CHAPTER 7

All throughout the night and all throughout the day Marlin had kept on walking, still looking for any chance of finding directions that would lead him to Sydney. When he took a break, he checked everywhere in the library to find any info, even checking the maps. But he had no luck. It's almost as if Sydney wasn't even on the maps and was some hidden place. But no matter what, he still kept on his search to find Nemo, no matter what.

And it also didn't help that he had a rather...nuisance stuck with him.

Ever since escaping the dog in the dark alleyway, Dory had been repeating what she remembered non-stop. It still thrilled her that she actually remembered something, and all throughout she'd been repeating and reminding of that information. It was getting really annoying to Marlin.

"Where are you going? I'm going to P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney. If you're asking where I'm going. I'll tell you that's where I'm going. It's P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney. Where? I'm sorry, I didn't hear you. P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way..." Dory chatted to herself, just enjoying to herself with a skip in her step. Completely unaware what her non-stop chattering was doing to her travel partner. Marlin who was walking ahead of her just cringe to himself, rubbing his temples with his fingers. It was getting too much for Marlin.

Just then Marlin noticed the area and place they had stumbled into. He looked around and noticed this place was Entertainment Central. A well known place that was living with tourists packed all around. But also it was full of street artists and entertainers preforming for the tourists. However today didn't seem any packed with tourists at all, as it wasn't the season yet.

But Marlin spotted a group of entertainers just practicing their routine, whether be for their music, dance or even street acting. A beam of hope came to him and thought they could help him.

"Excuse me. Hi. Do you know how to get to hello?" Marlin walked over to the group to get their attention, however they just looked at him, gathered their stuff and ran off, obviously they didn't want this strange man disturbing them when they are practicing. "Wait! Can you tell me... Hey! Hold it!" Marlin called out to them. However Dory kept following him and repeated the same line over again, in which the Street Performers ran off again. "Wait a minute! I'm trying to talk to you." Marlin called out and continued to follow after them "Okay, fellas, come back here." he called out again but they continued to run off.

"Please, one quick question" Marlin caught up with them, only to loose them when he stopped to take a breather "I need to and...they're gone again." he sighed in defeat.

It just felt obvious to Marlin that no one, not one person is gonna help him at all. And with Dory stuck with him talking non-stop, it wasn't helping him.

Marlin decided that it was enough. He had appreciated Dory for helping him this far, but now...it was best for the both of them if they go their separate ways.

It was final.

Marlin turned back to Dory still talking to herself "P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney. Why do I have to tell you over and over again? I'll tell you again. I don't get tired of it..." "Alright" Marlin stopped Dory, in which she finally stopped and turned to him with a smile.

Marlin just stared at Dory for a moment before taking a deep breath as he placed his hands together. "Here's the thing. You know...I just, think it's best if I just...if I just...carry on from here by myself" Marlin began, looking at Dory "Okay" she smiled and nodded, having her full attention, although she has no idea what was going on. So Marlin continued on "You know, alone. Without...well, I mean, not without you" as such as he was telling her this, it had been difficult for him to word it out. Being that he hadn't been around and interacting with people for a long time and it was difficult for him. But he just had to tell her.

"I mean, it's just that I don't want you...with me" Dory looked at him with a confusing look. However just by looking at his face was enough for her to understand what was going on. "What?" "Look, I don't want to hurt your feelings..." "You want me to leave?" "Well, I mean not-Yes. Yeah" Marlin said with a tiny nod. Dory felt hurt he said that. "It's just that you know I just can't afford anymore delays, and you're one of those people that cause delays" Marlin told her, trying not to sound rude. However telling her this he felt more like a jerk "And sometimes it's a good thing. There's a whole group of people. They're delay people" he said trying to make it sound positive, but that didn't seem to work.

Dory felt more hurt by his words "Y-you mean you don't...like me?" her lip quivered. Tears filling her eyes, she turned around and cried in her hands.

Now Marlin felt really bad, he was afraid this would happen "No, of course I like you. It's because I like you I don't want a be with you" he told her but Dory kept on crying. "It's a complicated emotion" Marlin tried to tell her but Dory just kept on crying that she didn't listen to a word he said. Marlin felt really bad for telling her this "Don't cry. I like you" he placed his hand on her shoulder.

"Hey you!" a voice called out.

Marlin turned around to the voice, he looked to see the Street Performers all gather around. From the looks on their faces they didn't look too pleased with the man. All looking at him with frowns on their faces and arms crossed.

