This is going to explore characters bullying as well as Midoriya having a more significant bullying background. I also want this to concentrate on the relationship and how it evolves, so don't worry you wont have to wait forty plus chapters to get to the fluffy stuff.

all comments and opinions welcome, I want this to grow and be an amazing story but can only do that if I'm told how to improve it.
smut eventually but that's a ways away.

(I own the story, nothing else)

"Get moving! There are no countdowns in real battles! Run, run, run listeners! You're wasting airtime here!" the unmistakable voice of Present Mic rang through the entrance to the exam as he shouted from his viewing station above the arena.

'Ok, defeat the robots worth points, avoid the zero pointer, and figure out how to use a quirk you have never had, let alone used. Yeah, easy..' Izuku Midoriya thought to himself as he gave an exhausted sigh, turning around to face the glasses wearing student that was just belittling him…only to see every student immediately running into the exam arena.

'Crap!' Midoriya tensed before immediately running after the mob of students. "Wait up! Save some villains for me!" Izuku Midoriya was definitely having a bad day.

Midoriya quickly tried to catch up, looking around the Urban area of which the test was to take place. The mock city was a perfect replica of any urban city on the planet, large skyscrapers dotting the skyline, clung together with smaller business buildings. Looking through a café window he could see the insides were even furnished, though no company names or logos could be seen, the school seeming to care more about realism but not nitpick the finer details.

'Ok calm down, ten minutes is a lot of time, and judging by the amount of students there is going to be plenty of those robots to go around. I have All Might's power now, I can do this!' he thought to himself, boosting his own confidence as he strode forward, seeing the students ahead of him spread out into different street's and back alleys.

The noise of crushing metal and demolition can soon be heard, the first few students finding the Faux villains. Midoriya doesn't waver as he continues to run down the street in his casual running attire, seeing destruction around him as dismantled robots litter the landscape. Suddenly a single wheeled bipedal robots flies around the corner, using one of its 'hands to help its turn as it drives full throttle towards Midoriya.

"A one pointer!" Midoriya shouts as he stops running, moving a foot behind him as he tenses, looking at his hand. "Ok, remember what All Might said, clench, an…" before he could finish the robot loomed over him, its emotionless glare piercing Midoriya before its cold, calculated voice spoke. "Target acquired. Commencing attack"

The robot lunged forward, lifting one of its mechanical arms to crush Midoriya into the concrete he stood on…and he couldn't move, tensing his muscles as he was nothing more than a dear in the headlights.

'Holy crap! I'm about to die!' he listed off in his head, his brain blurting out common knowledge being his coping mechanism. As he's self-monologuing the robot is suddenly hit with a bright beam, the robot being cut clean in half as the bolted down plates of armor and circuitry falling apart onto the floor in a shower of mechanical gore.

"got one!" came a very distinct voice, its voice a rich French accent as Midoriya turned to find the source, a petit young man wearing a device around his stomach that was sizzling with the same sparkling energy.

'A laser?!' Midoriya couldn't believe it, already seeing advanced technology used in the test to help with quirks.

"Meci beaucoup! We'd make a great team with you as my decoy. Although, I doubt I'll be seeing too much of you in the future" the strange student said before darting off down the road he came from, leaving Midoriya confused and disappointed in his reaction to seeing his first chance to prove himself worthy of this godly power bestowed upon him. He shakes his head, clearing his head to concentrate on the test.

"Only six minutes and two seconds left!" came the loud voice of Present Mic, the intercom system dotted around the arena as Midoriya realizes how much time he has wasted. He runs past the wrecked robot, heading down the street in a desperate attempt to find the points he needed. He looked around the urban area, seeing different pointed robots destroyed, from a hulking three pointer seemingly melted apart, to a two pointer covered in some kind of tape with its head cleanly removed.

He makes it to a clearing, a large interchange filled with students and destroyed mechs. He looks around and sees a selection of different point robots floating in the sky as the flail about.

"Release!" he heard, turning his head to see a girl closing her palms together as the robots suddenly begin to fall, their own mass turned into a weapon against them as they hurdle to the ground. The robots quickly crash and break apart, the girl left panting. "that should be at least twenty eight points.

"Twenty eight points!?" Midoriya couldn't believe it, seeing different students destroy robots with their own quirks and skills. He began to sink into his own mind, hearing different numbers called out as he began to become overwhelmed, the idea of failing this test setting in his mind as his legs tensed, darting forward for him to run in any direction, just to find any points to help settle is mind.

A few moments passed, the arena slowly beginning to die down with the noise of combat fading. The arena had a new noise overpowering every other sound, high pitched snapping of metal ringing through the arena before the sound of crushing concrete, something was coming, and it sounded like a living earthquake.

