(Chapter 13: School-Time Shenanigans)
The end of November was coming close at hand as the chill of winter had begun to show itself in the Hidden Village, yet the weather did nothing to quell the high-spirited energy that filled the academy; even moreso for Naruto who unlocked a new alien he dubbed Juggernaut; given how much of a brute-force powerhouse it was. Seeing as how everyone was excited for the upcoming winter break and the few short months it meant until everyone could graduate, with the rookies of said class to put it simply couldn't wait for a break that couldn't come quickly enough in their minds.
(November 28th, 996 S.E, The Academy, 12:40 Pm)
It was during lunch period as Naruto and Sasuke were going over some things in regards to their training, among other things that were going on with the two of them.
"So how good would you say our odds of besting the twins when it comes time for the genin exams are?" Naruto asked the Uchiha before him
"At our current trajectory, I say that we stand a rather reasonable chance of defeating them...The extra training we've recieved has worked wonders for the both of us." Sasuke said after having finished his bento box
"Our training has left us to the point where we are competent enough to take on Chunin, and if we were to truly push our luck; even fight against Tokubetsu Jonin on a near even footing…That's not withstanding your ace in the hole with the Ultimatrix." Sasuke added as he spared a momentary glance at the device hidden under Naruto's sleeves
"You definitely aren't wrong about that. Plus, I think that we could definitely take it this year, since anything goes in the genin exams. Which means, I get free reign to use the gadgets I've been building." Naruto said with a grin that was one part the mad inventor within, and one part his desire for being a full-on menace
"Considering what your non-lethal ones are capable of alone. I say that you definitely stand a good chance of beating most of our classmates." Sasuke noted
"Trust me I've got a lot of fun stuff planned that can shut our peers down…As I really have to thank Uncle Obito for buying me all those cool manga to give me ideas." Naruto said his grin widening
"Why am I not surprised that you would say that... I swear sometimes you two share the same brain cell, when you are together." Sasuke replied knowing full well that his uncle and best friend were almost the exact same person at times
"In my defense, he's super cool to hang out with. Plus its not my fault Unc is one of the most awesome shinobi in the village." Naruto stated
"I will not argue with that, though I do wonder just what sort of ideas he's given you…Hopefully, I won't have to worry about anything exploding or any of your new creations, will I?" Sasuke wondered
"Well, I haven't come up with any really big explosives quite yet. That's something of a longer-term goal I have in mind. Although, I did get bored and he gave me a cool idea for my Chimera Metallica; that I'm really excited for…Oh man, is that gonna be fun to see in action when it all comes together." Naruto said with a chuckle that sent a shiver down Sasuke's spine
"Should I even want to know to know what you've added onto this thing?" Sasuke questioned semi-nervous to even know what Naruto had cooked up
"Not really, no. However, I will say that what it will do is gonna be super cool." Naruto answered back
Since he was quite happy with the progress of his Scrap Guards and their combination into Chimera Metallica, as he was able to constantly work on perfecting and upgrading his Scrap Guards into being better and better mechanical guardians for his home. This was made all the better by the resources he had at his disposal thanks to ROOT and the fact that he had people such as his Uncle Obito, Masako and even Shisui to help him with ideas from time to time.
"I feel like the less I know the better, given how much of a mad scientist you are most of the time." Sasuke said knowing how much Naruto loved being a mad tinkerer
"Oh please, I'm not a mad scientist per say. I'd prefer being called a mechanical enthusiast is all." Naruto replied in feeling that was a much more apt descriptor
"Call it whatever you want, all I know is that if they allowed half of what you wanted; then the hospital would have a greater number of patients to deal with." Sasuke said back in regards to Naruto's more lethal gadgets
"That's fair. But hey, I'm not complaining since Mizuki-sensei banned the twins from using the 9 tails's chakra...Which I will take as a massive win." Naruto said thankful that he wouldn't have to worry about them being roided out on it everytime they didn't get their way
"That is a reliever to me as well. Seeing as how my Sharingan may be growing stronger every day, but it is not at a level where I can reliably suppress it, should they throw a hissy fit…At least not yet." Sasuke spoke in knowing his Sharingan wasn't at the level to do just that
"I mean give it a few more months…maybe by this summer and before you know it. We're gonna have a full-evolved and ready-to-go Sharingan on our hands." Naruto replied as Sasuke gave a hopeful smile
"The day I fully evolve my Sharingan, will be one of the happiest days of my life." Sasuke said back
"Speaking of evolution, and this is just a wild ass thought I've been having. But I wonder if there's something in this thing that can let me evolve my aliens, to some kind of super form or something?" Naruto wondered in regards to alieens
"It wouldn't be that far of a possibility, given that this is technology from the stars. So having the ability to take your transformations into a higher level of power, isn't to far out of the question." Sasuke reasoned
"Yeah, the only question is how to unlock the shit? Because if I can do that, then I can be even more of a menace than I was before with 'em." Naruto said back, with excitement at the potential of having evolved forms of his aliens
"I would advise you hold off on that until we pass the genin exams, and we have our new jonin sensei. That way you would have far more freedom to train with the evolved forms of your transformations…We already know that they are strong enough as they are, I almost shudder to think of the power they would have if taken to an evolved state of power." Sasuke replied in trying to picture the scale of power Naruto's aliens could potentially be evolved into
