The restaurant was crammed with children. All of them were sitting at tables, stuffing their faces with pizza and treats. "Well... everyone seems happy here," Roxas commented.
Sora nodded. "Yeah, they do. I wonder if they do birthday parties here,"
"They most likely do," Hayner said. "I think the group of those kids over there are having one."
A table next to them had about 10 kids, and they all had party hats on. Sora noticed that most of the tables had decorations of what seemed to be cartoons. "What are those?" He asked.
"I don't know," Roxas said. As they were walking in between the tables, they walked right up to a stage.
Sora stopped and stared at what was on the stage. "Woah..." He said.
It was two golden robots. A bear and a rabbit.
Once Hayner and Roxas came up, they both gasped.
"Is that-"
"Fredbear?" Sora finished what Hayner was going to say. "It looks like him,"
"It is... look-," Roxas pointed to a sign next to the stage.
"Welcome to the stage, the one and only Fredbear and Spring Bonnie from the closed Fredbear's Family Diner! They both are here to give you all their lovable warm magic! Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica are currently undergoing maintenance and will be absent from future shows until further notice. Foxy will still be able to give you his ARRG-riffic pirate songs in Pirate's Cove. Make sure to sail the high seas with Foxy The Pirate-Fox!"
"So... this place has Animatronic mascots? Cool," Roxas said. "Really cool," Sora said.
In the corner of his eye, Sora saw Chris walk into a separate room. "There's Chris," Sora said. He got up and walked over to the door.
Once his friends caught up, they saw that it was the arcade the room led to. The sounds of all the 8-bit notes and beeps and boops echoed throughout the room.
Chris was over at one part of the room, putting some coins into a Pacman game.
Sora walked up to him. "Chris?" Sora called out. Chris was about the grab the control stick but then looked behind him. "Huh?"
"Uhh... are you doing ok?"
"Yeah, are you?" Roxas asked after.
Chris blinked. "I... I guess? Do... I know you?"
Sora shook his head. "No, you don't us. We just saw Michael being mean to you. We... do you want our help?"
Chris looked into Sora's eyes, blinked, then turned back to his game. "I don't like Michael. He's always really mean to me,"
Sora looked at Roxas, and Hayner, who both shrugged.
Sora walked to the arcade that was next to the one Chris was at. It was a racing game. Sora sat in the chair and faced the 5-year-old.
"What does he do? He doesn't hurt you physically does he?"
Chris shook his head. "No. He... He knows I don't like Fredbear,"
Sora tilted his head. "What do you mean?"
Chris looked at Sora. "Daddy... he... kinda owns this place. He has built the robots. He designed Fredbear. He used to be in Fredbear's Family Diner. It closed recently, but... they brought the robots to work here while Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica are all getting repaired. I don't do well with mascots. They terrify me, and Fredbear... makes me really uncomfortable, and Michael knows this..."
Sora felt bad for him. "So... Michael teases you about your fear?"
Chris shook his head. "No... He... forces me to always go near him,"
"That's messed up," Roxas said folding his arms.
"Why does your dad not do something about that? Someone needs to put Michael in his place," Sora said.
"He has... I don't believe he likes Michael very much. But Michael never listens. I think daddy wants me to stay with him, but... he's so busy making Animatronics, and stuff..."
Sora sighed.
"Your dad seems very cool though. Robot maker? And not an evil one?"
"Are you talking about the story you told us about when you went to Christmas Town?" Hayner asked Sora with a chuckle. But then Roxas nudged Hayner's arm. "The order!" He whispered loudly.
"S-Shit..." Hayer quietly said. But Chris thankfully didn't take much notice of it, and just continued to play his Pac-Man.
"Chris! Bloody hell, what is with you? Why are you always so scared of these lifeless metal animals?"
Chris gasped, looking back at Michael, who was walking towards him.
Sora narrowed his eyes at Michael. He stood in front of Chris, who was still standing at the arcade. "Why don't you stop bullying your own brother?" Sora said.
"Yeah," said Roxas as he also did stand in front of Chris.
Michael stopped and looked at the Kingdom Hearts characters.
"You three idiots again? Who the hell are you?"
