"It's nice to see you Daddy!" Iola hugged Sirius as he helped her pack her things, "are you sure I have to go? I've really liked it here other than Snape being around."
"I just don't want you around Dumbledore right now," Sirius responds, shrinking her suitcases, "he's delusional. He thinks Voldemort is still alive, and has plans to "fight" him. Snape will also still be in the castle, and I don't trust him around you at all."
"I guess," Iola sighed, "at least let me say goodbye to my friends."
"I'd never take that from you," Sirius helped her off her bed, "I'll come with. Who are your friends?"
"Well," Iola began, "I have three ravenclaw friends, Anthony Goldstein, Padma Patil, and Terry Boot, two gryffindor friends, Ron Weasley and Lavender Brown, a slytherin friend named Lily Moon, and my Roommate Sally Perks."
"We have another son!" Molly Weasley hugged her husband, "you hear that Arthur?!"
"Yes I did," Arthur reassured his wife, "it's great news."
"I hope you'll still owl them," Sirius smiled, "but the way my plan is going, you'll be able to mirror call them soon."
"Really!" Iola hugged Sirius, "you're the best! Let's go find the Ravenclaws first!" Sirius held Iola's hand as she ran through the halls.
"She's so much like you," Lydia whispered to Benjy, "that gentleness isn't from me, and certainly not Siri."
"I honestly think Dorcas must have rubbed off on her," Benjy whispers back, "she can't really act like us. She never even met me, so how can she act like me? Her behavior may parallel mine, but she's acting like someone who had an active participation in her life. It could be someone other than Dorcas, but Dorcas seems to be a good option."
"I guess you're right," Lydia sighed, "I just wish that she could be acting like us. That we were there to be there for her."
"I know," Benjy says, looking for words to comfort her, "but we're not the only ones. Frank and Alice don't raise their son and the Bones family never gets to raise their families. I'm just happy that our girl has Sirius there to be her backbone."
"I guess," Lydia smiles, "thank you Benjy."
"Aren't you forgetting something?" Sirius grinned, waving a seemingly worthless piece of parchment at her, "would you like to do the honors?"
"Pads!" Lydia bounced over to Sirius, who had stood up to do the same, "Do you think?"
"Yes!" Sirius shouted, spinning Lydia, "our legacy will be fulfilled!"
"Oh!" Iola's face was full of glee, "hand it over." Sirius hands the parchment to her, and she waves her wand over it. "I solemnly swear I am up to no good!" Ink bleeds onto the parchment, and the MARAUDER'S MAP appears. Iola opens it, and looks for her friends, locating them outside.
"You two made that?" Lily asks, astonished, "That's an amazing achievement. Hogwarts is supposed to be unplottable."
"I agree with Ms. Evans," Professor Flitwick squeaked, "it's an incredible piece of magic. Is it possible I can see it?"
"We didn't make it ourselves," Sirius confessed, "Pandora Fawley helped, and so did Remus."
"Although you two did do most of the work," Pandora smiles, "I only helped a little."
"We wouldn't have been able to do it without you," Lydia assures her, "certainly not in the timespan we did it. We add to it constantly, finding more and more passages, nooks, and crannies."
"Isn't that a breach of privacy?" A third year slytherin, Janet Pollit, asked worriedly, "I don't think I like that very much."
"Fair enough," Lydia shrugged, "nothing like it existed until now, so there's no laws against it. If you want to make a big deal out of it, knock yourself out."
"Hey guys," Iola greeted her friends as she approached them, "I just came to say goodbye."
"You're leaving?" Padma asked sadly, "I'm going to miss you."
"I'll owl you," Iola promised, "and you can come over to my house during the holidays for a visit, I'm sure my father won't mind? Do you mind Daddy?"
"I don't mind at all," Sirius reassured, "all your friends are welcome."
"You're the Grim Reaper!" Terry shouted, "That's so cool! Is it true that you can turn into a dog?!"
"You're an animagus?!" Orion was pleasantly surprised, "it will be an excellent asset for our family. You will do good to inform me of such things next time."
