Author's Note: Note at the bottom about future updates, other than that I hope you enjoy the chapter.

Pyrrha walked beside Coco and Velvet, doing her best to hide her smirk as they continued to tease Yang about the coming school year. Beacon started back up again in only a few days. Students would be arriving, awestruck by the grandeur of the academy and ready to learn. Her good mood threatened to turn sour at the knowledge of how their dreams would be dashed, but she focused on the present instead.

"Oh, and the exams!" Coco exasperated. "I thought I was ready for them but I was so unprepared."

Yang's pale face somehow drained of even more color. "Heh, I'm sure it's not that ba-"

"And the fights." Velvet added. "I was one of the best in my class before coming to Beacon. Now I'm maybe in the top fifteen."

Pyrrha rolled her eyes at the blatant lie. While it might have been technically true that Velvet wasn't top of her class at Beacon, that was only because she held back. When she went all out, even with just her Semblance, she was truly a threat. Adding her weapon in was just unfair most of the time. The glint of amusement in her eyes revealed her dishonesty, but only if you knew where to look for it. Yang had no such knowledge, and she looked like her entire world was crashing down around her.

"You two are gonna give her a heart attack." Pyrrha finally stepped in to help her friend, having to force aside her own amusement to do so. "Beacon really isn't that bad, the teachers are great, and you'll do fine."

Coco sighed. "Thanks mom, way to ruin the fun."

"Yeah Yang, you'll do fine." Ruby appeared beside her sister, the smirk on her face being a bit too close to her uncles for comfort. "And if you don't, you can always go back to live with me and dad. Forever!"

Yang looked like she was about to faint.

"If you three are done picking on her." Yatsuhashi stepped forward, and Pyrrha couldn't ignore the irony at the fact he had said nothing to help Yang during the entire walk. "We are here."

Pyrrha looked up to the building, one of Vale's movie theaters, and smiled. Movie night with Team CFVY had been something that she missed, between the fighting and the near death experiences, she hadn't had much time to sit down for multiple hours on end and do nothing productive. The last few days had been precisely the opposite, and she'd struggled to get anything actually done.

Coco had been determined to make up for lost time, and most of their break had been wasted thanks to Pyrrha; not that she'd ever say it. The result had been trying to pack four weeks of group activities into the plan of only a few days. It was fun, Pyrrha would willingly admit that, but it was also a tad bit exhausting. They'd spent the night before just staying in their dorm room watching movies, something that she very much enjoyed.

They had planned to do the same tonight, until they ran into Ruby and Yang; who were at Beacon to visit Qrow. Their Uncle, despite how much he loved them, hadn't had the time to spare, and asked Pyrrha to take care of them for a bit. She'd been more than willing, and once she'd mentioned who exactly it was, Team CFVY had been all for it as well.

Fitting five people comfortably into a dorm room was hard enough, but seven was pushing it. The result was a change of scenery for movie night, rather than staying in, they decided to go out. Pyrrha had been given a small bank account to make necessary purchases, from both the Headmaster and General Ironwood; funnily enough, both used the same explanation for why. Stating that she was at a disadvantage when it came to lien, due to having technically only been around for about two months.

She had tried to deny them, but they had both insisted, and now she had two bank accounts loaded to the brim with money that she had no idea what to do with. She'd long since grown used to not owning much, so she didn't have the urge to go on a large spending spree, and Coco had insisted on buying their clothes when they went out shopping the days before. In the end, Pyrrha had only one thing she could spend her money on; her friends.

Paying for the movie tickets, as well as the various snacks and drinks everyone wanted, would have to suffice for now. Pyrrha was sure she'd have a better use for the lien in time, but at the moment she couldn't think of anything better. Finding their seats wasn't hard, the theater being surprisingly empty.

Checking her scroll, she sighed when she saw that there was no message. Putting it on silent, she stashed it back in her pocket. Qrow had said it would take time to find the tribe, but she had been hoping he meant days. She'd been wrong, and it was becoming increasingly clear that she would need to be patient for a while longer, but with the school year looming over her, not to mention the stressful reminders of what was to come, that was becoming increasingly difficult.

Shaking her head, Pyrrha again tried to focus on the present. Moments like these were going to become increasingly rare and, as the lights dimmed and the movie started, she wanted to appreciate the time she had with her friends. It was something that she should have done more during her last life.

Pyrrha walked through the streets of Vale with a smile. The movie had been funny, the group having decided on a comedy movie on their way into the city. There have been a few jokes that she felt might have been a bit too… adult, for some members of the audience, but Ruby had seemed to enjoy herself. The humor had also seemed to ease Yang's nerves, or at least let her focus on something else. She would do fine in Beacon, and Pyrrha had told her as much, but there was no way the girl would believe her until she made it through herself. After all, it wasn't like she knew the future or anything.

Pyrrha rolled her eyes at the thought, smiling at the absurdity of her life.

"Whatcha smiling about?" Ruby asked from beside her.

"Just thinking about the movie." Pyrrha answered quickly. "So what store are we trying to find again?"