"Hey, all I know is that there's possibly way to take things to another level, and I'm all here on trying to figure it out!" Naruto said back with a grin
'I wonder an evolved form of someone like DashRaptor or Doomfire would be like? Please let it be something that makes my dad's Sage mode look like ass.' Naruto wondered to himself on what said evolved versions of his aliens could be like
"That being said, I say that we continue this conversation for another time. Seeing as how lately it feels as though we've had someone watching us." Sasuke said in having felt as though they were being watched by something or someone nowadays
"Yeah…I feel the same way, man. I don't know if its my folks catching on, or something else, but I've been getting the creeps lately." Naruto replied in having felt the same way as well
"Then why don't we head inside, away from prying eyes?" Sasuke said as Naruto got up in agreement
"I am right behind you, my guy. The less I feel like I'm getting creeped on the better." Naruto replied whilst packing away his lunch box
Yet unbeknownst to them was a large crow that had been staring at them for the duration of their lunch period…yet unlike a normal crow this one had the bloodshine red of a Sharginan for its eyes. With said corvid waiting until both teenagers had gone back inside to the academy building before it flew away to report back to its master, who was taking care of Anbu paperwork.
(2 days later, November 30th, 996 S.E, Hokage Tower, 4:48 Pm)
It was the following Wednesday as Mizuki was in Minato's office to report all of his findings on the 'actual reports' of Naoya and Hayase; the academy teacher having never been more grateful to always keep backup files on his students just in case.
"That is all of the actual files, Lord Hokage. It's a good thing I always record backups of them in case something happened." Mizuki said after handing down the last of the folders to the blonde Hokage
"Thank you, Mizuki. I know this must have been a tedious assignment for you to undertake... Nevertheless, your doing this for me is greatly appreciated." Minato replied in thanks for Mizuki's cooperation
"Not a problem at all. Especially when I'm the main person that does record-keeping at the academy, I tend to take the possibility of someone falsifying records very seriously." Mizuki said back
"While we may be shinobi, and part of our job is that of deception and subterfuge. There must be some level of accountability and realism for what we do. Otherwise, we risk sending out the next generation into missions they aren't prepared for, and for what. Because they wanted to puff themselves up to look good in front of their friends…give me a break. Either put in the honest hard work to wear a headband, or go somewhere else.." Mizuki spoke as despite everything, even he knew their had to be some honor system to being a shinobi
"I didn't know that you felt that way. Then again your work ethic as one of our best instructors certainly shows it." Minato remarked at Mizuki's overall stellar commitment to being a shinobi
"I just believe that if the next generation of soldiers is to be trained in the village. Then I should make sure that not only my due diligence is done, to make sure they succeed on future missions. I also believe that it is by necessity that I have to make sure that everything is on the up and up. Otherwise, I fail and we risk more shinobi dying when with everything going on…that is a luxury cannot be afforded." Mizuki spoke with such fervor in his voice that it further caught the attention of the Hokage
"That is a rather interesting sentiment you share. However, there are a few things that I wish to ask you about…One of which I will ask you at the end of this meeting." Minato replied
"By all means Lord Hokage, ask away." Mizuki said back
"Very well then…With your aid, I would like to ask as to whom do you think is behind the falsification of the reports, and why they would hide them from me? As one of the record keepers at the academy, and one of its best instructors. I would like to ask you this." Minato questioned the silver-haired Chunin
"To be honest with you, I'm surprised you haven't figured it out yourself. I mean the answer to who it is, and why is right in front of you almost every single day." Mizuki answered back
"Would you care to elaborate?" Minato questioned Mizuki once again
"Who I'm talking about is Lord Jiraiya…Think about it, beyond you and your wife. Who else would be the most invested in Naoya and Hayase? Who else would have the pull and influence to make sure that those two pass everything with flying colors, and look like star pupils at the academy. After all, he out of everyone makes the most sense of who would do it." Mizuki said to the Toad Sage's very student
"I mean who else other than him would do this, and it not make the most plausible sense? Because I highly doubt that your wife would go to such lengths to make sure they pass the academy." Mizuki added in seeing no one else but Jiraiya as the culprit
"Kushina would never in a thousand years do something like that. If anything she would rather them take the classes over as many times as it takes in order to get things right, and earn a headband correctly." Minato spoke fully knowing that his wife would never be the one to do things like this
"It probably wouldn't be Kakashi or Obito. Since those two may be your students, but even I know that you had taught them well enough to never do something like this." Mizuki said in knowing full well that neither of Minato's surviving students could be the culprit in this
"You are correct again, Mizuki. While I have taught those two to be as upstanding as possible as shinobi. Those two know better than to not pull a stunt like this, especially for reasons of their own." Minato remarked in regards to his remaining students
With it being in concerns to Obito that he didn't really care for either of the twins, and much moreso took to Naruto in seeing him as family while he could care less about Naoya and Hayase for personal reasons; whilst with Kakashi the silver-haired jonin was more aloof and hands-off when it came to things outside of shinobi duties, and as such didn't meddle in things that did not concern him.
