Spirits' World Contaminated: Evil Intent, the Super Demonic Lord Ido
Still in the World of the Duel Monster Spirits, Ruka stands facing Sunlight Unicorn with Kuribon at her feet. Ruka…Ruka…" The voice calls her. "Please, come this way" The voice tells her. Ruka was anxious of a voice calling her. "Your promise…" The voice said. "I don't know what you mean!" Ruka states. "You said that you would protect the world of the Duel Monsters Spirits" The voice tells her. "I didn't promise anything like that!" Ruka disagrees. Suddenly Ido the Supreme Magical Force appears, confronting her. Sunlight Unicorn leaps forward "Don't do it, Sunlight Unicorn!" Ruka calls out. Sunlight Unicorn attacks and destroying Ido. In reality Frank gasps "Well done" He said (Frank's LP: 3700). In the Spirit world, the forest begins to shake "The Forest is angry…" Ruka said. "It's saying that fighting isn't allowed here" She states. Sunlight Unicorn was destroyed. "Sunlight Unicorn…" Ruka gasps. "No, I won't let Sunlight Unicorn die" She determited. Ruka concentrates.
Meanwhile in reality, Frank chuckles. "It's all clear. Your mind is currently in the world of the Duel Monsters Spirit, right" He states. "I'd like it if you told me what kind of world is it" Frank seeks. "You can do it, Ruka!" Yanangi cheers. "Don't lose!" Himuro cheers. "Ruka! Ruka! You can do it! You can so it!" Tenpei cheers. "Ruka…! Ruka…!" Rua, remaining in a trances, thinks. "Something going on here…" Chibimon notice. In the competitor's box room, Yusei, Bomber and Daisuke were watching the Duel. "Ruka is acting strange" Yusei notices and leaves. Both Bomber and Daisuke notices Yusei leaving. "So Yusei, thinks that something up, too" Daisuke thought, and she went after him. "When Horn of the Unicorn is sent to the Cemetery, it returns to the top of my deck" The trance Ruka states. "Next, I activate the Spell Card, Emergency Assistance, from my hand" She said. "It can Special Summon a monster destroyed during this turn" The trance Ruka explains, then Sunlight Unicorn can out of the card. "I revive Sunlight Unicorn" She states (ATK: 1800). "What? Sunlight Unicorn again?" Frank confuses, and then he grits his teeth. "Due to Sunlight Unicorn's effect, if the top card of my deck is a Spell card, I can add it into my hand" The trance Ruka explains and she draw the top card. "The top card of your deck is…" Frank remembers. "I equip Horn of the Unicorn" The trance Ruka states (Sunlight Unicorn's ATK 2500). "I place two cards face-down to end out my turn" She said.
In the Spirit's World, Sunlight Unicorn is reunited with Ruka "Sunlight Unicorn!" Ruka happy to see it, and she run towards it. Sunlight turns its head round and Ruka stops. Then she hears a sound behind her and turns around to see that Ido the Supreme Magical Force has also revived itself. "I forget. Even of that creature is destroyed, it'll still come back to life" Ruka remembers as she backs away from Ido. Ido progress toward Ruka, but Sunlight Unicorn came beside Ruka and she climbs onto Sunlight Unicorn. "Hold on!" Ruka tell Sunlight Unicorn as it gets up. Kuribon then joins Ruka. Together they dash away from Ido. "Kuribon…" Ruka looks at Kuribon with worry. Ruka observes the change in scenery, the previously flourishing trees are now replaced with the bare rotten ones. "How did the forest end up like this?" She wonders. "The intent of the evil ones are trying to pollute the world of Duel Monsters Spirits" The mysterious voice explains. "They are trying to bring the power of the spirits into its dirty clutches" It states. "Evil ones? What do you mean?" Ruka confuses.
Sunlight Unicorn stops and Ruka and Kuribon jumps off. They were at the dry remains of a river, where a large crag stands behind it. "What is that?" Ruka wonders as she looks at the large crag stands. "Ruka, here. I'm here" The mysterious voice said. "The voice is coming from that crag…" Ruka said. Ruka glares forward heeding the shape of a large dragon on the face of the crag. "A dragon?" She wonders. "I know that dragon!" Ruka, startled, proclaims. "Ancient Fairy Dragon!" She remembers. "Ruka, we meet again" Ancient Fairy Dragon said. A gush of water quickly fills the dry river, and a fog rolls in. "What's happing?" Ruka scared. After the fog lifted, Ruka now stands alone at her side of the river, now appears in its past beauty. A younger version of herself plays there with Kuribon, Sunny Pixie, Key Mace, Watapon, Spirit of the Breeze, Jerry Beans Man, Kuribon, Dancing Fairy and Petit Angel, while Ancient Fairy Dragon, in its prime watches over them.