"I'm not part of your family," Sirius spat at him, "and what I do is none of your concern. You don't care about me, only what it could do for you."
"I certainly can," and Sirius shifted for the kids, all of them oohing and aahing, "it's not something I would recommend you doing. Especially not illegally like me."
"Then how come you're not in azkaban?" Padma asked cleverly, "that's the punishment."
"I got it pardoned as a wartime exemption," Sirius says casually, "too dangerous to register with death eaters around. Needed it to escape my parents attempting to kill me. That kind of thing."
"Not surprised you tried to off me," Sirius says, still hurt despite it all, "you've never loved me, have you?"
"I could never love a blood traitor like you," Walburga spat, "I haven't loved you since you refused to push those muggleborns into the fire."
All the people in the hall who had dismissed Sirius Black, had called him cruel, rude, and mean, suddenly got a new appreciation for the boy. He went against the current, his parent's hateful bigotry, and rose above it, becoming something new.
"Oh," Padma blushes, "sorry for reminding you about that."
"It's all good," Sirius waves her apology off, "I got them back eventually."
"Stop being scary," Iola told her father, "you'll cause me to have no friends."
"Wouldn't want that to happen," Sirius smiled, "now go stand with your friends. I'll take some pictures." Iola posed for a few pictures, before saying goodbye to her friends.
Iola and Sirius find Lily in the library, and there is a quiet goodbye between the two. Iola promises to send her a list of books to read, and Lily promises the same in return.
"Next we have to find Ron and Lavender," Iola explains to her father, "they're not really friends, so they'll probably be in separate places." Surprisingly, the two were just in the common room, and Neville and Susan let them into the common room.
"Are you both packed?" Sirius asked, "or do you need some help? Your guardians will slit my throat if I don't help."
"I must certainly would," Augusta lectured Sirius, "in fact, there was this one time with Algie that-"
"Sirius doesn't want to hear such a story," Frank shushed his mother, "let's continue."
"I'm fine Uncle Sirius," Neville said sweetly, "but I think Susan would like some help shrinking her things."
"Well I can't get up to the girl's dormitory," Sirius thought aloud, "so I'll shift, and walk up. The magic doesn't recognize animal's genders. You go say goodbye, little star."
"That is slightly concerning," Mary McDonald said softly.
"I've never gone up to your dormitory," Sirius said blushing, "and I don't plan on going. Although it's probably not the end of the world, because you girls are always in our dorms."
"Yes Daddy," Iola bounced over to Ron, "SURPRISE!"
"Aah!" Ron screamed frightened, making his friends, Dean and Seamus laugh, "why'd you do that Iola?"
"Because it was fun," she smiled, "I'm going to miss you Ron. You're the funniest kid I've met in my life. And I've met Rolf Scamander."
"Scamander you say," Newt smiles at his wife Tina. They'd be conversing quietly with Fleamont and Euphemia during these films , and hadn't felt like making much of a fuss. "You think that's Nico's?"
"Probably," Tina says, and pokes her son on the shoulder, "got a girlfriend you haven't told us about?"
"Yes," he answers bluntly, "her name's Maria De Moreas. I met her during my trip to Brazil. I was going to introduce her to you next week."
"Oh my goodness," his sister, Lyetta, freaks out, "my brother has a girlfriend."
"That's nice dear," Tina tells her son, "we're so happy for you. Aren't we Newt?" Tina nudges her husband, who had spaced out.
"Definitely," Newt reassures his son, "so long as she doesn't work in an office." After a nudge from Tina, he mended his speech. "I guess it's okay if she works in an office."
"Thanks Dad," Nico replies sarcastically, "glad I have your permission."
"I don't know who you're talking about," Ron says before hugging her, "but thanks."
"I can't believe you're leaving already!" Lavender gives her a very tight hug, running down from her dorm, "you've only just got here."
"My father says it's not safe for me," Iola tells her sadly, "and he'd right. It really isn't safe for there to be a mentally unstable, grudge holding, death eater who's out for my blood because he hated my mom loitering at my school."
