Chapter 109
Haven
"I heard Colonel Tigh is leaving for the surface," Maggie said over breakfast.
"That's not surprising," Harry mused. "I guess even Bill is finally relaxing his watch."
There had been no word of the cylons in the past year. The colonials had gotten complacent. More than half of Galactica's crew had left for the surface. The orbiting fleet was a bare-bones fleet. A large portion of the fleet had been landed for living quarters.
"New Caprica is pretty enticing," Grace pointed out.
"Yeah…thanks to Harry," Maggie said after swallowing a bite of her breakfast. "Before it was a bleak wasteland. It's a paradise for men."
Harry had been using his abilities to slowly alter the soil on New Caprica in the last year to make farming much easier. Even with his help the labor of farming was physically intensive. Men were naturally better suited to this farming than the fairer sex, especially considering the birth rate. With five women for every man among the colonial population each man generally partnered up with multiple women. In these relationships usually several of the women were pregnant at one time. Currently tens of thousands of babies were being born.
"It is at that," Harry agreed.
"Don't look so smug," Grace said after swallowing a sip of her coffee. "Women could still overthrow men. If you lot get too big for your britches we'll just lock you all up and use you for breeding."
Maggie laughed while Harry said to her, "Maybe with the other men…but you wouldn't be able to do it with me."
Harry's tone was playful.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that," Grace mused while entertaining the thought of handcuffing her second husband to their bed.
Harry enjoyed the playful banter with his lovers over breakfast.

"How are you feeling this morning ladies?" Harry asked as he finished serving his lovers breakfast.
"This pregnancy thing frackin' sucks," Kara declared morosely.
Tory laughed after swallowing some of her coffee.
"But you still wouldn't give it up would you," Tory said knowingly.
"No," Kara admitted.
"Me either," Gina agreed.
Kara was only a couple of weeks away from her due date and ready to pop. Gina was about seven months pregnant. It had taken her a little longer to convince Harry that she wasn't about to screw him over.
"The foot rubs are worth it alone," Kara admitted.
"Magical hands," Harry replied simply with a grin.
"They are that indeed," Gina agreed.
"What's on the agenda today ladies?" Harry asked his partners.
Harry listened to what they had planned for the day before telling them in kind. Harry enjoyed this, the domestic life with his family. In short order they would have two more little lives entering their family. He was really looking forward to it.

Galactica
"We need to jump the fleet out now," Grace said as she rushed into Bill Adama's ready room with Harry beside her.
"What…why?" Bill asked.
"Because a cylon fleet is coming. They picked up on our location by accident. We have maybe ten or twenty minutes warning," Grace said.
Grace had told her allies in the colonial administration that she only got updates from her counterpart with the other cylons during their sleep cycles. As such her counterpart would have only been able to provide the colonials with very little warning. Plus Grace knew from a chat with her replicat that she didn't want to interfere with what was going to happen next.
"That isn't enough time for the civilians to get off the ground," Bill said with pain in his tone as he began rushing towards the CIC.
"No it isn't," Harry agreed.
"If we leave them all there they will be slaughtered," Bill said with worry. "Prepare action stations," Bill called as soon as he entered the CIC. "Warn Pegasus to do the same. Tell the rest of the orbiting fleet to begin jump preparations. We have a cylon threat incoming," Bill said.
"I was able to ascertain from my counterpart that they don't intend to wipe out the colonials. They intend to guide us and help us. I don't see it working out well but my counterpart's voice didn't hold as much meaning as it used to," Grace warned.
"We'll leave but we will be back," Bill said. "Put me through to Baltar."
It took a few precious minutes to rouse the colonial president.
"Baltar here," Gaius finally said. "What was so urgent that you had to disturb me Commander?"
Baltar's tone showed just how little he cared to hear what Bill had to say.
"The cylons are about to arrive with a fleet in orbit," Bill said without preamble.
There was the sound of coughing on the other end. Gaius had been in the process of taking a drink of alcohol.
"What do we do?" Gaius demanded.
"You hunker down. They'll be here within minutes. Hide anything vital if you can. We will be back. We aren't in any shape to fight right now," Bill suggested.
"You can't leave us. I order you as the president not to leave us," Gaius tried.
"Sorry Doctor but even when Laura was president I would have not listened on a military matter. I won't sacrifice our fleet for nothing. Our intel says they aren't coming to wipe you out but rule you," Bill replied. "I'm sure you will survive. You seem to be good at that Doctor."
"Sir, they are here," Dualla reported.
"We've got to go," Bill told Gaius. "They are here."
Moments later Galactica and the other ships in orbit around New Caprica jumped away.

