Jason put a chair against the knob of the door to buy them some time, marinette was humming softly while she was on Jason's shoulder*
Marinette:not that I don't mind being in your shoulder, but can I get off now?
Jason:oh right, sorry
Jason let her down and leaned against the door, Marinette stretched and acted completely calmed over the situatuon. Jason on the other hand he started putting his hand through his hair in shocked over what happened, his wife killed the joker*
Jason: he's gone...
Marinette:yup, so glad it was him and not someone like penguin, or freeze or whatever stupid name villain that batman let's run free on this city, to make himself feel better over whatever mental health problem he has.
Marinette said with a smiling shrug, as she walked up to him and rubbed her thumb on his cheek, to keep him there in the moment, and not trapped in his mind. Jason looked down at her looking at him with a smile, but her eyes showed concern behind them. Jason gave her a small grin with a raised eyebrow*
Jason:so you had a10mm Glock on your purse all this time?
Marinette:first of all I'm impressed you could tell it was a clock from a small sight, second I'm gonna pretend you didn't call my clutch a purse,
Jason huffed with a roll of his eyes over his wife, even in a dangerous situation could act so calm, and lighthearted*
Marinette:and lastly. Your paranoid about a lot of things love, but on this? I agreed completely, Gotham is dangerous and I needed protection, I wasn't gonna put my faith on some vigilante that just punches mentally ill people
Marinette said walking around the room there in, trying to find a place they could escape. Jason just looked at her, with nothing but love behind his eyes looking at his wife*
Jason:god your perfect, have I ever told you that? You are absolutely perfect. I love you so much
Marinette:I love you too jayjay, and pglad you think so, now come over here and grab the gun. We both know your a better shot then me,
Marinette said opening a window and looking down with a frown, they were too high up to just jump out the window, and she can't use one of the kwamis since Jason is with her. Jason walked towards her and grabbed the gun*
Marinette;so, how long till the batfamily comes along to "save the day"
Jason:it should be a few minutes
Jason pointed the Glock on the door as someone started smashing against it. Jason's glare had a small green mist around them, he felt Marinette's hand on his shoulder, and his need to protect her increased 10 fold*
Jason:stay behind me
Marinette:I would put the gun down, seeing as batman is on the ceiling right now
Marinette said looking up, Jason looked up and sure enough there was his father looking down at them, he dropped down in his normal dramatic fashion as the door broke opened, the goon came running, his brain not being able to process in time seeing batman there, Bruce punched him without even looking at him*
Batman:come with me if you want...
Marinette:oh my God that's your voice? You sound like you smoke 60 a day, you want some tea with honey?
Marinette said faking her genuine concern, while on the inside she was grinning making fun of her father in law*
Batman: I'm fine, this is just my natural voice. Now come with me, Nightwing and red robin have already evacuated everyone else
Marinette:so, there's just us and the goons?
Marinette said looking down at the window seeing cars driving away, Jason could feel the glare of his father a mile away*
Batman:yes. Now if we hurry you can...
Marinette:can you please talk normally Bruce?
Both Jason and Bruce froze and looked at marinette who had her hands on her hip, Bruce had his eyes widen while Jason? He was grinning bigger and bigger until he started to laugh a little"
Jason:holy shit, how long have you been wanting to tell us that you knew?
Marinette:since Bruce was late for New years Eve dinner and the table had a person missing, completely ruining the picture
Marinette said with a shrug Jason couldn't help but cackle at her petty behavior as they both walked ahead of Bruce who was rubbing the bridge of his nose frustrated*
Marinette:but I've known for years, I just don't care. Since I married Jason Todd, not red hood. Now are you coming batman? Because my husband has a Glock and he so knows how to use it~
Bruce:I hate my life right now...
Scene change
We see Marinette and Jason at a police car, after batman beat up the goons, and "saved the day" again. Gordon and the rest of the police came and took Marinette for her to make a statement, they were at the back while Harvey bullock drove them to the police station*
Bullock:can I tell yah something ? I want to personally thank you, glad someone finally killed that freak
Marinette;oh it was just self defense, I couldn't go with him, god knows how long it would that for the bat freak to rescue me
Bullock laughed while Jason held her hand with a small smirk"
Bullock: you've got a good one there Mr. Todd
Jason:don't I know it, I'm the luckiest man alive, I still can't believe that the joker is dead
Jason said with a breathless chuckle looking out the window, marinette smiled and kissed his cheek, she held his hand tightly to keep him in the present*
Bullock:you and every other person in the city, I've got word that there's already a huge crowd on the police station
Jason:yeah...wait what do you mean crowd?
Jason said looking at a smirking Bullock, he touched a few things in his laptop connected to the car and showed it to the two, the police station was filled with people cheering "MDC"*
Marinette;the gala was televized darling, I'm not surprised if MDC is trending everywhere
Bullock:all I know is that people are already seeing you as some kind of hero, can't say I ain't one of them. I've wanted that bastard dead for years
Bullock said with a chuckle, marinette just gave a small grin and snuggled next to her husband, she got closer to his ear so bullock couldn't hear*
Marinette:your not the only one who would kill to protect his loved one Jayjay
Jason eyes widen as he looked at Marinette genuinely shocked at her knowing smile*
Jason"she...she planned this? Oh my God she planned this, how was she able to plan this?"
