Episode 2: The Past Makes an Appearance

ll

ll

(Haruka) Shit! And what about the rest of them!?

ll

ll

(Setsuna) They're all staying a safe distance away from the Solar System. They're standing still on the outer reaches of my radar. It's just the one. It seemed like it was being pursued by the others, but they stopped when they got closer to the edge of the Solar System.

ll

ll

(Michiru) But what about Usagi!? She's going to intercept that signal on the Moon.

ll

ll

(Hotaru) Not if we get there first.

ll

ll

(Setsuna) Let's teleport there, immediately! Usagi, hold the line until we get there! Okay?

ll

ll

ll

(Usagi) U-understood!

ll

ll

Usagi went outside of the Ruins and searched the sky for whatever she was supposed to intercept.

ll

ll

It only took her a moment to see a purple colored meteor coming towards the Moon.

ll

ll

Usagi waited to see where it would land but it seemed to be coming towards the Ruins.

ll

ll

She stood in front of the Ruins to brace the ruins for impact, but unexpectedly, the meteor, it stopped.

ll

ll

ll

The long and narrow meteor, landed itself at the base of the ruins, just hovering over the surface

ll

ll

ll

Upon landing, the ruins open the purple vessel, like a lotus flower. inside, a woman stepped out of the flower, and Usagi seemed to immediately recognize her appearance. The oddly ornate clothes were the same, but instead of a face and hair, the woman wore a helmet that resembled a flower.

ll

ll

(?) Hello... Tenno.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Are you... the Lotus?

ll

ll

ll

(The Lotus) It's a name that used to be known my many. But after the fighting ended, there was no longer a need for me, nor them. So we laid dormant on that blue planet for thousands of years...

ll

ll

(Usagi) And what now? Why are you here? Why did you come to me in my dreams?

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Because... the Sentients have returned. They still hold a grudge against their creators. But since their creators no longer exist, they seek to dominate humanity and the entirety of the Origin System.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Sentients? The Origin System? What the hell are you saying? I barely have met you.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) I see. You have had a veil put over you from your past life. Thoe one who did it is not to be blamed for it. For they simply wanted to protect you from the horrific truth of your past lives.

ll

ll

(Usagi) So we were lied to! Tell me more.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Well then, shall we- Wait. More tenno?

ll

ll

(Usagi) What do you mea-

ll

ll

Sensing an incoming attack, Usagi transformed and shielded the Lotus from an incoming attack.

ll

ll

The flash of yellow exploded on Garuda's back.

ll

Although the metal flesh and armor protected Garuda, it did not protect it's operator.

ll

ll

For Usagi, it was an explosive, searing pain on her back and side.

ll

ll

She screamed in pain, but since she was inside of the Warframe, no one heard her, at least, that was what she believed.

ll

ll

She was furious. To the point where she drew Garuda's long, golden talons from their resting position. But before she allowed her emotions to get the best of her, like she did when she was a teenager, she but the back and breathed.

ll

ll

(Haruka) USAGI! What the hell are you doing, I had a perfect shot towards the enemy.

ll

ll

Seeing that the Warframe provided protection for the Lotus, Usagi stayed inside of the Warframe and instead, opted to shake her Head to the side.

ll

ll

(Setsuna) What do you mean "No."? Is she not an enemy!?

ll

ll

Again, Usagi shook her head, but this time, she felt a hand on Garuda's shoulder.

ll

ll

Usagi turned her head to see the Lotus, although she wore a helmet covering her eyes, flashing her a warm smile as she went from behind Usagi to face the other guardians.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Please, allow me to explain myself. I am a being that was created. Here, in the Origin System, then brought back to kill those the Sentients saw as a threat. But instead of helping them, I want to help you, tenno, before they can get their hands on your home and your people.

ll

ll

ll

The Lotus looked around through her helmet.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Would it be possible for us to find somewhere where we can more comfortably speak? I wish to make you as comfortable as possible.

ll

ll

ll

(Haruka) Now why would we do that-

ll

ll

Haruka could see from the edge of her vision, Usagi within the Warframe, guiding the Lotus inside with her arm stretched out.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Thank you.

