Back on Earth, in a place called Knowhere, we find a small dog with purple fur and a black spot sitting on a bench, looking up at the sky deep in thought.
'Ever since I started living with Muriel and Eustace, I have constantly been fighting all matters of supernatural beings. I just wish I had some way of better protecting them.' He thought.
He was snapped out of his thoughts when a blue ring appeared in front of him.
"Courage of nowhere, you have the ability to instill great hope. "Welcome to the Blue Lantern Corps," it said.
The ring then flew onto his finger, and in an instant, his fur changed from purple to blue with the ring symbol on his chest.
Before he could question this, he disappeared in a blue light.
