Hello Guys and welcome back (or welcome if you are new) to a new story featuring a certain rabbit and dragon hero with my OC in My Hero Academia. Now before anything else, it has been quite a while since I last posted anything here and the long years might have made me quite rusty in terms of vocab, grammer, and story in general. I hope any one who reads this at least get some kick out of it, whether good or bad (Leave it in the reviews yeah?)

Since they didn't necessarily put the time and years (Or they did and I'm just being a dumbass) I'm just going to use the general month day and year. Or if you like, you can just imagine whatever the date is. POV is going to change here and there, but it should mostly be in 3rd person view unless stated otherwise.

Have you ever wondered how does someone escape from the unfairness of the world? Sometimes, I do too.

Sometimes, people around you are the cause. Sometimes, the environment is the cause. But who's to really say if they are different, or one in the same.

If you don't like the other, don't bother with said other. If you don't like your environment, change it.

After everything is said and done, what you do with the powers you have, determine who you are

Or if lacking in the power department, what you do to counteract the lack of powers.

My name is Tetsuya, housed in Japan as an orphan, Quirkless, and this is my story of living two different life at the same time or rather, trying to hide what I do on a nightly basis...

-Long ago before the present-

A lone figure walked or rather, stumbled through the forest panting heavily as the robe covering their figure fluttered along. Distant shouting could be heard, and the figure notices it as well making them cradle the object they were holding trying to move faster, reaching for the destination. Not long after however, their pursuers caught up, and it was evident from the sudden shouting of...

"She's here with the child!" As the figure gritted her teeth and willed herself to push forward, she gasped out as something pierced her on the right shoulder, making her stumble for a brief moment only to continue moving forward, increasing her speed all the while. This wasn't a solution however as she was getting weaker by the second, and in a last ditch effort to get some distance and time, she turned around and with her red eyes showing under the hood glowing, she raised a hand and a large shockwave shot out from her hands, causing the whole ground from her, to the pursuers to crack as if something had hit it hard and give way, causing a huge sinkhole.

As she turned around and started to move again, she had to stop as a coughing fit found her, making her cover her mouth as she felt something wet on her hands, making her look down at them to see blood. Knowing that she doesn't much time left, she continued to move forward, looking down at her bundle of joy that is her child. Due to the lack of pursuers, she managed to reach her destination, a lone abandoned hut near the outskirt of the city that is Musutafu, Japan.

Placing her child down, making sure the the blankets were wrapped around him properly, she smiled at the sleeping child with a gentle stroke on his head and tears slowly forming on the corner of her eyes.

"...I'm... I'm sorry for not being able to protect you, and not being able to give you a quirk... I just hope that you will have a better life away from them... My little Tetsuya.." With a soft cry, she placed a note down beside the child, and left the hut, but not before taking a deep breath, and steeling herself for the upcoming battle. After all, they won't stop coming for them, and in order to ensure that her child will not be chased any longer, she was going to kill them all, even if she had to die doing it.

Taking a look back, she gain a newfound hope, that her child will be able to survive and with that, she walked away from the hut, breaking into a slow jog, then run, then into a full blown sprint straight towards her pursuers, her red eyes glowing with intensity that red aura started to flow from her body as she activated her quirk. Anyone living near the outskirts of the forest that day, would have felt the sudden shake of the earth that rivaled the aftershock of an earthquake.

-A hour after the battle-

A rather small figure exited from his car, and made his way to the hut having received a call prior from a good friend of his. This person was Nezu, the small white furred rat. With a soft hum to himself, he opened the door to the hut and saw a child wrapped in blankets, and a note beside. Picking up the note, he gave it a read and his smile went from happy, to a sad one knowing what has transpired. Without question, he picked the child up carefully and made his way to his car.

"I will take care of him old friends, rest assured that your sacrifices aren't in vain, quirkless or not." Placing the child in his car, he started the drive to an orphanage that he had a hand in building and making for orphans with or without quirks. The only reason he made this orphanage was simple, to ensure that the orphans can grow up without any discrimination. Ever since the world went into the age of quirk, heroes and villains. About 90% of the world's population have a quirk.

It's the other 10% however, that the world discriminate against, especially those that wants to become heroes despite being quirkless. Taking a glance at the child beside, he could only sigh hoping he didn't receive the same treatment in full.