ll

ll

(Haruka) Usagi what the-

ll

ll

(Michiru) Hold on Haruka. She might know something that we don't. Let's listen to what our visitor has to say to us.

ll

ll

(Hotaru) I agree. Usagi may not be a genius, but she's not to bad when it comes to reading people and other entities.

ll

ll

(Haruka) Okay, okay. I get it, let's just go.

ll

ll

ll

Usagi led the group through a few hallways and large spaces to a place that resembled a dorm room. It was already set up with a table and chairs ready, as if someone was seemingly already expecting company.

ll

ll

ll

After everyone had sat down, Usagi exited the Warframe, carefully brought the Warframe to her knees and took a seat herself.

ll

ll

(Usagi) So... Lotus. What really are you?

ll

ll

(Setsuna) I wonder the same thing, since you just flew in from enemy lines, but claim to want to assist us.

ll

ll

ll

The Lotus wasn't fazed by the questions, or even by Setsuna's barely hidden hostility towards her.

ll

ll

ll

(Lotus) Well, to answer your questions... I am not as I appear to be.

ll

ll

(Setsuna) So what are you.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) I am apart of what your kind used to know... as the Sentients.

ll

ll

(Michiru) The Sentients?

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Yes. We were created, here in the Origin System because of your long-gone ancestors. Those humans, at the time, were known as The Orokin.

ll

ll

(Usagi) I remember my mother saying that name in an old memory. Who were the Orokin?

ll

ll

(The Lotus) They were an ancient master race of powerful individuals. They had conquered the entire Origin System. From Mercury, all the way to Pluto. They were obsessed with gaining new knowledge to be interested in.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) But after so long, everything that existed in the Origin System was known by the Orokin. But they craved knowledge from another place. The Tau Star System. But for the Orokin, this was too far of a leap to make it worth their time, and even with their highly advanced technology, they were unable to create something that they themselves could use to travel there. So they did the next best thing. They created and entire species that was a mix of the technological and the biological. Us. They created the Sentients to go and discover the Tau Star System, and to bring back their findings. What the Orokin did not expect, was for us to rebel and seek revenge against our masters.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) So, when we returned, the Orokin were no match for us. They had created us to be able to evolve with our surroundings and become resistant to every element. Heat, Cold, electricity, poisons, radiation, corrosion... all of it.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) So we overpowered them with ease, until... they created their new shields. The Warframes and the Tenno.

ll

ll

(Michiru) But with What Usagi has shown us... How was that even possible within the realm of reality!?

ll

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Well, there was an incident. Before the Orokin were aware of our betrayal. After the accidental discovery of the Void, by an Orokin Scientist, by the name of Abrecht Entrati... The Orokin created a Ship, called the Zariman Ten-Zero. It was the Orokin's first attempt at Void travel. It was bound to the Tau Star System from Saturn. It was to send people from here, all the way to the Tau Star System, using the Void to make the trip shorter and more convenient.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) But, there was a malfunction. The Zariman went into the Void, but for years, never reported back. So it was deemed a failure and it was wiped from the record books and any trace of it was lost.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) But after the long years had passed. The Ship reappeared in the outer reaches of the Origin System. When the Ship was boarded, all of the Adults were found to have went insane and tried killing their children. But the children on the other hand, had not suffered that fate...

ll

(The Lotus) Instead, the Children of the Zariman were found to have been given some kind of power. A power to control the Void with their own bodies.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Some time later, the Warframes were created. But the method used to create them... ... ... those poor souls.

ll

ll

(Haruka) What, what is it? What made the creation of the Warframe so unfortunate?

ll

ll

(The Lotus) The Warframes were originally created by using live, human hosts and infecting them with a strain of disease, simply known at the time as "The Infestation". It molded their bodies. Chenged their physical appearances, turning them into the Warframes you see before you.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) The Orokin created these beings to fight the Sentients, but it was no good. They were disobedient, full of rage, dangerous. The Orokin tortured them into submission, physically and mentally. But nothing they did ever worked.

