Harry awoke in the middle of the night and sat up. B'Elanna and Kes were lying with their heads on his chest while Kathryn was next to the Ocampan. Kes was also awake.
"Did you sense it too?" Kes whispered.
"Yes," the mage replied as B'Elanna stirred and let out a small moan. "She's aroused. A telepath is influencing her."
"Is it one of the Enarans?" Kes queried, knowing her mate was far more skilled in the mental arts than she.
The Enarans were a race which had a weaker version of telepathy. Voyager was taking a group of Enarans to the Enaran home world. The planet was in Voyager's path and the transport would be no trouble. The Enarans in exchange were analyzing Voyager's power distribution systems to see if they could improve efficiency at all. So far the Enarans were hard pressed to make any improvements after the modifications Harry and B'Elanna had made in their free time.
"They could only influence someone from this distance if that person was asleep. It's an old woman who is influencing B'Elanna's dreams. She means B'Elanna no harm but while the memories may be pleasant now they won't remain that way," Harry answered while staring off in the distance towards the nearby quarters the Enaran in question was staying in.
"What should we do about it?" Kes asked worriedly.
"Don't trouble yourself. I will take care of it," the mage assured, placing his hand on the blonde's head and drawing her lips to his for a kiss.
Kes sighed in happiness and fell asleep under the influence of the calming charm. Meanwhile her mate focused his powerful mind on a new task. Harry began telepathically scanning the old Enaran female's mind without her being aware of his presence and copied the memories of a covered up holocaust she wished to share with B'Elanna. The old woman, Korenna, was one of the last if not the last Enaran to remember her people's persecution and massacre of a group they called Regressives. Like the Amish of Earth the Regressives wanted to live without modern technology. The Regressives had been quietly and secretly slaughtered for their views and a cover-up was put in place. Korenna wished to pass the truth on before she died.

"Thank you for your hospitality Captain," Jareth, an older Enaran male, said as he prepared to be transported down to his home world, the last of his people to do so.
"Not at all," Kathryn replied. "I hope our two peoples will have pleasant future relations."
Jareth inclined his head and was transported away.
"Don't bet on it," Harry declared from his spot beside his mate.
"So tell me…exactly how did you resolve the situation with B'Elanna's dreams that would turn into nightmares?" Kathryn asked her lover as they left the transporter room.
"I transported the entirety of Korenna's memories she wished to pass on into one of the female Enaran engineers and did so in a way that those memories will propagate from sleeping Enaran female to sleeping Enaran female until the entire female population possesses the memories of what really happened with the Regressives," Harry explained in a calm demeanor, like the feat was nothing.
Kathryn gaped at her genius boyfriend for a moment before glancing around and seeing no crewmembers were in the corridor. The redhead pushed her mate into a nearby cargo bay and proceeded to attack his lips with her own.
As she struggled to get his uniform off a few moments later Kathryn whispered in a husky purr, "It always makes me incredibly wet when you do something so devious and brilliant."
"Mmm…I'll have to perform tricks like that more often if this is the response I get," Harry replied with a grin as his girlfriend nibbled on his ear.
No more words were exchanged between the couple for some time.

The Voyager crew was enjoying a few days of shore leave on the Nechani home world. The groups visited in shifts. B'Elanna and Kes were taking a tour of one of the Nechani temples along with several others from Voyager while Harry worked on one of his many projects onboard Voyager.
"This sanctuary honors our ancestral spirits. The presence of the spirits is very strong in this place," the Magistrate explained as he led the way through the cave tunnels which made up the sanctuary, stopping to nod in acknowledgement to two robed monks. "Those were brothers of the Nechisti Order. They have devoted their lives to the spiritual pursuit of enlightenment. Here is something you might find interesting."
"What do you think this means?" Kes asked B'Elanna as the two females paused to look at the carvings in the wall the two monks had been looking at.
"I couldn't even begin to hazard a guess. I bet Tom would know," B'Elanna suggested.
"I wish he could have come along," Kes said wistfully.
"It's good for us to have some girl time without Tom around every once in a while," B'Elanna pointed out. "Just not too often," she added.
Turning and glancing at a tunnel to the side Kes asked, "Do you hear that?"
"No, what is it?" B'Elanna questioned as she followed the blonde Ocampan down the side tunnel.
Kes didn't realize it but she hadn't actually heard a noise out loud but through her telepathic senses. The pair stopped at a bend and returned the nod of a monk that was coming out of the tunnel they were heading into.
"That is beautiful," Kes declared as the tunnel opened into a large chamber which held an archway full of a glowing light.
"A shrine of some sort," B'Elanna speculated.
