Episode 159: Here's Lookin' at You Elekid!

Still journeying to bring Larvitar back to Mt. Silver and the Johto League Silver conference, Mew and her friends find a quiet moment to kick back, relax, and enjoy a bite to eat. Everyone is sitting as they have sandwiches, fruits, water, and for the pokemon, Pokemon food and berries.

Larvitar is happily chowing down.

Misty leans to Larvitar, "Is that good, Larvitar? It looks great!"

However, Larvitar Hardens up again, much to Misty's dismay.

"Well, guess it still doesn't like me," Misty says.

"Don't worry. It'll warm up eventually," Brock says.

Zeraora nods in agreement.

"Papa said it will just take a while," Mew says.

"But I still have to wonder what happened to it," Jen says.

Suddenly, they hear rustling in the bushes.

"Hey, what is that?" Mew wonders.

They soon see the tip of a Pokémon's head.

"Is that a Pokemon?" Molly asks.

"And it looks familiar," Mew says.

Soon, an Elekid pops out from the bushes.

"Hey, look! It's an Elekid!" Brock says.

"Cool," Mew says and brings out the Pokedex.

Dexter says, "Elekid, the Electric Pokémon. An Electric Type. Elekid is the pre-evolved form of Electabuzz. It generates electricity by spinning its arms."

The Wild Elekid soon snatches a piece of Pokemon from Larvitar and tears it. Everyone is shocked.

Misty scolds the Pokemon, "Wait! You give that back, it belongs to Larvitar!"

This makes Pikachu and Eevee angry to see Elekid stealing Larvitar's food. Elekid begins to attack. Pikachu and Eevee begin a counterattack.

"Hang on, you guys! Stop!" Mew calls out.

However, Zeraora gets between them and gets shocked by the electric attacks, but it's not harmed at all. Everyone sighs in relief.

"Glad Zeraora is able to stop it," Molly says.

Elekid then turns its attention to Larvitar and brags to it, when a net suddenly comes down snaring them both.

"Larvitar!" Mew cries out.

"Pika!" (Elekid!) Eevee cries out.

It's revealed that it was really Team Rocket's doing.

"We're takin' dese two wit us!" Meowth says.

"So, say goodbye!" Jessie says.

"Yes, goodbye and good riddance!" James adds.

"Not so fast!" Mew says. Then calls out, "Bayleef, let's go! You too, Elekid!

With that, Bayleef and Elekid out of their Pokemon.

"Bayleef, Razor Leaf on the net! Elekid, use thunderbolt on the Balloon!" Mew calls out.

Bayleef tries to attack the net, but it doesn't break. Elekid launches his attack, but it can't reach the balloon.

"Looks like your Razor Leaf needs to be sharpened!" Jessie says.

"Yeah, dis here net's made out of reinforced steel! And your little spark plug can't reach!" Meowth adds.

James calls out his Pokemon, "Weezing, use Smokescreen, now!"

Weezing comes out and fires the attack, blinding everyone while Team Rocket makes their escape.

Team Rocket says, "Later, losers!"

A bit later, Team Rocket admires their catch…

"Not bad for a dishonest day's work," Jessie says.

"Not only one rare Pokemon, but two!" James adds.

"One is fun, but two's twice as nice," Meowth says, happily.

"Double your fun!" James says, and gets a closer look at Elekid.

But Elekid responds with a shock at James, surprising Larvitar and creating a hole in the balloon that allows them both to drop off the balloon.

Jessie cries out, "You let them get away!"

"And dat was a hard oined catch!" Meowth cries out.

The two Pokemon soon land, but while Larvitar is worried, Elekid reassures it and gets it to follow it.

Back to Mew and the others.

"Of all the stupid stunts Team Rocket did…" Mew angrily says.

And Mew sadly sighs, "I hope that Larvitar's not too scared."

"Just when it's starting to get used to us, Team Rocket shows up," Misty says.

"Team Rocket really messed up big time," Tomo says.