"Dusk Till Dawn." Ruby replied. "They've got really good deals on Dust, and since prices are going up back in Patch, I wanted to stock up before heading home. I hope you don't mind."

"We can catch up with the others after, they know to save us a seat." Pyrrha said. Ruby had mentioned needing to stock up on ammo, and Pyrrha had been more than willing to accommodate that. Team CFVY and Yang had gone ahead to the restaurant they were going to eat at for the night, but it wasn't too far away. Besides, Ruby had a point, Dust was getting expensive.

The Dust robberies had started to pick up recently, though from what she was seeing in the news there was no mention of Torchwick. She didn't know what to think of that, unfortunately she hadn't paid close enough attention before to know if that was normal or not. She assumed it wasn't, however, since if Torchwick had been gathering the dust for Cinder, he had no reason to do so now that he had been cut loose.

That begged the question of who was doing it then. The news was saying the White Fang, although Pyrrha was hesitant to believe them just yet. While she couldn't recall hearing about Torchwick before, she was certain that she hadn't heard about the White Fang being an issue until after Team RWBY had crashed the docks. The fact the media was blaming the Faunus already left Pyrrha feeling conflicted.

They were right to blame the White Fang, but there was no solid evidence for them to base that off of yet. Pyrrha knew because of having lived through it before, but the police were still investigating at this point, and yet the media had already picked their target to blame. That meant someone had made the assumption it was the White Fang. Was that because they were terrorists, or just because they were Faunus?

"Oh, there it is!" Ruby disappeared, a cloud of rose petals falling where she had stood; the younger girl appearing at the door almost instantly. Her hand froze on the door handle, however, as her other hand reached for her weapon.

Pyrrha had already grabbed Allos' hilt, her calm walk turning into a sprint as she tried to catch up to Ruby before she opened the door. It was doomed before she started however, as Ruby used her semblance to enter the store before Pyrrha had even begun to draw her sword.

She managed to make it to the door before a body was sent flying through the window. Said was wearing a white hoodie and jeans, but what caught her eyes most was the white mask that adorned their face.

Pyrrha nearly tore the door off its hinges as she opened it, reading the room in an instant, she stepped towards another White Fang member who was currently trying to level a gun at the old man behind the counter.

Allos shifted in her hand, moving from its sword form to spear as she lunged forward. The tip of her weapon made contact with the man's pistol, pushing it off course just enough for the shot he fired to miss its target by a few inches. His head was only partially turned as Pyrrha's fist connected with his face and, with a sickening crack, the man crashed to the floor.

Taking a moment to check her surroundings, Pyrrha saw several more masked individuals. A few were trying to stop Ruby, although they were clearly aware they had bitten off more than they could chew, while the rest had turned towards the door the moment they had seen her enter. Two of the men were carrying suitcases, holding them tight as if their lives depended on it.

Narrowing her eyes, Pyrrha moved back in the direction of the door. Cutting off the first carrier before they could push the door open. The woman cried out in pain as Allos pierced her hand, blood immediately dripping down the tip of her spear. It was only then that Pyrrha realized their opponents didn't have Aura.

Despite the sudden realization, Pyrrha didn't hesitate or pause. Pulling Allos back, she used the shaft of her weapon to sweep the bleeding woman's legs out from under her, causing her to collapse to the ground and the suitcase to tumble away from her. Another masked member grabbed the case, took a moment to look at his downed comrade, and turned towards the broken window.

The other still standing perpetrators quickly followed him, clearly realizing they wouldn't be able to force their way through Pyrrha. Growling under her breath, Pyrrha broke off from the door to pursue them. She only made it one step however, as she felt something slick wrap around her ankle and pull, the sudden resistance causing her to fall forward.

Turning over, she was immediately assaulted by the woman she had stabbed, her bloody hand grappling for Pyrrha's weapon in a vain attempt to disarm her. Still, the woman had managed to pin her for the moment and buy the others time to escape. Something Pyrrha couldn't let happen.

"Ruby!" Pyrrha cried out, looking up from her fight on the ground to see the younger girl finishing her own fight. She stepped towards Pyrrha but the downed girl shook her head. "Go after the runners! I'll handle this!"

Despite her younger age, Ruby didn't hesitate, and she turned to go after those who had ran. Pyrrha would have smiled at that, she was already acting like a huntress, but there wasn't time.

The woman on top of her had given up on stealing her weapon, and instead gone for her throat. Blood from her hand was making it difficult for the girl to get a good grip and Pyrrha wasn't sitting still.

Shifting Allos back into its sword form, she jabbed the hilt into the woman's ribs, when the first one didn't drive her off she did it again. After the fourth time the woman's hands finally slipped from her neck and she fell forward. Pyrrha rammed her head forward, the smack knocking the woman out. Pyrrha rolled her off, pinning her to the ground with her legs and pressing the tip of her sword against the woman's throat.

The woman's mask had fallen off after Pyrrha had headbutted her, giving her a good look at the woman's features. She couldn't have been older than eighteen, and her eyes were filled with fear. That fact saddened her, but she spared no sympathy.