"Which means by process of elimination, and in terms of motives that Lord Jiraiya is the man you are looking for, Lord Hokage." Mizuki spoke
"I..I honestly can't believe that he would go behind my back and do these things." Minato said in disbelief
"Well, it isn't really that farfetched. Just look at how much he's put into them and making sure they're the villages superweapons…I mean he's pretty much put so much stock in them that it pretty much drove Naruto out from under you guys. Not that I can blame him from having his own getaway spot when he has those two being the chosen ones shoved in his face 24/7." Mizuki replied
"While I will have words with my sensei about going behind my back, and falsifying reports. What do you mean by Naruto having his own getaway spot?" Minato questioned confusedly
"Are you serious right now?...Wow, and here I thought Iruka was as dense as a bag of bricks when it came to women." Mizuki said back yet the confused but more serious look on Minato's face told him to get with it
"...Alright, well haven't you found it odd that Naruto never comes home with, or goes with those two at all? Or even says or does anything with them whatsoever? I mean it isn't that hard to figure out when he arrives at the academy much later than those two since the semester started. Combine that, with the fact that this is the happiest I've seen him since he started the academy, and it isn't too hard to come to that assumption." Mizuki added in regards to the Ultimatrix wielder
"That can't be, Kushina and I see him at our house almost everyday before he leaves for the academy." Minato countered
"That's the key word, Lord Hokage, almost. Let's face it, you and your wife are busy people. Between your leading the village, you're wife a high-ranking jonin of the village. Then that's not to mention those twin monsters you train afterwards with Lord Jiraiya…The real question is how much do you even see or spend time with Naruto, to know that." Mizuki responded as Minato went silent at those words
'Has it really been so long that I can't even remember a single time we've spent time together…Wait…when did we even eat together for dinner, or go out to anywhere for fun?' Minato wondered to himself as he wracked his brain to go through any memory possible
"Are you ok, Lord 4th?" Mizuki asked
"I'm fine, Mizuki. I am just having to think a lot of things over is all…Nothing to worry about." Minato told the silver-haired chunin
"If you say so. Still, I was just saying that maybe you should actually see what's going on with Naruto. He's a really talented kid, who I know for sure has what it takes to change the village." Mizuki said
"..I'm sure he does…Sorry, that question about Naruto caught me off guard." Minato spoke while his mind was still spiraling to find an answer
"I didn't mean to get personal with you, I was just saying that with how the twins are, that Naruto did what anyone else would in his shoes…I know I would if I were him." Mizuki apologized in not wanting to strike a nerve with the Yellow Flash
'Kid, really got shafted with those fox brats for his siblings...Good on him for getting away from them while he still could.' Mizuki said in sympathies for the young man he saw some of himself in at times
"You're fine, Mizuki. If anything, I've been having to re-evaluate the state of things in my family as of late. Besides, I can tell that what you've said did not come from a place of disrespect or spite." Minato said in having sensed no ill will in Mizuki's words
"That being said, this comes to my next question, Mizuki." Minato spoke
"What do you want to ask me about, next?" Mizuki questioned
"While I know that you are one of the more critical ones about Naoya and Hayase. I also know that you had lose quite a lot during the 9-tails attack, and I wanted to ask you about…" Minato said
"You wanted to know if I think there their 9 tails reborn or something stupid like that, or if I hate them because I think their a bootleg version of the demon fox? Or if I blame them for the death of Tsubaki." Mizuki asked back
"I wouldn't have been as blunt, but yes…that was going to be something similar to what I was going to ask." Minato answered
"If that's the case, then no. I don't think of them like that anymore." Mizuki told the Hokage
"What do you mean anymore?" Minato questioned with a scrutinizing gaze