Young Luna creates a garland of flowers "All done!" Young Ruka states. "For you" She tells Kuribon and places it on it, as a crown. Kuribon was very happy. "This place is really pretty" Young Ruka states. All the Duel Monsters Spirits were enjoying themselves, but then the crown falls apart as the flowers wither. "Huh? Why did the flower…" Young Ruka wonders. "Ruka, it's all because of the intent of the evil ones who are drawing near to this world of the Duel Monsters Spirits" Ancient Fairy Dragon explains. The young Ruka looks at Ancient Fairy Dragon. "Eventually, the intent of the evil ones shall try to invade this world, pollute it, and bend control of it to their pleasing" Ancient Fairy Dragon tells the young Ruka. "However, there is one being which can put a stop to that" She states. "Put a stop to?" Young Ruka asks. "Ruka, that would be you" Ancient Fairy Dragon tells her. "Me?" Young Ruka confuses. "This world of spirits is linked to your mind" Ancient Fairy Dragon tells young Ruka. "Your mind of good will repel away any mind of evil" She explains. "I wish for you to live with all of us in this world" Ancient Fairy Dragon asks young Ruka. "I'm so lonely…." Young Ruka considers the idea. "Mom and dad are always so busy at work, and Rua can only think about himself" She said. "But this place is fun!" Young Ruka states. "I'm gonna stay here and I'll protect all of you!"She says. The Duel Spirits were happy. "Ruka…" Ancient Fairy Dragon said as she flies down to her. She then wraps herself around young Ruka and the Duel Monsters, and then a golden dome covers them. Young Ruka smiles.

"That's right. I do remember" Ruka remembers. "I did make a promise back then. One to protect this world. But…" She said.
Back in the real world, Yusei and Daisuke dashes into the arena. "Ruka!" Yusei calls out. "Are you okay!?" Daisuke calls out. But they get no response. "Ruka" Yusei worries. "What's going on here?" Daisuke wonders. Both of turns to Frank and notices that he too is now tranced. "What in the world happened to these two?" Yusei wonders. "This is getting weird" Daisuke thought. In the stands "Ruka…Ruka…Ruka-" The tranced Rua calls out, where his consciousness lies. Rua then falls onto Tenpei's lap, with Chibimon almost falling off. "Rua! What's wrong?!" Tenpei worries as he shakes Rua. "Rua, y'okay!?" Yanagi worries as Himuro went to check on him. Himuro quickly checks him "This looks bad. He's unconscious" He said. "Rua!" Tenpei calls out. "Let's get 'im to the infirmary!" Yanagi suggests. "What in the world is going on here?" Chibimon wonders. "Ruka…Ruka…" Rua calls out.
"But, back then, I heard Rua's voice" Ruka remembers. The flashback at the other side of the river, reruns that moment

"Ruka! Ruka!" Rua calls out to her. "Rua!" Young Ruka calls out.

Ruka then fell on to her knees. "That's right…I deserted all of you and ran away from here" She remembers. "All because of Rua's voice, because of Rua's cries…" Ruka said. "But, I was really afraid!" She states. "I was afraid to protect any of you, here, all by myself" Ruka confesses. "So, I tried to forget about you all and locked this world inside my mind…" She regrets. Ruka hears a growling noise and turns to find Ido, now behind her.
In reality, "Ruka!" Yusei calls out, with Daisuke getting concerned about her. They both turned to Frank. "What's going on here? Him too?" Yusei confuses. Then Yusei notices a Dragon Birthmark on Ruka's arm. "That light…!" Yusei gasps. "Huh? Light?" Daisuke confuses. She then looks at Ruka and saw the Dragon Birthmark. "What's that?" Daisuke wonders. Ruka's Dragon Birthmark was reflecting in the trances Frank's eye. In Godwin's box room "We have a reaction! Yes we do!" Akutsu, on a floating screen, reports. "There is no doubt that Ruka is a Signer!" He says, while hyperactively holding up his D-Sensor showing them the reading. Godwin looks down at the arena and smiles. In the Spirit World, Ido was in front of both Ruka and Kuribon. In realty, Rua was being hauled on a stretcher down to the infirmary, with Tenpei, Yanagi, Himuro, a staff member and Chibimon, who was beside on the stretcher. "Rua!" Tenpei calls out. "Y'okay, Rua!?" Yanagi worried. "Rua!" Himuro calls out. "Why is Rua…?" Chibimon thinks. Rua doesn't responds. Back in the arena "It's almost looks like they're unconscious…" Yusei observes. "It's my turn…" The trance Frank said.