"I know, now I'll bet it's gonna be just as shy and afraid as when it first hatched," Brock says.

Soon, they hear rustling sounds coming from the bushes.

"What now?" Jen asks

Soon, another pokemon comes out of the bushes. A Meganium. A quadrupedal, pale-green reptilian Pokémon that resembles a sauropod dinosaur. It has a long neck; yellow eyes; a short, blunt snout; and two stamen-like antennae on top of its snout. The antennae are shorter on a female than on a male. Encircling Meganium's neck are large, pink flower petals with a yellow central pattern and white edges. It has three claws on each foot and a stubby tail.

"What Pokemon is this?" Molly asks.

"It's a Meganium!" Brock says.

"Let's see," Mew says, and brings out her Pokedex again.

Dexter says, "Meganium, the Herb Pokémon. A Grass Type. Meganium has the ability to fully restore dried up plants and bring them back to life with its breath.

"Wow! I've never seen one before," Tomo says.

"I didn't know they were so big," Jen says.

Suddenly, they hear a familiar voice, "Meganium! There you are!"

The group turns and sees Casey walking their way.

Casey looks around, "Now, where's Elekid?" and soon spot Mew and the others.

"Casey!" Mew says, happily

"Well if it isn't Mew, Misty, Brock, Tomo, Jen, and Molly!" Casey happily says, "How are you guys?"

"We're doing fine, Casey," Brock says.

"Hey Casey, is this your Meganium?" Tomo asks.

"Uh huh," Casey answers, "After it evolved from a Bayleef, my Meganium has become my best batter and the pride of my whole team."

"That's so cool," Misty says.

"So guys, how are things going?" Casey asks.

"Doing fine," Mew says.

Casey soon Zeraora, "Woah! Is that a Zeraora?!"

"Yeah. Casey, this is my papa. He's tagging along with us for a little while," Mew says.

"Nice to meet you," Casey says.

Zeraora nods.

"So Casey, have you got any new Pokemon members for your team since we last saw you?" Jen asks.

"Sure do," Casey says, "Of course, my Meganium is just the best. Talk about speed! Meganium scores an inside the park homerun lickety-split! Your Bayleef is really better suited for the minors, the triple A league."

"Sounds cool," Mew says.

Then Casey notices her Elekid, "Hey Elekid, good to see you again. I see you haven't evolved, but I'm sure you will."

Elekid confirms with confidence.

"Can we see them?" Molly asks.

"Sure," Casey answers.

Then throws her Pokeballs, "Come on out, everyone!"

Soon, Casey's Pokemon are let out: A Pidgeotto, Raticate, Beedrill, Ponyta, Magby, Dunsparce, Pichu, Mareep, Sunkern, Jolteon, Charmander, and a Shiny Growlithe.

"Wow. You've got some new Pokemon since we last saw you," Mew says.

"And you even caught a Shiny Growlithe. It's rare to see a Shiny Pokemon," Brock says.

"Thanks. And now I've got a Pichu as well that will become a Pikachu someday," Casey says. Then notices Misty's Pikachu, "Hold on, Misty, did you Pichu evolve?"

"Yeah. She evolved into Pikachu a while back. I call her Sparkle," Misty says

"That's great news," Casey says. "But I got really big news of my own, I've finally found an Elekid to catch! One of my own!"

"An Elekid?" Tomo questions.

"I've dreamed of having this Pokemon, with those stripes. Those great yellow and black stripes. I know that together, Elekid and I will cheer the Electabuzz all the way to winning the pennant!" Casey says and cheers, "Yahoo!"

"Still a diehard Electabuzz fan, aren't you?" Misty asks.

"You bet your ponytail on it! They're going all the way this year! They've got the best hitting and pitching!" Casey says.

"That would do it," Brock says.

Then Casey says, "But somewhere along the way, I lost track of that Elekid."

Then Mew says, "We saw an Elekid. I think it's the Wild one and not mine."

Casey soon gets excited, "Get out of town! Where, Mew?!"

"A ways back, it just popped out," Mew says.

