Stardate 49548.7…

It was an exciting day when Ensign Wildman went into labor. Harry happened to be on duty on the bridge during this time. The excitement among the crew was quite high at this development as the hours of the labor drug on.

"You seem impatient Mr. Kim," Tuvok said to Ensign Kim. "During the birth of my second child my wife was in labor for 96 hours."

"Four days," Kim clarified in shock.

"I learned that pregnancy and patience go hand in hand," Tuvok answered.

"I didn't expect to be this nervous. I'm not the father," Chakotay announced.

"This is the first baby born on Voyager. Everyone wants to see it come into the universe," Kathryn pointed out. "Although I am not so sure how well a baby will fare onboard a starship. Voyager isn't exactly a nursery," the redhead added as she took her seat. "The Delta quadrant can be quite hostile."

"We will keep any little ones safe Captain," Harry assured his lover.

"Captain," Tuvok interrupted. "Long range sensors are picking up heavy subspace communications ahead. The communications are Vidiian."

"All stop," Kathryn ordered even as her man brought Voyager back into normal space.

"There are at least twenty ships within sensor range and a G type star system with two planets inhabited by Vidiians," Tuvok declared.

"It looks like we are going right towards Vidiian territory," Chakotay said.

"There will be no involuntary organ donations today. Options Mr. Paris," the Captain prompted.

"I'm picking up a large plasma drift at bearing four-zero mark seven," Harry replied. "The drift extends almost half the length of this sector. Interference from the plasma should block us from Vidiian sensors."

"Good thinking," Kathryn praised. "Lay in a course at full impulse. Mr. Tuvok, deflectors at maximum and have the Promethium drive at the ready."

"We are clearing the Vidiian system Captain," Harry announced half an hour later.

"Take us out of the plasma cloud and resume our previous course," was Kathryn's response.

At the same time Voyager was exiting the plasma cloud the Doctor had to initiate an emergency transport to remove Ensign Wildman's baby from her womb due to complications in the birthing process. The part human baby's cranial ridges were hurting Ensign Wildman from the inside. While the plasma cloud concealed Voyager from Vidiian sensors the plasma also served to conceal a spatial anomaly from the Voyager crew. The emergency transport reacted in an unexpected way with the anomaly. A moment later the ship shuddered.

"What was that?" Kathryn demanded.

"We hit some kind of subspace turbulence as we exited the plasma drift," Ensign Kim replied.

Power started fluctuating all over the ship.

"Captain, the warp engines just stalled," Harry announced, seconds before he screamed.

The ancient mage collapsed to the floor of the bridge and writhed in incredible pain. The sensation felt much like a cruciatus curse the eldest Potter had experienced in his youth. Harry thought his magic was tearing him apart. The pain didn't last long but when the sorcerer's senses returned to him he thought he was seeing double. Kathryn was bending over him in concern and there appeared to be two of her. There was two of everyone else as well. It was like one copy was slightly displaced from the original person. The effect was apparent on the structure of Voyager as well. Harry climbed to his feet and felt a sudden surge of power.

"Tom…what happened?" Kathryn demanded, incredibly concerned for her mate.

Chakotay was issuing orders to deal with the situation as power started draining from the warp engines. The mage's powerful mind was working at a furious pace as he probed the surrounding space with his extra-dimensional senses. What Harry found actually managed to startle the ancient warrior. There were two Voyagers and two crews, the duplicate slightly out of phase with the original.

"I need…I need to go to sick bay," Harry answered.

"I'll escort you," Kathryn offered.

"No Captain," Harry replied. In a softer tone the mage added, "Kathryn…I will be fine. You need to stay on the bridge."

Kathryn looked to object for several moments but reluctantly nodded her agreement. As soon as he was in the turbo lift the sorcerer closed his eyes and concentrated on his ability to teleport virtually anywhere he wanted to. The warlock shimmered and fully reoriented his body into phase with the duplicate ship. With a sudden grin Harry opened his eyes which were glowing a brilliant green. The eldest Potter gestured at the turbo lift door and caused it to open with his abilities. Harry strode onto the chaotic bridge.

"Tom, what are you doing back so quickly?" Duplicate-Kathryn demanded.

"I'm saving your life Kathryn. Recall if you will an experiment run by quantum theorists at Kent State University. A single particle of matter was duplicated using a divergence of subspace fields, a spatial scission. That has happened to Voyager except with every particle of matter," Harry explained.

A sudden look of realization came over the Captain's face and she declared, "The antimatter hasn't been duplicated. We are sharing antimatter with the other Voyager. Why are your eyes glowing?" The redhead asked as she noticed her mate possessed glowing eyes and looked if anything even more gorgeous.

"Because my dear Kathryn, I am not made of regular matter," Harry declared with a roguish grin. "My name is Harry Potter," the sorcerer added as he tapped into his metamorphmagus abilities and changed into his birth shape.

"Harry Potter," a stunned Kathryn exclaimed as she beheld the wizard from the holo-novel she and her friends had been exploring for some time.

"Wizards are real?" Ensign Kim asked in awe.

"Yes my dear Ensign Kim. We are real and I am one," the sorcerer assured. "Now if you will be quiet for several moments I will save this duplicate Voyager from being destroyed by proton bursts. Soon the original Voyager crew will catch on to their predicament and begin the proton bombardment in order to stave off the draining of their antimatter core. Now none of that Mr. Tuvok," Harry reprimanded as Tuvok's drawn phaser vanished. "I am the same old Tom Paris you have always known. I just have a different form."

Harry closed his eyes and concentrated upon his powers. The mage tapped into his core of energy, double what it was before Voyager's duplication. Unlike the rest of Voyager's crew the eldest Potter hadn't been duplicated completely. The exotic matter that made up the extra-dimensional male's power core was the only part of him duplicated. Harry's aura flared brilliantly as he enveloped the space Voyager occupied and bent reality to his will. The duplicate Voyager began to shake, the vibration growing ever more violent as the seconds passed, until with a wrenching jerk the duplicate starship was ripped free from its parent. Immediately the cloaking field Harry's aura was projecting ensured nothing but Hogwarts could detect the duplicated vessel.