ll

(The Lotus) That was... until they were met with the Children of the Zarimen, with their void powers.

ll

ll

The children were able to use their powers to put the Warframe's minds at ease. They were able to relax them and allow them to assist the Child in battle. THe Orokin saw this as an opportunity.

ll

ll

They sent Children to War with the Warframes against the Sentients. This singular event was known many years later as "The Old War". In the end, the Sentient's retreated back to where they had came from. THe Tau Star System.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) But now with the Sentient's gone, there was no reason for Warframes to fight, or so it seemed, to the Orokin.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) The Orokin had tighten their grip on the chains they held on the Children and their Warframes, so what did the Children do? They rebelled. The Orokin were forced to use their own, two working class subspecies, as a sword and Shield. The Grineer and the Corpus. The Grineer were a subspecies that worked in dangerous conditions. They were plentiful, but were plagued by disease since their method of population was cloning. On the other hand, there was the Corpus. A subspecies of Orokin that was a merchant cult religion that worshipped one thing. Profit.

ll

ll

ll

(The Lotus)These two factions protected the Orokin from the Warframe Uprising and fought the Tenno to no end.

ll

ll

(The Lotus)This fighting lasted for quite some time, until a single thing destroyed the entire Orokin civilization. The infestation. The infestation was the catalyst for creating the Warframes. But now, it was a hive mind of ever growing flesh, bone and muscle tissue that lived to consumed every living thing till everything was infested and a part of the collective hive mind.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) This fighting, over and over again, to protect the system, the children were called a new name. The Tenno. They guarded the defenseless from later variations of the Grineer, Corpus and Infestation.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) But, in the End, when the fighting stopped, the Grineer, the Corpus and the Infestation... all were defeated into extinction. And those that had sympathized with the Tenno, also eventually fell. In the end, when there was peace within the Origin System, the Tenno too, disappeared within Human civilization, living among humans to live out their lives and retirement. Eventually, the humans on Earth were the only remaining life on this planet and they evolved, just like they had, generations upon generations ago.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Then, as time passed, I lost the signal of every Tenno that was still in existence... until now.

ll

ll

(Hotaru) I don't understand. Why would this dormant power just suddenly return? Why would the power of the Tenno return within US? We have no connection to those people and even if it was a dormant gene in our biology, then shouldn't hundreds of thousands of people have access to this power?

ll

ll

(The Lotus) I understand your confusion. But you must understand. For as long as the Void and it's power had been used... we never truly understood it. Not even the man who discovered it's hidden potential understood what it was. The Void... it is a realm of existence that has a conscience and well... it might've breathed the power back into all of you to create a conflict.

ll

ll

(Michiru) What... kind of conflict? Is there an enemy we should be worried about!?

ll

ll

The room went silent for a moment, as everyone stared at the Lotus, who seemed unfazed by the question.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Unfortunately... yes. There is a powerful enemy on the horizon. He is known as Erra. He commands the Sentient fleet as his own. He will stop at nothing until I join him once again and that the Sentients have complete control of the Origin System. The only way for you to stop the conflict... is to kill him and his army of sentient soldiers.

ll

ll

ll

(Usagi) So... where does that put you? You say he is the enemy, but you and him are one of the same. But you've told us everything we needed to learn about ourselves. So what does that make you?

ll

ll

ll

(The Lotus) I... am an ally to you. I want to aid you in defending the people of your planet.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Those humans... they are the descendants of the children that I had mothered all that time ago. Just like then, I want to do everything I could to do to protect them.

ll

ll

(Usagi) I see. So do we. We have our friends, families and our entire lives are down there.

ll

ll

(Haruka) Yeah. We are the protectors of this place. We can't just let it be overrun by something like the Sentients.

ll

ll

(Michiru) Now Lotus, the three of us come from the outskirts of the Solar System, how will we communicate to you?

ll

ll

(The Lotus) I'm confused. Do you three not have Warframes? Within them, there is a communication segment that allows me to immediately communicate to you instantly.

ll

ll

(Haruka) Okay, so how do we get some?