"I hate that you have to leave because of that," Lavender spoke maturely, "but in the name of you safety, I can handle it. I hope you'll come back one day."
"So do I Lav," Iola hugged her, "so do I."
Sirius and Iola leave the common room with Neville and Susan, and head to Lily and Remus's quarters to floo home.
"You sure you don't want to accept my offer," Sirius asked Remus as they got ready to floo.
"I'm sure," Remus assures him, "I'm planning on writing a book, and Lily got an offer to write the charms section of the Quibbler. She hopes to help make it a little more reliable."
"I'm glad Xeno and Dora got your backs," Sirius clapped Remus on the back, "you two just need to focus on that kid. Can I secure godfather rights?"
"Lily wants to ask Aurora Sinistra to be the godmother," Remus tells Sirius, "so I highly doubt that you being godfather would work."
"Me?" Aurora asks, "but I barely know Lily?"
"Maybe you'll know each other in the future," her friend Flora suggests.
"Still don't understand why she hates me so much?" Sirius mutters under his breath.
"You know why," Remus laughs, "you just don't want to admit it."
"And I will continue to do so," Sirius huffs, "bye Remus."
"Bye Padfoot," Remus bids farewell.
"Potter Manor!" Sirius shouts after the kids leave.
"They live in Potter Manor?" Euphemia questions, "I guess that makes sense."
"Hello Sirius," Regulus appears, "you're late."
"For what?" present Regulus wondered.
"My bad," Sirius isn't really sorry, "I still don't understand why you need my opinion."
"Because everyone else we know is old," Cathy Green says bluntly, "or has horrible taste. And yes, I am referring to Amelia and Lily."
"Harsh," Sirius said, "but so true. Can we discuss this after the kids get settled back home?"
"Fine," Regulus sighed, "Kiddos, go get unpacked."
"Yes Uncle Reggie!" The kids clambered out the room, and Regulus smirked.
"Now that that's taken care of," he said confidently, pulling out a big folder, "wedding planning."
"I thought I'd never have to do this again," Sirius grumbled, "especially after I planned practically everyone I know's wedding."
"Which is why you'll do mine," Regulus says arrogantly, "because I'm your brother."
"Yeah," Sirius said, "the same way Remus is my brother."
"Huh?" Remus wondered, "how is that possible? Regulus is Sirius's brother by blood. If anything, I'd be a brother in arms."
"It worked Daddy," Lydia danced in her spot, "I love every confirmation."
"What stuff is she on?" Barty whispered to Regulus, "and where can I get some?"
"Are you going to dismiss our shared years of torment at Walburga's hand?" Regulus mock faints.
"Never," Sirius joins the act, "I apologize. I can't believe those words ever left my lips. Let me rectify that." Sirius grabs Regulus, and crushes him in a big hug, swaying from side to side.
"Seems you change," Stefan Greengrass, an upper year student tells Regulus, "and you look a lot happier there."
"I do, don't I," Regulus laughs to himself, "I guess Sirius has been right all along. I just don't understand how."
"Back to planning," Cathy snaps her fingers, causing the two to stand like soldiers and salute, "and I don't want any trouble-making. Understood?"
"Yes ma'am," Sirius salutes his sister-in-law to be, before mock whispering to Regulus, "why'd you have to go for the ex-military girl?"
"I heard that Sirius," Cathy smiles darkly, "expect retribution."
Sirius swears, before running from the room, "Curse you!" he shouts, "why'd you have to go to the Army?"
"Because my Dad was a veteran!" she shouted as she hexed him, "and believes that we witches and wizards could use a bit of discipline."
"You think you have it rough?" Regulus laughs at his brother, "I have a 6 foot six, ex-military, gun wielding, overprotective man for a father-in-law. The no-maj's won't even charge him for my murder, because Cathy'd use magic to cover it up."
Gasps were heard in the hall. This was practically confirmation. Regulus Black was not marrying a pureblood.