"I'm picking up another Voyager," Ensign Kim announced.

Harry caused the original Voyager to appear on the main view screen.

"Amazing," Chakotay said, putting to words the feeling the entire bridge crew had.

"What about our antimatter? The antimatter wasn't duplicated in that experiment," Kathryn pointed out.

"I've filled Voyager back up from the reserves onboard my ship," Harry explained.

"Your ship," Tuvok said inquiringly.

"My ship," Harry replied while causing his ship to become visible to the crew of this duplicate Voyager. "She is called Hogwarts. I do believe my friends that we have a lot to talk about. Let's all take a seat in the main briefing room. Hogwarts will make sure nothing happens to this ship." Harry led his crew mates into the briefing room and they arrayed themselves around the table. "We are missing two people I believe," the mage said thoughtfully and reached out with his powers.

B'Elanna and Kes appeared sitting next to Kathryn.

"What is going on?" B'Elanna demanded as her defensive instincts took over and she stared around the briefing room. "Who is that?" The woman added while looking at Harry.

"Tom," Kes answered as surprise registered across her face.

"He looks like the Harry Potter character from our holo-novel. Is he a hologram?" B'Elanna asked.

"My dear B'Elanna, I am no hologram," Harry assured. "My story started centuries ago. You know something of my early life," the immortal sorcerer began before giving a brief summary of his life including the immortality he found himself experiencing.

"So you could send us right back to the Delta quadrant and could have done so all along," Ensign Kim clarified.

"I could have yes," Harry agreed. "But doing that would mean I wouldn't find what I have been seeking for centuries as my Seers predicted."

"And what is that?" Chakotay asked.

"A way to bring back his lost lovers," the intuitive Kes answered for her mate.

"Very good Kes," the sorcerer replied with a grin for his favorite Ocampan. "My Seers predicted I would find what I have been looking for on this journey."

"Do you mean you are looking for time travel technology?" Kim inquired.

"If that is the form the solution to my desire takes then so be it. I can already travel back in time up to a year at will," Harry answered.

"You can?" A curious B'Elanna queried.

"Indeed," Harry confirmed. "I would be happy to show you the basics of the technology later. That is actually how I won't be missed from the original Voyager when I am onboard this ship. I can travel back in time and arrive just after I departed from the original ship once I am done on this ship."

"It's obvious you have a plan for this Voyager and her crew. Do you care to enlighten us?" Kathryn asked cautiously, unsure how to proceed with her current lover who was now revealed to possess powers previously only witnessed in Q.

Harry smiled warmly as he sensed Kathryn's caution and apprehension, wishing to reassure his mate.

"It's quite simple Kathryn. I could have let you be destroyed like would have resulted without my intervention. But I saw this as an opportunity to ensure Voyager isn't alone in the Delta quadrant. At some point I'm sure your presence will be revealed to the original Voyager but until then I want you to follow her cloaked. As we speak stealth systems synthesized by the automated technologies onboard Hogwarts are being installed on this vessel. No Federation class race can detect you. Even the vaunted Q cannot detect you when most of your systems are powered down due to my cloaking technology. You will help ensure Voyager's safety covertly. I will also admit that the thought of two versions of three of my favorite women didn't hurt my decision making process when it came to separating the two duplicate Voyagers," Harry explained, earning smiles out of the three women in question.

"Could you kill one, a Q?" B'Elanna inquired.

"Before my powers were duplicated today I was fairly sure I could take out a Q or two. I was more certain with the assistance of the systems on Hogwarts. Now that my powers are doubled I'm sure of it," Harry answered. "But killing one or two Q means nothing unless you possess the ability to kill them all. The Q can travel through time pretty easily. They could go back to the origin of wizard-kind and wipe us from existence if they realized we were a threat. That my friends, is why I didn't interfere when the Q visited Voyager."

B'Elanna nodded her understanding. The mage answered questions until his friends were too tired to ask them before hopping back in time and returning to the original Voyager.

"What did the Doctor say about your seizure?" B'Elanna asked in concern after she entered the quarters she shared with Harry, Kes, and Kathryn.

Kes and Kathryn were steps behind the human-Klingon hybrid as the work shift had just ended.

"It was induced by exotic radiation buildup from something I experienced in the past. The problem is corrected now," Harry explained, not exactly lying.

The mage's powers were an exotic form of radiation even if Federation science couldn't detect that type of radiation yet.

"I suppose that's the best answer we are going to get," Kathryn said as she lay down next to the mage and hugged him. "I'm just glad you are ok."

"If you say you are alright then that is good enough for us," Kes added, also hugging the handsome male.

"How have your days gone?" The sorcerer inquired of his beauties.

As the three women filled their man in on their days he basked in the wonderful companionship their presence provided. All the while a portion of the eldest Potter's mind was communing with Hogwarts and directing that powerful ship's highly automated systems to carrying out his will. The duplicate Voyager was being upgraded and Hogwarts was thoroughly scanning its creator's physiology to make sure the new level of power did not induce any unforeseen side effects. Other than the incredible increase in energy levels Harry didn't see any downside to the doubling of his energy. But as the ancient mage had learned, only time would truly tell what the future would bring. That was life.

Stardate 49603.3…

The eldest Potter was spending some guy time with his friend Harry Kim when the pair was requested to report to the bridge. Voyager had come upon a habitable planet.

"Take us in a little closer to the planet Mr. Paris," Kathryn requested of her mate. "Mr. Kim, scan the surface."

"The electromagnetic signature of the planet indicates that a major solar flare struck this world nineteen years ago," Kim announced a minute later.