The Leader marched over to the two and looked over to Dory "Lady, is this guy bother you?" he pointed to Marlin, as well as the other performers pointing. Dory gave a sniff and dried her eyes "I don't remember, were you?" she turned to Marlin. "No, we're just, we're..." Marlin tried to find the words to defuse the tension, then he remembered and turned to the performers "Hey listen do you guys know where I can get to-" "Look pal, we're talking to the Lady, not you!" the Leader told him with a glare, his fellow performer friends glaring at Marlin as well.

"Hey Lady, you like impressions?" Dory looked up and nodded to the Performers. Seeing her nod was a signal for the performers "Okay, just like what we rehearsed gentlemen!" the Leader ran back to his group. All huddled together and began to act out.

And so the performers went about going into their places, the first impression they did all lined up 4 by 4 and shaped their hands like holding instruments, with the Leader in the front, demonstrating of holding something and waving it about.

"So what are we? Take a guess?" the Leader turned his head back to Dory. Dory got excited when she saw this "I seen one of these before!" she pointed out, as the Performers continue to pantomime some more "We're a certain group, that goes 'marching' around, and plays instruments..." the Leader gave her a tiny clue to herlp her out. "Wait wait, I got it!" Dory was still thinking of her guess, Marlin just frowned at her obviously he knew what this impression was "It's a Marching Band!" Marlin gave a frustrated sigh and took the guess. All the performers groaned and glared at the red haired man "Hey Red, let the Lady guess" the Leader told him with a glare.

The performers all gathered in a huddle again. And soon they were partnered up in 2, taking one's hand and began to waltz around "We go around doing this in ballrooms..." the Leader, once again giving Dory a clue. Dory continued to watch them and once again got all excited "It's on the tip of my tongue!" she said and snapped her fingers trying to guess. "Dancing!" Marlin guessed, trying to cover it with a cough, however certain eyes caught it "Saw that!" "What?" was all Marlin replied with a shrug.

Once again the performers huddled up, and soon gave one that was an easy guess for Dory. The performers all on their knees, tongues out and panted like dogs. "Man's best friend" the Leader told her, which Dory too a guess "Cat!" "Close enough" the Leader just smiled, chuckling lightly and shrugged his shoulders.

The performers all got up and began to act out a really hard impression. Making them look like they were all on a ship, some of the performs acted like shipmates as the Leader was singing 'A Whale of a Tale.' "Oh they're good..." Dory muttered to herself, nudging her elbow to Marlin, but she continued to applauded the performers.

It has gone long enough for Marlin, he didn't have time for fun and games.

"Will somebody please give me directions?" Marlin exclaimed, making the performers to stop. They soon all crossed their arms as the Leader gave an exaggerated angry expression and placed his hands to his face, making them to circles like they are glasses. Making him look like Marlin "'Will somebody please give me directions'?" he said mockingly. All the other performers laughed at this, Dory couldn't help but laugh as well. Marlin however wasn't in a laughing mood and glared "I'm serious!" he spat out "Blah-blah-blah! Me-me-blah! Blah-blah-blah-blah-me-me-me!" the Leader continued to taunt him, the other performers and Dory continued to laugh.

Marlin looked at the group with a neutral expression on his face "Thank you" he said dryly and turned to walk away. Dory giggled but once she watched Marlin leave, she began to feel bad for him "Oh dear. Hey come back!" she called out and ran after him.

Marlin kept on walking away, Dory ran after him until she got in front to cut him off, stopping him in his tracks "What's the matter?" she asked him with a smile. Marlin turned to look at her "What's the matter? While they're doing their silly little impressions" Marlin began to rant his frustrations out.

As Marlin ranted on, Dory looked to see the Leader and the performers were behind him several feet away. They continued to mock him as some were mouthing to match what he was saying while others were doing it with their hands. Dory trying hard not to smirk and laugh, still having her attention to Marlin.

"I am miles away from home, with a woman that can't even remember her own name" he continued to rant on with a shout. "Boy, I bet that's frustrating" Dory replied with a nod, oblivious to the fact Marlin was referring to her. Marlin took a deep breath to calm down "It is, meanwhile my son is out there" "You're son Chico?" "Nemo" "Right, got it!" Dory nodded.

"But you know what?" Marlin shook his head and began to march off "It doesn't matter! It doesn't matter to people thinking it's not their problem! It doesn't matter to people that I may never see my son again! Because no one in this entire God forsaken city is going help me!" he shouted walking past Dory, he balled his fists as he continued to march on, everything was silent for a moment.