"What I mean is that I don't anymore, since I started going to therapy after the 9 tails attacked. I needed to go to someone to air my grievances to when I lost just about everyone I cared about." Mizuki said to Minato
"And trust me when I say that it hurt in having to acknowledge the fact that everyone I cared about; from my parents, to the woman I wanted to marry one day are gone That I can never hug my parents goodbye after a mission, or go out on a date and go stargazing with Tsubaki anymore. Yet instead of knowing that the creature that took them away from me is dead, I have to look in the faces of two arrogant, self-centered brats that think they know better than everyone everyday and it hurts like hell…But at the end of it, as much as I wanted to hate them and say they were the fox reincarnate…over the years I just couldn't do it anymore because it wouldn't give me back what I lost." Mizuki explained to his Hokage
"I see…" Were the only words that Minato could say to a more sullen looking Mizuki
"Yeah…so its thanks to my going to therapy over the years that I realized; I don't like them because of what they hold. But more that…their attitude and actions are leading to a point where the students I teach are at risk of death because of how they act as people." Mizuki said to Minato
"Mizuki, while I understand your feelings on the subject. Given how sensitive the 9 tails is…don't you think you are exaggerating? While my kids are more difficult to handle than I or Kushina realized. I think that you may be blowing things out of proportion." Minato replied, yet Mizuki's demeanor only hardened
"I am not, Lord Hokage. As you, your wife, and Lord Jiraiya may have trained them to be great shinobi, and I won't argue when it comes to their strength. However, their personalities as people on top of them being raised to think that prophecy gives them a free-pass to be dicks to anyone because their meant to save the world...That shit has made them walking time-bombs to the poor saps who get shafted to be their teammates." Mizuki said back
"Because what's to stop them from getting it in their heads that they can treat their own teammates, my students, and their comrades however they wish? Since they already think of themselves as superior to everyone that they can get away with murder…After all, I'm sure you've seen their actual attitudes all too well in person." Mizuki added causing the Hokage to look down at the desk after hearing unsavory rumors from the parents of the ninja clans on Naoya and Hayase's attitudes in and out of the academy
"I have heard my fair share of rumors coming to light as of late, with winter break nearing. To be honest, some of what I've heard is rather horrible to put it lightly." Minato said in as each rumor became worse than the last
"To tell you the truth, those rumors are things I've had to put up with for years now. Things that have let me see that their unchecked ego, their growing power and their arrogance and belief that their greater than everyone; has me fearing for the lives of my students. If they cannot deal with the actual reality of the world, nor deal with when someone is better than them at something or even gets the better of them…Then beyond the strength of their seals to keep that monster at bay, can stop them from getting so pissed off that they kill a teammate, or cripple someone for life, because of that…The worst part being that who would even say anything against them, when their the children of the 4th Hokage." Mizuki replied
"Once again, I see your concerns in this…For this is something that I feel has not only slipped under my radar, but that I am at fault for allowing to get as bad as it has." Minato spoke his voice having grown heavy as the conversation continued
"Thank you, I appreciate it." Mizuki said before rising from his seat
"If it is alright with you, I'd like to leave… I believe I've done and said enough for today." Mizuki spoke
"Of course, you are free to leave…and thank you for your help." Minato said as the Chunin in question left without a moments' more of hesistation
"...I swear that every day of being Hokage is harder than the last." Minato lamented to himself as he took a deep and weary breath of exhaustion at the work still to come
(The next day, December 1st, 996 S.E, 2:48 Pm, The Academy)
It was during their break time as Ino was talking with Sakura, the latter of whom had told Ino that after today that she would no longer be attending the academy, and would be going onwards to pursue her dream as a musician.