Laura Roslin watched from the crowd as three rows wide of cylons marched down the center of the city.
"May LoK and the gods help us," Laura thought to herself.

78 Weeks after Joining the Fleet
Harry looked up as another explosion went off. The wards built into his homestead were designed to block such sounds out from the ears of children but not from humans. Harry didn't give away any other sign that anything had happened as he played with his two children. Baby Jon was six months old born to Kara. Baby Emma was four months old born to Gina.
"I'm gonna get you," Harry said to his children playfully as they laid side by side looking up at him. "Yes I am…yes I'm going to get you."
The two children laughed as their father continued tickling them with magic dancing from his fingers causing mild tickling charms to wash over them. Suddenly Jon waved one of his tiny hands wildly and dispersed the tickling charm. In a fit of accidental magic from Jon, Harry was suddenly experiencing his own tickling charm.
Harry let out a bark of delight and glee. This was the scene Kara returned to. She set her rifle aside and came over to look at the scene.
"What is it?" Kara asked as she knelt down next to her children.
Gina was sitting nearby on the floor helping watch the children.
"Jon just performed his first bit of magic if I'm not mistaken," Gina said. Gina had gotten better at recognizing the use of Harry's type of arcane energy since they had first made love. "I'm a little envious if I'm truthful," Gina thought.
As if sensing her mother's thoughts little Emma raised her hand and caused sparkling lights to dance from her fingers repeating another trick their father had done for them.
"Looks like he isn't the only one," Kara said while marveling at what was a truly magic moment.
It was then that Kara also felt the effects of her son's tickling charm. She laughed. It was moments like this that helped with the occupation.
Harry noticed as Kara's thoughts returned to the occupation so asked, "How did it go?"
Gina took over playing with Emma while Kara picked up Jon and held him. She exposed one breast and began feeding her son.
"It went well. Leoben stepped out of the COA office and I got him in one shot," Kara explained. "But it turns out there were several copies. I couldn't get them all with the pace they were running out. I used that identifier you gave me and managed to get the right one."
"I bet that will piss him off," Gina said with a smile as she also began feeding a hungry Emma.
The COA office was the Cylon Occupation Authority office and was where the cylon's operated their occupation government from. It had become a game of Kara's to kill the cylon known as Leoben. This was the same Leoben that had been vented into space after meeting with Laura Roslin. It turned out that Harry's device hadn't fully blocked the consciousness transfer but instead had caused debilitating pain similar to a cruciatus. Leoben had made it his mission to locate Harry and Kara before returning the favor. Leoben's ire had been directed at Laura Roslin too. But the first time Leoben had gone after Laura, Harry had shown up and taken out the cylon.
Harry had put a charm on Leoben that allowed Harry to track that particular Leoben despite consciousness transferrals. Grace returned to their home at that point.
"Those idiots are so frustrating," Grace declared.
"What did they do now?" Tory asked.
"The One's argued for public executions of Insurgency leaders and random groups off the street. The Five's seemed to back the One's up. The Three's seemed more neutral to the point that Caprica-Six and I could sway the vote," Grace explained as she sat down on their couch. "They even frackin' contemplated executing Baltar."
"That wouldn't work. That would only encourage the insurgency," Gina pointed out.
"That's exactly what Caprica-Six argued," Grace said.
"Don't get so worked up about it," Harry suggested as he came over and began massaging Grace's shoulders. Grace leaned into the touch with a pleased moan. "They won't be executing any civilians in mass. I'll step in as LoK before I let that happen."
"They're confused as to why LoK hasn't intervened en masse," Grace admitted.
The cylons in the COA with the exception of Grace weren't privy to Harry's explanations to the civilians about LoK. Harry had explained to the civilians that LoK was letting them learn from their mistakes. It had been their mistake to elect Baltar. LoK was helping them in smaller ways but they would be responsible for getting out of this mess on their own. One of the smaller ways LoK was helping was by preventing the torture of civilians when the civilians were detained by the COA.
"I saw Colonel Tigh being released," Kara said. "He had an eye patch on."
"That's merely an illusion to fool the cylons into thinking they are actually succeeding in their torture," Harry assured.
"That's good to know," Kara said. "So will you tell me who the informant is?"
Tory rolled her eyes towards Harry. Kara was constantly pestering Harry and Tory to reveal the identity of the spy undercover in the COA. Tory was the spy's handler.
"Might as well tell her or she won't give up. And it isn't like she is going to tell anybody," Grace suggested.
Grace also helped cover for the spy so was in-the-know.
"It's Gaeta," Harry replied.
"Huh…I didn't think he had the balls for that type of work," Kara said. "I guess people constantly surprise."
"Well Gaeta just passed on the security plans for the graduation ceremony at the New Caprica Police Academy," Grace announced.
"The insurgency will jump on that," Gina mused.
The NCP was a generally hated group among the civilian population. The New Caprica Police were viewed as collaborators and traitors because of the way they operated. People were rounded up by the NCP and interrogated. Some people would have been tortured and killed if it wasn't for LoK's intervention in extracting them. Harry had set up another city for those he extracted located on the other side of New Caprica from the main city. This second city was under heavy wards designed to keep it hidden.