"This looks like a glacial freeze," Chakotay commented.

"The solar flare radically changed the weather conditions," Kathryn added.

"Harry," the mage addressed his friend. "Scan below the surface for signs of life. I have a hunch you'll find something."

"I'm finding evidence of warp reactors, subspace transmitters, and other advanced technologies on the surface," Ensign Kim announced. "I'll check below the surface. Hold on, I think we're being hailed from the surface."

"Put it on screen," Kathryn ordered.

An alien with a curved triangular brow ridge appeared on the screen, saying, "I am Viorsa, planner for Telor settlement. Your sensors activated this message. By now you must be aware of the catastrophic disaster that has destroyed our home. A few of us have managed to survive this catastrophe in a state of artificial hibernation. This hibernation is programmed to end in fifteen years from the date this message was recorded. At that time, when the eco recovery has begun, we will attempt to rebuild our settlement. Please do nothing to interrupt our time table."

The message ended.

"Their time table was supposed to end four years ago," Chakotay pointed out.

"I'm continuing the scan underground like Tom suggested," Ensign Kim announced. "I have three feint humanoid bio-signatures consistent with stasis technology."

"Can you detect a malfunction in the hibernation systems from this distance to explain why they didn't wake up on schedule?" Kathryn queried, feeling she already knew the answer but wanting to ask in case it would save time.

"No Captain," Kim replied. "There is too much rock between us and the stasis chamber to get that much of a precise reading. I can get an accurate beaming lock. There are also two more humanoids at the same location that are deceased."

"Mr. Tuvok, are you reading any automated security systems?" Kathryn asked the Vulcan.

"No weapons of any kind detected Captain," the Chief of Security answered. "It is safe to transport the pods to Voyager."

"Transport the pods to cargo bay one," the redhead ordered Tuvok. "Mr. Kim, Mr. Paris you are with me. Kes, report to cargo bay one with your medical kit," the Captain added over the ship's com system.

"Aye Captain," Kes acknowledged.

OP – Star Trek Voyager – OP – Star Trek Voyager – OP – Star Trek Voyager – OP

The pods were long cylinders arrayed at an angle around a central control array. The pods were big enough to contain the human-sized alien species.

"Two of the humanoids are dead," Kes confirmed. "The other three are in deep stasis."

"Here is our messenger," Kathryn announced after wiping ice off one of the transparent windows covering the face level portion of the pods. "Did the system malfunction?" The Captain asked her mate after wiping off another pod to reveal a blackened corpse.

"Not in the traditional sense. There is no physical failure in the hibernation pods. I'm detecting a virtual reality linked between the minds of the beings in the pods. Their minds are active while in these pods," Harry explained.

"This computer is controlling the interface and making it possible," Kim added while indicating the console connecting the pods.

"Starfleet used a similar technology when stasis was required for deep space travel," Kathryn pointed out.

Harry remembered the technology well. Luckily wizards had leaped beyond a need for stasis technology thanks to their inherit ability to manipulate the universe.

"That sounds like a good way to wait out a planetary catastrophe," Kes suggested.

"But what went wrong? Why are these beings still in stasis?" Kathryn inquired.

"We will begin an analysis immediately," Harry assured.

"I will be looking forward to the briefing," Kathryn said before leaving the bay.

OP – Star Trek Voyager – OP – Star Trek Voyager – OP – Star Trek Voyager – OP

Later that day in the main briefing room…

"The stasis system left it up to the beings preserved in stasis to decide when it was safe to come out of the virtual environment. Unfortunately the programmers weren't very good about distinguishing between conscious and unconscious decisions. What we have here is a classic case of a civilization being just advanced enough to get themselves into trouble. They were advanced enough to create stasis technology and the basics of a neural interface. The hardware isn't what is lacking. It's the software that is found wanting in this situation," Harry explained.

"And it is found wanting in a serious way," the Doctor declared during the wizard's intentional pause, appearing on a wall screen. "The two victims died from massive heart failure. Residual hormone traces suggest the deceased experienced massive heart attacks as a result of extreme fear. I suspect they were killed in this virtual environment and this resulted in their bodies shutting down."

"Alright…maybe this wasn't such a good way to wait out an apocalyptic event," Kes said, retracting her earlier statement.

"Not so much," Harry agreed. "The Doctor has also uncovered evidence of prior neural trauma. It is very likely these beings were terrorized long before they died. I believe their subconscious fears have combined to manifest some kind of malicious semi-sentient program within the operating system of the control computer."

"It sounds like we should get the three survivors out immediately," Chakotay suggested, stating the obvious.

"We can't just unplug them. You have three brains that have depended upon this computer system for survival for nineteen years. It could cause massive brain damage if we were to shut the program down improperly," the Doctor explained.

"I don't know the system well enough to make any suggestions at this time. We will need further time for an analysis," Ensign Kim announced.

"The aliens in the system know it well. We could ask them how to proceed," Tuvok suggested. "The two unoccupied pods could be used."

"You are suggesting we insert two crewmembers into a system that has obviously killed its previous occupants," Harry pointed out.

"We could add a backup life support system using our own computer and medical stasis technology," Ensign Kim suggested.

"I think that is a foolish idea and unnecessary. I can create an interface for the Doctor's program so that he can enter the virtual environment without fear of harm. If you are willing that is," the sorcerer added to the physician.

"Of course I am willing," the Doctor replied.

"How long will it take you to create the interface?" Kathryn questioned.

"With B'Elanna's help I will have something within an hour," Harry assured.

"That is the course of action we will take then," Kathryn announced.

OP – Star Trek Voyager – OP – Star Trek Voyager – OP – Star Trek Voyager – OP

An hour later…

The interface connecting the emergency medical hologram computer core to the stasis pod was in place. Harry had made sure quite a few protections were in place to protect the Doctor. By now the Doctor could be considered a fully sentient life form after the eldest Potter had spent so much time upgrading the Doctor's program.