Midoriya and the other students looked up, seeing a humongous robotic hand grasp the corner of a building as the hand grips it, crushing the corner in its palm as it lifts itself around the corner, the gigantic zero pointer revealing itself as it looks down at the other students, the debris from the building crashing down to the ground as it launches a large amount of rubble and dust to fill the street. The gigantic robot lifts one of its large arms into the sky, cocking its elbow in as the pistons in its arm give a loud hiss, punching the ground in front of the students as shockwaves of force and rubble hit the children, pushing some back as it begins to moves closer. Its tracked feet giving it a slow, but intimidating movement as its selection of piercing red eyes looks down at the students, instilling every student with fear as they all run towards the exit, some screaming, some shouting for the others to keep up.

The young hero to be collapsed on the floor, looking up at the imposing robot as he tries to crawl away. "Less than two minutes remaining!" boomed the intercom system blared, causing Midoriya to look up at the intercom in distress. "Two minutes!? I'm still at zero points!" he shouted, getting to his feet before looking up at the monstrous zero pointer, only to see its attention was drawn on to a single building on the side of the street. Midoriya followed its gaze to the rooftop of a building, seeing a girl standing on the edge looking up at the robot, fear struck over her face as she stood there motionless, one of the hands of the robot moving towards her.

Midoriya knew he had to do something, how can he call himself a hero if he didn't act now. He felt a surge of power of that he has never felt before as his body began to glow, a red electric surging through his skin as he dug deep, and then…jumped. He jumped higher and faster then ever before, straight towards the zero pointer. His face contorted in agonizing pain, his legs immediately broken from the force of the jump as the flop hopelessly in the wind behind him, but he couldn't think of that right now.

With sheer will and adrenaline as his painkiller, he clenched his fist, feeling that same energy coursing through his arm as the sleeve of his jogging vest immediately disintegrated, the material practically melting off his arm as his bare, toned arm was revealed.

He thought back to the advice his idol and now mentor gave him, reaching the face of the Robot. "So clench your buttcheeks kid, and yell this from the depths of your heart" those words rang through his head before screaming out the word he was told in a vicious war cry.

"SMAAAAAASH!"

Kyoka Jiro was definitely having a bad day.

Her day started rough, realizing she has slept through her alarms, forcing her to quickly get changed and grab the bag she packed before, skipping breakfast as she begins her jog to UA. She was wearing a very comfortable outfit, baggy grey sweatpants with traditional black running shoes, as well as wearing a black sports bra, covered by a black 'Deep Dope' band hoodie, the arrow of the band logo stretching down to the bottom of the hoodie.

When she finally arrived at the building she placed her hands on her knees, leaning forward as she was left panting. She looks up at the entrance of the building, its signature four column design catching her eye before noticing the last few students walking in. she made it, just in time. She quickly walks in, seeing everyone being moved into a waiting room before the main test began.

Jiro couldn't believe how quickly this day was going, regretting not grabbing breakfast as her stomach gives a low growl. They had all just finished the written test, feeling confident in her answers but some left her worried about the final result. She decided it be best not to worry about that now, just having the combat exam explained to them as they walk out to the entrance of the combat field.

She was taking deep breaths, trying to calm her heart rate as she places her hand over her heart, feeling it slowly calm down before hearing a commotion at the back of the crowd of students, looking over to see a small crowd forming, she wished to investigate further before her ears rang, her face contorting in pain as she covers her ears for a second. She looks up at the source of the noise as she see Present Mic in his control tower, the noise affecting her sensitive hearing.

"Get moving! There are no countdowns in real battles! Run, run, run listeners! You're wasting airtime here!" he shouted, Jiro understanding this perfectly as the gates to the arena began to open, not hesitating to start running towards the arena at full speed. She was being pushed and shoved by the other students, the people she would come to call her fellow students, were her current competitors for her dream.

She immediately started investigating the landscape, the concrete jungle offering many different paths. She looked up, noticing movement on the rooftops. She knew what she had to do, diverting and taking a hard right towards an office building.

'The robots on the streets are going to be everyone's main goal, but I bet nobody will be on the roofs! Unless there is someone with a flying quirk..' she thought to herself, chewing on her tongue as she ran up the stairs, running up five flights of stairs before slamming open the door to the roof.