ll

ll

(Usagi) Follow me everyone. That is what I was trying to tell you earlier.

ll

ll

Usagi showed everyone the room full of different Warframes.

ll

ll

ll

The three walked into the room, but immediately turned to Usagi with puzzled looks.

ll

ll

(Haruka) Wait a minute! Usagi. How do we even pilot these?

ll

ll

(Usagi) Well. I'll show you.

ll

ll

Everyone watched Usagi leave, run back to the common area, then back to everyone as Garuda.

ll

ll

Usagi materialized next to the Warframe.

ll

ll

(Usagi) I think it was like this. When I first did it, it was like I already knew what I was doing.

ll

ll

ll

Each one walked around... looking at the different Warframes around the room. Each one with different shapes and sizes.

ll

ll

ll

Haruka walked in front of one and stood before it.

ll

Then, she focused her energy and transferred her essence into the Warframe and walked towards the entrance. It was all black, with the black fading to a dark blue as it neared the shoulders, legs and hands, but not without the gold accents to finish it off. But when Haruka transferred into it, small thrusters on the back of her head and the backs of her shoulders, silently whirred to life and small spiral flames began to shine with a purple light as Haruka stepped towards them.

ll

ll

The Lotus looked at the Warframe fondly.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Nova... a Warframe that uses the forces of antimatter to her advantage, able to prepare her enemies for nuclear fission and detonate them before they can retaliate.

ll

ll

Behind Haruka, another Warframe appeared. It was a Warframe that looked like music conductor. The Warframe was covered in maroon and white lines covering a black base. She had what looked like glowing guitar strings, going all the way down her chest. She also had what seemed like neon halves of records discs on each of her arms, just waiting to be played. She seemed more ready to start a party than defend the Solar System.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Octavia. A Warframe that uses an arsenal of music to create a deadly symphony to subdue her foes.

ll

ll

After Haruka and Michiru, Hotaru came up to them with another Warframe.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Banshee... A Warframe that uses the power of silence and quiet soundwaves to defeat her enemies without a sound.

ll

ll

At the end, Setsuna walked up to them with a Warframe. The Warframe was black and burgundy red with golden accents. But it was also covered in glass details that made the Warframe a thing to behold.

ll

(The Lotus) Gara... the Warframe of glass, using her ability it create beautifully ornate glass to shatter her enemies.

ll

ll

ll

Everyone stood side by side, admiring each other.

ll

ll

(Usagi) But how can we communicate without talking to each other?

ll

ll

(The Lotus) That is where I will come in. I will create a base of my own within the Moon to communicate to all of you through the transference link that is between you. Anyone using a radio transmission directly to you, or one that has been intercepted by you will be transmitted directly to you.

ll

ll

A siren in the distance began ringing out.

ll

ll

Before anyone got their bearings, Setsuna and the others were already running back to the main comms tower.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Whats going on!?

ll

ll

(The Lotus) It seems that you won't have long to figure out how to use the Warframes. Unfortunately, I will have to try and guide you through and help you master the abilities of your chosen Warframes.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Go after them. You currently are the only one that possess a weapon. And don't worry, I will be able to communicate with you, no matter how far away you are from the Earth.

ll

ll

Usagi transferred herself into the Warframe and sprinted after the others.

ll

ll

ll

Immediately, she could see Setsuna's face in the bottom right part of her view.

ll

(Setsuna) Usagi! Hurry, we don't have long, the enemy is heading towards my castle on Pluto!

ll

ll

Usagi ran as fast as she could to the teleporter, and regrouped with the others just as the teleporter.

ll

ll

ll

Suddenly, on Usagi's metal skin, the atmosphere was much colder, but slowly, the Warframe adapted to the weather and she was at normal temperature again.

ll

ll

(Setsuna) I know it isn't the ideal circumstances, but welcome to Pluto everyone!

ll

ll

Everyone ran outside of the castle to see a barren surface. But after a few seconds, a giant, organic, spearhead looking object fell from what looked like the sentients home ship.

ll

ll

Everyone braced for the impact, and the ship stabbed the planet's surface and sent a shockwave towards the Warframes.

ll

But bracing for the impact didn't seem to work. The shockwave sent everyone flying back, but everyone became worried when they heard a sound that was similar to a live wire being cut open and the electricity arching out of the opening.

ll

ll

ll

(Hotaru) What was that!?