Haven
Harry stood onboard Haven looking out at the military combat exercises that the remaining Galactica and Pegasus pilots were undertaking. This was the 15th time they had performed the procedure and they weren't getting better. The pilots were tired and frustrated but Bill was riding them hard.
"Lee's not happy with his father about this," Kendra said as she walked up behind him and wrapped her arms around him.
"I can see why," Harry agreed. Maggie and Grace were both participating in the maneuver. "I think they're about to have it out."
Harry brought up the radio chatter between Lee and Bill.
"Admiral, considering how long our pilots have been in the air I suggest we recall the birds and scrub this training exercise," Lee suggested.
"If we can't do this in a training scenario how the hell are we supposed to pull this off with cylon raiders on our asses," Bill demanded. "Huh? Tell me," Bill called.
"What the frack do you want from me?" Lee asked. "I don't know how we are supposed to do any of this crap at half strength."
"Galactica, we've had a collision," Kat called in alarm.
"Give me your status, Kat," Helo instructed.
"Bingo, Molar, speak to me," Kat instructed the pilots of the two vipers that had collided.
Harry brought the vipers up on a holographic viewer and saw that the left wing of one of the vipers was sheared off.
"I'm losing flight control and have red lights all across the board," Molar replied.
"Kat, Molar, I'm in a lateral spin and am losing hydraulics. My wing is clipped," Bingo reported.
"Galactica, I'm declaring an emergency and need priority landing for two damaged birds," Kat said.
"Bring them back," Bill reluctantly gave the command.
Helo relayed the command the air group returned to their ships.

Bill's Office
"This whole thing is frackin' insane. We have two battlestars that are at half-strength crewed by men and women that haven't seen action in a year and a half. You are making it seem like their only problem is that they aren't working hard enough," Lee told Bill.
"Have you taken a look at yourself in the mirror lately?" Bill asked his son while staring intently at Lee. "You're weak. Soft," Bill declared. "Mentally and physically he added."
Lee had put on a significant amount of weight and had seemingly lost his edge. Bill's observations were fairly spot on.
"This isn't about me," Lee objected weakly.
"You've had four months to get your act together," Bill cut in over anymore protests from Lee. "So far all you've been able to do is complain and whine about how hard it is. Well guess what…it's going to get a lot harder. Do you understand me? I want you to turn around and get your fat ass out of here. Get your men ready or I'll find someone who can. Dismissed," Bill said in a shout.
Lee threw his father a look of disgust and left without another word.

Galactica-Sharon's Quarters
"It's a hard thing to say," Bill began after he picked up his coffee and blew on it. "But it seems like I don't really know who my own son is anymore. The same applies to the crew of this ship. I feel pretty much alone these days. Except for you and Harry."
Galactica-Sharon chuckled and said, "I wish I could go back a year and tell that Bill Adama about this conversation.
"A lot has happened in this past year," Bill admitted.
Bill had come to trust Galactica-Sharon in the past year.
"Can I ask you something very personal?" Galactica-Sharon said. Bill waited for her to ask. "Do you feel guilty about leaving the people behind on New Caprica?"
"Not about that," Bill said. "I do feel guilty about your baby," He thought to himself.
"A year ago when you put me in a cell I was at a crossroads," Galactica-Sharon admitted. "I sat in here for weeks just consumed with rage at all the things that had happened to me. At some point I realized that it was all just guilt that I was feeling. I was angry at myself for my choices, betraying my people and losing the baby in particular. I realized I had to choose between moving forward and staying stuck in the past. The only way to move forward was to forgive myself. I don't believe humanity can survive unless the man at the top finds a way to forgive himself."
"There is something I need to tell you," Bill admitted. "I didn't like this plan going in but I didn't stand my ground with Laura. At the time I showed her support because we were so uncertain of you back then," Bill said. "Now I know who you are and trust you. What I feel guilty about is this."
"What are you trying to say?" Galactica-Sharon asked while searching his features.
"Your daughter is alive. Her death was faked because it was deemed too risky having you raise her," Bill admitted. "She is on New Caprica."
The emotions flitting across Galactica-Sharon's features were many and varied.