"I want to take a quick look," Kes said as she started up the steps towards the archway opening.
"I don't think that is such a good idea, Kes," B'Elanna cautioned but the younger woman wasn't heeding the warning.
Seconds before Kes would have stepped into the archway her boyfriend appeared next to her and pulled her back.
"Tom," Kes exclaimed in surprise as she was pulled into her man's arms and narrowly avoided a discharge of energy.
"That archway contains a biogenic energy being. There are Tara-joules of energy contained within the being's body," Harry explained as he pulled his lover away from the archway.
"That is enough energy to kill Kes instantly," B'Elanna stated in realization.
"It could have very well shorted out her personal shield," Harry added in agreement. "You had best get back to the tour. I don't think you are supposed to be in this section of the temple."
"You're right," Kes agreed as she came out of her shock. Standing on her toes the blonde whispered into her partner's ear, "I'm so going to thank you later in our quarters."
"Looking forward to it," Harry assured.
As the two females walked back the way they had come B'Elanna said, "He's so mysterious sometimes. I didn't even see transporter light marking his arrival. Maybe he has a personal cloak and transported into a different part of the temple."
"Maybe…but his mystery makes him so much more interesting," Kes pointed out.
"Yes, yes it does," B'Elanna agreed with a smile.

Stardate 50312.1…
The moment the spatial rift opened up in front of Voyager, Hogwarts began scanning the tear in the spacetime continuum. The sensor readings were consistent with a nexus of wormholes through time. Harry began to grow immensely excited as Chakotay summoned Kathryn to the bridge.
"Report," the Captain ordered as Tuvok followed her onto the bridge.
"Some sort of spatial rift opened right in front of the ship," Chakotay reported.
"It's a distortion in the spacetime continuum with a graviton matrix," Ensign Kim added without being prompted. "It's being artificially generated."
"By whom?" Chakotay queried.
"Time travelers," Harry replied. "Brace yourselves for attack."
"The distortion field is fluctuating and something is emerging," Kim announced.
"It appears to be a small ship approximately six meters in length," Tuvok clarified while magnifying the view screen. "Sensors are detecting one human occupant. He is holding position at the perimeter of the rift."
"Chronometric readings are consistent with a ship from approximately five hundred years in the future. That's a Federation vessel," Harry added.
"How could you know that? I've never heard of chronometric readings," Kathryn pointed out.
"There were things not revealed from the original Enterprise missions that are classified beyond your pay grade Captain," Harry assured.
"The subspace signature confirms it's a Federation vessel," Ensign Kim confirmed.
"They appear to be charging weapons," Tuvok declared.
"The Promethium drive is at full power," Harry assured just before a golden colored energy beam hit Voyager.
"It's some kind of subatomic disruptor," Kim clarified.
"Returning fire full phasors," Tuvok announced after Kathryn gazed at him in a way that clearly prompted him to respond with force. Without declaring his intentions Harry altered the phasor beam so that it was more effective against the time-ship. Another volley from Voyager knocked the enemy craft's weapons offline. "We are being hailed," Tuvok added.
"On screen," Kathryn ordered.
The human pilot of the smaller Federation vessel said, "Starship Voyager, I'm Captain Braxton of the Federation time-ship Aeon. I've come from 29th century Earth five hundred years into your future. Please disengage your deflector pulse."
"Why are you firing at us?" Kathryn asked first.
"Your vessel is responsible for a disaster in my century, a temporal explosion which will destroy all of Earth's solar system," Braxton replied. "I have come back in time to prevent that occurrence. My mission is your destruction. You must not resist."
"I will need more evidence than that before I allow…," Kathryn began.
Cutting the redhead off Braxton hurriedly declared, "Debris from your secondary hull was located in the explosion."
"That is not good enough," Kathryn replied.
"No time," Braxton said before cutting off the communications.
"That guy was an idiot but his vessel has repaired its disruptor," Harry said. "I don't think he will be able to cut through the Promethium drive," the sorcerer assured as Voyager shuddered slightly from the immense power being directed at it.
"If he is telling the truth," Chakotay began.
"You are really going to let some unhinged time traveler kill you without definitive and absolute proof that we are responsible for Earth's destruction?" Harry turned on Voyager's second in command. At Chakotay's abashed look the mage turned back to his console and tapped out a sequence. Suddenly Braxton's ship was knocked back as if by a wave of force while space seemed to ripple visibly. "Never bring a subatomic disruptor to a spatial disruptor fight. He's damn lucky that was the low power setting or he would have been ripped from existence, his atoms too."
