Chapter 12: Third Month
Summary:
After Dante Reyes' takedown with help from their past associates Han and Gisele eventually make it to Tokyo.
And after settling in they have dinner out like they always wanted to, all dressed up and with all the time in the world.
It takes both of them time to let it all sink in but it eventually does.
Elle goes to school.
Gisele works in the area if she can.
Han's back at working on cars.

Chapter 12: Third Month

After Dante Reyes' takedown with help from their past associates Han and Gisele eventually make it to Tokyo.
And after settling in they have dinner out like they always wanted to, all dressed up and with all the time in the world.

Elle goes to school.

Months pass into the next year and Han and Gisele are with Elle and his Tokyo crew at the soccer pitch they used to play at.
"What lies do they tell you?" Elle asks as she drums her hands on her a textbook.
Han knew when she was stalling and gives her what he hopes isn't a too stern look.
"Gisele, guys," Elle continues with her plea, "Will I use this in real life?"
"We saved the world," Twinkie chimes in.
"Using science!" Earl adds.
"But not in school," Sean rolls his eyes.
"It can give you a start, but it doesn't have to be everything," Gisele tries sneaking a look over at Han.
"Maybe I just need a break," Elle sets her things down, "I want to be goalie."

Gisele was back from work abroad, with Tess's crew this time, and at Han's shop giving her motorcycle a check up.
"You should come to the movies with us," Elle says.
It took Elle a long time to go to the movies again after her parents died.
It started again with Han renting movies and playing it on a projector on the wall of their apartment.
Elle knew in part some of those times were because they were in hiding, but they'd go to the theater when she was older and looked slightly different.
Han taught her to survive but didn't want her to live in fear and paranoia
So movies became her and Han's tradition too, and Gisele was now part of their lives and Elle wished to share that with her too.
"I'd love to," Gisele smiles.

It was spring and nearing two years since Dante Reyes's revenge plot and Gisele coming out of hiding and Han and Gisele are still together.
Through ups and downs, big fights, and little ones.
"Gisele," Han says on one knee, "I love you. I've never met anyone like you and I love everything about you. And you love me for who I am and there's so much more I want to say but I think you know already. And I'd be so lucky if you'd agree…if you let me help take care of you as long as I live."
Gisele tears up, trying to steady her hand as well as Han's.
Smiling as she does.
"Will you-"
"Yes," Gisele nods.
"Will you marry me?" Han chuckles as he restarts and finishes his question.
"Yes. Yes," Gisele reiterates, embracing as Han get up and puts the engagement ring on her ring finger and then kissing.
"I love you."
"I love you."

Elle was planning a summer European trip with her college friends and asking Han for advice for ideas about where to start and countries to see.
"I don't want them to die for nothing," Elle says as she looks at a picture of her with her parents, "I don't know about school. And they were so smart."
"I'm sure they'd want you to be happy whatever you choose."
"Sometimes I want to be normal and argue with them like how I should."
"What happened to you isn't fair, Elle," Han says, "If college isn't for you then at least you tried. I think you earned a few wayward years."

It was Sunday BBQ at Dom and Letty's.
Dom and Letty were at the grill.
Mia and Brian were setting up the rest of the BBQ things.
Jack O'Conner had all the younger kids' ears as he tells them a story with Roman and Tej providing sound effects.
"The vault glides through the streets…"
Ramsey was helping Elle with something on her laptop.
And Han and Gisele soon share their exciting news.
And the congratulations and hugs start.
"Congrats!"
"Thanks."
"Can't wait for another one to the family."
"Thank you."
"Congratulations."
"End of February."
"I can't wait either."
"Leap Day baby?!" Roman comments excitedly.
"Looks like it," Han grins.
"Or about that time," Gisele expands.
"Like this kid couldn't get any cooler," Tej jokes, "Both parents coming back from presumed death…"
"Practically a ninja for a sister," Gisele adds.
"So did you slap that…"
"Not in front of the children," Roman laughs.
"I'm so glad that secret is over," Elle chuckles.
"You two really took the long road."
"It was worth the wait," Han whispers into Gisele's ear, kissing her forehead then.
"You are," Gisele replies back.

Author's notes for Perspective, Chapter 12: Third Month:
I've decided to call this the First Valentine's timeline and this is the current conclusion as I said this was to be one-shots but the Delirious one turned into 9 parts so this one is planned ahead a little better when the real life dates gave me last minute prompts and guidelines for ideas I already had but not in any concrete form until this forced it.
Storyline notes:
I don't think Han and Gisele's thoughts are needed after the intro part and their words and actions convey things enough so it's mostly Elle's.
Fast X establishes Fast Five as set in 2011 and 10 years before Fast X so that's in 2021 and the next leap year is 2024 so this chapter is set in 2023 and Han and Gisele's baby will be born around February 29, 2024 in this timeline.
Just a little Elle/Gisele dynamic bc this timeline has the happy ending, and another can explore drama if I ever get to that, if it even needs it (sometimes it's for plot let's be honest, but it probably won't be something they can't work through)
Like Cipher I think Elle is set up to be in the all-female spinoff (if that still happens) so by the time they make it she'll be older so in this she's doing some normal things she never got a chance to and working it out and by the time the spinoff comes she knows she wants to be in the action/whatever the plot is.
And if the age math doesn't work then maybe in this timeline she's smart and goes to college early.
I kind of forgot how Kamata/Yakuza wouldn't want Han in Tokyo so I guess in this headcanon here some understanding is reached?
People said the Sean's resolution in canon was also ridiculous so just say it's movie magic?
But I don't know if they stated where canon Han is living at the moment or Sean and co. where in F9 they at least work in Germany; so does Han have a reason to move back because the idea that Han has to watch his back anywhere in Japan is not ideal.
Or they don't care and I overthink everything, so Han and Gisele live in Tokyo for now in this timeline.