"Well I'm helping you..." Dory told him, making Marlin stop in his tracks.

He paused for a good minute or two, his fists unclenched and the anger on his face slowly fading away. He gradually looked over his shoulder at Dory. She stood in her place, smiling softly at the red haired man.

He was truly grateful for her to help him.

While everyone else would've just abandon him in his time of need, or tell him to inform the police as they would've handle it. But Dory stuck by him and went out of her way just to help a man she just met.

"Wait right here" she told him softly, turning back to wander back to the street performers.

"Hey guys!" she called out, waving to them. "What, is he bothering you again?" the Leader asked, looking up frowning at Marlin "No no, he's a good guy, go easy on him. He's going through something emotional" Dory calmed the performers down "He lost his son Fabio. His son was kidnapped and he's out trying to find him" she added, mixing up Nemo's name again. The performers all gasped at the news, they began to have a change of heart when they heard.

Dory looked at the performers seeing that they have soften up on the news "Say, I'm wondering if you guys can help? Have any of you heard of P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney?" she asked them. The performers turned to her with surprised expressions "Sydney? oh course!" the Leader exclaimed "Why, Ted here's got relatives in Sydney, don't you Ted" he added turning to one of the performers "Sure do!" Ted piped up with a nod.

Dory was thrilled to hear "Hey! They know Sydney!" she hollered back to Marlin. He gasped at the news and ran back to Dory's side "You guys wouldn't happen to know how to get there, would you?" Dory asked again, as Marlin looked at them hopefully. "There is one way to get there" the Leader said, walking to the two.

The Leader turned Marlin and Dory to the performers as they began to act out again "You see what you need to do is go on and follow the EAC Highway, that's East Australian Current Highway. Very big and popular Highway" the Leader told them, as what the performers were acting out to help visualize.

"The Highway, is in that direction" the Leader and the performers all pointed to a direction. "Once you get to the Highway, you two are on your own for transportation. You get a couple of stops here and there, some right along some beaches for great time and views. And that baby's gonna put you right past Sydney!" the Leader exclaimed, giving them more info of the directions "Ta-Da!" the performers sang out, doing jazz hands.

Hearing this news thrilled Marlin "Great! That's great!" he happily exclaimed "Dory you did it!" Marlin smiled at the blue haired woman. Dory blushed a little "Oh please. I'm just your little helper, helping along. That's me" she waved her hand, thinking it was no big deal.

She looked down at her hands and back up at Marlin "Does this mean...I can still come with you?" she asked hopefully "Well, what do you think...partner" Marlin smiled at her. Dory gasped, her smile beamed with radiance. She gave a little joyfuly squeal, then flung her arms around Marlin giving him a hug, the street performers couldn't help but awed at the sight. Which made the red haired man's face turn a deep red. "C-come on, let's get going!" Marlin said, getting out of Dory's embrace.

"Well listen fellas, thank you" Marlin turned his attention to the performers, thanking them for their help, despite the rough start. "Don't mention it, good luck finding your kid" the Leader wished his luck "And try to loosen up, okay buddy?" the Leader added, giving Marlin a thumbs up, the performers too. Marlin nodded, smiling and giving a thumbs up too. "Oh you guys, you really nailed him" Dory turned to the performers, appreciating all their help. "Anything for the Lady" the Leader said, taking Dory's hand in a gentleman way, making her giggle.

"We should tell you there's a shortcut to get to the Highway" the Leader looked up to give her new information "There's an abandon subway, Jellyforest Station I believe. You go through there and it will lead you down the way to the Highway" he told her, making her nod at every word. "Thanks so much, I'll let my partner know." Dory once again thanked them "Okay bye!" she waved to them.

However the Leader cut Dory off, making her stop in her tracks "But there's one more thing you should know about the abandon subway station" he told her. The performers ran over and began to act out once again. "When you're there, it's best if you go down the darker track, not the clear track" the Leader told her, showing her what the performers were acting out.

"Darker track, not clear track. Got it!" She exclaimed, gonna try to remember. She waved goodbye to the group of performers and ran back to Marlin.

"Hey! Wait up partner!" she began to call out to him. Marlin was still ahead of her, he looked around and saw an old subway. Looking at the subway he wondered if they had a map, and maybe a subway train could lead them close to the highway. "Wait! Wait up!" Dory kept on calling to him.

Marlin headed down into the Subway, Dory follow behind him "I gotta tell you something" she said to him. Marlin stopped and Dory stood beside him. She looked up "Whoa" was all she exclaimed.