"Captain, the time-ship has been damaged and the rift is destabilizing. The time-ship is being pulled in," Tuvok announced.
"So are we. The gravitational influx of a destabilizing wormhole is quite powerful. Hold on people. It looks like we are going on a temporal vacation," Harry warned while maintaining an outwardly calm expression but inwardly he was feeling excitement.
Hogwarts could have towed both the visible and invisible Voyagers out of the rift but instead the advanced craft followed her master into the rift. Moments later the crewmembers of Voyager were picking themselves up off the deck.
"Status," Kathryn prompted.
"Primary systems are coming back online. The Promethium drive took the brunt of the power influx but it is damaged. On a good note…we have a full supply of dilithium," Tuvok replied.
"The temporal rift has collapsed," Kim announced.
"Where are we?" Chakotay asked.
"The question is when are we," Harry corrected. "We are orbiting Earth in the year 1996. We need to maintain a high orbit and engage the cloaking device. But it might already be too late. We could have already been detected."
"Is there any sign of the time-ship?" Chakotay queried.
"Not in orbit," Tuvok replied. Several moments later he added, "But I am picking up low power subspace emissions emanating from the northern hemisphere."
"That could be our friend from the 29th century since subspace technology wasn't invented for another century or so," Kathryn said. "Localize the signal."
"North American continent, pacific coast, the city of Los Angeles," Tuvok replied.
"We have to go down there," Kathryn declared with an excitement in her demeanor her mate clearly recognized. "We need to locate Captain Braxton. Chakotay, Tuvok, and Tom, you three are with me." Tapping her com badge Kathryn said, "B'Elanna you are in charge of the ship while I take the rest of the senior officers down to the surface."
"Understood Captain," the Chief Engineer replied.
"As I recall Tom, you are something of an expert on the 20th century. What will we need to pass as locals in this era?" Kathryn asked her boyfriend while he followed her into the turbo-lift.
"I will pick out an appropriate wardrobe and ensure we have the correct currency," Harry replied.
After arriving in L.A. the away team members not born in that century were treated to a diverse assortment of characters walking the streets that was as entertaining to watch as any trade center on another planet.
"We could have kept our Starfleet uniforms and it is highly unlikely anyone would have taken notice," Tuvok observed.
"Yes, but this wardrobe is so fun," Harry asserted while admiring the tight jeans which framed his girlfriend's butt nicely.
"The subspace readings are coming from within a hundred meter radius of our position," Kathryn informed her companions. "I can't pinpoint the exact source for some reason."
"I find it hard to believe a ship from the 29th century landed on this beach without being noticed," Chakotay pointed out.
"That is assuming the ship is what is giving off the readings. I think it is far more likely we are tracking Braxton and some tech he had on him. I would suggest some offworld visitor from this era could be the source of these readings but we would likely be able to pinpoint that subspace emission. It is documented that aliens visited Earth long before the Vulcans made first contact. Braxton's technology would be the most likely source of a hard to pinpoint signal given our advanced level of technology relative to what is common in this era in this region of space," Harry suggested.
"We should spread out to cover more ground. Tom, Tuvok, go check the shoreline while Chakotay and I check the boardwalk," Kathryn decided, knowing she wouldn't be able to keep her hands off her mate if she were alone with him in the suddenly frisky mood she found herself in.
The beauty was not oblivious to her partner's admiring glances and would not deny him if he pressed her.
"Aye Captain," Tuvok responded. After fifteen minutes of searching on the beach the Chief of Security announced, "Subspace readings are weaker here."
"Then let's head back up to the boardwalk," Harry suggested.
"Torres to the away team," B'Elanna's voice came over the communicators.
"Go ahead B'Elanna," Kathryn prompted.
"It appears the Promethium drive took more of a beating than we thought. Some of the extra power was shunted into secondary systems. Long range transporters are currently down. It will take some time to get them back up. We do have short range transporters but we would have to be pretty low in altitude to use them," B'Elanna explained.
"The cloak should still function even in atmosphere assuming it wasn't damaged," Harry put forth.
"As far as we can tell it wasn't. But you have the most experience with those systems," B'Elanna replied.
Just then Ensign Kim broke into the communication, saying, "I'm picking up an EM signal from the planet's surface directed at our position. I am putting it onscreen and relaying it to your tricorders now."
"That is the old standard SETI greeting. It was meant to be a first contact protocol during the days before extraterrestrial life was confirmed to exist," Harry explained.
"We are tracking a man who appears to be the source of the subspace signal," Kathryn announced. "He appears to live on the street. Tom, can you and Tuvok trace down the source of the message and investigate the situation discreetly?"