New Caprica Police Academy
Duck stood nervously in line as a Three gave a speech. He wasn't listening. He was too focused on what he was about to do. He had no reason left to live. Ever since the toasters had killed Nora his life had essentially ended anyway. Duck waited until the Three began walking down the line shaking hands. This was it. He had his hand tightly wrapped around the detonator in his pocket.
When Three arrived at Duck's position she saw something off in his eyes.
Duck said, "I'll see you soon Nora."
Duck clicked the detonator. Duck disappeared and nothing else happened.
"What just happened?" Three asked.

Duck looked around in bewilderment after the squeezing sensation and saw another camp arrayed around him. That was when he spotted LoK.
"Is this the afterlife?" Duck asked.
"No," LoK replied as he waved his hand and caused the bomb vest he had disabled moments before to vanish. "You are wrong."
"How so?" Duck asked beginning to feel anxious.
"You still have something to live for. Your wife Nora is in that tent," LoK said as he pointed to a particular tent nearby.
Duck turned towards the tent hopefully and then glanced back at LoK only to find LoK gone. Duck went into the tent and found his wife there just as LoK had said.

Quarters of Galactica-Sharon & Helo
"I can't believe those bastards did this to us!" Sharon cried before letting out another scream of frustration.
"But she's alive," Helo said, choosing to focus on the positive.
"Yes," Sharon confirmed. "Adama said he'd help us get her back. Apparently she was placed with a good adoptive mother Maya. I've been over files on her. By all accounts she is a good person but files don't reveal everything."
Helo was pissed too but he was trying to think things through, something he hadn't done so well in the past.
"I'm half-tempted to get her and say frack the colonials. But I don't think we could survive on our own," Helo said.
"Adama said Harry and LoK were a large part of what kept the pregnancy from being truly terminated," Sharon admitted.
"It sounds like you should talk to Grace about this," Helo suggested.
While Grace and Galactica-Sharon were the same model of cylon they were very different women. But both had become friends in the time they had known each other.
"I'll do that," Sharon said. "I just want to cool down a bit first. It hurts to know that our little girl was denied our affection because others didn't trust us with our own child."
"Hopefully she's too young to remember anything," Helo suggested.
Sharon loved her husband's optimism. Helo's optimism and ability to look on the good side wasn't endless. But it was definitely abundant. She went over and sat next to him on the bed. When he wrapped his arm around her she just let him hold her.