"...I still can't believe that you're actually leaving the academy, Sakura." Ino said in disbelief at her friends' decision
"Hey, we both knew this day was gonna happen sooner or later. Besides, its not like I'm leaving forever. You can still see me around the village after classes." Sakura replied with small smile
"I know that, but it just won't feel right without you here…I mean what am I gonna do without my best friend in the world?" Ino asked still finding it surreal to no longer have Sakura in her corner
"I guess you'll have to be a great shinobi for the both of us…I know I may not be able to be a good one, but you can be an awesome one for the two of us. So while I'm gone, I want you to promise me something." Sakura spoke to the blonde Anodite
"What do you want, Sakura?" Ino asked
"I want you to promise me that when you get your headband, and make it to the Chunin Exams. That you'll blow Hayase out of the water. Because I may not be able to show her that there's someone out there, that can knock her off her high horse, but you on the other hand…I know that you can do it without a problem." Sakura requested from Ino
"Yeah, I can do that for you no problem, Sakura." Ino replied
"Great, and thanks for doing this for me…Anyways, I gotta go…band practice starts in 40 minutes and I've got a long way from here to there. So I'll see you later." Sakura said before hugging her friend goodbye
"Alright, I'll see you later, and good luck out there." Ino said back before waving off the pink-haired musician who gave her the peace sign before heading out
"You know, Ino. I don't get it, why do you bother with Sakura's good-for-nothing ass? The only thing she's gonna be good for is cleaning up dust when I'm Hokage." Said the all-too-familiar and self-important voice of Hayase that came rounding from the corner
"...What do you want, Hayase?" Ino questioned her voice going from jovial to sour in a matter of seconds
"What I don't get is why you hang around with her, when all she's good for is being a meat-shield?...Here I thought you hit a new low by being around my brother, but Sakura…that's just a new low for even you." Hayase said back with an ever-present "I'm superior to you in every way' smirk plastered on her face
"At least, Sakura isn't several levels of insufferable like you. How Naruto is related to you, I don't get." Ino retorted as she turned to face the Hokage's daughter
"Besides, why do you care about who I hang out with? The last I checked I can hang out with whoever I want…What does it matter to you that I'm with Naruto?" Ino queried
"It matters because I'm tired of you, Sasuke, and everyone giving him ideas of thinking he's better than Naoya and I. All he needs to do is stay where he is with Sakura and everyone else who doesn't deserve headband." Hayase spoke as she strutted over towards Ino
"So this is the only time I'm going to tell you, Ino. Either stop hanging around my brother or I'm going to make you." Hayase added
"You really think I'm scared of you? The only thing that's strong about you; is that you think the only reason you get away with anything. Is because your dad is the Hokage. If it weren't for that then no one would care who you are." Ino shot back, causing the a crack in the proud demeanor of Hayase to form
"Watch what you say, Ino. Especially when it would be a shame to have something happen to that pretty little face of yours." Hayase spoke as her smirk started to morph closer into a sneer
"What? You can't handle the truth that the ONLY reason anyone puts up with you. Is because Lord 4th is your father? Or is because you can't handle the fact that your own brother doesn't wanna be seen with you in public…I can't even blame him for that, because if I had to deal with a mega-bitch like you all day. Then I'd rather jump off the roof of the Academy than be stuck with you all day." Ino retorted
"How dare you, anyone would be lucky to have me as their sister. I'm going to be the greatest shinobi there ever was. Naruto should be grateful that he's related to the future 1st female Hokage!" Hayase said back puffing her chest out at the inevitably of what she'd become
"Lucky…You call having to put up with someone who has an ego as large as the Hokage Monument lucky?!...If that isn't the biggest load of bullshit I have ever heard." Ino spoke still not believing how Hayase's head was so far up her own ass
"Since there are far more people that would be a helluva lot more believable than you as Hokage. Hell, even Sakura would've made a better Hokage than you…At least her greatest claim to fame isn't being a storage bin for an overgrown plushie." Ino added as said remark caused Hayase's smirk to disappear and be replaced by an angered sneer
"Shut up, I'm a hero for keeping the 9-tails back and everyone knows it! So don't you dare reduce what I'm doing down to something that basic!" Hayase hollered furiously at Ino
"But I'm not wrong. Because at the end of the day you can talk all the hot shit you want about me, Sakura or Naruto. But the biggest difference between us and you; is that we'll actually be remembered for doing something great with our lives. Heck, Naruto's almost as smart as Shika and that's saying something with his lazy ass. Meanwhile, all you'll be remembered for is being an overgrown storage seal and not shit else!" Ino retorted once again
"So out of everyone in our class. The one who is the most ain't shit out of everyone is you. Because if your greatest claim to fame is that. Then I'm sorry, but it looks like Naruto's gonna leave you and Naoya in the dust in no time." Ino added with a derisive grin at seeing Hayase go from smug to red-faced in a handful of seconds
However, said remark about Hayase's predicament and it not only reducing her down to something so lowly was enough for her eyes to turn a bloodshine red out of anger and tackle Ino into the wall; furious that Ino would dare to demean her to that level. For the only thing she could think about as she felt hate and anger pump through her veins was the desire to break Ino's face in and make it so not even Naruto wouldn't spare her a cursory glance.
