"Abominus!"Rippersnapper,Twinstrike and Windrazor shouted in unison as they and Blight pulled away from their dance partners and formed up on Hun-Grrr and then they transformed and combined,Hun-Gurrr formed the torso, Blight formed the left leg, Rippersnapper formed the right leg,Twinstrike formed the left arm and Windrazor forme the right arm. Everyone froze in shock,awe and terror at the giant monster robot towering over them, casting an ominous shadow over the battlefield, Shockwave stated at the behemoth known as Abominus with absolute amazement as he remembered that he did other things to these specific clones like give them the ability to combine.
"Holy Sh...!"Paddles exclaimed as Abominus let out a mighty primal roar shaking the forest itself "Abominus destroy!"Abominus roared as it looked at the Dinobots picking which one to smash first although Grimlock was surprised by this but he wasn't intimidated "Ok we faced combiners before!"Grimlock shouted "Yeah, Devastator and Bruticus,not whatever this thing is!"Swoop exclaimed as he hovered over Abominus "All Decepticon combiners are the same and have the same weakness: low intelligence!"Scorn declared tightening his grip on his sword.
The other Dinobots could agree on that fact and decided to try and bring down Abominus however they had other problems as well in the forms of Lazerback, Darksteel and Serket, "Hey don't forget about us."Darksteel said as Laserback transformed into Dragon mode and fired a beam at the Dinobots striking the ground causing them to scramble and Darksteel charged at them tackling Slam, as Lazerback continued firing at the Dinobots.
Then with a bellow Lazerback charged at Grimlock and swung his tail at him but Grimlock brought his shield and blocked the attack although the force sent him flying backwards. Slash struggled under Serket as she growled in her face "Ugh,ahh!"Slash groaned as she tried to push Serket off her but she was too heavy, Darksteel punched out Slam then Slug before his sights went to Sludge who had his focus on Abominus until he noticed Darksteel glaring at him then he transformed into his Ursagryph mode and charged towards Sludge and pounced on him but Sludge was able to hold him at bay due to his own strength and then he glanced at Serket and he did a little spin and then chucked Darksteel directly at Serket colliding into her causing them both to fly 20 yards away.
Now Laserback went on the attack again bulldozing Snarl,Slug,Slam before getting to Scorn who was in his Spinosaurus mode stood his ground against the predacon, both of them snarled at each other and then Lazerback swung his tail at Scorn which proved to be a gigantic mistake as Scorn bit down on his tail causing the Predacon to howl in pain then Scorn swung him around and then he tossed him into Serket and Darksteel who were just getting up only to be knocked down again.
"Now let's focus on the big guy,hit him with everything you've got!"Grimlock ordered as everyone who had blasters fired on Abominus who roared as he was being peppered with blaster fire Swoop dive-bombed a couple of missiles directly into the monster's head making him try to swat Swoop out of the sky. Slash stopped firing at Abominus as she saw that there wasn't exactly any damage being done to his body they were only angering him, "Grimlock I don't think we're doing anything to him!"Slash said as she saw Abominus raise his massive foot and the Dinobots scrambled as he brought it down with a massive boom sending dust and shockwaves in all directions.
Paddles looked up at Abominus and pointed his blaster at him to try to hurt him again but then Abominus looked down at the Dinobot and picked him up in his massive hands alarming the other Dinobots. "Paddles!"Sludge said as he pointed his blasters at Abominus "Put him down!"Grimlock roared getting into a fighting stance as Paddles struggled in the grip of Abominus.
Abominus looked at Grimlock and then Paddles and then he cocked back his arm and then he threw Paddles into the infinite horizon, Paddles screamed as he tumbled through the air going at an unknown speed, then he suddenly saw blue and realized that he was heading towards the open sea, Paddles braced himself as he splashed down into water and began sinking to the bottom.