The roof was completely barren, only a few extractor fans for any form of scenery. However the two hulking three pointers looking down on the students were certainly an eyesore. She creeped open the door, moving behind the extractor fan just a few meters away from the robots. Her heart was racing, adrenaline pumping through her veins, which is exactly what she needed. A pumping heart is exactly what she needed for combat, taking a calming breath before hurdling over her cover, slamming her jacks into the ground and placing her hands on the ground. She tenses and concentrates, sending her heartbeat through her jacks and into the ground as a shockwave cascades forward towards the two robots. The concrete below her moved like water, before quickly crumbling under its own stress as the robots stumble, attempting to face Jiro which only made there fall all the faster. They both fell off the side of the building, deep, arguably confused beeping being heard before a loud crushing noise could be heard.

Jiro stood up, panting softly before smiling to herself. "six points already" she said with a grin, turning to look at the other buildings as she saw a series of different pointed robots.

"Only six minutes and two seconds left!" boomed the intercom system, Jiro looking around for her next target.

She quickly moved to the edge, seeing the connecting building as she stopped on the edge of the one she was on. The gap couldn't have been more than a couple feet apart, but that couple feet could have her fall five stories. She didn't have time to react, the one pointer on the roof spotting her.

"Target Acquired. Engaging" it said in its calculated voice before its wheel started wildly spinning, revving itself up as it charges towards her.

She starts running forward, Jumping up and over the gap as she tumbles forward, using her momentum to turn her landing into a quick dive. The robot continued to charge forward. She looked up from her landing, quickly thrusting her jacks forward directly into the robot, her heart racing as the beat pulses through the robotic frame, causing it to spark and shake as it violently shakes apart, the screws coming loose as it falls apart into a pile of scrap.

Jiro fell onto all four, panting as she looked up at the scrap pile in front of her. She sat down on the floor, panting as she caught her breath, wiping sweat off her brow. She removed her jacks from the machinery, hissing slightly in pain, she'd never stabbed something that hard before, the tips of her jacks stinging. She shook her head, pulling down her hood over her head as she got a better look around. She see's a third building in the row of structures, about three stories higher.

She saw her way in, a series of glass windows a floor below her. She looked around, looking at the scrap pile as she smiled, moving to the scrap pile and looking for something heavy. She found the arm panel of the one pointer, the chipped, white number one staring at her as she slings it under her arm and runs to the edge of the building.

She looked down at the floor lower window, gripping the metal plate as she lifts it over her head. With a grunt, she throws it down, watching it as it flies through the window, smashing it with ease.

"Yes! Now I just…need…to jump…" she said, thinking about what she just said as she realized the risks of her action. Her heartrate sped up, looking down at the street below her, multiple students fighting and destroying robots. She shook her head and slapped her cheeks. Now wasn't the time to panic, she had to become a pro hero, and being a pro hero isn't going to be easy. She took multiple steps back, about halfway across the roof before rushing forward, moving one arm in front of the other before placing her right foot on the edge, lunging forward as she begins to fall downwards.

She enters through the window almost perfectly, rolling on her side as she rolls through the broken glass. She lays on her back, looking up at the ceiling as she groans. She looks at her right arm, seeing the sleeve of her hoodie cut and slashed as small cuts cover her forearm. She grimaces at slightly bleeding appendage, knowing they were just small cuts but the sight of her own blood still unnerved her, if only a little.

She coughs, grabbing onto a table edge as she lifts herself up, looking around to see what appears to be a standard office floor, cubicles with computers and chairs as she scans the room. She notices the stairs leading to the upper levels, smiling as she heads towards them, soon reaching the top floor.

She gets to the top of the stairs, seeing that there are no more stairs, she was on the top floor. She could hear movement somewhere on this floor, looking over to the corner of the floor, identically everyway to the previous floors as she moves from cubicle to cubicle. She locates the noise, a three pointer patrolling the windows, eyeing students below it on the street.

'Ok, just got to do what I did with the last one' she thought to herself, getting ready to blast this robot out of the window before hearing a high pitch snapping noise.

What quickly followed was a large, thunderous noise coming from outside as the entire building shook, staying hidden behind the cubicle as Jiro peaks her head around the corner, looking outside. What she saw made her blood run cold.

She saw the torso of a gigantic robot torso, taller than the building she was in as she watched its hand move upwards.

"oh shi-" she cut herself off as she ducked underneath the cubicle table, feeling the robots hand slam down on the corner of her building as the roof cracks and collapses, debris falling around her as she clutches her head, closing her eyes shut as she feels the table protecting her take hit after hit of crumbling roof. Her breathing becomes erratic, panicking as the noise and commotion slowly stops.

She opens her eyes, the light from the sun around her, confusing her as she stands up, using shaking hands to help her up as she turns around. She looks out, a clear hole in the side of the building as sunlight floods in. she looks around, the three pointer gone, most likely destroyed or even fallen out the side of the building. She looks out again, seeing the robot staring back.