107 Weeks after Joining the Fleet, On the Outskirts of Caprica City
Harry watched as the contingent of New Caprica Police officers assembled in an empty part of the market. Jammer was at their head. A Number One model which went by the name John Cavil pulled up in a military truck and climbed out. Cavil approached Jammer.
"Do you understand your orders Captain?" Cavil asked Jammer.
"Yes Sir," Jammer said.
"Good. Don't worry. We have your back," Cavil assured.
Jammer looked nervously at the small contingent of silver centurion models standing nearby. He tried to force his nerves not to show.
"Yes Sir," Jammer replied.
"Here are the names of those who are to be arrested and sent to detention," Cavil said while handing Jammer a piece of paper.
Jammer began scanning down the list.
"I…I uh…know some of these people," Jammer said after a few moments of examining the list.
"I'm sure you do," Cavil replied. "They are all insurgents Jammer. We have to break the cycle of violence."
Jammer put the list in his pocket before turning to his men and ordering, "Suit up."
The NCP officers slipped full head masks over their heads to conceal their faces.
"You won't have to wear those much longer. Eventually your people will see you as heroes," Cavil promised.
"I don't think that will ever happen," Jammer was able to admit to himself.
Jammer gave orders before the force broke up into smaller teams. A person from each team slipped on a night vision monocular in order to guide their team. Then the teams began going into homes and detaining the selected individuals. There was shouting, screaming, and struggling but all targets were taken.
When Cally Tyrol was taken she screamed for her baby which would have been left in her home by itself. Tyrol was off at a meeting of the insurgency. Harry cast a calming charm on Cally from where he stood invisibly nearby. Harry went in and picked up baby Nicholas Tyrol and soothed the crying child. Cally calmed with a feeling that her baby would be alright steeling over her. It didn't take too long for Galen Tyrol to arrive back at the home after hearing of the round-up. Galen found the child calmly in his crib unharmed. Harry was about to leave when Galen began taking care of the child. But something felt off. Harry cast a scanning charm on Galen and Nicholas.
"It would appear Galen is not the father," Harry mused. Harry paused longer. Something else felt off that he never would have picked up without the scan. Harry cast a more invasive diagnostic spell. "Huh…Galen is a cylon. I never would have guessed that."
Harry had discovered in a similar fashion that Tory was a cylon. But Tory and Galen were members of the Final Five cylon models. The Final Five were fundamentally different than the other seven cylon models. The Final Five were born biologically through the use of an organic memory transference technology and were descendents of those that established the thirteenth tribe. The final five were survivors of the Earth colony born over 2,000 years before the onset of the first cylon war. Grace and Gina were able to fill Harry in on this information. Apparently Cavil had tried suppressing this knowledge but Grace and Gina had avenues of gaining information that Cavil had no hope of suppressing.

Galactica, Captain's Briefing Room
"We need to locate the launch keys for those grounded ships," Bill suggested after having read over the recent report delivered by Galen Tyrol via the communications device Harry had given both parties.
The cylons were jamming traditional communications devices.
"Can we manufacture new launch keys?" Kat asked.
Kat was Galactica's CAG with Kara on the ground.
"The specs on launch keys are incredibly sophisticated," Lee reported. "It would take weeks just to do the R&D."
Harry sent out a minor Notice-Me-Not charm at that moment. Traditionally the colonial forces would have likely turned to him for the quick manufacture of new launch keys. But he was taking a less hands-on approach the longer he was with them. He was spread pretty thin helping on New Caprica as it was. He would help if his help was absolutely needed. But Harry wanted to see what they would come up with on their own first.
"The best option is for Saul and the people on the ground to locate the original launch keys," Bill suggested.
"I can help with that," Grace assured.
"It does seem likely that the cylons would keep those keys safe in case they wanted to use any of the original ships," Helena agreed.
Helena had come a long way on the resurrection ship. Between her time in seclusion and Harry's company she felt like a completely different woman.
"What if we make a weapons drop to the insurgents," Kat suggested.
"The cylons have reduced their defense perimeter to just five base-ships," Kendra pointed out. "If you put heavy weaponry down there then the cylons will know for sure that we are in contact with the population."
"She makes a good point," Lee agreed.
"Moving on…keep these military plans with you at all times," Bill ordered before the meeting broke up.

Haven
"What can I do for you?" Grace asked Galactica-Sharon as her sister cylon arrived on Haven via a raptor Sharon had piloted over.
"Bill informed me that Roslin faked the death of my daughter and gave her to a woman named Maya on New Caprica," Sharon said, obviously growing more agitated the longer she talked.
"You're pissed," Grace noted.
"You're damn right I'm pissed," Sharon agreed. "They had absolutely no right to do that."
"I'm assuming Bill apologized and admitted he was wrong?" Grace asked.
"Yes," Sharon confirmed. "But that doesn't change the fact that what he has done has so badly hurt me. I thought she was dead," Sharon said as she faced Grace then.
Grace could see the true anguish in Sharon. Grace walked up to Sharon and put her hands on Sharon's shoulders.
"This isn't something you are going to just get over so quickly," Grace said. "Though, I suppose I could help you. But is it right to just help you move past it so easily? The emotional pain is meant to make you weary of trusting someone who hurts you so easily again." Out loud she said, "Bill is fallible. Roslin is fallible. You and I are both fallible. Give it time."
Grace decided to take the edge off of the pain for Sharon. Grace reached inside of Sharon telepathically and took the edge off of the loss of Hera, Bill's betrayal, and Sharon's anger. This telepathic manipulation would help Sharon recover faster. Sharon needed to recover because the universe was still very much a dangerous place.
"Thanks," Sharon said as she hugged her sister. "Talking to you always makes me feel better."
"Any time," Grace agreed.
"Bill wants to make me an officer again," Sharon admitted.
"That's good news. It has taken a long time for us to prove our trustworthiness," Grace pointed out. "You've earned this."
"What about you?" Sharon asked.
"I'm happy where I'm at. Besides, you were always the one who was actually stationed on Galactica," Grace assured. "Take the reinstatement."
The two sisters talked for a while longer before Sharon left feeling much better than when she had arrived.