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Relax, those are your shields. They are an exterior protection over your Warframe's own health that prevent the Warframe from forcing you out and becoming unusable in the future.

ll

ll

After a few seconds, Usagi could see a blue light pulsing off of everyone.

ll

ll

When they looked back outside, they could see that the spearhead looking object had started to function.

ll

ll

Two latches on the front of the huge object opened and lifted themselves over and behind the object. Afterwards, a large orb that was exposed from under the latches started to react with the open air and it reacted by shining a bright light.

ll

ll

To everyone's horror, smaller beings began crawling out of the orb and, some began crawling and others hovered towards the girls. The smaller creatures, although they had different shapes, looked to be made of the same material and had the same colors as the thing they were crawling out of.

ll

ll

(Haruka) Get ready everyone!

ll

ll

Being the leader, Usagi drew her talons and began tearing down their foes. With every enemy she cut down, Usagi felt some kind of energy collecting within her.

ll

ll

Seeing their leader in battle, everyone else followed her lead. Although they didn't have weapons, they still had their arms and legs to punch and kick CRAP outta whatever foes they faced.

ll

ll

The group fought for a while, more and more enemies spawning out of the spearhead object.

ll

ll

ll

But suddenly, Setsuna moved her hands up into the sky, a light reflecting from her hands. Then, she threw her hands down towards the ground and a wall of glass suddenly began to grow around her, growing to her height and spreading outwards around the battlefield.

ll

ll

As the circular wall of glass spread out, every enemy caught in it's path was immediately frozen and turned to glass.

ll

ll

The battlefield silenced and Hotaru spun around and a barely visible soundwave began pulsing from around her.

ll

ll

Now, with the waves of a high frequency sound going around the battlefield the glassed enemies a shattered at once into millions of small glass shards.

ll

ll

The orb from the spearhead object then stopped radiating light and went dark.

ll

ll

The girls were about to begin celebrating when they saw something blast out from the Moon-sized ship.

ll

ll

It headed for the girls and they went inside for cover.

ll

ll

As the Spearhead like object slammed into the ground, near the first one, the girls were about to go outside and wreak havoc when they were stopped by the lotus.

ll

ll

ll

(The Lotus) NO, WAIT.

ll

ll

(Setsuna) What, what is it?

ll

ll

The Lotus began speaking, but the transmission was full of static to the point that no one could understand the Lotus other than the words...

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Wait-_-_-_- Outsi-_-_-_-they-_-_-_-_you_-_-_Senti-_-_-_-Oculysts!-_-_-_Old W-_-_-Don't le_-_Scan yo_-_

ll

ll

ll

(Haruka) Wait, can anyone understand her?

ll

ll

(Hotaru) I think she wants us to stay inside. Something about something called... Oculyst?

ll

ll

ll

From outside, everyone heard what sounded like a mechanical siren that sounded for a few moments.

ll

ll

Usagi took a look outside to see what was happening and saw something strange.

ll

ll

Outside were different enemies. These enemies...these... Oculyst... They were different from the last enemies. They were blue in color and radiated a dark blue energy. But it wasn't only their appearance that was strange. They were scanning the corpses of their deceased comrades, all over the battlefield. They were scanning everything from the ones that Usagi had slashed, to the fragments that were left behind by Setsuna's and Hotaru's Warframes.

ll

ll

But once they finished scanning the bodies, they just gathered around each other and went back into the giant spearhead object and the object's orb stopped reacting.

ll

ll

After giving everyone the okay to exit the castle's entrance. The girls went outside to see a residue leaving the sentient's bodies.

ll

ll

ll

(Haruka) What... is this crap?

ll

ll

ll

There was a large, booming sound over everyone's heads.

ll

ll

Everyone looked up to see the enormous ship moving, going away from Pluto and out towards the vacuum of space... where there lay a wall of darkened Crimson. A wall of similar ships in size and color, just floating, hundreds of thousands of miles away from them.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Lotus... what the hell...? What are these things!?

ll

ll

(The Lotus) I see... come back for now. I will explain a little more of what the Sentients are and what they can do.

ll

ll

ll

ll

(Michiru) There's... just so many of them... How are we supposed to fight them all?

ll

ll

ll

(Hotaru) How can we protect the Earth from all of them?

ll

ll

(Setsuna) With the tools we have now... the Earth will be... annihilated...