"Just look around for no more than five minutes and then come back out to report to us," Harry instructed.

"Understood," the Doctor said from the wall screen.

Moments later the Doctor disappeared. It was a tense five minutes before the Doctor reappeared with a grave expression on his face.

"What is the problem inside the virtual environment?" Chakotay inquired.

"Your caution was well founded Mr. Paris. It seems the alien colonists have been taken hostage by a manifestation of their fear. The manifestation is made possible by the virtual environment control's programming. The fear being will not let the hostages go and has already killed the two deceased colonists we found," the Doctor explained.

"I thought as much," Harry said.

"How do we rescue the colonists?" Kathryn wanted to know.

"The fear being said it would kill the hostages if we tried to remove even one being from the system," the Doctor announced. "He means business. The environment has other beings controlled by the fear being which look like creatures out of some horrible circus. These three colonists are being led around and controlled mentally at all times. I was able to ascertain that there is a delay between when the colonists think something and when the fear being becomes aware of that knowledge."

"If I make a few improvements to your program Doctor you should be able to overcome the fear being while those of us on the outside remove the colonists from the system. Essentially you will be engaging the fear being in combat long enough for us to rescue the hostages," Harry suggested.

"What kinds of modifications?" The physician inquired with some trepidation.

"Doctor, I'm going to teach you how to fight," the warrior mage announced with a grin.

This education in fighting eventually gave the Doctor the knowledge about how the virtual environment worked and exactly where the fear being's program was most vulnerable.

"Are you ready for this Doctor?" Kathryn asked the physician.

"I believe I am," the Doctor confirmed.

"We will revive the hostages as quickly as possible," Kes assured.

"Here I go," the Doctor announced before vanishing into the virtual environment.

Immediately B'Elanna began the revival procedures on the control council while the Doctor fought and overpowered the fear being. The revivals took a minute to take effect but when they did the three aliens awoke almost simultaneously.

"Where are we?" Viorsa, the leader of the small group of survivors inquired.

"And how did we escape?" The female among the trio of colonists asked.

"Your rescue takes a bit of explanation but you are onboard the Federation Starship Voyager. My name is Kathryn Janeway. If you will allow me to explain our Doctor will examine you to make sure you are suffering no lasting effects from your imprisonment," Kathryn said as the Doctor reappeared.

The fear being was no more.

"Just another day in the Delta quadrant," B'Elanna announced as she began further analyzing the depowered stasis systems to see if there was any knowledge to glean pertaining to the fear being's development.

"Indeed," Harry agreed with his lover.

Stardate 49690.1…

When Harry, Kathryn, and the rest of their away team touched down on the surface of the third planet from the local star in the system Voyager was currently in they arrived on a bright and hospitable looking world. This appearance was in contrast to the warning the Voyager's crew had received from Dr. Denara Pel. Denara had warned that this particular planet was home to a burrowing type insect called a wassoop. The wassoop was the carrier of a particularly nasty virus which would kill most beings that contracted it should that being leave the atmosphere of the planet the wassoop called home. The Vidiians had already cured the tricky virus but there was no reason the away team should take a risk. To that end, the immortal sorcerer had constructed a device for the Voyager crew to use.

"Mind your personal shield device," Janeway instructed the members of her away team. "While Tom has conducted many hours of testing on the shield emitters it is the first time such a miniaturized version has been carried into the field."

"Aye Captain," the assorted crew members replied.

"We will rendezvous back here in three hours," Janeway instructed. "Keep with your designated partners."

After the team of eight had split up into pairs Harry walked beside his red haired mate as she began analyzing the local species of alien fauna and flora.

"I took the liberty of analyzing the design of these shield generators," Kathryn informed her lover while glancing to her left at him and fingering the small triangular shield emitter secured to her uniform top next to her communicator. "These devices are beyond even Borg technology, at least centuries beyond I would say."

"Do I detect a question there?" Harry teased.

"Not really. I know better than that by now. I was just wondering if you had any comment on the great leap in technological complexity," Janeway explained.

Like all things made accessible to the Federation by Harry the model of personal shield he had "invented" recently was in fact an older version of a Potter's Moon generated technology. The current model of shield could withstand sustained phaser fire on the kill setting for five minutes, most small to medium sized explosions, and the vacuum of space for several hours. The more advanced versions relied on charged runes for power sources and could therefore withstand a great deal more punishment, especially if they drew directly from a wizard or witch's power core. The model Kathryn was wearing was more advanced than the model her mate had released to Voyager's computer as were the versions Kes and B'Elanna were in possession of.

"I'm just a genius," Harry declared with a cheeky grin.

"Well of course," Kathryn replied with a roll of her eyes at her partner, internally amused at his evasion of her attempts to probe about the mystery he was keeping from her and his other lovers. "Come on, the sensor readings as we established orbit suggested there were some interesting plants to see over this way."

Harry followed his mate and helped her collect samples for the next couple of hours. By the time the away team met back at the rendezvous point their shields had been tested again and again by the attempts of the wassoop insects in the vicinity to bite them. In each attempt the wassoop insects had been violently repelled. The away team returned to Voyager considering their mission a success before the Federation vessel went to maximum warp and resumed its journey back to the Alpha quadrant and home.

Stardate 50126.4…

"I'm showing all systems as go," B'Elanna announced as she read over the readouts from the systems onboard the Domum communications shuttle.

The shuttle was the culmination of months of research and experimentation on the part of Harry and B'Elanna. Using a perfected warp 10 propulsion and navigation system the converted shuttle craft would ferry messages between Earth and Voyager. Domum meant home in Latin and that was what the shuttle represented for the Voyager crew. Although biological beings could not pass safely through the transwarp threshold, anything else was fare game.

"Is the message package loaded?" Kathryn inquired.

"Yes Captain," Ensign Kim confirmed.