From the looks on their faces and the silence around them, they had made it to the abandoned subway station as the Street Performers had mentioned. Jellyforest Station

They looked at the abandon subway all around them, it was old and dirty, possibly it had been abandon for years as no subway trains were on the tracks anymore, nor have they gone through and past the station. On the walls were a few street graffiti art. But they looked ahead there were two ways where the subway trains were supposed to be, one side looked a light clear track, while the other was pitch black dark, with a few more graffiti taggings on the walls. It was the darker track that got Marlin and Dory's attention.

"Nice abandon station" Dory said out loud, looking around. She and Marlin looked at the darker track ahead of them. It was so dark, it was hard to see if there was any way down that path. "Hello!" Dory called out, her voice echoed and bounced around the dark track.

Dory stood for a second and shrugged "Okay, let's go this way" she was about to hop down to the tracks but Marlin stopped her "No, bad idea! Bad dark track" he told her the obvious in front of him, not liking the idea of the dark track.

"Come on, we'll take the clearer one" Marlin began to walk over to the clear track. Dory stood and put her hands up "Whoa partner! Little red flag going up!" she stopped him, turning back to the dark track, getting a feeling she remembered something. "Something tells me we should go down this dark track...and not the clear track" she said, having a funny feeling about something ain't right about the clearer path, while the dark path is somehow safer.

Marlin ran back to Dory's side "Are you even looking at this old track? It's got death written all over it!" Marlin stuck his hand out to the way "Who knows what's living down that old dark track, possibly mole people!" he added, knowing that way would lead the two to certain death. "I'm sorry, but I really think we should go down this way" Dory looked at Marlin, knowing her gut feeling was telling her it was safer than the other way despite the dark feel "And I'm really done talking about this, onto the clear track!" Marlin said, trying so hard to make Dory see there wasn't anything wrong with the clear way.

"Come on, trust me on this" Dory said to him "Trust you?" Marlin questioned, looking at her with a raised brow "Yes, it's what friends do" she nodded to him giving a reassuring smile. She just looked and stared at him a smile, giving him a gesture that he had to trust her.

Marlin just stared at the blue haired girl for a moment. When suddenly...

"Oh look! There's something shiny!" Marlin pointed to something "Where?!" Dory exclaimed happily excitedly, turning her head. "Oh, it just flew over to the clear track" Marlin took her hand and both went over to the clearer track.

They both hopped down onto the track, looking both ways, despite no subway train coming, before walking along the tracks.

They walked on for some while, making good time, Marlin felt bad to trick Dory like this. But it was better on this clear track. Although he had to wonder why would she want to go down the dark track?

"Really is clear and safe on this track" Dory said, looking around her surroundings. Marlin looked and noticed an old subway station map "And look at that, here's a map!" Marlin ran over to have a look "If we continue down this clear track, we should find an exit out of the subway and we'll be close to the Highway in no time!" Marlin happily told her, continuing to read the map.

Dory stood watching Marlin read the map, when a sound caught her attention. It was a cute little mewing sound, she looked down with wide eyes. By her feet was a little dirty kitten. It was sitting there, looking up at her and meowing. "Hey little guy!" Dory cooed, bending down to the kitten.

"And you wanted to go down the dark track. Like nothing bad would've happen to us if we went down that way?" Marlin laughed, still looking at the map and not paying any attention to what Dory was doing.

"I shall call him Fluffy, and he shall be mine. And he shall be my Fluffy." Dory decided to give the kitten a name "Come here Fluffy! Come on! Come on little Fluffy!" Dory began to play with the kitten, making baby noise as she did. Dory using her finger to play with the kitten. The kitten just looked at the blue haired woman, he hissed and scratched her finger "Ow!" Dory cried in pain, holding her finger.

Marlin heard Dory's cry, he turned around and gasped "Dory! Get away from that cat!" he ran back "Bad Fluffy! Bad!" Dory yelled at the kitten. Marlin glared at the kitten "Shoo! Go on, shoo!" he tried to shoo the kitten away. The kitten ran away just before Marlin could shoo it with his foot. The kitten ran and disappeared.

"Okay it's gone" Marlin said, turning his attention back to Dory. He knelt down beside her "Let me see" "Don't touch it! Don't touch it!" Dory held her hand "I'm not gonna touch it, I just wanna look" Marlin said in a soothing voice to calm her down. In which Dory had her hand out for Marlin to see her finger.