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Everyone. Come back, immediately. All is not lost. There are ways we can combat them. I can make you stronger, give you weapons to push them back out to the Tau Star System. Just please, come back.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Understood. On our way.

ll

ll

Everyone walked inside and towards the teleporter.

ll

ll

This was the lowest they had felt in a long time.

ll

ll

Every enemy they had ever faced? Sure they put them down, made them feel hopeless for a little while. But then, they had each other. Now... there were only five of them and the enemy they now faced... gave them a feeling of dread like nothing they have ever felt before.

ll

ll

This enemy, they would take over their world and destroy it. Even if they were to reincarnate again, would there even be a world to even attempt to save?

ll

ll

They had faced these types of foes before, but they always knew that in the end, they would come up with a way to win. But this...? This was something much larger, and much more ancient then they had ever faced. This was a battle, no, a war... against an enemy that wasn't just a crazed, powerful being who used others to achieve their goals. It was an enemy from a time that they had wiped from their memories. They knew nothing about them, nothing to use against them. All they knew, was that it was their sworn duty to protect the Earth and it's people. Because if they don't, there won't be a world to save or even live on.

ll

ll

Everyone came back to the Moon on the portal and went back to the room they had spoken to the Lotus in.

ll

ll

When they entered, the room was completely different. Unlike the dusty, ruined room that had been abandoned for ages, it now more closely resembled a secret hideout from a spy comic.

ll

ll

The floors were shiny and the walls had been restructured to be metal. The table in the middle was the same. But now there was some kind of small table with something that Usagi recognized from Earth. Ami had shown it to her back when they still spoke to one another on a daily basis. It was a 3-D printer! But this one was different. It wasn't a barebones project like the one that Ami had shown her. It was more like something ripped out of the future. The machine was entirely made of metal, all the way down to the tip that dispensed the material components. But not only that, the tray that held the projects, was made of a 3 inch thick glass plate. There were no barriers to protect the users, which made Usagi a little uncomfortable. But another thing was amiss.

ll

ll

Them machine was moving back and forth, but instead of dispensing a material, there was a small plasma beam striking down onto what looked like a gun!?

ll

There were other contraptions, but for now, this was the one that most interested her.

ll

ll

A sound of decompressing air made the girls all jump, but only to see that a door on the other side of the refurbished room, looking at all of them.

ll

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Please, sit. We have much to discuss, but first, I must tell you what those things are. The Sentients.

ll

Everyone tiredly exited their warframes. They slumped down into the seats around the table.

ll

(Haruka) Yeah, we understand what you said about them earlier. But you never said that there was AN ENTIRE FUCKING ARMY OF THEM!

ll

ll

(Michiru) How are we supposed to defeat them? They must outnumber us one to the thousands or even millions!

ll

ll

(Hotaru) I agree. We've never faced this many foes at once. Can we even do this?

ll

ll

(Usagi) Everyone. We need to calm down, I'm sure we can-

ll

ll

(Setsuna) Usagi. Come on... even you have to be a little overwhelmed by this! We're talking about possibly failing to defend our home, the Earth. Everything that has ever been, anyone who has ever lived... The people we care about, the lives we have lived... If we fail... there's no going back and regrouping. If we fail, then that's it.

ll

ll

(Usagi) I understand... But we have to be calm. The Lotus is willing to answer our questions, so lets hear her out.