Looking over to the other bodies strewn across the floor to make sure no one else was going to attack her, she spared a glance for the old man. "Call the police." Pyrrha wiped some of the girl's blood off of her neck. "And bring me something to wrap her hand with."

He nodded quickly, reaching under the counter before tossing her a first aid kit.

This was not how Pyrrha had expected her night to go. Sitting in an interrogation room couldn't have been fun, and Ruby looked incredibly nervous. Pyrrha stood on the other side of a pane of glass that, judging by the fact Ruby hadn't looked at her, was one way.

Pyrrha kept rubbing at her neck with the wash cloth the police had given her, but no matter how hard she scrubbed, she could still feel the dry blood on her skin. She wanted nothing more than to head back to Beacon and take a shower, but sadly, there was still some debate about what to do with Ruby, according to the police.

She was a minor and, since she wasn't a student of Beacon, she couldn't actually claim to be a Huntress in training either, meaning that in the eyes of Vale she was a child who had just rushed into a robbery in progress and attacked people. The Kingdom didn't count preparatory school training as enough to warrant intervening in such an emergency.

They'd quickly let Pyrrha go, after one simple call to Beacon they were able to confirm that she was not only a Huntress, but employed by the Headmaster himself. That was the first time she'd ever heard Amber had been a licensed Huntress.

Ruby was a more difficult matter, however, or it would have been had she not told Ozpin about this event months in advance. Now she couldn't help but smile as she watched Ozpin step into her interrogation room with a plate of cookies and the smallest hint of a smile. He'd already drawn up the paperwork, handed it to the police chief, and set up for her release. Now he just had to get her permission to do so, which he knew she'd say yes to.

There was something incredibly satisfying about being able to use her knowledge of the future to plan accordingly. Her satisfaction ended there however. The White Fang was making moves in Vale, far earlier than she had ever heard of. To her knowledge they'd worked with Torchwick and his gangsters at this point so that they could stay in the shadows. As time went on they would involve themselves more, but them doing so already painted a worrying picture.

Another cause for worry was that the people they had fought were so unprepared. They had no Aura, no real training, and more than a few of them had been teenagers. The girl she had fought with was likely to lose normal function of her hand for several years according to the paramedics that had arrived on scene.

Did Pyrrha feel bad about that? She supposed so, but she didn't regret it. The girl had made her choice and put herself in that situation, Pyrrha was simply disappointed that someone felt joining the White Fang was the right thing to do; let alone someone so young. Her good mood thoroughly gone, she stepped out of the room and out towards the main lobby.

"Is that blood?" Professor Goodwitch raised one eyebrow in question.

"Not mine." Pyrrha answered, though the words felt heavy. "Don't suppose you brought a change of clothes?" The professor held up a small bag for her to take. "Thanks Glynda, you're the best."

The Professor hummed softly. "You friends are waiting for you outside, along with a very concerned Xiao Long."

Pyrrha winced. "Tai?"

"His daughter." Glynda clarified, allowing Pyrrha to sigh in relief. "Though I imagine he will have questions for you when he finds out you were there."

Pyrrha planned to burn that bridge when they got there, in the meantime she went to the bathroom to change her shirt and blouse, guessing that walking through the city with dried blood all over her shirt would be a bad idea.

Before long, she was stepping outside to the waiting small crowd.

"I can't believe it!" Yang explained, evidently trying to suffocate Ruby judging by the younger girls flailing. "My baby sister is going to Beacon with me!"

Pyrrha smiled softly, even if she had known the outcome it was still nice to see things were going as planned. With how many things had changed it was good to see that this hadn't.

"So, I have to ask." Coco stopped close, her voice quite enough so that they could speak in relative privacy. Yang's excited squealing helped to distract the rest of the group. "I know she made it into Beacon last time, but you didn't…"

Pyrrha rolled her eyes. "No, I didn't plan this."

Coco held up her hands. "Hey, just asking. Looks like this all worked out surprisingly well."

Pyrrha hummed back, not saying anything verbally but rather resorted to Fox's semblance. "The White Fang are more active than before."

"Oh." Coco was the first to respond, though the others turned away from Yan and Ruby to look at her. "Well… so much for everything working out, I guess."

"Why don't we go get something to eat." Pyrrha changed the topic, Yang and Ruby both having noticed the way everyone else had turned to look at her. "I don't know about Ruby, but I'm starving after that fight."

"Can we get-"

"Yes Ruby." Yang rolled her eyes. "We'll go someplace with cookies. Stopping terrorists is worth a couple cookies."

Ruby beamed, her good mood proving infectious enough to help the rest of them ignore how things had changed

Author's Note: 50 Chapters. Amazing to see what kind of progress can be made with time and a bit of support from the internet.

There should be one more chapter before I go on leave, then the next upload probably won't be until the 9th. A long gap I know, but I like to enjoy the holidays.

Don't forget to review and let me know what you think. It's always a joy to read the reviews and PM's. If you have any questions feel free to ask, I do my best to answer when possible without giving any kind of spoiler.