Resistance Headquarters…
"I don't care that it is effective. I don't care that the cylons can't stop it," Laura said. "It's wrong. No more suicide bombings Colonel," Laura told Saul.
Harry stood nearby along with Kara. Anders was also present.
"What are you working for the cylons now?" Saul asked as he put his cigarette back in his mouth and stood up.
Laura slapped Saul at that. Saul sat back down.
"Saul, the bottom line is that LoK will stop any suicide bombing attempts every time," Harry pointed out. "They just go too far."
"So now he finally does something," Saul said with a grumbling tone.
"LoK has done so much for us Colonel," Laura reminded Saul.
"You might want to be a little more grateful or you'd be missing an eye now," Kara added.
Saul was quiet for a moment before he said, "I am grateful. It's just we have to escalate the attacks or we won't draw the attention of the cylons here when Bill comes back to rescue us."
"That will work itself out," Harry suggested. "Either you will think of something or others will step in."
Saul looked intently at Harry at that before nodding slowly.
"No more suicide bombings," Saul agreed. "Anders, go tell Rebecca to stand down."
But Anders didn't get to Rebecca in time. LoK did.

Colonial One
"What's this?" Gaius asked after D'Anna had dropped a folder onto his desk.
"This orders an execution of all the detainees listed on the next page. It requires your signature," D'Anna explained.
"As the president," A Doral said as he stood and also approached the desk.
"Read it later…sign now," D'Anna ordered as Gaius began reading the document.
Caprica-Six stood and said, "Just because you've decided to do this doesn't mean you need to drag him into sin with you."
Caprica-Six came to stand beside Gaius facing her fellow cylons.
"Don't you lecture me about sin," D'Anna rebutted.
"I'm not the one who committed the first act of cylon-on-cylon violence in our history," Another D'Anna said.
"What's she talking about?" Gaius asked.
"I don't know," Caprica-Six said.
"I don't know how you did it…but I know you were involved in me being killed when the café was destroyed," D'Anna said while looking between Grace and Caprica-Six.
"You're crazy. We weren't involved in that," Grace said believably.
"This is beside the point. Sign the order," Cavil commanded as he stepped forward closer to Gaius.
"You don't need my signature for this," Gaius pointed out.
"Actually we do. We are here as friends of the legitimate government of the colonies," D'Anna explained. "You as the president need to give your signature."
"In other words they are worried what god might think if they commit murder. They are covering their existential asses," Cavil said in a skeptical tone.
When a pen was held out for Gaius to take he said, "I won't do it. You're going to have to solve your consciences some other way."
"Then we'll find another president," The Doral still sitting down said while the Doral standing next to Harry chambered a round in a handgun and put the gun to Gaius' temple.
"Stop this," Caprica-Six said. "This is crazy," She shouted.
Then the Doral with the gun shot Caprica-Six in the head. Grace had taken action the moment she had anticipated the way this situation was likely to go. The entire scene was being relayed via holograms into every colonial structure on New Caprica but in places no unfriendly cylon could see.
"She'll be back," The Cavil in front of Gaius' desk said.
"But if he pulls that trigger now you won't," The Cavil still sitting down said referencing the gun which had returned to Gaius' forehead.
The pen was forced into Gaius' hand and he had tears in his eyes.
"Sign it," The Doral with the gun shouted. Doral grabbed Gaius' hair and screamed, "Sign it."
Suddenly Gaius was alone, transported into a version of his mind-scape that was an empty colonial one.
"Hello Gaius," Gina said.
"It's you," Gaius said. Gina hadn't visited Gaius in a long time since she had taken up corporeal form and now that Gaius had Caprica-Six. "Help me."
"I am along with a friend," Gina said as she laid her hand on his shoulder comfortingly and transferring the spell which Harry had constructed to tag Gaius' essence. "If you let them shoot you then you will be reborn in a special resurrection ship just like a cylon."
"But I'm not a cylon. Will I be one then?" Gaius asked.
"You'll be something in between," Gina admitted.
Gaius was silent as he stared at his desk. Gaius had never been a pious man. But he had long since come to accept the truth he saw in his non-corporeal companion being real.
"Alright. I'll do it," Gaius said.
Just like that Gaius was back in the ship being screamed at by Doral to sign the document. Gaius dropped the pen and looked up at Doral despite the gun.
"Frack you," Gaius declared. "I won't sign."
The gun went off and Gaius Baltar died. There was shocked silence that Gaius had actually stood up to them and even more so in the colonial structures on New Caprica.
"We'll have to find a new president," Cavil stated.

