Ash's POV
It feels good to be back in Kanto, where it all began. Except now, it's kind if boring. There's nothing to do. I've already been declared the greatest champion in the world. I've befriended nearly every Pokémon, met Arceus, traveled the whole world, and done nearly everything. Yet I still can't get a girlfriend. I know. There is barely anything to do anymore. Except some dumb little trifles helping random people all around the place, there is nothing else to do. I wish I could just fall asleep and wake up in a different universe. That could give me a fresh start on something.
"Ash?" Dawn coos from behind me.
"Yeah?" I reply.
"Where do we go next? We've gone through most of this region." She asks.
"I don't know. You choose." I reply in a dull voice.
"Ash, what's been going on with you! You've been acting so... So... Gloomy and depressed lately! What's going on?" Dawn nearly yells, taking her eyes off the map she was holding and jerking her head toward me.
"What are you talking about?" I ask.
"You used to act so energetic and lively, now you just act as if you have no soul!" She yells.
"There's nothing exciting to do anymore, Dawn. I've done almost everything. Nothing is exciting anymore!" I reply.
"Oh, there has to be something you haven't done yet." She coos in my ear.
"Barely..." I say, my head dropping down.
"Ugh... Just come on. Let's set up camp for the night..." She says. Stopping and throwing her backpack onto the ground. We both let our Pokémon out, then we set up our tents, and then fall asleep.
Dawn's POV
I woke up early the next morning, and wake Ash up. He's always been a sleepyhead, but hey, it's healthy for someone to get 9-10 hours of sleep a day. And I also can't deny that I like him. And I mean like. The only thing stopping me from asking him out is he would probably say no. I can already tell that dumb Serena bitch likes him... Me and Ash get everything packed up, let our Pokémon run around a bit longer, put them in their Pokéballs (Well, Pikachu jumps on Ash's shoulder), and hit the road.
We walk along the winding, dirt trail for hours before there is a shaking in the bushes nearby. And out comes an Alakazam. Can that even appear in the wild in Kanto?
Ash walks up to the Alakazam. It looks like the Alakazam is trying to use a move... I run up to Ash and pull him out the way just before a Psybeam flies past where Ash would have been, if I didn't pull him away.
"What was you doing!" I yell.
"Trying to be peaceful..." Ash replies.
"Are you sure you haven't been possessed or something? Because you wre acting like... REALLY different..." I say.
Ash shrugs and throws a Pokeball into the air. Out from the Pokeball comes a Greninja.
"Greninja. Water Shuriken." Ash says in a low, dull tone. Greninja summons a 5 Shurikens out of water and throws them all at Alakazam. Alakazam dodges 1, but the other 4 hit them.
The Alakazam launches a confusion attack at Greninja gets confused. I groan and throw at my partner, Piplup.
"Piplup! Use Whirlpool!" I shout. Piplup summons a small whirlpool around Alakazam, and after a few minutes of constant damage, the Alakazam faints. Upon fainting, there is a large flash of white light, and me and Ash cover our eyes. The light clears, and suddenly, there is a black and purple oval portal infront of us, with small, silver orbs circling around it.
Suddenly, I start to get pulled in. It seems to have some sort of magnetic force. I yelp as my feet leaves the ground, and Ash grabs my hand. He tries to pull me back, but soon he gets pulled off the ground too, and we go flying into the portal.
Next thing I see, and probably Ash too, is trees surrounding us, a large, grassy clearing below us, and me and Ash, falling at a high speed, in the air. Ash hits the ground and seemingly passes out. I hit the ground, still awake, but bruised.