She tenses, frozen in fear as the robots face gets closer to the building, placing its robotic hand on the corner of the building as the other moves towards her. She couldn't move, only staring at her impending doom as her heartrate increases, her breathing returning to its erratic pattern as she becomes nothing more than a statue.

Time slows down for her, only able to look at the robot…and watch it as its face crumples like paper…what?

She blinks and focuses back to the world around her, the world returning to speed as the robots back explodes outwards, shrapnel flying outwards as the mechanical limb moving towards her goes slack, hitting the floor of the building before falling out of the building.

She was confused, VERY confused, quickly looking around for any kind of answer to what just happened. She looked higher and found her answer. Above her was a flying green student, but something was off, his legs were to loose and his arm was a deep purple, broken.

She realized what had happened, he just saved her, saved her for no points and broke his body to do it, and because of that he was about to fall twenty stories. She looked around, she had to do something before it was too late.

She looked around, noticing the wires connected to all the speakers. She ran to the edge and realized that the speakers giving the time stamps were on the street. She worked fast, running to the side of the building where she found a junction box, opening it and slamming her jacks into the junction box, grunting in pain as one of her jacks began to bleed, but she couldn't stop now.

She put all of her energy into this last blast, her heartbeat pulsing through the speakers on the street as the soundwave projected upwards. The soundwave of her heart hit the student, pushing him upwards at an arc, heading straight towards her building. She unplugged herself, leaving a small trail of blood as her jack moves behind her. She looked out at the kid, opening his arms as he prepared to catch them.

She caught them, the hit from the student making her fall backwards as she quickly holds onto them tightly.

"Hey you alright?!" she ask, concern filling each word as she looked down at the broken boy in her lap, seeing his legs bent in every position except the ones they were suppose to be in, as well as his purple, heavily bruised arm.

Midoriya looked up, his vision unfocused as he saw Jiro for the first time, seeing her safe just made him smile, before going limp in her arms.

"Times up!" Present Mic shouted, a loud siren going off as the test finally concluded.

"SOMEBODY HELP!" Jiro screamed, her lungs burning for the desperation as she refused to let him go, refusing to let go of the person who saved her.

Midoriya stirred awake, every part of his body hurt as he looked around the room with his groggy eye sight. He was in a sterile room, a medical bed was where he was sleeping before waking slowly. He tried to rub his eyes, but quickly winced in pain as he looked at his arm, wrapped in white bandages in a cast. He sighed and rubbed his eyes with his other hand, remembering the entire event that happened with the test.

He rested his head back onto the pillow, groaning in both pain and disappointment. He could feel his legs and could move them, they hurt but not nearly as much as his arm did.

"Glad to see your awake" he heard to his left, the voice was gentle, a hint of concern behind the words.

He quickly turned to his left, seeing the girl he saved before the test ended, she had a series of plasters on her arm, covering a selection of different sized cuts and bruises as her left earphone jack was completely wrapped up in thin bandaging, the end of it a tinted rose color.

Midoriya didn't know how to respond, a girl actually talking to him was more terrifying than the robots he faced, only nodding with a shaky expression.

Jiro just smiled with a faint chuckle. "You probably don't know who I am, name's Kyoka Jiro, you saved me from the skyscraper of a robot" she explained, her cheeks tinting to a faint rose as she looked away, admittedly embarrassed from the experience.

"O-oh yeah, don't worry I-I remember" he stuttered, his old habit getting the better of him, especially with the situation he was in. "You c-caught me though didn't y-you?" he asked, remembering being caught and held by someone before slipping into unconsciousness.

"Y-yeah but I wouldn't have had to if you didn't save me, you saved my life" she explains, the blush not going away but she at least could look him in the eyes this time, a warm smile creeping on her face as she holds onto her jacks, swirling one around the other as she looks down at them.

'holy crap she's adorable' he thought to himself, a deep blush covering his face as he uses his good hand to block out his blush. "I-it's fine! S-seriously!" he stuttered, waving at her to show it really wasn't a big deal.

"You broke your body just to save me, that isn't nothing ok?" she said, grabbing a pen from her bag as she smiled, clicking it open before writing a series of numbers on his cast. "That is my number, give me a message when you can move, and we can grab some food, talk about the test and stuff, cool?" she ask, another smile on her face as she stood up, lifting her bag over her shoulder before heading to the door, looking back over at him for, waiting for his response.

Midoriya looked down at the number, then back at her before smiling again. "C-cool!" he said, smiling at her.

Jiro gave a satisfied nod before walking out of the medical room, smiling down the corridor the entire way.

Midoriya looked down at the his cast, smiling at the number before a shocked expression covered his face. 'wait…did I just get a girls number? AND THEN GET ASKED OUT ON A DATE?!'
