with the blood of a descendant of the Golden kingdom, to send all of you home. So there was no avoiding this fate.

ll

ll

(Ami) The fallen!? Wait, what does that mean!?

ll

ll

People began coming from another area of the underground complex, looking around.

ll

ll

At the front, six people each held urns. These urns held the remains of those that the alternate Usagi had killed, the rogues that the Sailor Guardians had to dispatch, and finally, the one herself. The alternate Usagi Tsukino.

ll

ll

After the people had all entered the chamber, a portal that looked like a pitch black hole opened on the opposite side of the barrier and the barrier itself fell.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Now everyone! You will all be sent to your home worlds to the exact time you left that world! Please enter the portal in a calm and orderly fashion!

ll

ll

The people with the urns went in first. Then after them, regular civilians with tears in their eyes went through, happy to finally go home.

ll

At the end of the line, it was Michiru and Serenity.

ll

ll

(Serenity) Well Usagi Tsukino... this is it. This is where our paths go separate ways. I wish we could've stayed in contact, but I'm afraid that's no longer possible.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Yeah... but we'll meet again soon enough. Goodbye Serenity.

ll

ll

(Serenity) Goodbye.

ll

Serenity walked through the portal.

ll

ll

(Michiru?) Well, what can I say, it's been a blast and I'll see ya later? Hell no! This has been a complete nightmare and am happy to leave!

ll

ll

(Michiru?) But... being able to sleep peacefully and take a hot shower... I'm gonna miss those things, so I guess it wasn't the worst.

ll

ll

(Usagi) I was waiting for that... Goodbye Michiru.

ll

ll

(Michiru?) Later Usagi. Hopefully mine isn't as batshit crazy as you are!

ll

ll

Before Usagi could reply, Michiru sprinted and jumped through the portal.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Okay... (Bitch!)

ll

ll

After all of the alternates had left the world, the thing keeping everyone on the circle, suddenly let them go and the portal closed. The rings returned to their previous state and the barrier fell.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Now. I know you all must want an explanation.

ll

ll

(Makoto)Damn right we do! We just watched you kill REI! And everything else!? You couldn't have, I dunno, GAVE US A FUCKING HEAD UP!?

ll

ll

(Minako) I have to agree. All of what we saw... I'll never be able to forget that.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Well, that's the thing. When we leave this place, we'll have no memory of it. I'll remember of course, but all of you will have forgotten about it as soon as the door shuts behind us.

ll

ll

ll

(Haruka) And what about Michiru? Hotaru? Didn't they know that we were here? What's gonna happen when they ask us about everything that took place? We won't even know what to say to them!

ll

ll

(Usagi) Haruka.. Mina, Mako... I have it all under control. Trust me.

ll

(Usagi) Look at what I just did for all of us. I just sent every living, and dead, alternates back to their home worlds! And look, the threat of our real identities has been dealt with. IT'S. OVER!

ll

ll

(Usagi) We can finally rest now everyone, don't you see? This is what we were doing RIGHT before the alternates came. Haruka, we can work together at your shop, you can travel with Michiru for her shows and here for your races.

ll

(Usagi) Mina, you can finally be the worlds largest idol without being worried about one of our own going out of their way to sabotage your career!

ll

(Usagi) Mako, you can run your dojo without fearing that Rei will come in one day and tell everyone that you're Sailor Jupiter.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Ami, you can continue your path to becoming an incredible surgeon without thinking that one day, it'll all be taken away because of your status as a Sailor Guardian.

ll

ll

(Setsuna) AND WHAT ABOUT REI HINO!?

ll

ll

The shout spooked the girls, except for Usagi. It rang throughout the chamber and in the girls minds. They didn't want to say it, but it was on all of their minds.

ll

ll

The cheerfulness in Usagi's voice faded away as fast as her smile.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Setsuna... You can still continue your life of ordinary office work until your calling as a Sailor Guardian RIPS you away from that life.

ll

ll

(Usagi) As for Rei? Well... she made her decisions. Poor ones at that, but nonetheless, she made those decisions that led her here today. I mean think about it. She started a romantic relationship with an alternative version of me, because she held dominance over her. She fell in love with a powerless ME!

ll

ll

(Usagi) As if that wasn't bad enough, she then defended her as she MURDERED other alternates that had no clue of what was happening to them! But ohh noo let's not stop there shall we.

ll

(Usagi) She tried to kil ME. HER OWN COMRADE! I have fought beside her in life and death, but now she tries to go for my head? Why? After all we've been through to save everything and ourselves, we should've been closer than that right? RIGHT!? But it wasn't just once. Not twice, but THREE SEPERATE TIMES SHE TRIED TO FUCKING KILL US! YOU! YOU! ALL OF YOU!