"Of course," Harry agreed. "Can you send me a scan of the homeless man?"
Several moments later the sensor readings appeared on the mage's personal computer. Another half a minute and Harry sent back an animation which showed an aging simulation.
"It's Braxton," Kathryn declared in sudden realization.
"How can that be?" Chakotay asked.
"The time shear of that wormhole was immense due to its instability. I'm not surprised considering we didn't pick up any trace of the ship when we came through. I am very good at picking up signs of cloaking. Braxton arrived here decades before us," Harry explained.
"Thanks Tom," Kathryn replied. "We will take it from here. Janeway out," the redhead finished before cutting off the communiqué.
"The message originated from an observatory approximately twenty kilometers from our present location," Harry informed Tuvok. "Come on…I will get us some transportation."
Harry quickly located a rental car company and rented a comfortable but speedy car that got himself and Tuvok to the observatory. The mage led the way straight to the office of Rain Robinson, located from the observatory's computer archives which he had hacked on the way over. Rain was the astronomer who had detected Voyager.
"According to the data from her computer this Miss Robinson is tracking the warp emissions from our engines," Tuvok announced after analyzing some printouts.
Meanwhile Harry was busy analyzing and erasing the non-networked portions of Rain's computer. A virus planted earlier would take care of the networked portions the next time anyone tried to access them.
"Someone from the future must be directing Robinson on what to do. I highly doubt anyone born in this era knows what warp emissions are," Harry replied.
"They have specifically configured their radio telescopes to scan for warp emissions," Tuvok pointed out.
Just then an attractive young woman arrived at the door carrying a pizza box.
"Excuse me," Rain said, startled to find two strange men at her desk. "Do not enter, employees only, Can't you read the sign on the door?"
"We got lost on the tour and ended up here. I am a visiting astrophysicist. The name is Tom Paris," Harry greeted as Rain set down the pizza and accepted the handsome man's hand to shake.
"Rain Robinson," the female replied.
"I couldn't help but notice the unusual output of the components of your Fourier analysis," Harry commented. "You would get better resolution if you adjust the amplitude parameters and use a theta band filter."
"You are probably right," Rain admitted while the blonde man looked up and glanced around the office.
"Orgy of the Walking Dead was a classic. Have you watched the sequel, Bride of the Corpse?" Harry inquired after noticing a movie poster for the former on the wall and recalling memories taken from the original Tom Paris in preparation for this mission.
Tom was a movie buff for old classic films.
"Did you minor in B movies or something?" Rain asked with a smile for the charming blonde man.
"No, just an old movie buff," Harry assured.
"Pardon me Tom. We should be going. We need to meet our friends," Tuvok said.
Rain looked disappointed. Looking hesitant and really not wanting the handsome stranger to go Rain said, "I do the planetarium show Tuesday nights. You guys should come by, check it out; bring your friends. The best stars in Hollywood are right above us."
Before anyone could reply Harry's tricorder alerted him to trouble.
"Tuvok, I am picking up a miniature version of the same subatomic disruptor weapon that fired on us before we traveled through the wormhole coming this way," Harry told his crewmate. "They could just as easily be coming after Rain." Turning to Rain, the mage probed, "Did someone tell you to look for those sensor profiles with your radio telescope?"
Rain looked torn for a moment before slowly nodding.
"This person may want to silence any uncontrolled information," Tuvok caught on. "Miss Robinson, your life might be in danger."
Suddenly a grin came onto Harry's face and he held his hand out to Rain, "Come with me if you want to live." Tuvok appeared confused by the sudden snort from the young woman after being told her life was in danger. "I have always wanted to say that in a situation where it actually means something. To prove we are serious," Harry began before whipping out his phaser and shooting at Tuvok.
The Vulcan's personal energy shield absorbed the phaser fire and Tuvok looked nonplussed, recognizing the necessity of the action.
"Holy crap," Rain declared before visibly stealing herself.
The beauty grabbed a backpack off her desk and took the mage's still extended hand. The trio rushed out of the building and towards the parking lot. As they got close to their vehicle a beam of energy lashed out and caused the rental car to disintegrate. Harry pulled Rain close to himself and covered her while drawing his phaser. The next shot from the subatomic disruptor hit the warlock's shield and began to overload the device. Tuvok's return shot forced the attacker to take cover but he moved to strike again.
"Do you have a vehicle?" Harry asked Rain.
"Right there," Rain answered while pointing towards a van.
As Harry's next shot took the attacker's hand off, Rain and Tuvok climbed into the van. The hand which had been taken off at the wrist held the disruptor. The disruptor was transported up to Hogwarts in orbit for later analysis. Harry jumped into the van before Rain drove away.