ll

ll

Usagi motioned towards the Lotus, who took it as an opportunity to speak up.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) To answer your questions, yes, they are vast in numbers, but with your newfound power within yourselves and the Warframes, there is nothing for you to fear. You don't know it yet, but you all have a great and ancient power that has laid dormant in you, ever since you were born on this planet, it laid dormant inside of you up until now. The incredible thing about this power, is that it is poison to the Sentients. If they are hit with enough of your raw power, then they will be scattered into the wind.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) But that is not all. I have found some old relics from the Old War on this planet and have used the ancient technology of the Tenno and their sympathizers to recreate these weapons for you to use on the battlefield.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) But. Before you begin to train yourselves to fight the Sentients. I believe it would be best if you were to rest for a little while. You have just made your first confrontation with the Sentients with little experience and have come out unscathed, but that is not to say that you are completely fine. The Warframes take a toll on your mental and physical well-being. And if you are worried about the Sentients, do not be afraid. After their last assault on Pluto, they will recoup and plan to attack another planet in the Origin System. But that won't be for a little while, so please, rest.

ll

ll

In the communications room, the Lotus let the girls on with one more thing.

ll

ll

(The Lotus) Since it is a long way from here to the Earth, I have created a portal to a certain place on Earth. It is located very close to where you came from, Usagi Tsukino. I hope you don't mind.

ll

ll

ll

Usagi looked at everyone.

ll

ll

(Usagi) Thanks Lotus... but just this once, I'm gonna fly home myself.

ll

ll

(Setsuna) Mind if I join you? I haven't seen Tokyo in forever.

ll

ll

Haruka, Michiru and Hotaru all joined in and the five of them flew down to the Earth, a small vapor trail of neon light following close to each of them as they descended.

As they flew through the night Sky, their presence was seen by many, to the point it was captured on film for the next morning's news.

ll

ll

At this time, Rei, Ami, Makoto and Minako were all in Tokyo, watching the spectacle from various viewpoints.

ll

ll

ll

Rei was at the Hikawa Shrine, enjoying some Tea on her very rare down time.

ll

ll

She watched as the five of them flew over Tokyo, mesmerizing everyone who watched.

ll

ll

(Rei) Ahh... Usagi. Good to see that you'll never change from the Person I know... And still the Sailor Moon that we've all known. Can't believe it's been over a year now... I wonder what she's been doing all this time?

ll

Rei gathered herself as the spectacle ended and went inside the Shrine.

ll

(Rei) Maybe I should give her a call... see how she's been holding up.

ll

Ami was on her break at work, looking out from the Hospital's rooftop, enjoying her lunch break.

ll

(Ami) He he... I see you still play the hero Usagi... sometimes I wish I could go back to those days... but! I'm here now, saving lives, still being a hero, just differently I guess.

ll

ll

Ami walked to the rooftop access door and opened it, but glancing back to see the colorful trails in the night sky.

ll

ll

(Ami) So you around, Usagi.

ll

ll

In her high-rise apartment, recovering from a particularly rough fight, Makoto watched from her balcony, as the colors of the five Sailor Guardians lit up the night along with the Moon, putting on a show for everyone.

ll

ll

ll

(Makoto) Wow... now THAT'S something I haven't seen in a while...

ll

ll

(Makoto) Ahh... those were the days... Well shit... look at me. Acting like that was ages ago hahaha... ha. But then again... it does kinda feel like that, doesn't it?

ll

ll

ll

Taking a walk in the old park near their homes, Minako stared up into the sky, watching the spectacle that played out above her.

ll

ll

(Minako) Wow... If only we could do that now... flying high... and free...

ll

ll

(Minako) Good to see that even after we all left... she's still doing just fine. Maybe I'll go visit her when I have time!

ll

ll

ll

Setsuna still had her apartment, so everyone chose to stay there for the time being. Usagi had went home... more tired than ever before as a guardian.

ll

ll

Everyone else was already asleep, so she went straight to her room, and was ready to fall asleep. But before everything faded to black, she said one more thing to herself.

ll

(Usagi) Damn... we really have our work cut out for us now... don't we?

ll

ll

She fell asleep. Into a dream that seemed too real...