"Yeah, go on," Casey says, excited.

"Then Team Rocket showed up and stole it," Mew adds.

"Not them again," Casey says, annoyed.

"And they also stole a Larvitar we were taking to Mt. Silver to its birthplace," Mew adds.

Casey is shocked, "You're kidding?!

"It's true!" Molly says.

Then Casey shouts in anger, "I can't stand Team Rocket! When I catch up to those crooks, it's gonna be three strikes and you're out!"

Meganium heartily agrees.

Elsewhere, Elekid and Larvitar continue on until Larvitar's stomach starts growling. Elekid takes it to a nearby apple tree and shoots two apples down with some electricity before giving one of them to Larvitar and showing it how to bite into an apple swiftly and firmly. Larvitar does the same as Elekid does, and Elekid is impressed. Which also makes Larvitar happy.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket is busy looking for the two.

"Well, they couldn't have gotten too far away," Jessie says.

"We gotta get dose spark plugs back and present em to da boss!" Meowth says.

Then James asks, "I wonder, will the boss like them?"

"Of course!" Meowth says.

And begins fantasizing a scenario involving the Elekid, "Dat Elekid is gonna become part of da boss' morning routine, like running his electric razor, for instance. And he's gonna say "it's da best shave I evah had!" Den he'll use his hairdryer into da poifect blow dry."

"He could just plug them in," James points out.

But Meowth says, "But dis way is cheaper!"

Then Jessie asks, "And Larvitar?"

Meowth explains, "Da boss is always saying dat he can't find any good help dese days, but wit Larvitar being da help, dose days will be done. And when he sees da look of sincere soivitude in Larvitar's honest eyes, he'll say 'Larvitar, you are an oasis in a sea of losers.'

Scenario ends.

"You think so?" James asks.

"Now stop dreaming about it and actually do it!" Jessie says.

She soon spots something in the distance, "See? Once you put your mind to something…" and that something is Wild Elekid and Larvitar.

"Right! Dose two are in da bag!" Meowth says.

Elekid and Larvitar walk along until Team Rocket drops a net on them, again and captures them.

"Ah ha! Got you!" Jessie says.

Ït's even more fun the second time around! "James says.

Elekid tries to shock the net apart, but nothing happens.

"Don't waste da volts! Your electronics ain't gonna help you in dat net!" Meowth says.

Larvitar soon starts Screeching, causing Team Rocket to cover their ears.

Meowth cries out, "Dat Screeching is disgusting!"

Elekid is also trying to seal the sound as well.

On the ground, Mew and the others cover their ears to hear the screeching.

"What is that?!" Casey cires out.

"Screeching!" Jen screams

Everyone looks up.

"Well, we found Larvitar!" Brock says.

Everyone soon spots Team Rocket's balloon with Larvitar and Elekid.

"There's my Elekid!" Casey says.

Mew calls out, "Larvitar!"

Larvitar stops Screeching and sees Mew and company, and is specially relieved to see Mew.

"Right! Meganium, Razor Leaf, go!" Casey says.

Meganium launches the attack and cuts the net off the balloon. Team Rocket is shocked to see it.

Jessie turns to James in anger, "James, what is the deal with Razor Leaf cutting through this net?! You told me it was made with a special kind of steel!"

"But that steel was vulnerable to Elekid's electrical attacks, so I swapped it out for a substitute!" James answers.

"Why me?" Jessie replies, disbelief.

"So, it's one step forward and ten steps back," Meowth says.

Brock throws his Pokeball and calls out, "Forretress, Rapid Spin!"

Forretress comes out of the pokeball and throws the attack, destroying the balloon and sending Team Rocket flying.

"Team Rocket's blasting off again!" Team Rocket cries out.

Soon, Mew and the others head off to get the net and the Pokemon.

"Hurry! It looked like the net fell right around here!" Misty says.

"Right!" Brock says.

They soon find the net entangled, but empty.

"The net's here…" Casey says.

"But Larvitar and Elekid are gone!" Mew says.