"The trans-stators were damaged by the field emitted by that energy weapon. Our communicators are useless," Tuvok announced from his spot in the back of the van.
"So what exactly was it I detected in orbit?" Rain questioned.
"It's our starship, the USS Voyager," Harry answered.
"Mr. Paris, we should not tell her anymore," Tuvok warned.
"Relax Tuvok, I know what I am doing," Harry assured while glancing back into the rearview mirror and sliding his personal computer through the gap between the driver's seat and the van wall.
Tuvok took the pad and examined the information on the screen. The information showed that Rain Robinson had gone missing in the year 1996 around the same time Voyager had arrived in the past. Tuvok thought maybe Rain had been disintegrated but Harry had another idea. The young woman was quite beautiful. It was not inconceivable that the mage would have taken her to the future with him.
"So you have met aliens?" Rain asked.
"Show her Tuvok," Harry urged.
The Vulcan removed the black stretchy material covering his head and showed his pointy ears.
"I am Vulcan," Tuvok informed Rain.
The young woman was speechless for several moments before asking a string of questions. While Harry drove the van he amusedly listened as Tuvok patiently answered the eager astrophysicist's questions. Rain was most definitely curious.
Meanwhile Harry was monitoring the situation in orbit through Hogwarts. It appeared things were not going so well for Voyager's crew. A man from this time period named Henry Starling had found the time-ship decades ago and used the technology inside to build a massive company and jumpstart the microprocessor revolution of the 1990s. Kathryn and Chakotay had attempted to find out the whereabouts of the time-ship stealthily from Starling's office but were caught by the man. B'Elanna managed to transport Kathryn and Chakotay out with short range transporters while under cloak but Starling used his advanced technology to prevent the Klingon-Human hybrid from transporting out the time-ship.
Starling had then managed to steal quite a bit of data from Voyager's computers using the transporter link. This stolen information included the Doctor's program. Denara had thankfully been taking a stroll about the ship using the mobile emitters Harry had developed for the holographically formed pair so she was not taken from the ship.
"We can sleep here tonight. I will get us rooms," Harry announced as he pulled into a motel outside of the city.
The sorcerer paid in cash and gave a false identity before returning with the keys for three different rooms.
"Would it not make more sense for you and I to share a room Mr. Paris," Tuvok pointed out.
"The only Vulcans I will willingly sleep in the same room as are female Vulcans, Tuvok," Harry replied, causing Rain to grin.
"Don't worry, Tuvok…the monsters of our planet won't get you in the dark," Rain teased.
"I do not fear monsters of any planet. Fear is an emotion," Tuvok replied before going into his room.
"Is he always like that?" Rain asked.
"Indeed," the amused wizard confirmed.
"So, would you care to come in for a drink, assuming this place has a mini bar in the fridge," Rain invited.
Harry could sense Rain's arousal and knew what would happen if he entered her room. The invitation was for far more than just a drink. The warlock felt he needed to point something out to Rain first.
"Rain, I think you are great and would love to come in. But there is something you need to know first…not everyone is monogamous in the future. There is no restriction on relationships in the future. I have several girlfriends who I regularly make love to," Harry explained.
Rain appeared startled by this revelation for a moment before replying, "I don't really care about that, Tom. You are absolutely gorgeous and I have wanted you since I first laid eyes on you. Now do you want to come in?"
"Gladly," a grinning Harry replied as he stepped closer to the young woman and let her wrap her arms around him while their lips met.
Rain managed to get the door open as she attempted to swallow Harry's tongue. Clothes began to come off as soon as the door was kicked shut.

"Good morning handsome," Rain greeted her new lover as she found him sitting at a table working on a piece of electronics equipment the next morning. The brunette leaned down and placed a kiss on the man's lips. "Is that my stereo?"
"Yes, sorry, I'm trying to create an antenna that will reach our ship but I don't have much hope with this equipment," Harry explained. "So tell me, what made you want to be an astrophysicist?"
"My brother had a telescope, just a little refractor," Rain replied, grinning in memory. "You could barely see into the tree house next door really. But it was enough…enough to see the rings of Saturn. I remember I used to think they looked like jewels from a pirate's treasure. All I ever wanted since then was to reach up and touch them." Rain noticed a grin forming on her partner's face while he stared at her. "What?" The astrophysicist asked self-consciously.
"You are incredibly cute when you get all wistful and remember the past like that," Harry explained. Deciding something the immortal asked, "If I tell you something important and show you some things do you think you could keep it a secret from Tuvok and the rest of Voyager's crew?"