-Five years later in the orphanage in the outskirts of the city-

Coming back to the orphanage was something Nezu always looked forward to from his busy schedules since it allowed him to take a small break, and to see the fruits of his labor. Taking in the peaceful surrounding, the children of different ages running around him, the caretakers who shared his ideals hard at work, he could only smile at the children as he gave out the gifts he had brought for them. The last gift in his hand however, was for the only missing child from those running around.

Getting to his room was a simple matter of asking the caretaker of course, and knocking on his door to open it only made him rather... surprised. He had seen a lot of things over the years, but seeing a five year old working out was something he was sure nobody would have believed him if he told them. Apparently, he was shocked still for quite a while because the child had already finished his push-ups, and was waving a hand in front of Nezu, breaking him out of his shock with a cough.

"Ahem.. How have you been Tetsuya?" He asked the child, making the child look at him with a nod as a reply. Apparently one thing strange about this child, was the fact that he didn't smile nor talk much. He wasn't mute by any chance nor was he unable to show emotion. Tetsuya has talked with the rat before when he could, shocking the caretakers and him with how fast he had learnt the language.

"I am doing fine uncle, did you get gifts for the others?" The rather silent child asked him, making him nod as he brought out the gift he got for him letting the child open it before speaking again.

"I sure did as per usual you know me. I got you a bunny plush last time since you liked them, and seeing your expressed interest in dragons, I got you a dragon plush this time. Although if you ask me, I think I should start getting you some training equipment..." He ended with a mumble making the child smile and giggle as he hugged the dragon plush tightly. One thing about this child, he sure love his plushies a lot, one of the times he shows his emotions openly.

"Thank you uncle Nezu, but the training equipment can wait." Polite and witty too apparently making Nezu shake his head with a chuckle. They proceeded to talk about the child's time here, and about Nezu's work seeing that Tetsuya have always been interested in the hero's lifestyle. Nezu could tell that the child wanted to be a hero as well, just like all the others in the orphanage. While most of them had quirks, Tetsuya was one of the few who didn't and while he didn't hear the boy say it outright, he like to think that he knew what the boy was thinking.

All good things must end however, as it was time for him to leave. A few short goodbyes to the rest of the children, only Tetsuya remained as he walked Nezu to the car.

"Even without quirk, do you think one can be a hero?" That sudden question surprised him for sure, as he was expecting it sometime later rather than now. There was silence between the two of them as they looked at each other before Nezu broke into a soft smile.

"Quirk, doesn't determine whether one can be a hero or not, otherwise there wouldn't be heroes and villains." That was all he left the boy with and turned to enter the car, noticing the small smile on his face as he started the car with a last goodbye to him and drove away. While the sentence was cryptic, he knew that Tetsuya could understand the hidden meaning, after all, his intelligence as a kid already rivaled that of an adult.

-Seven years later-

A lone boy at the age of 12 trained in the courtyard of the orphanage in the late night, push-ups, sit-ups, runs, pull-ups, you name it. Slow controlled breath as he worked his body to the limits, each muscle inside of him working beyond their limits as he had been training literally all day, only stopping for meals, and when the rest wanted to play some games which he joined. Feeling his body hitting beyond the limits and more, he finally stopped as his muscles screamed at him making him sigh in displeasure from the annoyance.

He had been doing this limit thing since 4 years ago when he had hit his growth spurt, allowing his muscles to be destroyed from all the training only to make use of the growth period to quickly strengthen his muscles. As a result, his strength and speed was already beyond what a 12-year old could do, way beyond. The first few times it happens, it had hurt like shit, if his grunts and pained hiss could be replicated, but he slowly got used to it, and found out that he had a really high tolerance for pain.

How he found out was actually quite funny since it was about three years ago, one year after he started his training fully. He was in the kitchen helping to prepare meals as per usual, since he took it upon himself to learn how to cook. One of the caretaker, a rather clumsy one despite all the years there, accidentally touched the kettle that was being heated on the stove and knocked it over, causing the rather heated water to spill onto him.

Instead of shouting or screaming from getting scalded, he just turned to the caretaker and asked if she was okay. Now don't get him wrong, he still felt the stinging feeling, but it wasn't something that could warrant a reaction out of him. His burn spots also healed in a day much to all of their surprise. They had told Nezu when he came to visit one day, and he was checked for any signs of Quirk, but no luck there. There was however, a strange substance running within his blood, a slightly redder mirco-something. Any attempts at trying to figure it out, or extract ended in failure in the form of a red lightning crack from said extraction. Thus, Nezu swore the doctor into secrecy and it was never spoken of again.

