After everyone finished their swim, and everyone was dressed, they enjoyed another flute of champagne and more snacks as they sat in the middle of the lake on the pontoon boat. Topanga commented on how wonderful her birthday celebration had been and she thanked everyone. She went on to say that being on the lake was very calming and peaceful, and she joked that she would have Cory and her adopt Farkle and Smackle. Everyone laughed and toasted one more time: "Happy Birthday Queen Topanga!"

For some reason, Farkle started to talk about how the lake was protected from being affected by climate change problems, unlike the oceans of the world. Smackle added that the temperature of the oceans had risen to over ninety degrees recently, and the world was endangered if the Antarctic glaciers were to melt. Again, everyone, except Farkle and Smackle laughed at that idea. Maya said she doubted that would ever happen.

Smackle took offense at Maya's word comment and started to tell them about what had already happened in recent history: "Twenty years ago, an area of ice thought to weigh almost 500 billion tons dramatically broke off the Antarctic continent and shattered into thousands of icebergs into the Weddell Sea. This glacier was 1,255-sq-miles, and named the Larsen B ice shelf, was known to be melting fast, but no one had predicted that it would take just one month for the 200-meter-thick behemoth to completely disintegrate."

Farkle continued: "Glaciologists were shocked as much by the speed as by the scale of the collapse. Now, if the great cracks and fissures on top of and underneath the Thwaites glacier, one of the biggest in the world, were to fracture and collapse possibly within five years or less, it would cause the oceans of the world to raise by more than half a meter. It would be the 'doomsday' glacier. Farkle made air quotes, and added satellite studies showed it was melting far faster than it did in the 1990s."

Smackle added: Thwaites is worrisome, but many other great glaciers in Antarctica are also retreating, thinning, and melting as the Southern Ocean warms. Many are being held back because the Thwaites acted like a cork, blocking their exit to the sea. Should Thwaites fall apart, scientists believe the others would speed up, leading to the collapse of the whole ice sheet and catastrophic global sea level rises of 10 feet, which would cause most of the coastal towns around the world to be flooded and even destroyed.

Again, Maya laughed as Riley asked whether that could happen sooner. Both Farkle and Smackle looked scared as they both answered Yes. Everyone took another sip of champagne and just looked around at each other. Farkle quickly assured everyone that the glacier melting was still in the future and their lake was safe from being in danger.

Topanga told Farkle to take the boat back to the landing and everyone to return to the Mansion and park. But she thanked everyone again for making her birthday so special. An hour later, everyone was hugging and kissing goodbye and were then taken to their homes in several Minkus International limousines.

Several months later, while Maya and Riley were at work in their offices in the Minkus International building, Farkle called them and asked them to come up to the twenty-eighth-floor Board Room. When they arrived via the Executive elevator, they were surprised to see Aubrey, Auggie, Ava, Cory, Katie, Shawn, and Topanga waiting with Farkle, Jennifer, Jonathan, Smackle, and Stuart.

They all sat around the Board Room table that was prepared with glasses, plates, and utensils. The glasses were filled with juice, and the plates were covered to keep the food warm. Everyone seemed worried about having been summoned and brought to the Board Room with such quick notice.

Stuart started the meeting by telling everyone to start eating, and that he would explain everything. As they ate, Stuart told them that Minkus International has always been monitoring the Antarctic region for the last ten years. It was under contract with the United Nations during this period to provide the measurements and progress of the glaciers melting.

Then he told them the shocking news: "The Thwaites glacier had completely melted and was followed by the entire ice shelf moving into the ocean. This will increase world oceans by up to ten feet, which will flood every coastal area around the globe, and cause the earth's population to change all beliefs, cultures, and governments.

Everyone, except Jennifer, Jonathan, and Stuart was stunned by what they heard. Jonathan chuckled at them and told Stuart to tell them the best part of what was happening. Stuart smiled: "Well, the best part is that Minkus International, with its network of worldwide offices and manufacturing and supply facilities, has been authorized by the United Nations to coordinate and manage this new world starting now. Jonathan and Cory will coordinate worldwide education, Aubrey, Jennifer, and Topanga will coordinate worldwide social issues, and Auggie, Ava, Maya, and Riley will coordinate all communications and news issues.

Everyone continued to look at each other in shock at what they heard. Finally, Topanga asked: "And what will Katie and Shawn be doing? Again, Jennifer, Jonathan, and Stuart chuckled. Stuart looked at Jonathan: "You tell them!" Jonathan stood and put on his serious face: "Katie and Shawn will be coordinating the new Generational Benefactor issues." Aubrey, Auggie, Ava, Cory, Maya, Riley, and Topanga all yelled at the same time: "THE WHAT?"

Shawn stood as Jonathan sat: "It has been decided that the old marriage and parental laws will no longer be appropriate in our new world. So, it will now be officially acceptable to marry as many people as one wants and create larger family groups, when and while those marriages and new family units are supervised by those people who are the oldest adult children who are in a provable married relationship of one year or longer. We call those people the Generational Benefactor, or GB for short.

Cory looked at Topanga: "What does all that mean?" Topanga thought for a moment: "It means you and I can marry Farkle and Smackle, so long as Maya and Riley approve and supervise our marriage to Farkle and Smackle." Topanga looked at Farkle and Smackle: "Do you two want to marry Cory and me?" Farkle and Smackle didn't hesitate and answered at the same time: "YES!"

All four of them looked at Maya and Riley, who had stood and had their arms around each other. Maya got her evil grin. That means Riley and me are your GBs. She continued: "We will allow you four to marry, while you provide us sexual pleasure whenever you need our permission. Riley chuckled: "And you will need to have our permission often."

Shawn looked at Katie: "Do you want to marry Auggie and Ava?" Kathie looked over to Auggie and Ava: "Do you two want to marry us?" Auggie asked Ava. She nodded Yes, and they worked back at Shawn and Katie. All four of them looked at Maya and Riley, as Maya continued her evil grin and spoke: "As Riley and I are also your GBs: "We will allow you four to marry, while you provide us sexual pleasure whenever you need our permission. Riley chuckled: "And you will need to have our permission often."

Stuart looked at Jennifer questioningly. She nodded Yes. Stuart looked at everyone: "Fine, you all will be married this weekend at the Minkus Mansion." He looked over to Farkle and Smackle. Since you two are now our GBs, is that acceptable to you? "We will allow everyone to marry at the Mansion."

Jennifer then added, looking at Aubrey: "And you will be their Maid of Honor, while Stuart and I will be the official witnesses." Aubrey smiled and asked: "What will I wear as Maid of Honor?" This time, Jennifer put on her evil grin: "Nothing, it is going to be completely naked weddings!"