Now Marlin may not be a doctor, but he had some experiences with injuries, mostly cuts, scraps and wounds for whenever Nemo accidently got hurt. All Marlin would do was he would help calm his son, dry his crying tears and help but a bandage on the wound.

Marlin pushed his glasses up to have a good look at the scratch. "Why would the kitty just scratch me like that? I was only trying to play with him?" Dory innocently asked "Because, that kitty was feral. A wild cat." Marlin told her "To you, you're just playing. But to him he thought you were gonna hurt him, and he had to defend himself" he informed her calmly. She winced a little in pain, but Marlin smiled seeing no real damage.

"It's just a small scratch it will heal" he told her, both getting up. Marlin held her hand "And now we know, we don't play and touch feral cats, they are not pets" he told her, and she nodded in agreement, learning her lesson. "Let's be thankful it was just a kitten and not a whole-!" before Marlin could continue, he gasped to what caught his eyes.

Marlin and Dory yelped and grabbed hold of eachother.

All around them was a pack a feral cats.

The feral cats stood and sat on their places, meowing and hissing at the intruders for entering their home and playing with one of their young.

Now both Marlin and Dory knew why they should've taken the darker track, cause the clear track was home to these feral cats.

Marlin and Dory stood still, feeling the cats beady eyes on them. Normally cats would've run out of sight whenever people are near them, but these cats were more territorial and they didn't like strangers coming and disturbing their home.

"Don't move!" Marlin whispered to Dory, holding up an arm as if trying to protect and shield her. Some of the feral cats began to circle around them, moewing, hissing and growling at them. "This is bad Dory" Marlin whispered, trying to think of a way to escape these cats.

"Hey look what I found!" Dory called out, she held up a broken glass. She somehow forgotten the rough situation she and Marlin were in, getting distracted as she found her new treasure broken glass. "Haha! Look what I can do with just a broken glass and a trick of the light" Dory moved the broken glass into some of the light, making a little light dancing and zooming across on the ground floor. "Dory no!" Marlin tried to get her attention but she was too occupied to listen "This is just too fun!" she exclaimed, still playing with that trick.

"Don't anger the cats even more!" Marlin told her, however something seemed to distract the cats. Marlin looked to see some of the cats were trying to chase and catch that light in their paws. "Wait...they're distracted...by the light! Oh course!" Marlin face palmed himself, forgetting what a little dot of light can do. And with cats, it was a simply good and somewhat hilarious distraction.

Just then Marlin found another broken glass, picking it up and looked up at Dory.

He had an idea of how to get pass these crazed feral cats.

"Dory listen to me!" Marlin ran to Dory, as she was still playing with her glass in the light "I have an idea! A game!" "Game?" Dory turned to Marlin "Yes!" "I love games! Pick me! Pick me!" Dory got all jumpy just hearing about this game waving her hand about. "Okay okay" Marlin held up one hand to calm her down "It's a racing game, whoever can run pass these cats, out of the subway and find the exit, wins" Marlin told her the basic of the 'game.'

"Okay!" Dory nodded "Rules, there are rules" Marlin stopped her to tell her the rule. "To get by the cats, you'll need your glass to shine light to distract the cats to get pass them. Don't go near them-" "Something about the glass shining light on the cats, got it!" Dory exclaimed, turning around and got ready "On your mark, get set, go!" and with a flash Dory was off on a running start, holding her glass up to the light to shine on the ground as the cats ran to chase the light. "Hey, wait wait! Dory!" Marlin called out and ran after her as the rest of the cats started to chase after him.

Dory who was way ahead of him whooped with glee, having fun with this game "Come on, gotta go faster if you wanna win!" she called out to him, dodging the cats as some more were chasing after her. Marlin tried to run as fast as he could, he turned to see the feral cats were still after him, he held up his glass to shine the light which worked for a moment.

Marlin managed to catch up to Dory "Okay, we're cheating death now. That's what we're doing" he muttered to himself. "And we're having fun at the same time, I can do this, just gotta be careful" he continued to reassure positivity to himself as he ran. Dory ran beside him and smirked "Yeah, careful I don't make you cry when I win!" Dory called out as she ran up ahead "Oh I don't think so!" Marlin called out running after her.

Both Marlin and Dory continued to race on with eachother, holding their glasses up and shine the light, the some of the feral cats chased the two, while others were distracted by the strange zooming lights.