"Of course I can. After what we shared last night and several times this morning I trust you," Rain agreed, curious at what mystery the time traveler would reveal to her now.
Harry willed a Notice-Me-Not field around the table he and Rain were seated at and focused his attention at the space above the table. Suddenly spacetime distorted and a circular window in the fabric of reality opened up. Rain's attention focused immediately on the view through the portal which was of a meteor field and a very familiar planet.
"Are those the rings of Saturn?" Rain demanded in a whisper.
"Yes, and that's a wormhole," Harry confirmed.
"But the negative mass and energy required to hold a wormhole open that far is incredible. Are you doing this with technology?" Rain queried.
"No," Harry replied with a grin. "I'm just that badass." Rain laughed at her lover, his antics amusing her greatly. "Go ahead and reach through and touch one of the meteors," the mage urged while he grasped Rain's upper arm and moved the other end of the wormhole closer to one of the meteors. Rain watched in further surprise as a glowing energy shield wrapped around her arm like a glove. "This shield will protect you."
Rain reached slowly through the portal and laid her hand against the meteor. Luckily the shield protected her against the cold but did not diminish the sense of texture of the meteor. With a grin Harry reached through the portal and touched the large rock. Suddenly the orbiting object shrunk down until it was the size of a small pendant. A chain with a mounting appeared around the sparkling meteor laced with a crystalline structure.
"A souvenir," Harry said as he placed the necklace around Rain's neck while she moved her hair out of the way.
"You're so amazing," Rain whispered after the necklace was secured and the portal had closed. "I'm so lucky," the woman added before kissing her lover tenderly.
"I have so much more to tell you," the sorcerer assured before launching into an abbreviated version of his life.
Rain listened with rapt attention.
"You have lived an amazing life," Rain said when her lover had finished his tale. Being quite perceptive the astrophysicist inquired, "Why are you revealing this to me? Despite what we shared last night it sounds like you haven't revealed your true nature to your girlfriends on the main Voyager."
"I am telling you because I would like you to come back to my time with me. You could live on Alternate-Voyager or Hogwarts. Once I master the time-ship technology you can even come back here and visit anyone you want. You don't need to give me an answer now Rain. Just think about it. Tuvok is coming," Harry added as he sensed the Vulcan's approach and dropped the Notice-Me-Not charm.
"Good morning," Tuvok greeted as he approached with fast food bags. "Have you made any progress?"
"It just won't work with these materials, Tuvok. This is just a stereo radio. We would need an old style ham radio at the least," Harry answered.
"Chili burritos, tacos, and foot long hot dogs…this isn't a breakfast," Rain told Tuvok after looking through the food bags. "This is an afternoon at Dodger's stadium and heartburn."
"Would you please hand me a burrito?" Tuvok requested, ignoring the analysis of his food selections.
"Vulcan physiology is a bit different than ours," Harry assured Rain. "Could I please have a hot dog?"
"You guys can use the radio telescope at the observatory," Rain offered. "Let's eat first though."
"That would be most agreeable," Tuvok replied, making Rain and Harry smile at his mannerisms.
It didn't take the trio long to get the setup working and Tuvok brought up the Voyager communication's officer in short order.
"Mr. Tuvok, report," Kathryn ordered after Tuvok's transmission filled with static had been patched through.
"Mr. Paris and I are at the Griffith Observatory in the Hollywood Hills," Tuvok announced. "We have modified the satellite dish to transmit and receive Voyager communications frequencies." Those senior crew members present in the conference room with Kathryn rolled their eyes at Tuvok's statement of the obvious. "I regret the bad connection."
"It's fine Tuvok. What has happened?" Kathryn probed.
"We have become associated with a young woman, an astrophysicist named Rain Robinson. She was the one who sent the message to Voyager. Her lab is under the supervision of an individual named Henry Starling," Tuvok explained.
"We have met Mr. Starling. He intercepted the time-ship after it crashed in this era and has used its technology to advance his own ends and coincidentally the human race. It was Starling who jumpstarted the microprocessor revolution of this time with the time-ship's technology. He's also the one who will cause the disaster in the 29th century. Tell me more about this young woman. Can we trust her?" Kathryn inquired, knowing that if the young astrophysicist was even decently attractive and near her boyfriend then Rain's trust was almost assured.
"She and Lieutenant Paris appear to be bonding quite quickly Captain," Tuvok observed. "I would have to say that yes we can trust her."
"Ask if she would be willing to help us set a trap for Starling," Kathryn instructed.
"Rain," Tuvok called to gain Rain's attention.