ll

ll

After yelling out loud, Usagi takes a second to calm herself.

ll

ll

(Usagi) And that's not even the end of it. After this, we have to live in fear of retaliation after supposedly "murdered" the girl out of justice. Then, after so long, she threatens our very lives by announcing our exposure to the world, and making it look like she had been duped. And why make such a bold claim after she had died!? Well, remember when her own father realized who she was? He was LIVID! He wanted to kill her for such a betrayal...

ll

ll

(Usagi) So that begs the question to you specifically, Setsuna. WHY. SHOULD. WE. CARE?

ll

ll

(Usagi) Why should we care about someone who, not only was dead set on killing me, but also ready to ruin your entire lives on this Earth?

ll

ll

(Setsuna) Because she was one of us, and the way you did it, it was savage! It was wrong!

ll

ll

(Usagi) So...? Did none of what I said reach you? Huh? Did none of what you yourself experienced, matter to you personally, at all? Huh? Because from my point of view, she didn't care that we were allies, so neither did I.

ll

ll

(Setsuna) You're a monster...

ll

ll

(Usagi) Setsuna, you're reaaaally starting to cross the line. So why don't we just leave already, what do ya say?

ll

ll

(Setsuna) NO!

ll

ll

Setsuna drew her glaive of silver and garnet and pointed it's round, garnet orb at Usagi.

ll

ll

(Setsuna) Because you, are just as bad as her and we cannot have you doing what she did, to those of us that remain. I will cut you down, HERE AND NOW! To prevent anyone else from suffering at the hands of a Rogue Sailor Guardian!

ll

ll

Setsuna screamed as she charged Usagi. But in the midst of her charge, something pricked her on the back, and she fell to the ground, her glaive returning to it's place within her soul as it clattered to the ground.

ll

ll

There was a small hook in Setsuna's back, the long, straight rod poking out of her back, still arching small electrical bolts around the entry point.

ll

ll

Everyone looked behind Setsuna to see Mamoru in his Tuxedo, pointing a modified stun gun where Setsuna had laid.

ll

ll

(Mamoru) That's enough. There's been enough bloodshed already. I don't want to see anymore of it among you.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Now then, as I said before. Let's get the HELL OUT OF HERE!

ll

ll

Usagi was acting like they had just finished final exams at school the way she was almost running up the stairs to the entrance.

ll

ll

Even with Setsuna weighing her down, Usagi still seemed to be quick to the exit.

ll

ll

As the entrance opened, it allowed for a bright moonlight to cascade down onto them. As it opened though, Usagi turned around before the exit.

ll

ll

(Usagi) I know you all might think that what I did was wrong or criminal, but just know this, everything is now going back to normal as a result of my actions. So whether you agree or disagree with what I did, the outcome is the same. My actions have brought peace to your lives as you live normally among humans, no longer needing to become Sailor Guardians.

ll

ll

One by one, each girl walked up and out of the entrance. As they did so, they returned to thri civilian forms.

ll

ll

After everyone had walked out. A moment passed and they each blinked rapidly, as if they had been dozing off.

ll

ll

ll

(Minako) Huh, what the!? WHy are we here?

ll

ll

Everyone began looking to each other for answers.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Well duh! Remember, you all said that you'd help me find that car that was left here after the Shrine burnt down? Jeez, and after I did favors for all of you...

ll

ll

ll

(Makoto) Oh... y-yeah, thats probably true.

ll

ll

(Ami) Just feels like we're forgetting something.

ll

ll

(Usagi) well, you guys did doze off for a good while when I started looking around. You were all probably looking at the Full Moon we're having tonight.

ll

ll

(Setsuna) Oh yeah, that's right. (I'm an adult, I need to seem like I wasn't dozing off like some kid!)

ll

ll

ll

(Makoto) So, did you need help finding that car, or...?

ll

ll

(Usagi) Oh I found it alright, just need your help getting the debris off.

ll

ll

(Makoto) Okay.

ll

ll

Usagi knew where the car was located. Thankfully, the shed had protected the car from the avalanche of debris that came crashing down on it.

ll

ll

After moving some of the debris out of the way in order to get the car out, Usagi drove the black 1978 Datsun 280Z out of the shed and into the adjoining street for everyone to see.

ll

ll

There were oohs and ahhs from everyone. But there was one question.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Ohh... I got an idea for this thing. But first, and I know this is probably a good idea. But does anyone want a ride home?

ll

ll

(Makoto) Could we really all fit in that thing?

ll

ll

(Usagi) I don't know... wanna try?

ll

ll

Everyone looked at each other with nervous looks.