Jason thought as Marinette cuddled closer to her husband and just enjoyed the ride. The ride was quiet save for the music on the radio, when they got to the station, Jason and Marinette looked out, the crowd became twice as big all cheering, some even manages to make signs cheering for her, Marinette looked at Jason with a grin*
Jason:well pixie, your public awaits
Marinette:our public, since you gave me that gun for Christmas dear
Scene change
After hours of giving her testimony Marinette was driving Jason and her home, Jason turned on the radio and sighed*
Jason:god i forgot how long testimony takes
Marinette:come on, even the mayor Grange came to shake my hand and forgiving my crime
Marinette said with a yawn, it made Jason chuckle seeing Marinette trying to deny that she's not also tired, they didn't speak a lot more then that, the occasional small talk here and there, but for the most part they just drove in silence, letting the radio music fill the silence*
Jason: marinette why are we at the docks?
Marinette:oh, I have a Surprise for you, come on. We got to get on that ship at the end
Jason and Marinette got out and locked the car, Jason left a note on the windshield, marinette looked at it and giggled*
Note"this car belongs to redwood, you steal it I steal your life"
They started walking with there hands intertwined together, marinette rested her head on Jason's shoulder as they walked*
Jason:so, what's going on?
Marinette:well it took a lot of convincing, begging, blackmailing, bribing and ass-kissing. But I finally managed to convinced my...I guess you can call them partners, anyways. I finally got them to make an exception to the rule and let you in on a secret
Jason raised his eyebrow when he noticed The League of Assassins mark on the boat. He glanced down at Marinette*
Marinette: we've both danced around the subject, but that's no longer an option now that the secret is out about your family, and I know you already know about my secret. But feel free to say it if it'll make you feel better
Jason:I would feel neutral actually, I don't care that your ladybug, I fell in love with Marinette
Marinette grew a small smile at that as they walked down inside the ship, Marinette started explaining the kwamis, there powers, origin, everything. more and more it dawned on Jason just how powerful his wife really was*
Jason:I kinda want to see you fight Superman love
Marinette: he's weak to magic and I'm a magic super hero I would win easily honey, but don't you dare stop acting so over protective over me, I love that about you
Jason kissed her forehead and grinned at her, in Marinette's eyes that grin held everything that mattered*
Jason: that's never gonna happen now, want to tell me that big secret?
Marinette:well for one, put this on
Marinette said giving Jason plagg's miraculous, Jason put it on and plagg started flying around him*
Plagg; finally! You have no idea how long I've wanted the others to tell the secret, do you know how annoying it is to sneak around in the house for over 5 me forsaken years?!
Jason:I'm guessing your plagg
Jason said looking at what was supposed to be a primordial god, plagg just looked at him and grinned*
Plagg:indeed I am, glad I'm staying in the family, you know Alfred used to be one of my cats
Jason:what?!
Jason screamed in shock and looked at marinette for confirmation, she just nodded with a shrug*
Marinette: we've had so many delightful conversations. Now you'll be able to join, I'm sure alfffy will be over the moon. Now we can discuss more about this later, for now just say 'plagg claws in'
Jason:plagg...
Plagg:oh hell yeah, after almost a decade I'm finally gonna get used!
Jason:claws in!
Jason said as plagg got sucked into the ring and Jason had his sailor moon transformation moment. Jason looked at himself in the black suit, and Marinette couldn't help but drool a little. Jason seeing this smirked*
Jason:like what you see pixie?
Marinette:shut up, we're here anyways
Marinette said opening the door and walking inside, Jason followed her and saw joker's dead body propped up by rope*
Marinette:plagg is a god of destruction, using his special move you'll be able to destroy something completely, or more importantantly destroy a body and there very soul from existence, so there will be absolutely no bullshit way he can ever come back, like say for example if someome were to drop his body in the Lazarus pit. Just sat cataclysm and slash at him
Jason:I will never be able to love you enough, for what your doing to me pixie
Marinette just gave him a cheeky smile and kissed his cheek*
Marinette:were married, it's not a competition, I just want to make you happy. Now come on darling, it's almost sunrise and the kids are waiting for us at the manor
Jason: right right cataclysm!!
Jason screamed and slashed at the clown Prince of crime, Jason took off the ring and threw it at Marinette who caught it, she hugged Jason's hand and both just watch the joker die completely with ABSOLUTELY no way of coming back*
Scene change
We see them Driving to the manor, Jason wanted to drive since Marinette already did so much, but marinette was having none of it*
Jason:Mari come on
Marinette:don't you Mari me, I'm fine. I'm still young, I don't get tired easily
Marinette said stifling a yawn which made Jason snicker at his wife refusing to accept the truth. Marinette just huffed that her husband would dare laugh at her*
Marinette:Jason shut up I'm not old, we're still in our 20's
Jason:in our late 20's love. With 2 kids
Marinette:...3 kids
Marinette whispered with a soft smile, Jason yawned nodding*
Jason:right right 3...
Jason's brain finally got up to what Marinette said And he looked at her shocked, marinette stopped the car at the red light, she grabbed Jason's hand and placed it on her stomach looking at him with a big smile tears almost threatening to spill over*
Marinette:I was gonna surprise you on the gala but then the incident happened, but
Jason didn't give marinette the chance to finish that sentence as he kissed her deeply, marinette's eyes fluttered as she kissed back, they didn't break away till a car honk brought them back to reality, Marinette started driving again both Mr. And Mrs. Todd with a big smile on there face, Jason's hand never leaving her stomach. The future will always be a mystery, but Jason knows one thing, as long as he's got his pixie on his side it'll be a future filled with love*