Earth would be receiving a complete report of Voyager's journey along with massive amounts of sensor data gathered by the Starfleet vessel since its arrival in the Delta quadrant.

"Send her on her way then," Kathryn instructed.

"What now?" Ensign Kim asked.

"Now we wait," Harry declared.

OP – Star Trek Voyager – OP – Star Trek Voyager – OP – Star Trek Voyager – OP

Two days later the Domum fell into warp alongside her mother-ship. Starfleet had received the design for the transwarp drive technology and would have their own message shuttles constructed soon enough. In the meantime Starfleet wanted its wayward crew to know they had received the information and were working on the problem. Voyager had been thought lost after it had disappeared in the Badlands. It would take time for Starfleet to sort through the reports and sensor readings.

"It's what we expected," Kathryn pointed out over dinner as she shared the meal with her boyfriend and his many mates.

"I think the whole crew is just relieved we were able to get in contact with Earth," Kes pointed out, having sensed as much telepathically.

"We will be starting up the supply shipments tomorrow. It will be nice to have access to some of the harder to manufacture parts," B'Elanna mused.

"We should be coming up on a habitable world in the next few days," Harry announced, having been informed of this by Ensign Kim.

"We will have to partake in a little shore leave to relieve some of the excitement that built up over the contact with Earth," Kathryn mused.

"A planet-side date with our man…how fun," Kes happily suggested.

"We will have to take him in shifts because Voyager really shouldn't go without her Chief Engineer and Captain at the same time," Kathryn pointed out.

"I call first dibs," B'Elanna immediately replied.

Smiling amusedly at her friend Kathryn said, "That is fine by me. Just don't get into too much mischief and upset the natives."

"I predict you will be the one to get into trouble with Tom," B'Elanna teasingly told the redhead.

Harry's three mates were a lot more relaxed while off duty than they were when on duty. It showed in the way B'Elanna was able to tease her commanding officer.

"So," Kes began hesitantly. "What are you going to do about Mark?"

The Ocampan's question was directed to Kathryn in regards to her fiancé back on Earth.

"I sent him a letter in the first batch of messages. I imagine he has already moved on or at least come to terms with my disappearance. I told him I have finally moved on after concluding we had no way of contacting Earth and would likely spend most of our lives in space," Kathryn explained. "I'm with Tom now," the redhead added as she took her mate's hand and smiled warmly at him.

"Someone has it bad," B'Elanna teased, breaking the moment.

"You're one to talk," Kes told B'Elanna. "Don't forget, I can sense how much you care for Tom."

Harry soaked up the atmosphere of being with his ladies. It was a decidedly different experience from the meal he was also sharing with the alternate versions of the three women onboard the Alternate-Voyager. Just the knowledge the three alternates possessed about their man's true past made their interactions with him quite a bit different. The sorcerer had taken to having one or two meals a day with his other mates even if he didn't always eat as much due to the increased frequency of meals. Time travel made this all possible.

Stardate 50155.3…

"This has been a really fun day," Tana Delaney declared as she strolled down the bustling street in the capitol city of the Akritirian home-world, her arm intertwined with Harry Kim's.

"It has, hasn't it," B'Elanna agreed as she walked next to her man holding his arm.

"I especially loved the aquarium. Some of those alien fish were really exotic looking," Kim suggested. "And that one pod of fish kept following Tom all around the aquarium no matter where we went."

"That's because they were all females," B'Elanna pointed out amusedly.

"You do seem to have that effect on females of just about any species," Kim teased his friend.

"I can't help it," Harry replied with a shrug. "How about we go have a drink in that bar," the mage suggested as he spotted a bar filled with mostly government workers up ahead.

"Sounds good to me," Tana agreed.

The other two nodded their agreement. As the quartet drew within a dozen yards of the bar the warrior wizard's instincts screamed danger at him. The violent explosion blew out the front of the bar and sent a hail of debris flying towards the Voyager crewmembers. The world seemed to slow down around the immortal as his mind calculated the force of the blast and whether or not the personal shields he and his companions wore would cut it. Harry didn't act to intervene when he was convinced the shields would in fact protect his friends.

The debris flared out of existence as they impacted the energy shields all Voyager crew wore. The screams of the nearby surviving Akritirians were evident to the quartet even as the ringing in their ears began to subside. Harry drew a hand scanner and began scanning the wreckage of the destroyed establishment. Barely a minute later government officials and law enforcement personnel began to pour out of the nearby federal buildings.

"Detain those Voyager crew," a higher official barked at one of his underlings.

As half a dozen law officers moved to arrest Harry and his companions the mage activated his communications badge and instructed, "Voyager, four to transport."

Quickly the quartet vanished in the telltale light of the transporter.

"What did you do that for Tom?" Kim demanded. "Now they're going to think we were guilty of something."

"They are going to accuse us anyway," Harry assured.

"How do you know that?" Tana asked.

"Follow me to the bridge and I will explain to the Captain at the same time," the warrior wizard replied.

The couple agreed and along with B'Elanna followed the pilot to the bridge.

"What is going on Tom?" Kathryn prompted as her mate stepped off the turbo-lift. "We detected an explosion near your last location."

"Some person or persons used trilithium explosives to bomb a bar frequented by government employees. I knew as soon as I saw the scans that Voyager would be blamed. There is very little trilithium in this sector," Harry explained.

B'Elanna walked over to the sensor station and punched up the sensor logs from the sweep of the system.

"No, but there is plenty of paralithium," the Human-Klingon hybrid announced. "Paralithium can be converted into trilithium."

"Captain, Ambassador Lina is hailing us," Harry Kim announced as he took his station.

"On screen," Kathryn prompted. "Am I to assume you are contacting us about this bombing we detected Ambassador?"