Marlin and Dory continued one, they were soon neck and neck "Give it up Old Timer!" Dory tauntingly called out to Marlin "You can't fight evolution, I was built for speed!" she continued to run as race as she could. Marlin glanced at her for a moment "The question is Dory, are you hungry?" he taunted back "Hungry?" "Yeah, cause you're about to eat my dust!" Marlin happily shouted and ran ahead of her, dodging everything in his path.

Marlin ran so fast he was quick as lightning, continuing to run and dodging the cats as he did. He soon came to a halt, he looked around seeing as he was at another part of the subway station. He looked to find stairs heading for the exit. Thinking it was still the race he got out of the tracks, ran to the stairs and ran up.

He made it to the top and was out of the subway.

"And Marlin Clowfisch is the winner!" Marlin raised his arms in victory, winning the race. He cheered and whooped, despite it being almost death defying being chased by feral subway cats, it was actually fun.

Never in all his life he had this much fun in forever.

"We did it! Look at us!" he continued to celebrated, he turned around and noticed silence. There was nothing and no one behind him. "Dory...?" he called out, but there wasn't any sound. He began to worry and ran back down the stairs. Marlin ran over to the tracks, but he didn't see or hear anything from Dory, he began to worry even more.

"Oh no..." not liking the looks of this, he jump back down to the tracks and ran back into were the feral cats were.

"Dory! Dory! Where are you? Dory!" Marlin called out, trying to dodge his way pass the cats. He looked around, trying to remember where they last ran from. Until a sound caught his ears.

He turned to the sound to see feral cats meowing and hissing as they gathered around in a big pile. Marlin looked and spotted Dory on the ground as cats were all over her.

Marlin ran to her side and gasped at the sight of her, she was unconscious. He figure she must've tripped and banged her head on the ground, making her have a concussion. She was covered in dirt from the ground and from the cats, Marlin then noticed that her right arm had a claw mark and a bite mark, seeing that one of the cats must've scratched and bit her.

The cats spotted Marlin and hissed, growled and meowed at the red haired man. Marlin tried to shoo the cats away for them to get away and off Dory. He gathered his strength and with a yell he grabbed Dory and lifted her up, carrying her in his arms bridal style in a way.

Marlin panted and looked around, trying to find the way out, but the cats had surrounded him.

"Am I disqualified...?" Dory mumbled, her head rest on Marlin's shoulder "No! You're doing fine! You're actually winning!" he told her, trying to remain calm, but it was hard to remain calm when crazed feral cats were surrounding him, meowing and hissing at him. "But you gotta stay awake Dory" he told her, but he heard her moaned in pain. She was so tired and in pain it was hard for her to stay awake.

Marlin knew they just had escape now!

"Where does P. Sherman live?" he asked her, hoping that will make her stay awake for him "P. Sherman...Wallaby Way...Sydney..." Dory managed to mumble those familiar words. But she was still too weak.

Marlin looked up and found the escape route, he began to make a run for it "That's it! Stay awake!" he said, picking up his speed, still carrying the blue haired woman in his arms. However it was tough for him to dodge the cats as he didn't have his glass anymore to distract them. But he continued to run to escape them, non-stop no matter what.

The cats continued to chase and attempt pounce on him, but he continued to run and shake the cats off him if they had managed to jump and pounce on him. He didn't even care if he lost his glasses during the escape chase, he still ran no matter what. He just had to get himself and Dory out of this subway.

"Stay awake! Stay awake!" he kept on saying and continued to run, dodging every cat that caught up to him or blocking his way. He had his eyes ahead, seeing the way out, he was almost there "STAY AWAKE!" he yelled, running full speed away from those mangy cats.

He managed to escape from the track and jump out onto the platform and ran back up the stairs, not stopping or looking back if any cats followed him.

He made it back up the stairs and out of the subway. He stopped and panted, feeling exhausted from all that adrenaline.

Marlin caught a glimpse of Dory in his arms as she continued to moan "P. Sherman..." "Awake..." he began to moan a bit, and he fell to his knees. He carefully laid Dory down on the ground "42 Wallaby Way...Sydney..." she continued to moan.

Marlin panted more and began to feel suddenly dizzy "Awake..." his eyes beginning to close, and began to lay down next to Dory.

Marlin tried so hard to keep his eyes open, but he was just too tired and exhausted from all that running, somehow his vision picked up a strange shadowy figure heading his way. But he was too tired to react or even respond and laid his head down.

Soon, everything went black and he was out like a light. The only words he managed to mutter out before falling into the blackness of exhaustion.

"Wake up...Nemo..."

To Be Continued...