Harry watched as new detainees were rounded up by the NCP. This time the detainment was performed in broad daylight. Laura Roslin was among them. Harry followed the convoy along as old detainees were loaded up and decided to listen on a particular conversation.
"Fancy seeing you here Mr. Vice President," Laura said to Tom Zarek as their truck moved on.
"It has been a while," Zarek mused. "As you can see Gaius didn't like my lack of willingness to go along with the plan to round up detainees," Zarek said while holding up his manacled wrists. "Any idea where they are taking us?"
"I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it would seem we are taken to be executed," Laura admitted.
Zarek's head snapped back towards her before he searched her features to see if she was serious.
"I know I've been out of the loop for a while but have things gotten that bad? I didn't even think Gaius Baltar would go along with executions," Zarek said.
"He didn't," Laura admitted. "A short time ago Gaius ate a bullet to the head for standing up to the cylons. They tried pressuring him into signing off on the execution order. And he died for it. Someone…I'm assuming it was LoK broadcast the entire event to everyone in the colony that wasn't a cylon."
"Frack," Zarek said.
"Yeah," Laura agreed.
"You know something. You're too calm. I know you wouldn't go down without a fight," Zarek noted.
"I have faith that LoK will intervene," Laura said.
"He visited me while I was in my cell," Zarek admitted. "Stopped the cylons from torturing me."
"I've heard he does that," Laura mused.
"I can have a little faith too," Zarek said.

Execution Site Pergamus Flats
Lt. Sharon Agathon, newly instated, signaled her team to be quiet when she heard the convoy rolling up long before they came into sight and long before her human companions could hear the trucks. They watched from their concealed position as a Cavil model got out of the trucks and ordered his NCP thugs to let the prisoners out ostensibly for a break to stretch their legs. Sharon knew better.
"Get ready," Sharon said as she and her team readied their sniper rifles. "The centurions are coming up from the south. I can hear them now."
"Yes Ma'am," Anders said as he slipped up next to the group from Galactica. "Sorry we're late. This place is a frackin' pain to find."
"Better late than never Anders," Sharon said after glancing over Anders and the other insurgents they were supposed to rendezvous with.
As Anders' team took up position Sharon spotted one of the NCP officers she recognized despite his mask as Jammer free Cally Tyrol and urge her to run for it. Cally did so and started running away, right towards the position of Sharon's team. Sharon glanced to her right and saw Galen staring intently at his wife.
"I can shoot her in the leg so she can go down without getting hit by one of our sniper rounds," Sharon whispered.
Galen's gaze was frantic as it turned to her.

One Hour Previously in the Tigh Home
"I love you," Saul told his wife seemingly spontaneously.
"I love you too Saul," Ellen said. "I want you to know that I would do anything for you."
Just then the hologram showing Gaius Baltar being forced into signing an execution order played out.
"Holy Fracking Shit," Saul said when the hologram had ended. "I didn't think Baltar had that in him."
Moments later Galen Tyrol came into the home without knocking.
"What are we going to do Sir?" Galen asked Saul.
"We're going to organize a response," Saul said with fire in his eyes. Though only one eye was discernible through the illusion LoK had woven over Saul's one eye. LoK had said that it was better for the cylons and everyone really to believe Saul had really lost the eye. But he could just see fine. "Go get Anders and the others. I'll coordinate with Harry."
Galen nodded once before running from the home.