"Yes, in fact I am. The bombing of that recreational facility resulted in the death of forty-seven off duty patrollers," the Ambassador announced, his tone accusing. "Our scans have revealed the explosive is trilithium based. We see your ship is powered by dilithium. Our scientists tell us it is convertible into trilithium."

"Yes, and so is paralithium, something that is used on many lower speed vessels for propulsion," Kathryn rebutted.

The Ambassador ignored this point and said, "We have long suspected the so called Open Sky Terrorist possessed off world accomplices. Now we know who they are."

Tuvok's station beeped an alarm and the Vulcan announced, "Captain, two Akritirian vessels are approaching at bearing 2761 mark four."

"Prepare your ship for inspection Captain," the Ambassador declared. "Your vessel is being impounded and you and your crew are under arrest."

"Captain, their ships are powering weapons," Tuvok announced. "The Promethium drive is at maximum efficiency."

"I'm afraid our visit in your system will be cut short Ambassador. I will not allow your suspicious and foolish nature to delay my vessel's Voyage home. Be warned, your craft do not stand a chance," the Captain declared before signaling to cut the communication.

Two craft, each half the mass of Voyager, opened fire at that moment. The twin beams of energy pulsed through space and impacted the Promethium shield. The specialized energy was converted inside the advanced shielding system's reactor into the type of energy Voyager's systems used. The drive channeled the energy into replicators which synthesized more dilithium. Voyager didn't even bother wasting energy responding before she jumped to warp.

"The Akritirians are pursuing Captain," Tuvok informed his friend. "They are having trouble keeping up."

"Good, let them chase us all they like. I will make a note to handle this species with care with Starfleet comes back to this sector of space in the future," Kathryn announced. "Even the Andorians were not this bad when we made first contact."

"They were with my people," Tuvok noted dryly.

"In defense of the Andorians, your people were spying on them Tuvok," Chakotay pointed out amusedly.

The Vulcan merely inclined his head and raised one eyebrow in acknowledgement of this fact. Soon Voyager outran the patrol vessels and was speeding back towards the Alpha quadrant and home.

Stardate 50252.3…

Harry and B'Elanna were away from Voyager in a shuttlecraft investigating some intermittent sensor readings detected that morning. Voyager's warp drive was down for a short time for routine maintenance.

"We have been out here coming up on five hours without any sign of those energy signatures Harry picked up," B'Elanna said to her mate. "They were probably just galactic background noise."

"I have a feeling we will find out soon enough," the mage suggested. "Are you alright?" Harry inquired as his mate cried out in pain after trying to stand in order to stretch.

"A cramp…Klingon bodies weren't meant to sit in a cockpit for five hours at a stretch," B'Elanna declared.

"Here, let me," Harry replied as he reached and grasped his partner's leg, starting to massage her calve muscles and channeling his energy.

"Oh…yeah…that's what I'm talking about. You have simply magical hands Tom," B'Elanna declared happily as the pain vanished instantly at her lover's touch. "You are too good to me," the hybrid added as she leaned forward and kissed her man, tasting his lips and feeling a desire in herself for more.

Suddenly the console started beeping an alert.

"We pick up the signatures now," B'Elanna complained, frustrated.

"Don't worry love. I will take care of you later," Harry assured as he examined the readings. "We have crossed into a tachyon field. It's a sensor network." Suddenly the ship rocked as Harry typed away furiously at the helm. "The tachyon field messed with our sensors. A ship has latched onto our hull."

Suddenly the pair sensed someone or something behind them and turned to see two alien creatures transport in.

"We are Starfleet officers," B'Elanna began to introduce but was cut off when the two aliens raised weapons and fired.

The personal shields of the two Voyager crew caught the energy fire and stopped it cold. Quicker than the two aliens could perceive the mage raised his own weapon. The modified phaser's beam lashed out twice and disintegrated the alien attackers.

"Let's get back to Voyager," Harry suggested.

"I agree. Luckily their ship was small and we can tow it with us," B'Elanna replied as she examined readings of the small vessel attached to the shuttle's hull.

The alien craft was only slightly smaller than the shuttle.

"We will be back on Voyager in half an hour. Just enough time for me to take care of your frustrations beautiful," the sorcerer asserted as he knelt in front of his partner and turned her to face him.

B'Elanna smiled as she discerned what her man had in mind. She propped her legs up on Tom's shoulders as he helped expose her womanhood. Harry then reminded B'Elanna that he was good at using his tongue for more than just eloquent words.

"Do you know why these beings tried attacking you?" Kathryn asked her mates when they had returned to Voyager and had explained the brief encounter.

"We can't be sure but it probably has something to do with this sensor net we passed through," Harry suggested.

Kathryn noticed the signs which signaled the Human-Klingon hybrid had experienced a very good away mission with their lover. The redhead ignored this, not begrudging the Chief Engineer her time with their man.

"Tuvok, send a message on all subspace bands to see if we can't get a response out of these aliens. They might just tell us why they attacked. Meanwhile I will ask Denara to see if she knows anything of this species," the redhead announced.

"Aye Captain," Tuvok agreed.

The Main Briefing Room…

"I have made numerous hails on numerous subspace bands. The only response I have received has been a single repeating message," Tuvok explained.

The Chief of Security played a message in the tongue of the aliens which had attacked B'Elanna and her man.

"The Universal Translator can't decipher the language. These aliens are really different than your average species," Harry mused.

"Harry, re-modulate the translator to see if you can decipher those sounds," Kathryn instructed Ensign Kim.

"Try using references of known insectoid species. From the encounter B'Elanna and I had with the two aliens I disintegrated I believe they are insectoid," the pilot suggested, earning a nod of agreement from Kim.

"What can you tell us Denara?" Kathryn queried.

Denara and the Doctor were present in the conference room. Many parts of the ship other than sick bay had received holo-emitter arrays since Denara's inclusion in the Voyager crew compliment.