In the Spirit World "Draw!" Frank declares. Ido then starts to fade away. Kuribon hides behind Ruka "W-What?" Ruka confuses. Ido disappears from the Spirit World, leaving Frank now standing in its place. "This is the world of the Duel Monsters Spirits" Frank said. "For you to pull me in like this…" He states. "You really are a Signer!" Frank, having now lost his calm nature, excitedly declares. "Signer?" Ruka unaware of what a Signer is. "There are individuals who desire your powers" Frank tells her. "Come now. Why not take a trip with the kind gentlemen?" He demands as Ido reappears behind him. "To a world the will properly unleash your powers" Frank tells her. "Come now" He said as shadow came out from beneath him. "Why? I don't have any powers like that. So, why me!?" Ruka, now confuses, states. "Just leave me alone!" She orders. Surrounding trees begin to crumble, while a dark shadowy matter spreads around from below Frank. "Why must I protect this world? Why so you all need my power?" Ruka consumes. "Rua, call out for me! Just like that one time! Bring me back home! Rua!" She, terrified, calls out. In reality, Rua, who was lays on a bed, move a bit. "What's the matter, Rua?" Tenpei concerned. "Come on, snap out of it!" Himuro said. "Ru-Ruka…" Rua mutters. In the Spirit World "Ruka…Ruka…" Ruka hears Rua's voice. "Rua? Rua? I'm right here!" Ruka looks around for him. "Please, bring me back home!" She pleaded. "Ruka…Ruka…" Rua's voice calls out. "Where are you, Rua?" Ruka wonders. Then a puddle appeared under Ruka feet and she moves away. "Ruka…Ruka…" Rua's voice calls out from the puddle. Ruka leans down and stares at her reflection in a nearby puddle, which changes to Rua's face "Ruka…Ruka…" Rua calls out. It changes back to Ruka. "Rua, bring me back!" Ruka tells him. The refection changes to Rua. "I can't. I was watching" Rua tells her. "You made a promise with them, didn't you?" He says. The refection changed to Ruka. "Rua!" Ruka calls out. The refection changes to Rua. "I want to be strong like Yusei" Rua says. In reality "Ruka…" Rua mutters. In the Spirit World "I'll protect you, so you have to protect that world, Ruka" Rua tells her. The refection changes to Ruka. "Rua…" Ruka said. The puddle disappears. Ruka then looks around and a chunk falls from the crag. Kuribon looks at Ruka and Sunlight Unicorn came to her side.
"I will…I will" Ruka said. At this point, her eyes return to normal in reality. "Ruka's eyes…" Yusei notices. "Their back to normal!" Daisuke said. In the Spirit World Ruka stands up and turn to the carving of Ancient Fairy Dragon "I will protect this world! I will protect Kuribon and everyone else!" She declares to the carving of Ancient Fairy Dragon. She turns to face Frank. Her Duel Disk reappears on her arm and her and Frank's cards assume their positions on the field. "Reverse card, open! Pixie Ring!" Ruka declares. "If there are two or monsters on my side of the field, the opposing player cannot attack the monster on my field with the lowest attack power!" She explains. "I won't let you attack Kuribon anymore!" Ruka proclaims. In that case, I activate the Continuous Spell, Wave of Ill Intent, from my hand!" Frank declares. He then snickers "Whenever a monster on my field is destroyed by battle, the opposing player receives 300 points of damage!" Frank explains. Ruka gasps in shock. "Ido the Supreme Magical Force attacks Sunlight Unicorn!" Frank declares. "Violent Egoism!" He yells out. Ido attack, and Sunlight Unicorn counterattacks and destroys Ido (Frank's LP: 3400). "That hurt, little deary" Frank states. "But, you will be taking on this pain for yourself!" He exclaims. "Wave of Ill Intent's effect activates!" Frank declares and a red light hits Ruka (Ruka's LP: 1200). "I can take it…" Ruka states. "How much longer will your brave front hold?" Frank wonders. "I activate the Spell Card, Spirit Contamination!" He declares. "Its allowed to activate in the turn a monster is destroyed" Frank states. "It can destroy one Spell or Trap card on my opponent's side of the field!" He explains, and a purple light destroying Pixie Ring, which was shielding Kuribon. "Kuribon's guard was disabled!" Ruka gasps. "During this End Phase, Ido the Supreme Magical Force will be revived" Frank states. Ido then revives itself. (ATK: 2200). "I end my turn" Frank states. "It's my turn. Draw!" Ruka declares. Frank cackles. "And now, since Kuribon's attack power is still changed, you will take on Immortal Homeostasis' effect!" He declares. "300 points of damage!" Frank yells (Ruka's LP: 900). "Even if I attack and destroyed his monster, it'll all just lead to suffering" Ruka thinks. "What should I