"Yes Tuvok," the beauty prompted after looking up from where she had been in discussion with Harry concerning their shared passion of old films.
"Would you be willing to help us lure Henry Starling into a trap? He is in possession of technology he shouldn't have and could very well kill billions with it," Tuvok succinctly announced.
"Gee, when you put it like that how am I supposed to say no," Rain said with a roll of her eyes. "Of course I will help. I'm quite fond of Tom."
"Excellent, here is the plan," Kathryn began after hearing Rain's response before outlining her idea.
OP – Star Trek Voyager – OP – Star Trek Voyager – OP – Star Trek Voyager – OP
"Mr. Starling," Rain said with relief in her tone into the phone. "I'm so scared. These people are trying to kill me. I don't know what to do."
"Take it easy, Rain. Everything is ok," Starling assured. "Jump into a cab and come to my office."
"No, they will get me," Rain objected.
"Where are you at, Rain?" Starling asked.
"I'm at Metro Plaza by the fountain, out in public where hopefully they won't try attacking me in front of so many people," Rain replied.
"I will send somebody for you," Starling suggested.
"No, I won't go with anybody but you. I don't trust anyone else," Rain asserted.
"I will be right there," Starling assured.
After hanging up the phone Rain informed her companions, "I'm not sure if he bought the story but Starling is coming. His tone was hard to read."
Fifteen minutes later Starling and his goon (the same man who had shot at Rain, Tuvok, and Harry at the observatory) showed up at the plaza. Also present was the Doctor equipped with a mobile-emitter.
"Paris to Chakotay," Harry said into the phone a few minutes later.
Chakotay, intercepting the transmission in a shuttle copiloted by B'Elanna, prompted, "Go ahead."
"Starling is here with the Doctor. It would appear Starling has mobile-emitter technology," Harry informed the Commander.
"Acknowledged," Chakotay replied. "We will be within range in another two minutes."
"Chakotay has triangulated the position of the vehicle and will upload the coordinates via tricorder. I detected a transporter dispersion field coming from a device Starling is carrying but have suppressed it," Harry assured.
Meanwhile Rain, wearing a personal shield supplied by her new lover, walked up to Starling and said, "I'm so glad you are here, Mr. Starling. I was really getting scared."
"Tell your new friends to come out or their colleague here is going to be erased," Starling threatened while indicating the Doctor.
"What are you talking about?" Rain asked in confusion.
"Never mind, let's go," Starling said before leading Rain towards his vehicle.
When Rain got close to Starling's car she spotted Starling's goon, Dunbar, who had attempted to kill her earlier and stopped.
"That is the guy who tried to kill me," Rain announced.
"No, he was trying to rescue you from those men chasing you," Starling lied.
"Alright," Rain said hesitantly before climbing into the car and already knowing her new boyfriend would keep her safe.
As soon as he climbed inside the car Starling was transported away. Dunbar made to draw his new subatomic disruptor but the Doctor bravely grabbed the man's arm and grappled for the weapon. The Doctor had only recently been forced to reattach Dunbar's hand and the reattached limb was still weak.
"Run," the Doctor urged Rain.
"I've got this, Doctor," Rain assured before drawing a phaser loaned to her by her mate and drilling Dunbar right in the back of the skull.
"Good work, love," Harry told Rain as he pushed Dunbar into the back and took the driver's seat. "Doctor, good to see you are ok."
"Thank you Mr. Paris. What is the plan now?" The Doctor queried.
"Now, we are going to pay a visit to Chrono Works to remove all traces of the future," Harry explained. "I have a program in my personal computer which will temporarily reconfigure your holo-matrix so that you will look like Starling. Could you portray him long enough to get us inside?"
"I don't see why not," the Doctor agreed.
A short while later the car rolled up to the gate of Chrono Works, Starling's company.
"I've got Mr. Starling in the back," Harry announced while flashing his badge but not long enough for the guard to see the picture.
"What happened to Dunbar?" The guard, Dale, asked.
"Dunbar got sick and had to go home. Let us on through Dale," the Doctor in Starling's form said from the back after rolling down the window.
"Yes Sir, Mr. Starling," Dale agreed before raising the gate.
It didn't take the group long to reach Starling's private parking spot.
"What about Dunbar?" Rain asked as she got out of the car.
"He will be unconscious for hours," the Doctor assured. The trio entered Starling's office. "The time-ship is in a lab hidden behind the force-field simulating a wall there."
Harry accessed the room's computer system with his personal computer and disabled the force-field.
"What does a time-ship look like?" Rain asked, not seeing what she would expect.
"It doesn't appear to be here," the Doctor observed.