"If this is the species I think it is then Lieutenants Paris and Torres are lucky to be alive. Virtually nothing is known about this species except that they attack any ship that enters their region of space. They are fiercely protective of what they consider their territory," Denara explained. "I have heard that ships which enter this specie's space either don't return or auto-pilot out of the region with dead crews."

"Territorial defensiveness is common in a hive mentality such as insectoid species sometimes possess," Tuvok pointed out.

"My people have been analyzing the small vessel we towed back from our encounter," B'Elanna announced as she read off of her personal computer. "They are still working on it but so far we have turned up some fairly advanced weaponry. There is one weapon that can drain energy away from shield systems. A single ship of this size alone wouldn't be much good against a ship of Voyager's class but many such small ships would be quite dangerous."

"Can we come up with a defense against it?" Kathryn questioned.

"Give me a couple of hours and I think we can whip up something," Harry replied.

"That is good news," Chakotay replied. "Given what we have observed of their claimed territory it would take over fifteen months to skirt around their space even if we could travel constantly at maximum warp."

"Which we most definitely cannot do," B'Elanna asserted, having just got the warp engines up and running after the most recent course of routine maintenance.

"Would it affect your decision if I pointed out that encroaching on the territory of an alien species is prohibited?" Tuvok asked.

"Not at all," Kathryn replied.

"Captain, you have surprised me," Tuvok declared.

"We are far from Federation space Tuvok. We are not going to detour for over a year just because this species is unusually hostile," the redhead announced. "We have work to do people. Let's get to it."

With that the meeting broke up.

Alternate-Voyager…

"I don't like you mucking about in my systems Mr. Potter," the Doctor complained as Harry finished putting the finishing touches on some upgrades to the EMH's systems.

B'Elanna was watching over her mate's shoulder as he implemented the changes to the hologram's programs.

"Relax honey," Denara said to her lover. "He already told you the changes have been implemented with your counterpart on the other Voyager. We know the changes are safe."

"Besides, without this all the work Harry and I have done on your program could be undone," B'Elanna pointed out. "Your original program was never meant to stay on for long periods. Harry's programming skills are simply beyond anything anyone in Starfleet possesses," the beauty admitted.

It was definitely interesting for Harry to be referred to by his birth name when with the Alternate-Voyager's crew but it helped him to keep the two separate ships from blending together.

"Play nice Doctor and maybe I will think about building you two a set of mobile emitters," Harry suggested.

"Mobile emitters…I like the sound of that," the Doctor declared, a smile forming on his features as his girlfriend nodded her agreement.

"I do so love how much miniaturizing your people can do love," B'Elanna informed her mate.

"The ability to shrink virtually anything with our powers is handy," Harry agreed. "Connect the last upgrade chip would you dear?" B'Elanna did as directed. "There, you are now a fully sentient form of life Doctor."

"Thank you Harry," Denara said for her mate who was staring off into seemingly nowhere as he accessed his upgraded systems. "I think he will be busy for a little while."

"Let me know how you like the new skill upgrade," Harry declared with a mischievous grin as he walked out the door of sick bay.

"What skill upgrade?" Denara asked herself as the door closed behind the couple.

"Yes, what upgrade?" B'Elanna questioned her mate as they walked.

"Oh, I may have given the Doctor some of my oral skills," the pilot replied with a grin.

B'Elanna let out a bark like laugh.

"Ancestors, Harry," said B'Elanna. "I needed that. Would you care to join me for some portal leave back on Earth?"

Harry had set up one of his wormhole portals to convey Alternate-Voyager's crew between their ship and the Earth of Libby's universe. It had been difficult to get the Starfleet of that universe to agree to allow an alternate Voyager crew to have free run of their Earth but Harry had been quite persuasive. The realization of the technology this powerful mage possessed and the possibility of gaining such technology had made the administration of Starfleet fall all over themselves to please Harry.

"I don't know…is Libby still mad at me for seducing her and not bringing back her Harry Kim?" The warlock queried.

"Ancestors no Harry," B'Elanna assured with some exasperation. "How could any woman stay mad at you for that when you presented it the way you did?" The engineer asked, somewhat rhetorically.

"Well at least that plan worked," Harry muttered.

The immortal Potter had waited until Libby was in the middle of her thirty-fifth consecutive orgasm in one session of love making before revealing his past telepathically to the woman. Libby hadn't really known how to feel at the time but she had let him pleasure her into fifteen more orgasms so she couldn't be too mad.

"Clearly," B'Elanna replied with dry amusement.

"I suppose it will be fun to join you," the mage agreed. "Let's go," suggested Harry as he took his lover's arm and headed towards the portal compartment.

At the culmination of their portal leave the aggressive Klingon-Human hybrid would initiate a threesome between Libby and their boyfriend which would leave no doubt in the wizard's mind that Libby was not in the least displeased with him.

"What do you have for me Tom?" Kathryn asked her lover after she came onto the bridge from making her rounds of the ship.

"I have determined that this shield draining technology is not very effective against our Promethium drive but over a prolonged period of attack the shield drainers could disrupt our shields enough to allow an attack through despite the Promethium drive. It's really quite an ingenious technology. It's like a proactive form of the Promethium technology. The difference is that the proactive form takes many more drives than our purely defensive technology," Harry explained. Of course the reason for the lack of efficiency and miniaturization in the alien design was the lack of wizarding reality manipulation capabilities. "I think I can probably improve upon the design over time and come up with a much better weapon. But that is neither here nor there at this time. Our friends the Romulans gave me an idea."

"How did they manage that?" Kathryn queried, amused at her mate referring to the Romulans as friends.

"I have managed to duplicate an old holo-cloaking technology the Romulans used to try to start war between the systems neighboring their space," Harry clarified. "I've miniaturized the technology and already B'Elanna is deploying the technology across our hull."

"If I recall correctly the Romulans were able to mimic other ships," Tuvok broke in to point out. "How does that help us here?"