"Someone who is working to be Chris's real friends. You as a brother are supposed to protect your little brother. Not make him develop phobias,"
"Idiot, I'm trying to make him overcome his phobia! The idiot's scared of Fredbear. The only way to make him not scared is to force him to be near it!" Michael yelled.
Sora looked back at Chris to see if he was doing alright. Sora didn't see it before, but there was a plush toy of Fredbear sitting on the arcade machine. Chris grabbed it and hugged it. It looked like Michael's yelling, didn't help his anxiety. Then, he got up.
"C-Chris?" Sora asked as he saw him walking away.
Sora went to follow him.
Chris ran out of the restaurant. Sora ran after him, followed by Hayner and Roxas, thankfully Michael didn't follow them.
"Chris!" Sora yelled out. He finally caught up to him. "Chris, please stop!"
Chris stopped and looked behind him. Tears were streaming down his face from his eyes.
Sora couldn't help but feel bad for him. His brother was clearly tormenting him a lot. "I'm not going back! So don't make me! I'm going home,"
"B-But your dad said-,"
"I don't care!"
Hayner caught up with Sora.
"Sora, what's the matter?"
"What do you think genius? His brother is such a horrible older brother to him,"
"He is it seems like," Roxas said.
But, Sora wanted to help. Chris wasn't allowed back home, because his dad is working on something, but what if Sora said something about the situation? He could change his mind.
So, Sora caught back up with Chris and started to walk with him. "I can try and talk to your dad for you. Roxas and Hayner will too,"
Chris stopped and looked at Sora. "...really?"
Sora nodded. "Yes," he said with a smile.
Chris knocked on the door to the house.
Roxas, and Hayner both stood nearby. Sora was next to Chris. The door opened, revealing that same man.
"Chris? I told you to stay at-," He noticed Sora and the rest. He arched his eyebrow. "You three? So Michael did have a third guest when he wasn't supposed to,"
"Sorry sir, but we are not friends with Michael. We just came to visit ourselves. We just... saw how Michael was treating Chris," Sora said. The man sighed. "Yes... I know."
"Daddy, why can't I stay with you? You let my sister stay!"
"That's because Elizabeth nags me so much, I eventually caved, she always wants to see my work. You know this," the man sighed. "Come in,"
Chris smiled and ran inside.
"You all as well," He said to Sora and his friends.
So, with little hesitation, they walked inside the home. The living room was a little big. There was a kitchen on the right and a few doors on the left. Probably went to a few rooms.
"How did you three find out about Fazbears?"
Sora looked at him. "Oh... uh... um, well, it's getting popular, isn't it? Wanted to check it out," Sora came up with a quick lie. He was fairly surprised once he found out the man bought it.
"Yeah, since the closure of Fredbear's Family Diner because of the rather strange missing children incident, was pretty surprised how quickly it came back to light,"
Sora, Roxas, and Hayne exchanged looks. "M-Missing children?" Roxas asked.
"Yes. But I think it's all a hoax. Anyways, my name is William. William Afton. No need to call me Mr. Afton or Mr. William. William will be just fine,"
"I heard from Chris that you designed the robots?" Sora asked.
William nodded. "Yes. An old friend of mine, Henry helped to fund the place. But I have the mind to make the magic. He runs the bills, and I run the income if you get my drift. I make the magic with the restaurants,"
They continued to talk, but then a girl came out from a room. "Daddy, please, when can I go see her-" She stopped talking when she saw Sora and the rest.
William sighed. "For the last time Elizabeth, you can not. She's... unstable. I don't want you getting hurt,"
Elizabeth pouted and walked back to her room.
"Elizabeth, where are your manners, at least great our guests-," William said.
She sadly looked at them. "H-Hi..." She said as she walked into her room.
"Bloody hell this child," William said, rubbing his face. "Sorry about her."
"It's alright!" Sora said with a smile. "Sounds like she just wants to see her dad's creation,"
"Yes, and only if it was that. The robot I've made is a little unstable, and it's not ready to be shown to anyone. I don't want my daughter getting hurt by it," William said.
Roxas nodded. "I understand what you mean."
Sora looked around. He was looking for Chris, but Chris was nowhere to be seen. "Where's Chris?"
"Probably is up in his room. You're all welcome to go to him if you'd like,"
Sora nodded. "Thank you!"