do?" She wonders. Frank snickers. "I place one card face-down, and then, activate the Spell card, Healing Wind, from my hand!" Ruka declares. "I regain 200 Life points for each monster on the field" She explains. "I end my turn" Ruka states (Ruka's LP 1500). "To tell you the truth, your powers are of no concern to me" Frank states. "I would be satisfied with just being able to defeat you!" He declares. "I would be satisfied with seeing the look on your-the spirits-this world's face as it suffers!" Franks says. Frank laughs maniacally. More of the scenery crumbles as he laughs. "This all…This man…he's a bad person!" Ruka states. "I can't let him do this! I can't!" She says. "Ido the Supreme Magical Force attacks Kuribon!" Frank declares. "Suffer, Kuribon!" He shouts out. "Violent Egoism!" Frank declares. "I won't let you! Trap card, open! Fairy Wind!" Ruka declares. "It destroys all face-up Spell and Trap cards on the field, aside from this card!" She explains. "What!?" Frank shocked. All Spell and Trap cards were destroyed. In reality Ancient Forest disappeared and both Yusei and Daisuke gasp. In the Spirit World, the area shakes as Frank backs up. "Both players then take 400 points of damage for each card destroyed by this card's effect" Ruka adds (Frank's LP: 2200). "Now that your Equip Spell is gone, Kuribon's attack power returns to 300" She states (Ruka's LP: 300) (Kuribon's ATK: 300). "Battle resumes!" Ruka declares. "It's back to 300, but what good is it!?" Frank mocks. "I will devour that spirit!" He declares and Ido's attack continues. "Kuribon's Monster Effect!" Ruka declares as Kuribon glows and goes back to Ruka's hand. "By returning Kuribon to my hand when its targeted with an attack, it reduces that monster's Battle Damage to 0, and that monster's player regains Life Points equal to the attack power of the monster targeted by the effect" Ruka explains (Frank's LP: 4400). "You won't lay a hand on Kuribon or anybody in this world!" She refuses. Frank snickers "I'll just contaminate your littlw world, then!" He says. Frank laughs causing more parts of the scenery to fall apart.
The fossilized Ancient Fairy Dragon emerges from the crag. "Ancient Fairy Dragon is angry!" Ruka said. "It's so angry at that man that it doesn't even realize that is being hurt!" She observes. It grabs Frank who was now so caught up in his laughter, he doesn't realize what is happening. Ruka runs towards them "If I don't do something, that man will…" She said. "Please, Ancient Fairy Dragon! Settle your anger!" Ruka pleas. Her pleas come to no effect. "If I just end this duel…" Ruka thought. "Reverse card, Oberon's Prank!" She declares. "It negates any effects that recovers Life Points (Frank's LP: 2200) and both players receive damage equal to that amount!" Ruka explains. A tornado came down on both of them. Frank was blow away from the fossilized Ancient Fairy Dragon's grasp (Frank's LP: 0). Ruka was then blow away too (Ruka's LP: 0). "The intent of the evil one who sealed me away…That…" Ancient Fairy Dragon tries to tell Ruka, but then there was a flash of light.
Back in reality, both players regain their consciousness. Frank falls backwards. "Where is he?" Ruka wonders. She see Frank stand back up "Thank goodness" Ruka relived and falls. Yusei catches Ruka and carries her away from the Duel Field, with Daisuke following them. The crowd was in awe. "Where is Rua?" Ruka wonders.
In the infirmary, Rua wakes up "Rua! Am I ever glad" Tenpei said. "Huh? Where am I?" Rua confuses. "You fainted and collapsed!" Himuro tells him. "Huh? I did!?" Rua surprised. "Feels like I've been dreaming, if only I remember what it was…" He says. "You're just too much" Himuro states. "Oh right. What's up with Ruka?" Rua asks. "Look there" Tenpei directs their attention to a screen projection. "The first consolation game…has ending in fierce tie!" The MC announces with a tone of regret. "It's a double elimination..." He said, with his head down. "Eh!?" Rua shocked, and slumps down in dishearten.
Yusei observes Ruka's dragon birthmark disappear as he carries her. Daisuke also notices it to "What was that…?" She wonders. Ruka sees a spirit of Kuribon "Don't worry. I'll protect your world" She tells it. She then leaps out of Yusei's arms "I'll be okay. I can walk by myself" Ruka claims. "Do whatever you want" Yusei tells her. "Yeah" Daisuke agrees. Ruka gives one last wave to the crowd as she departs the arena. Yusei and Daisuke follows her, but Yusei stops and looks at Godwin's box room, where both Godwin and Yeager were smiling. "That kid also has a birthmark…" Jack observes.
In a unknown area a hand was spinning the "Ancient Fairy Dragon" card.