B'Elanna walked onto the bridge at that moment to hear that question and answered, "We will use the shields to bend the tachyon beams the aliens are using for a sensor network around Voyager. And then if we are detected while inside the territory of these aliens we can use this holo-cloak to mimic an asteroid. As long as we aren't deeply scanned we can evade being attacked, hopefully."

"I like it. Are the holo-emitters in place?" Kathryn queried.

"Yes Captain," the Chief Engineer replied.

"Then take us in," the Captain ordered.

Harry took the ship into the enemy's territory on a course that would see the ship through a narrow section of the hostile territory. The hostile space would take four days to cross at high warp.

"Captain, long range sensors show a large vessel approximately five light-years from our current position," Tuvok announced. "It is quite large."

"It isn't a single vessel but a swarm of smaller vessels like the one that attacked B'Elanna and I," Harry corrected as he brought the image up on the view screen.

"There must be thousands of them," Chakotay observed.

"I am not reading any energy signatures therefore their propulsion systems are likely offline," Tuvok stated.

"Let's just get through the sensor net and hope they don't detect as we pass through their space," Kathryn urged.

The pilot took the ship through the sensor network and Ensign Kim announced, "I believe we succeeded Captain."

"I concur. The swarm of ships has not changed position," Tuvok said.

"I will proceed at warp 9.75. We shouldn't have too much difficulty sustaining that given the recent maintenance we just went through. That should get us through the hostile territory in thirty-six hours," Harry informed his crewmates.

"Mr. Tuvok, keep me informed on the status of those ships. Let's get to it people," Kathryn instructed.

As Voyager jumped to warp Harry noticed something unusual going on.

"Captain, I am picking up a resonant particle wave that is providing interference with our warp field," Harry announced as he brought B'Elanna into the conversation. "Adjust the promethium drive to the settings I am sending you B'Elanna and that should compensate."

Several moments later the drag effect disappeared.

"The distortion has disappeared Tom, but I wonder what was causing it," B'Elanna replied.

"I am suspicious the effect was due to some weapons testing this species has been performing in this region of space. That is likely also why they didn't want any other species entering this region of space or the weapons research would be detected," Harry replied.

"I have never heard of a weapon that would cause this effect," Chakotay suggested.

"It corresponds to some of the effects of the early Promethium drive research. But the drive's developers never saw a distortion field on this scale. I think we should suggest that Starfleet train some long range sensors on this region of space for further study," Harry urged.

"We will do so," Kathryn agreed.

Hours later, at the start of the next duty shift, Kathryn said, "I feel like I am back in high school when I snuck out of the house past my parents' bedroom."

Amused, Harry suggested, "Your parents must have been pretty scary people if they made you feel like you might get attacked by energy weapons."

Despite his teasing tone, Kathryn would make her boyfriend pay for that comment later.

"Captain, I am detecting another ship which is not part of the swarm. This other ship is damaged," Tuvok announced.

"I am reading the same scans and there are no life signs onboard," Harry announced as his AI on Hogwarts quickly masked the true life signs from Voyager's sensors. "I recommend we don't stop. This would be a good method of baiting a trap for trespassers."

There was in fact a feint life sign. The injured alien would die without extraordinary medical intervention. Even the Doctor and Denara with all their skill wouldn't be able to save that alien. And Hogwarts' sensors had detected the small swarm ship attached to the hull of the damaged alien vessel. Hogwarts' AI would retrieve the injured alien, heal the being, and then transport the alien to its home-world all without being detected.

"Agreed," Kathryn decided, recognizing the wisdom in her boyfriend's caution. "Don't drop out of warp. Keep on going," the redhead instructed.

Hogwarts…

"So this is an alternate universe," Libby said as she stepped out of the portal onboard Hogwarts.

A large window dominated the wall on the outer hull which showed the view of the warp field fluctuating rapidly around the advanced vessel.

"Indeed," Harry confirmed as he led his girlfriend over to the window. "Is it what you thought it would be?"

"Well I didn't really know what to think. My boyfriend is a super powerful being from another universe. I'm still trying to wrap my head around that idea," Libby answered as she leaned back and laid her head on the warlock's shoulder and stared out into space. "I cleared the air with Harry Kim when he visited on portal leave."

"I know, he told me," the mage replied.

"We are good now. I understand he was never my Harry. You know, it's really confusing that you are named Harry and so is he. But now you are my Harry. You have shown me so much I never would have been able to see without you in my universe. I hope it will be the same in this reality," Libby suggested as she turned in the wizard's embrace and stared into his bright eyes, leaning up and kissing him tenderly.

"Mmm…your lips taste good," the mage moaned.

"So what are we going to do first Mr. Potter?" Libby asked.

"What would you like to do? The AI on the ship has already dispatched a space portal to the surrounding space. So the Starfleet vessel of your universe should be coming through soon to monitor these local aliens under stealth," Harry explained.

"How about you give me a tour of Hogwarts and then we can go from there," Libby suggested.

"That sounds like a plan," the warlock agreed as he took his lover's hand and began to give her the comprehensive tour of his ship.

While Libby became acclimated to the new universe she would be visiting often and even staying in Hogwarts for prolonged periods of time. Voyager slipped neatly through the hostile territory. The crews of both versions of the greatly displaced Starfleet vessel breathed sighs of relief when they passed out of the space occupied by the alien swarm of ships. It was just another adventure in the Delta quadrant.

Author's Note:

The story I mentioned in the author's note at the end of the last chapter still has not been located. The story I am seeking is not Nobody Told Me the Rules by Zaxaramas or A Curse of Truth by Butalearner. The stories are similar. But Zaxaramas' and Butalearner's stories do not have the self-insert paired with Hermione. Additionally Hermione went after the self-insert character after he returned to his universe in the story I am seeking. She brought him back I think. That did not happen in these other two fics. I also recall the self-insert character being able to use wandless magic.