"They must've fallen out when the net got caught on this cliff," Misty says.

"Let's go find em, quick!" Mew says.

Everyone soon rushes off. Down at the bottom of the cliff, Elekid and Larvitar set off.

Elsewhere, Team Rocket lands with a crash right on top of a familiar person. The Magikarp Salesman, more like the con man.

The salesman cries out, "Watch where you're landing!"

"Ow-er mistake," Meowth says.

Then the man says, "But at least you all have great timing. Yep, this is your lucky day. My discerning young treesome, have you ever seen a more magnificent Magikarp?"

James sits up, "Uh no, I have enough with Magikarps and Gyarados."

"Well if you don't want a Magikarp, how about this," The salesman says, and holds out a Pokeball.

"What's that?" James asks.

"Dis is a Weepinbell. It's not just any Weepinbell, but a wonderfully scented one. Just one whimsical whiff of this aromatic beauty, and every wild Pokemon from miles around will be drawn to you in droves!" The salesman answers.

"Sweet smell of success!" Jessie is happy to hear it.

"But we don't have any money," James says.

Then the salesman says, "How about trading Pokemon?"

"Yep! You're on!" Jessie and Meowth eagerly says,

Soon, Team Rocket talks the trade over.

"So which one of our Pokemon do you tink we should trade to de old codger?" Meowth wonders.

Jessie and James then asks, "How about you?"

"You can't trade me! I'm da brains of dis whole outfit!" Meowth cries out.

Then Jessie suggests, "Then, how about Weezing?"

"What?!" James cries out, "And simply throw away all the clean getaways that we've managed using my dear Weezing's Smokescreen?!"

"I vote Wobbuffet!" Meowth says.

"No," Jessie refuses, "Wobbuffet may be a part time pain, but those Counter Attacks have been a help."

"Wobbuffet," (Why, thank you.) Wobbuffet says, relieved.

"Then, perhaps Arbok! Or even Happiny!" James suggests.

Jessie smacks James in response, "I'll have you know that I've been training with Arbok since it was an innocent little Ekans! And I'll never give away my sweet little baby Happiny! Not in a million years!"

"That's, a no," James says.

Then Meowth says, "Dere's just one left."

"The winner is Victreebel!" Jerssie and Meowth declare.

"Wobbuffet!" (Our last choice!) Wobbuffet says.

James is shocked to hear it.

Jessie then explains, "Every time you call on that thing to battle, Victreebel would rather make you its lunch!"

But James argues, "But, Jess, I got, a certain fondness for that man-eater. And while it is true that, during our morning feedings, it does try to eat me every time, still, I share some wonderful memories with poor Victreebel."

"We have no choice but to vote. All in favor of Victreebel, say aye!" Jessie says.

Jessie, Wobbuffet, and Meowth raise their hands. James doesn't raise his hand at all.

"Aye! Three to one, so you lose!" Jessie and Meowth say.

"Wobbuffet," (Handily.) Wobbuffet says.

James drops to his knees in tears, "Sweet Victreebel!"

Soon, Jessie and the salesman make the trade.

"Here's your Victreebel," Jessie says.

"And here's your Weepinbell," The salesman says.

Soon, the trade is complete.

"There. A done deal," The salesman says.

"Alright," Jessie says.

The salesman quickly packs up, "Of course, you realize, no tradebacks. Bye!" and runs off.

James cries out, "Wait! Victreebel! My Victreebel!"

Sometime after the trade…

James is still in tears, "Victreebel. I miss you so."

"Oh, get a grip! It's time to put the ugly past behind you," Jessie says.

"Buck up, Jim," Meowth says.

"Anyway, let's check out our Weepinbell!" Jessie says.

Then James calls out, "Come out, Weepinbell."

Weepinbell comes out and Jessie and Meowth are impressed.

""Check out dose peeper," Meowth says.

James starts having flashbacks to when his Victreebel was a Weepinbell.