Harry knew the time-ship wouldn't be present because he had removed it himself a short while ago with the transporters onboard Hogwarts. The highly advanced craft's transporters had no trouble penetrating Starlings protections.
"Captain, we have a slight problem," Harry announced after commandeering Starling's communicator.
"Go ahead Tom," Kathryn prompted.
"The time-ship is gone," Harry informed his mate.
"Starling said it was rigged to go off if we even got near it. He didn't say anything about it being hidden somewhere else. I didn't get the feeling he was lying either," Kathryn replied.
"It's possible it has some kind of recall feature and was transported back to its own time. Or it is entirely possible time travelers from a different era have recovered the ship to prevent us from gaining the technology," Harry suggested, the latter being quite close to the truth.
"You might be right. In any case we will interrogate Starling and his man thoroughly. Coordinate with B'Elanna and Chakotay in the shuttle in removing future technology from that office and then transport up here with them," Kathryn ordered. "Janeway out."
Already the systems onboard Hogwarts had scanned the time-ship and all its systems. The time-ship's database had been downloaded to Hogwarts' computer banks.

By the following day any trace of future technology had been removed from Starling's premises. When Kathryn had gone looking for the homeless man that was an aged Captain Braxton from the 29th century she had been unable to locate him. This was because Harry had teleported Braxton up and had placed the man in a cloned body after striking a deal with Braxton.
"You remember our deal," Harry prompted as Braxton prepared to enter his time-ship in one of Hogwarts' many launch bays.
"Of course," Braxton assured. "Return Voyager to its own time in the Delta quadrant. That is what the Temporal Prime Directive would mandate anyway. I'm just not sure why you never asked me to send Voyager back to Earth. I'm not saying I would have agreed but I at least expected you to ask."
Braxton was immensely curious about where he was and just who this mysterious man was. Braxton had been told very little about where he was or who Harry was. As far as Braxton knew, Harry was simply another time traveler that didn't want to get involved with the Voyager situation.
"Don't worry about that. Just head back to your own time after relocating Voyager and telling them what I told you to tell them," Harry asserted.
Braxton nodded before entering his time-ship and taking off.

Back on Voyager's bridge, Harry was at the helm a few minutes later thanks to a little time travel of his own.
"Oh not again," Kathryn declared when another temporal rift opened up and disgorged Braxton's ship.
Braxton had only traveled a few minutes through time just before leaving the cloaking field of Hogwarts just to make it appear as if he had jumped a long distance through time instead of being the same Braxton that had been living on 21st century Earth for decades.
"We are being hailed," Ensign Kim announced before putting the message on the view screen.
"Captain Braxton," Kathryn said in surprise, her astonishment not at the fact that she was seeing Braxton but that he appeared to be the age he was when Voyager had first encountered him. "Why aren't you older?"
"Cloned body," Braxton replied. "I'm here to return you to your own time. Prepare to follow me back into the rift."
"What happened to Henry Starling, Dunbar, and Miss Robinson?" Tuvok spoke up to inquire.
Starling and Dunbar had disappeared from Voyager's brig without any sign of how.
"Starling and Dunbar are imprisoned for their crimes in my time. Miss Robinson has been relocated temporally as well. She seems to have disappeared from this time in historical records anyway," Braxton explained. "And before you ask, I'm afraid the Temporal Prime Directive mandates that I must return you to your previous coordinates in the Delta quadrant. I cannot return you to the Earth of your time. I'm sorry. Braxton out."
"The time-ship is reentering the rift," Kim announced, dejection clear in his tone.
"Mr. Paris, follow him in," Kathryn ordered.
"Aye Captain," Harry agreed.
Voyager returned to the Delta quadrant at the exact time they had left so no time was lost on their journey. After the starship was back on its way and the mage's shift had ended he popped over to Hogwarts.
"Everything went smoothly I take it?" Rain asked.
"Exactly as planned," Harry assured. "What have you been up to?"
"Libby has been showing me around the ship. She's in her quarters right now I think taking a nap. But I just wasn't tired. I'm too keyed up from being on an actual spaceship," Rain declared with an excited grin. Stepping closer to her boyfriend the brunette wrapped her arms around his neck and huskily whispered, "I want to thank you so much for bringing me to the future."
"Mmm…I do so love to be thanked," Harry purred before kissing Rain's lips tenderly.

Author's Note:
The story I mentioned in the author's notes at the end of the last two chapters I believe has been located. The story I was seeking was most likely The Ghost of Godric Gryffindor by GoGG. I am still reading it so I am not 100% sure it is the correct story but so far everything fits and I'm almost finished. Thanks to those who helped me locate it.