Yet as she was going to rear her fist back and make good on her promise to ruin Ino's pretty little face, she soon saw Ino who looked back at her with an unphased and even smug smirk, as well as glowing magenta-colored eyes. For with a snap of her fingers, Hayase soon found a number of glowing ethereal rose-pink scimitars aimed at her neck, liver, lungs, and kidneys; all at the ready to impale her into a bloody mess on Ino's command.
"Here's the thing Hayase. You could try to bully me like you do Naruto and even Sakura. Since I know all about how you and Naoya treat your own brother. However, it isn't my place to get back at you for that…That's Naruto's." Ino spoke
"So what you're his bodyguard now?!" Hayase questioned with her fist still raised to cave Ino's face in
"No. However, what's going to happen is that your not going to tell me who and I can't hang out with…Better yet, you aren't going to be a mega-bitch to Naruto anymore." Ino answered back
"I'll treat him however I want too, and he'll be happy if I pay him…" Hayase began to say before the scimitars leveled themselves further at her
"Careful what you say, otherwise daddy dearest won't be quick enough to stop what happens next." Ino said back
"Is that a threat, Yamanaka?" Hayase growled out her brilliant red eyes glaring at her like a cornered wolf
"No, its a promise. So I'll only say this once. Stop bothering Sakura first of all. Then second of all, don't boss me around when it comes to Naruto. Then lastly…leave him alone or else!" Ino replied as the scimitars began to crackle with ethereal flame
"Do we understand each other, or do I need to make my point even clearer?" Ino asked once more as the blades on her constructs lengthened ready to reduce Hayase to a pin-cushion
"...You got lucky this time around, Yamanaka. But there won't be a next time when I have my way about it." Hayase said shoving Ino away
"Piss off already, Hayase…Now if you don't mind I have plans with Naruto in an hour. He's going to take me to the movies and I have to get ready. So toodles." Ino said as she snapped her fingers and the scimitars disappeared in puffs of smoke
"I swear, that has got to be the most hilarious thing I've seen in ages." Yin Kurama spoke
"Shut up, 9-tails. No one asked you for your opinion!" Hayase seethed
"It isn't my fault that you being taken down a few pegs; has been the best entertainment I've had." Yin Kurama replied with a booming chortle
"Besides, it must really sting to know that not only can you not get a read on your own brother. But now someone else is taking his attention away from you. Can the blond bastards' little princess not handle being the center of attention for once? Is that it?" Yin Kurama added to an increasingly red-faced Hayase
"I said shut up already! I'll get his attention back on me again in no time, you'll see!" Hayase responded
"Keep telling yourself that…Although I should ask, when you fail to get it yet again? Should I expect another temper-tantrum, because you can't get your way again? Because if so, then this one should be the best one yet." Yin Kurama retorted

"Ooohhh, this is just delightful…Here I thought things were getting boring." Yin Kurama spoke chortling to themselves before receding back into the seal
'Goddamn smartass fox.' Hayase cursed to herself before storming off and away
(2 days later, December 3rd, 996 S.E, Naruto's House, 2:10 Pm)
It was the following Saturday as Naruto had Ami over whilst he was working on sketches for either more gadgets/armaments to soon be put to use in his factories, and or upgraded models on his Scrap Guards.
"I bet your glad that the 1st half of the year is about to be over at the academy?" Ami asked the Ultimatrix wielder
"You don't even know the half of it, Ami. I swear the quicker the rest of next year goes; the better." Naruto replied
"Honestly, once I get my headband and put on a squad with you and Sasuke. I will be the happiest man in all of Konoha…At least next to Uncle Obito when he's Juri, but that's another story entirely." Naruto added as a smile couldn't help but spread across Ami's face
"By the way, I am still surprised that Obito Uchiha of all people decided to be a jonin sensei. You would think that with someone who acts as a manchild 60 percent of the time; that he would be ill-equipped to do so." Ami replied, still finding such a thing an oddity
"Hey, the same thing could be said about Might Guy; when he screams to the heavens about the Flames of Youth. But yet and still the man is one of the greatest when it comes to taijutsu." Naruto said back
"Fair point. Nonetheless, I am curious to see how things will go for the 3 of us; once he becomes our sensei." Ami wondered over how things would go at being mentored by Obito Uchiha of all people
"If anything I'd say he'll probably do a fantastic job as our jonin sensei if we get him. The man isn't just one of our strongest jonin for nothing…Not only that, but the guy is a blast and a half to be around too. So take those two things together, and add in the amount of patience he has to deal with Juri all the time. Then you get a pretty cool sensei in my book." Naruto replied in regards to said Uchiha
"I certainly won't argue with you about that. If he can somehow get Juri-Han of all people to act halfway decently most of the time. Then that by itself should give him brownie points towards being a stellar sensei." Ami said back
Especially, since Ami for the life of her found it to be one of the greatest mysteries on how Obito Uchiha managed to essentially tame the chaotic smoke demon that was Juri-Han; who was known for being able to bully the likes of Kurenai Yuhi and Hana Inuzuka into submission.