He was smart, there was no other way to say it. Nezu had even brought his some advanced book about quirks, science, math, different languages as well after realizing he had finished reading all the knowledgeable books in the orphanage. One can say everything he have learnt, was self-taught, and verified by the smartest rat himself.

He wouldn't admit it, but Nezu was like a father figure to him, and if not that, then an Elder brother with tons of knowledge about the outside world. Every visit from Nezu, allowed him to broaden his knowledge, and it was two years ago from today, that he had put his plan in motion. Even without quirks, one can be a hero.

He cut his musing short as he have rested enough, before going back into the house to take a quick bath. As one of the smarter and proven to be able to take care of himself individual, the caretakers and Nezu himself after some discussion have allowed him free reign within reasons. While the power was given to him, he of course didn't abuse it, for it was the trust that they placed in him, and he wouldn't break that trust even if it killed him.

Finishing up with his bath, dried himself and took a look at his mirror, seeing his contradictory hair style, neat yet rough and messy, something like organized chaos, short and whitish blonde, closer to silver if anything. His facial features were sharp, with eyes that were colored teal that said a lot about his feelings. In fact, someone with a keen eye, or knows body language, will be able to see the emotions just from the area around his eyes. He was at a decent height despite being 12, but his body was like someone chiseled it, pronounced shapes of his muscles, hard even in his relaxed state and rock hard when he does tense it a little.

Giving himself a once over, he nodded as he was happy with his progress to the plan he had. Dressing up with just a underwear and shorts, he made his way out and into his room, where it showed a bunch of training equipment, a bookshelf filled with advanced studies and quirks, a wall shelf filled with his notes on all the quirks he had read up, seen, or known from Nezu. (Think Izuku) A small futon against the wall and window giving him a view of the bright city complete with the two plushies still going strong.

Beside the window was his desk for his own works, and for now, prototypes for his outfit for when he set his plans into motion. Gazing out into the city, he released a sigh as he looked to the desk again.

"Three more years... Maybe it's time to up the training and prepare for my outfit... I hope Nezu will allow it.. As for the money issue... A job maybe... Passive income..?" The more he mumbled to himself, a smile started appearing on his face. As of now, he had decided to use the money that Nezu had sneak to him when he thought he didn't notice. Turning his laptop on, he went on to do an intensive research on the stock market, real estate, and the works.

It was 3 A.M. when he finally grasped everything, at least on an intermediate level, as the rest he will have to experience himself, taking the card Nezu left him, he released a sigh as he thought about it once more, as this wasn't a small step to take, especially with him being 12 years old. Steeling himself, he proceeded to start with the stock market, hoping that it will help him to spend more time on his plans, his plans on being a vigilante in the world of heroes and villains, staying in the shadows without a hint of fame tracking to how he would be out in public.

Closing his laptop once he was done, he moved to his futon and flopped onto it, hugging both plushies close to him like someone would with their lover or lovers. Little did he know, that was just training for when he eventually got his.

-Three years later-

"I'm sorry Tetsu, but could you repeat that?" A rather dumbfounded Nezu with all his smarts said as he stared at the now aged 15 teenager in his room for a private talk. Said teenager was looking at Nezu seriously as he repeated what he said previously.

"I said, I have decided that I'm going to be a hero in the shadows, a Vigilante." Nezu decided that he didn't heard wrong, and his expression turned into confusion and concern at the thought of him running in the shadows with no back-up fighting villains.

"Why a vigilante? I can get you admitted into the U.A high school so you can become a hero if you so wished." Not going to lie, ever since he had the principal position of that school, he had lots of leeway. But above all else, while he didn't necessary object to what he had said, he wanted to know why. Knowing that Nezu wanted to know why, Tetsuya only gave a soft sigh as he looked down, before looking back up at the rat again with a intense gaze. Nezu have seen that look before, it was a look that shows tenacity and determination.