James says, "Those eyes are so much like Victreebel's once were. Jeepers! Where did you get those eyes? Now, time to make my move!"

Weezing appears and attacks, indicating that this is was a flashback to when he first caught Victreebel when it was just a Weepinbell.

James says, "Weezing helped me to catch that Weepinbell, and then off to the Breeding Center!"

James soon has a flashback to when he discovered his Weepinbell evolved and many other times after that.

James says, "In three shakes of a Dewgong's tail, Weepinbell evolved into a Victreebel and we two were inseparable! Night and day, good times and bad, feast or famine, we were a team," In flashback as Victreebel tried to eat him, "Eat your own food!"

Flashbacks end.

James is soon in tears, "But now, those glorious days are long gone!"

"Stop your blubbering and check out the Sweet Scent!" Jessie says, and points to the Weepinbell.

"Yeah, let's just see how sweet dat scent really smells!" Meowth says.

"Alright," James says, and calls out, "Weepinbell, use Sweet Scent."

Soon, the Weepinbell launches the attack.

Meowth smells the attack, "Sweet!"

Jessie and Meowth start fanning the Sweet Scent around.

"Lovely! But I'm sure this Weepinbell could eek out a little more," Jessie says.

Then turns to James, "Excuse me, James, we could use some of your help here!"

James starts weakly fanning.

"Give it the gas, Gus!" Jessie says.

James starts fanning faster, ultimately grabbing the attention of Elekid, while Larvitar just looks confused as to what's going on with Elekid. Realizing something's wrong, Larvitar quickly tries to keep Elekid from going further. Meanwhile, Mew and her friends and their Pokemon get hit by the effects of Sweet Scent. Soon, Meganium walks off.

"Meganium, where are you going?" Casey asks.

Soon, Pikachu, Eevee, and the other Pokemon walk away.

"Pikachu? Eevee? Elekid?" Mew questions.

"Meloetta? Skwovet?" Tomo questions.

"Amaura?" Jen questions.

Soon, Sparkle and the others are leaving as well. All except Zeraora.

Even Togepi is chirping, "Togepi, what is it?" "and turns to Sparkle, "Sparkle, come back!

Brock sniffs the air, "Some Pokemon is giving off Sweet Scent!"

Mew sniffs it, "You're right, and it seems like a pretty effective one."

"That's what's up with Meganium!" Casey says.

"How come Zeraora isn't affected?" Molly asks.

"Well, after being in the forest and dealing with Grass Pokemon, he did kind of pick up a strong resistance against attacks like Sweet Scent," Mew says.

"If Larvitar and Elekid are anywhere around here, I bet they're going to be drawn to that Sweet Scent, too!" Misty says.

"You're right! Let's go check it out!" Mew says.

Back with Team Rocket…

Jessie and Meowth call out, "Come out, come out, wherever you are, sweet Elekid and Larvitar!"

Soon, Elekid and Larvitar are spotted.

"Right on cue," Jessie says.

"Come to Team Rocket," Meowth says.

Then spot Mew and the others not far behind, "Look at that some twerpy stragglers in tow!"

"Hey, Casey! There's Larvitar and Elekid!" Mew says.

"Come on, let's hurry up!" Casey says.

"That Sweet Scent was coming from that Weepinbell!" Brock says.

Right on cue, the two fall into a pit.

"Larvitar!" Mew cries out.

"Elekid!" Casey calls out.

Mew and the others rush over.

"Hold on!" Tomo calls out.

"We'll save you!" Brock says.

However, they soon fall into a pit, too.

Jessie and Meowth cheer, "It worked!"

Soon, Elekid and Larvitar are netted in the hole.

"Up we go!" Jessie and Meowth cheer and pull them up.

"Sorry things fell through…" Jessie says.

"For you," Mew says.

"Oh, no you don't!" Mew says.

Then turns to Zeraora, "Papa!

Zeraora nods and jumps out of the hole with no trouble.

Then Casey calls out, "Meganium, use Vine Whip, now!"

Meganium's vine latches onto a tree branch.