The three were about to go up the steps, but then William said something else
"Since you all love the pizzeria, how about a tour later?" William asked.
"A tour?" Sora asked.
William nodded. "Yes! I can take you all backstage to show you how the old spring-lock suits function. It's pretty educational, and fun. I kid you not, it's rather interesting."
"Sounds fun!" Sora said.
"Sure I'd be up for that," Roxas said.
"Not gonna lie, Sounds interesting. Spring-lock? What's that?"
"I'll explain it all to you at the restaurant,"
"This is going to be tricky to find the gem. I still don't even understand how this can be a game to Mark. This is vastly different from what Minecraft was," Sora said to his friends as they traveled up the stairs.
"I know," Roxas said. "I can't even pick up what genre it is. Minecraft, it was a little blunt and obvious,"
"All I got so far is Bullying: The Game," Hayner said.
"Mark's too pure to play something like that," Sora said.
"We just gotta try harder,"
Just then Hayner's stomach growled. "And please, let's actually get the pizza when we go back, I'm starving,"
"Maybe the gem's in the pizza!" Sora said with a small giggle because he was joking.
Roxas giggled along with him. "Just our luck Hayner swallows the gem and then it's lost forever in his stomach,"
"Ok, ew. No way am I ever going to fish a gem out of a toilet," Sora said.
They were finally on the second floor.
A few rooms were up there, and one room had kids drawing on it. "Must be Chris,"
Sora knocked on it.
He waited for a bit. But then, Chris opened it slowly. But when he saw that it was Sora, he opened it wider. "Oh, it's you... I should have known, Michael never knocks. I thought all of you left,"
"No, we wanted to check on you,"
"Thanks..." Chris said. "You all seem very nice."
He let them into his room. There were a lot of stuffed toys all over the place.
There was a bed at the side, a closet at the front, and two tours on either side. The other door leads to a closet. And the door on the left was the door Sora and his friends walked into.
It looked exactly like how a 5-year-old's room should look like. But, it really looked like something close to Mark's world. So, Sora figured that probably the game is just made to look like it.
"Those are my friends over there. I love my plushies. But this is my favorite-," Chris showed them a golden bear. "Isn't... that Fredbear?"
Chris nodded.
"I... thought you hated Fredbear?"
Chris nodded. "But, I like the plush,"
The plush's eyes shined for a moment. Sora squinted. Did... he see that? No one else did it seemed like. Hayner and Roxas were just talking to Chris normally.
"You alright?" He heard Chris say.
Sora looked at him, then nodded.
Chris continued to keep on showing Sora and the rest of everything that was in his room. But then... Sora heard scratching sounds coming from the closest that was on the other side of the room.
At first, Sora felt scared, because he was sure it was just him hearing this now, but then he saw everyone turn their heads. "What was that?" Hayner asked.
"Maybe something fell over in there. I'm... not really one to keep my closet tidy,"
Chris walked up to the closet. He opened the door-
Then-
RAWWWRRRRR!
A Fox jumped out from the closet.
"AHHHH!" Chris shrieked in horror and ran to Sora, and hid behind him, he started to cry because of the sudden scare. Even Sora and everyone else got scared.
It was Michael, wearing the Fox mask again.
"Michael!? When the hell did you come in here?!" Sora yelled.
"Hahahha! The look you dorks faces! HAHAHAAHAHAHA!" Michael laughed.
"That wasn't funny man!" Roxas yelled.
"Yeah!" Sora yelled.
Michael took off running, pushing them out of the way, and ran down the room, and the steps.
"Hey! No running in the house!" They heard William yell at Michael from downstairs. There was a three-second pause then-
"Wait... when the hell did you come in here?"
"Exactly," Hayner said to his friends. "When did he come in here?"
Sora turned around, then crouched down to Chris's height. He placed a hand on his shoulder. "You alright?" He asked. Chris nodded. "I think so," he said, wiping his eyes.
"You three still up there with Chris? We gotta go If you still want that tour. Fazbear is going to close in an hour and I gotta lock up. Chris, you stay here and please don't let Michael trouble you,"
"Alright! We'll be down in a sec!" Sora said. He looked back at Chris. "We gotta go for a bit, will you be fine?"
"I survived this long, I'm sure I can get through one day without dying,"