"Paddles!"the Dinobots cried as they watched their teammate get thrown away like garbage,now Grimlock was really mad as he growled viciously "You'll pay for that monster!!!"He roared and was about to charge at Abominus ready to tear him apart by himself but he was held back by Sludge and Scorn "No Grimlock,we should fall back and regroup!"Sludge said seeing that this was a losing battle and they needed to think of a new strategy "Move aside!"Grimlock said trying to push past them but they wouldn't let him.
"Damnit Grimlock listen to me,we need to retreat!"Sludge said making Grimlock glance between Sludge and Abominus and decided reluctantly to call for a retreat "Dinobots retreat!"Grimlock announced as the Dinobots started to run past Abominus and ran into the forest. "Yeah that's right run Dino losers!"Darksteel laughed as Shockwave watched them disappear into the forest.
Abominus then split down into the Five Predacon components they all laughed as this round went to the bad guys although one of them wasn't finished fighting "We aren't going to let them just escape are we, we have them on the run let's finish them off!"Laserback declared hungry for battle.
"No Laserback let them lick their wounds."Shockwave said sinisterly "What?!"Laserback said not understanding Shockwave's logic "It's all about timing Laserback,the Dinobot's destruction will come just not right now, besides i have more important things to focus on right now." Shockwave said as Laserback growled he hated being bossed around by a cybertronian that's practically food even though Shockwave made him in a lab Laserback is still stronger than Shockwave.
And he was about to prove it until Hun-Grrr stepped in front of him "Don't you dare Laserback,like it or not he's our ally." "oh don't tell me you're gonna take orders from him,our fearless and mighty leader?"Laserback asked in a mocking tone Hun-Grrr narrowed his eyes as Shockwave watched with interest as Hun-grrr stood his ground against Laserback "do you have a problem with my leadership Laserback?"Hun-Grrr asked clenching his fist "i think you know where i stand on your leadership."Laserback said with contempt in his voice.
Hun-Grrr nodded his head "Yes i do, i hear you mumbling under your breath every time i give an order you don't seem to like,if you don't like my leadership you can either leave or..."Hun-Grrr pulled out his dragontooth saw making everyone stand back a little bit "you can try to relinquish me of my command yourself."Hun-Grrr said with visible aggression in his voice challenging..no..daring Laserback to try something...anything, Laserback stared down at Hun-Grrr for a few seconds before letting out a huff and then he stomped away.
"Alpha male,i like him."Serket said eyeing Hun-Grrr up and down Shockwave was impressed with Hun-Grrr display of dominance he also made a mental note to watch Laserback closely as possible as something about him reminded him of Starscream, especially with the way he challenged Hun-Grrr like that, one Starscream in the Decepticons is enough, he didn't need one in the Predacons.
Meanwhile
The Dinobots continued walking towards their bace completely battle weary and concerned with Paddles, "Paddles,do you think...?"Slash asked the dreaded questions Is Paddles dead? "Don't think like that,even though I've known him for a few days Paddles is tough."Scorn said holding on to hope while he was worried about Paddles he was also more concerned about the Predacons they just fought "where in the allspark did those guys come from?!"Swoop asked "How did they get on this planet?"Sludge asked and the Dinobots began to think about it and a few theories came to mind.
"Wait you don't think Brainstorm created them?"Slug asked curiously "No no Emberblaze was the only one he made I'm sure of it."Sludge said "Maybe he lied?"Swoop suggested "i don't care who made them and how they got here, they presence raises the danger factor, one Predacon is tough enough, but 8, plus Shockwave and Flatline that makes 10 we're out numbered people!"Slam said "Since when did Flatline count as a threat?"Snarl asked.
"Guys we can overcome this, we can defeat them,we just need to come up with a plan, right Grimlock?"Sludge asked Grimlock who continued walking not saying a word "Grimlock?"Slash called out in concern it was then Grimlock started to powerwalk further a head much to the newer Dinobots confusion and concern.
However to the veteran dinobots they knew what was wrong Grimlock was upset that they lost a battle and was forced into retreat something Grimlock hated doing, Grimlock never ran or backed down from a fight even though it was smart to do so, no Grimlock is stubborn like that and that always nearly got him killed.