"... I have had years to thought about it. Everything you have told me about the world, the heroes, the villains, the number one hero... I know, that being a hero is better than what I have chosen. But let's face it uncle, A quirkless person like me wouldn't make a hero that everyone can count on, not without some external help." He stopped his sentence to look down at this hand, flexing it as the muscles bulged by a lot, as if it was inflated like a balloon.

"That was the reason why I trained and trained, pushing my body past it's limits everyday and beyond. The human body is always changing, adaptable. Therefore, with the research I have done, and personally tried, I have attained this body of mine. And with it, I will hunt the shadows, and keep fame out of this." Nezu couldn't believe it, the kid started to train because of his ideals and plans, not to mention how right he was. He could only sigh as he rubbed his paws together, taking a sip of tea.

"...That is true.. But as you have already figured out before, we have both the bright and dark side of the heroes community, there is no reason why you should be doing this." He finished, making the teen shake his head as he placed his laptop in front of him and opened it.

"I know that, and I also know that whatever the bright side couldn't do because they are the "Public" image, the dark will do it. But because they are heroes as well, they are still restricted by rules and regulations. What I do however, will be beyond any form of control. Purely villains with the appropriate amount of force, never going over that line. That's the rule I have made for myself. That and never putting any innocent in harm's way." The teen finished, before turning the laptop to face Nezu, making him think about what he had said, and looking at the laptop as well. What he saw however, made his eyes widen in surprise.

"T-This...! You really thought it through huh..." On the laptop screen, was a self-made scanner that cross-referenced with all sorts of media, whether in the global web, deep web, or dark web, pulling everything and going through them all at once, and placing information about villains activity, the heroes' movement, and more. What's more surprising, was the fact that he even had the Hero Network, something that only pro heroes could access. Nezu was a smart rat indeed, he was sure that he could have put something like this together given time, but he certainly didn't expect the teen to do it. "...What about the funds to do whatever you need? You can't be expecting to do both day jobs and night hunting"

This made Tetsuya, or Tetsu for short for people that are close to call him, smile as he took that as Nezu approving of it. Moving the mouse to the other tab, he clicked on it to show the stock market from various sites, making Nezu choke on his tea briefly before laughing out.

"You really did thought of everything... I really can't say anything after this..." With that said, he shook his head with a smile as he looked at Tetsuya with a concerned, yet serious look.

"Vigilante work is considered taboo in this age of day, you can't let anyone find out about you. I will do what I can to help, but on the off chance you do get found out, I will deny all accusation that I knew. Are you really sure you want this?" Nezu just had to confirm it for the last time, for this will change everything. And he was determined to help the boy out. How could he not, after seeing how determined he was. The teen only nodded his head with an equal serious look.

"Yes, even if I get shunted, even if I get booed, even if I get injured, I will go down this path. I will be a hero in my own way. I will protect the innocent from the shadows. I will not use more than necessary force." This wasn't just a confirmation, it was the mission, the statement he stood by, and from the smile Nezu had, he could tell he meant every word. That was all the rat needed and with a sigh, he set his tea down.

"Then as your impromptu guardian, I give you my permission. If you need anything that within my ability to help, let me know. After all, a hero needs their own support." Nezu finished with a sip of tea, taking the teens hand to rub his paw on the top of it, making the boy nod his head with a relieved smile. They shared this moment for a bit before Nezu couldn't help but ask.

"...How did you work the stock market to get billions in three years?" This made both of them laugh as he begin to explain the inner workings of stock investment. The air now lighter with a close knitted secret within the two of them.

-A week later-

Remember that the close knitted secret was for the both of them? Apparently it is two and a half now as Tetsuya faced down the number one hero in a controlled fight. Or as controlled it can be seeing it's the number one hero, and he was using about 50% of his strength against the teen.

It started as a normal day, him doing his morning exercises and eating breakfast, before Nezu suddenly arrived with All Might in tow. With the excuse of needing to see if he had the strength to back up his words, he had asked All Might to help him with a personal favor, mentioning that he was quirkless, and was about to go down the path of a hero even if differently. Seeing that it was Nezu that asked, he apparently readily agreed to it although not knowing what the he meant by that.

And that was when they gathered in the large field just slightly away from the orphanage for safety, though that didn't stop the caretakers, now grown teens, and new children to sit somewhere close-by to watch the fight. Tetsuya removed his shirt, revealing his chiseled body to All Might, making the hero raise an eyebrow.