"That's my uncle for you. That man is a master of doing the impossible!" Naruto said with pride at one of his role-models
"Undoubtedly, with the track record he's amassed…That being said, how have things gone with your aliens? Granted with our training, its rather easy to tell from their destructive output. However, I know that you know there's more than what you've shown Sasuke and I." Ami queried from the Ultimatrix wielder
"For starters, other than trying to figure out even further what I can do. I've also been trying to work on unlocking something that Sasuke and I talked about earlier." Naruto told her as he continued working on the blueprints for his updated Scrap Guards
"What's this thing you've been trying to unlock, Naruto?" Ami questioned
"Alright, well check it…Sasuke and I talked about the fact that whatever this thing is; that lets me turn into aliens, might have something to let me super-evolve them. And make them even more busted than normal…So since then I've been working on trying to find out, and see if that shits' possible." Naruto told the granddaughter of Danzo
"Is that actually a possibility for you?" Ami asked
"Have you seen the world we live in, Ami? If people can seal away giant monsters into other people, summon giant animals, and blow people up with the forces of nature. Then I'm pretty sure it isn't too farfetched that there's some function in this thing that's gonna let me evolve my transformations." Naruto responded as he looked over at the Ultimatrix
"The only problem I've had; is trying to unlock the thing if there is one...So its a work in progress at the moment." Naruto added
"It's probably locked behind some safeguards, or something of that nature. That's what I would do if I built something as advanced as that gauntlet on your arm." Ami noted
"Huh, that actually makes a lot of sense when you put it like that. Now I just have to figure out how to jailbreak the damn thing, and get my super-forms." Naruto replied
"If you get punished for doing that, then don't look at me when you get yourself hurt, Naruto." Ami said back
"I'll be fine, Ami. But more to the point, I guess I can put unlocking this things' potential evolution function on my bucket list…At the rate I'm going, I'm gonna have to put all the stuff I want to do on an itinerary list." Naruto said after remembering all of the things he still wanted/needed to do
"Look at it this way, Naruto. At least once you and Sasuke graduate, you will have all the free-time needed to pursue those things." Ami told Naruto
"I guess your right…Still doesn't make having to go to the academy any less boring." Naruto spoke, tired of having to be at the academy for so long
"...Anyways, how is doing? I haven't heard much from her since Auntie Shizune and I helped her out." Naruto wondered
"Oh…The Scorch Release user is currently finishing her recovery with Shizune…Her body had been run ragged, and in combination with the numerous injuries she sustained while she was on the run. It is a miracle she lived long enough for us to help her." Ami replied still impressed by the reserves of willpower Pakura had to keep going after what she endured
"I'll say this much about her. She is one tough cookie to keep going after all that…Makes me glad that once she's all good to go; that we're gonna have another powerhouse under out belt." Naruto said back
"I will agree with you on that. It's honestly a shame that the Hidden Sand would waste someone of her caliber…I honestly wish I could see the Kazekage's face when he realizes that his assassination attempt was for nothing." Ami spoke with a chuckle at how pentultimately Rasa's attempts were for naught
"Yeah, the guy is a giant idiot for screwing up with her. I mean how're you gonna waste your village's hero, because your super butthurt about not being able to keep morale going in your own village…Like what the FUCK man?! That's just a waste of good resources right there." Naruto remarked on the overall blunder that was the 4th Kazekage's rationale for screwing over Pakura
"Considering that this is the same man; who thinks traumatizing his own daughter to make her a perfect weapon is a good idea. I doubt that he is much in the way of making good decisions." Ami replied
"...J-Just what the hell is wrong with him?! Does he not know that fucking up your own jinchuuriki is just gonna make it worse? Like why…on any level would you fuck up something to where their gonna be a ticking time bomb. A psychopathic killing machine, or just have depression on steroids, or better yet all 3. It doesn't make any sense!" Naruto said back in finding more and more of this mans' decisions as complete garbage
"You would be surprised by the amount of stupid that goes on in the world, Naruto." Was Ami's only reply to the shapeshifter
"And yet my folks, Pervy-Sage and the twin idiots are bending over backwards to bring world peace…for this?! Honestly, I'd say fuck it and keep to making sure that the village, and all of us are in one piece. Because fuck saving that shit." Naruto said exasperated at how one man who be such a jackass
"My grandfather and I agree with that sentiment wholeheartedly. We are to protect Konoha, and anything that threatens it and its allies. Other than that, the rest of the world can go fuck itself for all I care." Ami responded in agreement with Naruto's sentiments