Jessie and James make a run for it, but Zeraora lands in front of them, causing them to stop. Then turn back to see Mew and the others, ready to rumble.

"You're through!" Mew says.

"Give back those Pokemon!" Casey says.

"You've got to be kidding! Go, Arbok!" Jessie says and calls out Arbok.

Arbok comes out.

Then Casey says, "Meganium, you're up, now!"

Meganium charges.

"Let's go, Elekid! "Mew calls out.

Elekid charges in.

Meowth turns to James, "James, why ain't you battling?!"

"Go, now," James calls out and tosses Weepinbell.

But James cries out, "Not me, Victreebel!" and thinks Victreebel is going to eat him.

But Meowth reminds him, "Dat ain't Victreebel!"

James realizes Meowth is right, "You're right. Old habits die hard."

Casey calls out, "Meganium, use Razor Leaf attack!"

Meganium launches the attack.

Jessie calls out, "Dodge it, Arbok and use Headbutt!"

Arbok does so and nails Meganium.

"Oh no! Meganium!" Casey cries out.

"Elekid, use Thunder Punch!" Mew calls out.

Elekid charges and nails Weepinbell with the attack.

James shouts, "You can do it! Weepinbell, Razor Leaf!"

Weepinbell launches the attack.

"Elekid, use Swift!" Mew calls out.

Elekid uses Swift to deflect the attack.

"That's the way to do it!" Misty says.

Mew then calls out, "Now Dynamic Punch!"

Elekid charges and punches it.

James cries out, "Don't you take that, Weepinbell! Use Vine Whip!"

Weepinbell extends the vine for the attack.

Then Mew calls out, "Thunderbolt!"

And soon, Elekid performs Thunderbolt, causing them to collide.

Then they both land on the ground. Elekid is starting to get tired, but Weepinbell is still standing.

"You okay, Elekid?" Mew asks.

Elekid nods.

James happily says, "Brilliant, Weepinbell!"

"Dat ting's even bettah den a Victreebel!" Meowth says.

Soon, Weepinbell begins to glow.

"Don't tell me," Jessie says, shocked.

Soon, Mew's Elekid begins to glow as well.

"Elekid?" Mew asks.

"Wow. Both Weepinbell and Elekid are evolving!" Casey says, amazed.

Soon, Weepingbell and Elekid morph and get bigger before the glow fades to reveal their new evolved is now Victreebel and Elekid is now Electabuzz.

"Cool. My Elekid evolves into an Electabuzz!" Mew says.

James says in surprise, "I'll be!"

"Look at dat!" Meowth says.

"We've got a Victreebel again," Jessie says.

Victreebel soon tries to eat Jessie, causing her to drop the net holding Larvitar and Elekid. James and Meowth are shocked to see it.

Misty notices, "Look, Brock, the net."

Brock calls out, "Forretress, go, Rapid Spin!"

Forretress is let out of the Pokeball and uses the attack to slice the net apart, allowing Elekid and Larvitar to escape.

Mew rushes , Elekid! Are you two alright?"

Both Pokemon confirm to the group as James and Meowth try to get Victreebel to spit Jessie out.

"Well, this is something different," Mew says.

"Rather awkward," Misty says.

"Where did they get that Weepinbell away?" Tomo asks.

Suddenly, they hear a scream.

"What was that?" Jen asks.

The group turns to see something rolling towards them.

They also hear a familiar voice screaming, "What are you doing?! This was a terrible trade! Stop! Let go of me! Stop! Stop!"

Then the rolling object stops to reveal James' Victreebel and has someone in there.

"Is that James' Victreebel?" Tomo asks.

"Sure looks like it," Mew says.

Zeraora walks over and pulls the man out by the leg to reveal the Magikarp salesman.

Mew is shocked, "You?!"

The salesman says, "Glad I was able to get out of there," but becomes shocked to see Mew, "Oh no! Not you!"

Then Zeraora drops the salesman to the ground.

"What are you doing now?" Mew asks.