ll

From the position of the Moon, the last busses and trains had all probably run to their last stops. A LONG ASS TIME AGO. So they had no choice, but to go along with Usagi's plan.

ll

(Usagi) Relax, I'm just kidding. I'll be right back, just sit tight.

ll

ll

ll

Usagi gently put the car into first... and slammed her foot against the gas pedal, sending the car racing down the road with the engine roaring and the single turbo whisting.

ll

ll

The girls stood on the side of the road for about 15 minutes before two cars came to them, the same black 280z and the familiar AE86 Trueno.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Alright guys, I'm back, we can get everyone home now.

ll

ll

(Ami) That was fast, Usagi! But who's driving your car?

ll

ll

The window on the 86 rolled down to reveal Shingo.

ll

ll

(Shingo) Hey guys!

ll

ll

(Makoto) Um... Usagi? Do you trust your brother to drive half of us home? Without getting into an accident?

ll

ll

(Usagi) Oh you don't have to worry about that. He's actually pretty good for an 18 year old. And he knows that if I see SO MUCH AS A SCRATCH ON MY BABY... that there will be Scorched Earth.

ll

ll

For a second, when Usagi was shouting, Shingo seemed to be slightly nervous for a second.

ll

ll

After discussing it, Ami, Minako and Makoto went with Shingo, while Setsuna Haruka and Mamoru went with Usagi.

ll

ll

THe two got everyone home safely, but Ami, Makoto and Minako actually enjoyed riding with Shingo, since he drove normally and not like a maniac with a death wish.

ll

ll

After the two went home, they went to sleep and the next day, everything was... normal again.

ll

ll

After the girls had left the underground ritual site, their memories were only partially changed. All they remembered about the whole ordeal, was that Rei had left the team and ran away with her father to god knows where.

ll

The detective would talk to each of them again, but with everyone forgetting a majority of what had happened, the Detective was left with no more leads and was forced to label the Hino's crime spree, as a cold case, to sit on the shelf, collecting dust for who knows how long.

ll

ll

But after the heat of the Takeshi Hino controversy died down after a few months, Usagi watched, with memories intact, as her friends lived out happy, normal, young adult lives. They would tell her about the things they were doing, the people they were meeting...

ll

ll

Usagi recalled the recent history that had been told to her as she leaned on the hood of her car, at the beach, looking out at the morning Sun.

ll

ll

ll

Next to her, Mamoru poured each of them coffee into metal cups and stood beside her, the salty breeze blowing by cool air with a hint of sea salt.

ll

ll

(Mamoru) So... do you think it was all worth it?

ll

ll

(Usagi) What do you mean Mamo?

ll

ll

(Mamoru) You're not the only one privileged to remember those events. I remember when you plunged your longsword into Rei, I thought I saw a millisecond of regret in your eyes.

ll

ll

(Mamoru) Don't worry, I promise to never make the others remember. But I have been wanting to ask you for a while, but I wanted to wait for the right moment to ask you.

ll

ll

(Mamoru) So I ask, was it all... worth it?

ll

ll

(Usagi) Well Mamo... Rei was a dear friend to me, and all of the girls... She was the stubborn one, the mean one... but she was also the brave one, the strong one that was there for me when I was weak.

ll

(Usagi) Sure, she would tease the hell outta me in school, but I think that's what made us closer to each other.

ll

(Usagi) I will miss the person she was, before all of this began. But I know for certain... that one day, she'll come back to us. The same person as in this life. Sure, for everyone else, it'll be the first time all over again, but I have to promise myself not to cry in front of the others...

ll

ll

(Mamoru) Will she remember this life? Will she remember what we did to her and what she did to us?

ll

ll

(Usagi) Thankfully not. She'll remember only who she was in this life, but she will remember none of what she did. And I am content with that. But to return the question, do you, regret anything we did?

ll

ll

Mamoru seemed to stare out into the horizon for answers, to which one soon came.

ll

ll

(Mamoru) Although... Although I wish we could've done something to save her, I do not regret a single thing we did. It would be naive to hold on to the sediment that we could've done something different. Because if we had, then we might've never been safe, again.

ll

ll

(Usagi) That's good to hear... but still... I'm gonna miss her for as long as she's gone.

ll

ll

(Mamoru) Me too Usa. Me too...

ll

ll

ll

{Hino's}

ll

After his throat had been slit and heart stabbed, Takeshi Hino watched his daughter's soul leaving the Earth with him. He watched her as she watched him.

ll

ll

He screamed at her in silence as she continued to watch.

ll

ll

He was furious. Why hadn't she done anything to save him!? Why hadn't she defended him and his live with dignity!?