"Regardless of whatever may come. At least we have you and whatever crazy inventions you come with." Ami added as Naruto continued his sketches
"Thanks, because next year I've got some fun shit I wanna start putting out…I just gotta figure out the mechanics on how to make flying machines possible. Once that happens, then we can bomb the shit out of just about anybody who gets in our way." Naruto said with a mad smile curving across his face
"Do you take suggestions or ideas? Because if your going to build deadly flying machines, then I want in on it." Ami said as she rushed over to the table where Naruto was at
"Sure, I don't see why not. But would you mind going into the fridge and grabbing some cranberry juice, some mugs, and some brownies?...If we're gonna do this, I'd like some snacks to help pass the time." Naruto requested
"Sure, I'll be right on it...I might as well get snacks while your being a mad-scientist." Ami replied as she headed over to the kitchen
"Why does everyone keep calling me a mad scientist? Its not my fault that I wanna make awesome war-machines and see them beat the shit out of people." Naruto said to himself before going over to the table in question
'Now if I do this, I wonder how big I'm gonna have to make the bomber-type airships in order to really fuck up village.' Naruto wondered to himself, as he went over to another sketchbook and notepad and began to write up designs for such a thing
So with some of what goes on in the academy being put on display, and what can come from it. The next question is what further shenanigans will come to pass, as our heroes soon enter into a new year? Well, you'll just have to find out in the new chapters of, The Alien Soldier!
Alien Unlocked for Ultilization: Tetramand A.K.A Juggernaut
Alright, you guys that takes care of that as I hope that you enjoyed this chapter and everything that went into it, since this was a bit of a doozy to right and figure out. But overall, I'm glad with how it came out. Furthermore, apologies for the wait on the chapter as I've been dealing with writers' block and burnout overall, but I'm back in it and feeling better than ever, so hopefully I will be updating more often from hereon. Also, I've put out another Ben 10 crossover story as of late, this time with Danny Phantom called Amity Park: Alien Force if you guys wanna check it out after this!
However with all of that out of the way, I hope you guys will continue to enjoy the rest of what's to come in the story, also any favorites, follows, reviews or suggestions are welcome. As per usual flames are ignored since if ya don't like then go on and read/support someone else's story that's more your speed.
Now with that being said, this is Nomadic Chaos using the power of said chaos to give you guys pretty alright stories to read. So for next time, we're going to have a small time skip so stay tuned for what that's gonna bring about.

Now then onto some of the reviews from the previous chapter.
Kourtney Uzu Yato: Yeah, Kurenai is an alcoholic in the story which is gonna be fun to see how that turns out when we get into things with her team...Also, yeah Mikoto was a BEAST back in the day since there's a reason why her and Fugaku were one of the O.G power couples during the war along with Minato and Kushina. Plus, with Itachi as you can see the man has yet to stop his fuckery in his zealousness to the village, and its only gonna spiral out from here.
Moonwatcher425: To be honest, I'm all here for that idea with Wave Country given that it would be a pretty neat take on whole Wave Arc overall and actually make things a bit more intense going forward. That being said I'm not really all that enthused on the whole Uzuhsiogakure thing, given that everytime it comes up in stories in tandem with the Uzumaki clan it gets used for a Deus Ex Machina and I really want to avoid that as much as possible so the chances of them going to Uzushio will be very low since that will open up a can of worms that'd made Uzushiogakure overall become a logistical nightmare to explain. And with Tora I'll keep that as maybe down the line, and for Shisui and Obito I already have something planned for them down the line so stay tuned to see what comes of them down the line.
Starravenwolf:Yeah, as unfortunately Yakumo is one of those unfortunate things that made her more risk than reward given that there was no guarantee that the damage done by her ID and Kurenai's mishaps would've been completely reversible, as messing with the human mind that's been messed with to the point she's developed what I can assume is D.I.D, and that her powers had to be actively contained otherwise it would've been a can of worms to where if Danzo didn't call for it then Minato would've out of village security...Then its unfortuately a case of nothing personal, but it is what it is. On the subject of the 1st alien to show up on Naruto's world, I have that planned out but I do plan on it being a surprise given that its someone that's already has there hands in things and will actually effect the Wave Arc to an extent as a heads up. Plus with Itachi, trust me his idiocy hasn't stopped here given that its only gonna get worse from here on out with his choosing duty over his family and clan.