"I was uh, just, leaving!" The salesman panics and runs off.

Soon, the man is gone.

"Sure didn't expect to see him again," Mew says.

"No kidding," Brock says.

Soon, James and Meowth are able to pull Jessie out of the newly evolved Victreebel.

"That was close," Meowth says.

Soon, James notices his Victreebel, "Victreebel!"

And runs over, "I'm happy to see you again!"

Victreebel smiles to confirm it.

Suddenly, James' Victreebel notices the other Victreebel and vice versa. And then, both their cheeks begin blushing and let out screeches. Both of the Victreebel happily hop to each other and love blooms between them. James is rather surprised, but simply smiles to see both Victreebel end up finding each other. Then both Victreebel happily hop away together leaf and leaf.

James smiles, "Well, I guess there isn't much I can do there, except hope both Victreebel are happy together."

Jessie and Meowth are also happy to see it.

"I have to admit, that's actually very sweet," Jessie says.

"We may have no Victreebels, but they now have each other," Meowth says.

"Wobbuffet!" (That's true!)

Then Jessie turns to the targets, "And now it's time to turn our attention back to Larvitar and Elekid. Arbok, go get them!"

Arbok charges in.

Casey calls out, "Meganium, Razor Leaf!"

Meganium launches the attack and batters Team Rocket easily.

"Finish it up with Solar Beam!" Casey calls out.

"Electabuzz, use Thunderbolt!" Mew calls out.

Both Pokemon launch the attack, and send Team Rocket flying.

"That plan sure stunk!" Jessie cries out.

"But it started out smelling so good wit dat Sweet Scent!" Meowth cries out.

"Bye Victreebels! Hope you two have a blooming relationship!" James calls out to his Pokemons.

Then Team Rocket cries out, "Because it looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!"

After that, Elekid wraps his arm around Larvitar.

"It looks like Elekid was protecting Larvitar the whole time," Misty says.

Then Casey comes in, "Now, are you ready to get caught?!"

Elekid turns to sense a challenge.

Casey calls out, "Go, Meganium!"

Meganium charges before Elekid launches some volts at it.

Casey calls out, "Dodge it and use Razor Leaf, now!"

Meganium does so, but Elekid blocks the oncoming attack with a Thunder Punch.

"Wow, that's a powerful Thunder Punch!" Brock says.

"You sure got some silky smooth moves, Elekid," Casey says. Then calls out, "Meganium, use Tackle attack!"

Meganium charges and nails Elekid.

Then Casey calls out, "Now, Meganium, show em your Secret Solar Beam pitch!"

Meganium launches the attack and nails Elekid, who promptly falls on its back.

"Homerun! Now go, Pokéball!" Casey says and throws the Pokeball

The Pokéball hits, wobbles, and finally pings.

Casey happily cheers, "Yes! It's a grand slam! I just caught an Elekid!"

A sad Larvitar approaches.

Casey turns to Larvitar, "What's that? Don't worry, Larvitar, Elekid's fine. Now that I have Meganium and Elekid battling on my team, we'll, for sure, be going all the way to the series and probably win!"

Later that evening, Mew and her friends are still with Casey.

"That's great. You caught an Elekid. Way to go," Misty says.

"Thanks, Misty. I only have four badges so far, but I'm sure Elekid's gonna help me get a lot more. And won't my home team, the Electabuzz, be so proud?" Casey says.

"With that kind of attitude, you'll have every badge you need in no time!" Brock says.

"We're rooting for you," Tomo says.

Then Casey asks, "Hey Mew, you're on your way to enter the Johto League Silver Conference, aren't you?"

"Yeah," Mew says.

"You don't mind if I come with you. I want to be able to cheer for you at the Silver conference," Casey says.

"Sure. the more the merrier," Mew says.

"Great! Then, allow me the opportunity to sing this cheer to show my support for you in the conference!" Casey says.

"Uh, you don't have to," Mew says, sheepishly.

But Casey says, "Here we go!"

And Casey begins to sing.