"Are you sure this young man is quirkless?" He had asked Nezu who nodded in turn, before stating the rules for the fight, 30% for All Might, who is to increase for as long as Tetsuya could handle, and for the boy to fight using his body and nothing else. With that being agreed on, they both stood at a distance from each other, doing their own preparations.

Once they got ready however, All Might was surprised by the sheer intensity coming from the young Tetsuya, something that even some pro heroes couldn't show. That was how he knew, that he should take this fight seriously. Tetsuya likewise, heated himself up for the incoming fight, feeling his senses focusing on the one person, unknowingly, his eyes dilated and constricted, kind of a camera focusing it's lens. There was also a slight red glow coming from the side of his eyes as the air was tensed. And then it broke.

The first one to make the move was All Might, coming in with a sudden burst of speed and a swing of a punch right to the middle to test the waters. The teen knew that he was testing, and similarly, he also wanted to test himself seeing that this was his first actual battle, not counting the shadow fights or the fights that occurred in his head, all of which he could do in real life. His body tensed up as the punch came with a rather loud impact, the hit landing square on his stomach making his body lean forward from the force.

The hero and Nezu alike was shocked from the lack of defense coming from the boy as he pulled his hand back, but soon turned into surprise as he just looked at the hero with a grin as he dusted his stomach.

"I was honestly expecting a harder hit, but there was a lot of force behind that punch." That statement made All Might look at Nezu as if asking for confirmation, and with the principal nodded, Tetsuya initiated the attack this time, taking a step forward that looked like he dashed to get close and let a similar punch loose to All Might, making the hero catch the fist, a small smile was adorned on his face as he did before the two started to trade punches, no skills involved, just pure strength and taking turns to hit their best hits, well for the hero, it's in increasing power.

The blows that connected into their defense, became louder and louder and the force behind each impact started to send minor shockwaves they stood on even cracking the ground a little, each punch landed on the hero making him grunt from the sheer power behind this young man's punches, able to rival 50% of his own punches. Speaking of which, that was the power he was on currently, and while the teen couldn't handle the force like he did before, it didn't stop him from tanking said hits.

During the fight however, All Might could tell, that the young man in front of him was made to fight. 50% of his power was something to be afraid of, especially since he usually used 40% for most of his fights and even that's considered overkill. And yet, he was taking everything like a champ, and even trading blows that is equal to said 50%. His blue eyes scanned his teal-colored ones, as if asking for permission to go fully, and surprisingly, the young man's eyes agreed, and that was when Nezu realized that he might have underestimated how the training changed Tetsuya.

The next blow that came from All might, was at 60%, making the teen block the punch and slid back from the force, before a grin formed on his face as he rushed back into range, letting loose a punch. The fact that his power and the force of the punch he gave to the hero didn't increase much didn't matter, for it was one-sided now, how much can he take from All Might's power before needing to tap out.

And so, the next one was let loose at 65%, making the teen actually lift off the ground just slightly, sliding back more this time around with a grunt, the force of the punch actually managed to make him feel pain. He wasn't a teen that called it quits that easily without reaching his limits of course, and he replied with a dash forward, returning that with another punch.

70% was the next one, and this one made the boy gasp out as he took the hit and flew back instead of sliding, landing further away from where he last was with a grunt, as he slowly got up again and rushed back. Before he landed the hit however, Nezu suddenly called for them to stop, making him look at the principal in confusion.

"This is for you to find out where you stand, not for you to get seriously injured." He said before walking over to the both of them, while All Might stopped with a laugh that completely said he forgot. Tetsuya however released a soft sigh as he felt the tension leaving his body, before feeling the sudden soreness hitting him all at once from the spots where his punches landed.

"I'm impressed young man. You managed to take 60% of my strength without major trouble.. If you train a little more, get some experiences under your belt, you would have been able to tank at least 75% of my strength." All Might said to the boy who in turn nodded at his words.

"Thank you for helping me learn my current limits" Nezu could only chuckle at the two of them, with the cheering of the spectators they had on the side, before making their way back to the orphanage, where Nezu and All Might had to leave for hero work. Saying goodbye to them, Tetsuya immediately went back to his room, and wrote down what he have learnt during the brief bout with the number one hero, a smile on his face the whole time as the feeling of his first fight lingered. He now knew where he stood, and soon, he will make his debut.
