Chapter 7: Honey Hive Galaxy Part 1

Star 1: Bee Mario Takes Flight

Location: Honey Hive Kingdom

BOOM!

Mario arrives in the Honey Hive Kingdom the central area of the Honey Hive Galaxy. Heading up the starting path he is greeted by a bee…

"Welcome to the Honey Hive Kingdom!" greeted the bee. "Our queen rules this land."

Continuing up the path Mario comes up to a fork in the road where another bee resides…

"New Bees must greet Her Highness, Queen Bee!" said the bee.

Noticing another question marked coin above a large fountain Mario heads up the higher path to grab it. A few flip bugs that flip over when scared and slurples reside in the area alongside more bees.

"This isn't the way to the castle, you know." said another bee.

"That red and blue outfit is so tacky." said another bee.

Grabbing the coin makes a Bee Mushroom appear on the lower path near the waterfall…

"See that area behind the waterfall?" said another bee. "That's our queen's castle!"

Taking the lower path another bee resides here…

"The castle is straight through here." said the bee.

Crossing over a log Mario grabs the Bee Mushroom turning him into Bee Mario. Wearing a bee costume this powerup allows him to hover for a short time and stick to walls of honey…

"Just hold and fly." said another bee floating at the waterfall's bottom. "Trust me, it's great fun."

Passing through a tunnel behind the waterfall Mario flies by more flips bugs where two more bees guarding an open tree stump await at the end…

"This hole leads to the queen's castle!" said one of the guards.

"See that?" said the other guard. "It's our castle!"

Sliding down the hole leads Bee Mario to another pathway over a huge wall where another bee is floating…

"The castle is past this wall." said the bee. "It's true!" "Bees never lie." finished the bee.

Flying over the wall Mario collects some coins on the flower platforms at the top floating near the path of honey puddles. More bees are here gathering some of the honey from the path as Mario makes his way toward the next Launch Star awaiting at the end…

"Honey is heavy!" said one of the bees.

"Hold to fly!" said the last bee.

SPIN! POW!

The Launch Star takes Mario to the flower planet with a huge pond containing multiple piranha plants, otcoguys, flip bugs, star bit streams, water jets, and flower platforms. Also, on the planet are banandelions which shoot Maio up in the air. Reaching the flower platforms above Mario gathers more star bits and a 1-Up where the Launch Star awaits on the largest and highest one…

SPIN! POW!

Finally at the castle aka the Queen Bee planet, Mario must climb the massive honey wall with more bees where the Queen awaits at the top. There is vine that leads all around the bottom that Mario uses to gather more star bits and coins on the backside wall…

"One of the perks of being a bee is that we can stick to this honey wall." said a bee at the bottom."

"Grab on and climb up here." said a bee on the wall. "It's a blast, no joke!"

Climbing up the wall Mario gathers the many coins around including a giant one that makes a coin path up to a ledge near the top where a piranha plant sits. Defeating it reveals a sproutle vine that takes Mario all the way up where he hands on a tall leaf plant in front of the Queen…

"And who might you be?" said Queen Bee. "A physician, we presume?" "No matter." continued Queen Bee. "We are in the most vexing predicament and require assistance." "The most furious itchiness plagues our entire being!" continued Queen Bee. "It must be stopped!" "Please find the source at once!" finished Queen Bee.

On the planet is another huge pond with flower platforms that surround the queen along with more flip bugs, water jets, piranha plants, star bit streams and another 1-Up. Crawling around the Queen's body the itchy source is revealed to be star chips…

"Ooh, that tickles!" giggled Queen Bee. "Yes, that's the spot!" "Ooh, that feels good!" finished Queen Bee.

After gathering the star chips Queen Bee thanks Mario and bids farewell until next time before the final Launch Star appears…

"My thanks!" said Queen Bee. "You have shown much bravery, New Bee." "We trust that we may rely on you in the future." finished Queen Bee.

SPIN! POW!

The Launch Star takes Mario to a circular wooden deck on top of a giant tree on the starting planet. On the deck are some familiar friends from back home which are Captain Toad and the Toad Brigade…

"How are we ever going to get back?" said Bank Toad.

"Glad to see you're OK!" said Hint Toad.

"Hello, Mario!" sung Mail Toad.

"Yawn… Zzzzzz…" snored Yellow Toad.

After greeting the Toad Brigade Mario turns towards Captain Toad…

"AAAAUGH!" screamed Captain Toad. "A BEE!" "…What?! Mario? Hey…it's YOU!" continued Captain Toad. "We escaped from Peach's Castle too!" "But then we thought Bowser would get us, and then we got lost with Luigi…" continued Captain Toad. "…Oh! I just remembered! We found a Power Star!" "I'm sure you need this, so here, take it." finished Captain Toad.

He opened his backpack and pulled out the next Power Star…

"Take this Power Star!" said Captain Toad."

"Thank-a you so much!" said Mario grabbing the star. "YAHOO!"

YOU GOT A POWER STAR!

Star 1: Mission Complete

Location: Comet Observatory Grounds

"Mario… Your name is Mario, isn't it?" said Rosalina. "That is what I heard from your friends who just arrived." "Mario… It has such a nice ring." continued Rosalina. "Your friends are waiting for you in the Garage." "I think they want to tell you something, so you'd best hurry on over there." finished Rosalina.

The Power Star used its magic to transport the Toads here as Mario arrived back. He quickly heads to the garage for a brief intermission with his companions before continuing the adventure.

Location: Garage

"Mr. Maaario! Check it out, I'm a mail toad!" said the purple toad. "And I have a letter for you!"

Dear Mario,

I'm in a faraway place. But I'm alright because you're coming to rescue me! P.S. I hope this gift will come in handy.

From Peach

"Princess Peach included 5 1-Up Mushrooms in her letter." said Mail Toad. "Would you like them now?"

"Of course." said Mario.

"Aww… Even when she's kidnapped, the princess is so thoughtful!" said Mail Toad. "Well, come see me next time there's a mail delivery."

"Where are we? I want to go home." said Yellow Toad. "I'm so homesick…"

"So I guess this place is some kind of mobile observatory controlled by that Rosalina lady." said Hint Toad. "But who exactly is she, anyway?" "She's not a…witch? Is she?! IS SHE?!" continued Hint Toad. "Noooo…that's ridiculous. Right?" finished Hint Toad. "Who is that Rosalina lady?"

Alongside everyone is a half-built ship in the garage…

"This ship is for the Toads!" said a Luma.

"The Lumas are going to build us a ship!" said Green Toad. "When it's done, let's go look for Princess Peach and Power Stars!" "What type of starship will it be?" finished Green Toad. "Augh! I can't wait!"

"We're building a starship!" said the other Luma.

"Mario! Somehow we made it too!" said Captain Toad. "We'll help you get the Power Stars and save Princess Peach!" "You can count on us Mario!" continued Captain Toad. "We're all in this together." "Leave it to us!" finished Captain Toad.

With Captain Toad and his crew by Mario's side it will make finding the Power Stars a lot quicker. Onward back to Honey Hive Galaxy in search of more Power Stars…