New Caprica, Potter Home
"Two drops acromantula venom," Gina said to herself as she found the vial labeled acromantula venom and took up the stopper. She put the two drops in the cauldron she was working over before stirring the concoction. A recipe was laid out on a piece of paper nearby which she was following. "Three unicorn tail hairs," She said as she added the hairs.
She had been watching Harry make simple potions for some time. About six months back Harry had figured out how to use his knowledge of divination to look back in spacetime at the ingredients he had used before he came to their region of space. Gina knew more about his origins than any of Harry's other women with the exception of possibly Grace. Grace seemed to always know things she shouldn't or possibly even couldn't. Using the ability to look back he was able to magically copy the ingredients. It took a significant amount of his energy to do so. But once those ingredients were in this region of space it took a lot less energy to copy them. She had started brewing simple potions a few months back. Now Harry was having her brew the most complex potion she had ever brewed it. It was a variation of the Draught of Living Death.
"And done," Gina announced when the potion turned the right shade of gray the paper said it should be.
Gina poured the potion carefully into vials and put stoppers in place. She held up one of the vials and could feel the arcane energy coming off of it. This was a type of arcane energy use she had never imagined. But Harry's potions had proven quite useful. Harry didn't always tell her what the potions were used for but he had told Gina that a dose of the potion she just brewed was intended for Ellen Tigh. Gina tried and failed to imagine the circumstances under which this potion would need to be used on the Tigh woman.

Pergamus Flats in the Present
"Do it," Galen replied.
With the pinpoint accuracy only a cylon could manage Sharon shot Cally in the left leg in a position that was the least potentially lethal. Cally went down with a cry before the others in the Colonial forces opened fire on the centurion execution squad. Sharon joined in on the fire was well. The moment the shooting was over Galen took off to recover Cally.
"Sir you might want to take a look at this," Charlie Connor said as he came up and handed Anders a piece of paper. "I found it on him," Charlie said while gesturing towards a wounded and slowly dying Cavil model that had been gut-shot.
"This is the location where we were going to originally hold our rendezvous before the location was changed," Anders said. He looked closer at the paper. "Wait…this isn't just the location. This is the original map we used."
"What happened to the map after the meeting you had discussing it?" Sharon asked.
Anders thought about it and then realized, "Ellen Tigh took it to dispose of it."
Anders' tone was grim as he realized the implications.

Colonial Resurrection Ship Resurgence
Gaius Baltar sat up with a gasp and looked around in a panic. Helena slapped him.
"Calm yourself," Helena barked at Gaius.
Harry rolled his eyes at Helena's actions and hit Gaius with a calming charm. Gaius' breathing slowly began to settle down.
"It worked," Gaius said with surprise when he had managed to regain his speech.
"Yes it did," Caprica-Six said as she hurried into the room, her hair being damp from her own recent resurrection. She wore a simple robe. "You were so brave," She said as she rushed over and helped Gaius out of the tank with a robe she plucked off of a towel rack on one wall.
"Thank you for getting us out of there," Gaius said to everyone present. "Were you in communication with the Six I've been seeing in my head?" Gaius asked Harry.
"You've been seeing a Six in your head?" Caprica-Six asked. "I've been seeing a Gaius in my head. Well at least I used to."
"We can talk about that later," Gaius assured his girlfriend before turning back to Harry seeking answers.
"Something like that," Harry said. "But we aren't done with you yet. LoK still has plans for you Gaius and you Caprica-Six."
Somehow the two newly resurrected lovers felt Harry's tone was foreboding.
"What plans?" Gaius asked worriedly.
"Your place is among the other cylons for a time. They need to realize that they no longer hold a monopoly on resurrection. They need to stop these killings," Harry said. "We want to put you back on New Caprica. The colonists will be parting from their cylon overlords soon. You should go with the cylons."
"If we die will we be resurrected here again?" Caprica-Six asked.
"Yes," Helena assured. "So the risk is low."
Gaius glanced at his girlfriend and saw the resolve in her eyes.
"We'll do it," Gaius agreed.

Author's Note 2
If you want to access the erotic versions of any of my stories follow the following instructions:
1) Go to Facebook and join the group Stargatesg1fan1's Fanfiction Works and Favorites (make sure you answer the security question)
2) Go to the Announcements section of the group. You will find a link in one of the posts to a Google drive folder. Inside that folder are copies of all of my stories (the smutty versions).
Note: If you create a new Facebook account it has to be with a legitimate name. I won't add anyone to the group that looks suspicious (it has to be a real person's name). For example, using the name "Lazy Lazy" is not a legitimate name.
I have chosen to move the erotic versions of my story to a less accessible forum which can be more closely controlled. If you cannot accept that then you don't need to be reading my stories. For those who can accept it, enjoy.
Enjoy,
