(Chapter 17: Graduation Here we Come!)
It would be the month of May, and was the month of which the current rookies would be graduating and soon earn their chance to become genin; something that Naruto, Sasuke and even Ino were all too ready for. Given that it meant that they could finally go onto making their way in the world as real-deal genin, wherein Naruto even more thankful for the fact that due to the 'changes' having gone on in his body; Danzo had thankfully vouched for him to be exempt from doing the academy 3 test.
(The Academy, May 19th, 997 S.E, 2:53 Pm)
It would be the final taijutsu match of the semester as everyone had after doing their 3 academy jutsu were gathered outside to see Naoya against Naruto; both of whom were ready and set to fight against one another, as both Iruka and Mizuki were ready to intercept should Naoya try anything.
"Alright, the final bout of the semester between Naruto Uzumaki and Naoya Namikaze will now begin!" Mizuki announced as both brothers got into fighting stances of their own
"Get ready too…" Naoya spoke
Only for Naruto to come forward with a gazelle punch to the younger of the triplets' mouth that caught him off guard from his older twin being the aggressor, as he kept his momentum with a hook-jab-hook combination to the jinchuuriki's ribs. Naoya tried to get distance away from the Ultiamtrix wielder to be able to best utilize his father's fighting style, yet Naruto's constant bludgeoning with hooks and jabs to the body, and cutting off his any attempt to do so as the heavier-set Uzumaki forced Naoya to fight him at close range.
All of which frustrated the jinchuuriki in question, given that as he was forced to fight in the pocket he couldn't bring the full force of it into action, for any of the high-speed combinations associated with it were hampered as he couldn't get enough momentum or distance going to use said techniques. Meanwhile, Naruto was right at home in being able to fire off his punches and elbows with a seemingly mechanized yet vicious efficiency; especially due to the fact that thanks to his physical strength having shot through the roof thanks to his altered biology, his blows sounded off against Naoya like cannon-shots.
Evident when Naoya tried to disengage from Naruto's battering-ram-like punches by trying to sidestep and dash away to set himself up to punish Naruto with a barrage of kicks and punches, yet Naruto stopped it from coming to pass by leaping forward with a left hook to the jaw that nearly bowled over the jinchuuriki. Before meeting blocking his brother's uppercut to the ribs with a shoulder roll, and using it as an opportunity to go into a southpaw stance and unleash a thudding right hook that bloodied the aggravated jinchuuriki's face; while Naruto soon leapt upon him and began to grapple with and lean on Naoya who was forced into a clinch.
Meanwhile, Mizuki and Iruka alongside the rest of the class were looking on at Naruto pretty much bullying Naoya who was now locked into a clinch with the larger blonde, and was being punished with underhooks and uppercuts to his stomach. The former of the two Chunins watched with dark satisfaction in seeing one of his favorite students lay into one of the fox brats as they deserved, as he felt it was a shame that he didn't bring snacks for the event considering that it was truely a spectacle.
"I have to give Naruto credit, he's come a long way to do this to Lord 4th's kid. Especially in taijutsu range of all things." Mizuki remarked as he saw Naruto continue to wrestle and punish Naoya with short uppercuts in the clinch
"He definitely has, Mizuki. Then again, Naruto is one of the hardest workers in our class. It's only fair that he'd progress to a point where he fight against Naoya like this." Iruka said in agreement
'It also doesn't hurt that alongside Lady Tsunade's husband and Obito; alongside some of the operatives in Root have taken time to help him perfect his fighting style.' Iruka noted to himself as Naruto continued to more or less walk down Naoya with a relentless pressure comprised of hooks, uppercuts and teep kicks
"So how well do you think this is gonna go?" Mizuki asked the scarred Chunin
"I'd say that unless Naoya can get out of Naruto's range, that Naruto takes it by a mile." Iruka replied whilst Naruto continued to roughhouse with Naoya and punish him with uppercuts to the gut
"I hope so because I put money on him to beat his ass into next week." Mizuki said back
"You bet on our students to win?...Mizuki, of all the things too.." Iruka began to say
"If you shut the fuck up, I'll split it 60/40 with you." Mizuki told Iruka who paused for a few brief moments to consider
"Deal." Was Iruka's only response
Meanwhile, Naoya who was frustrated that Naruto's greater strength and larger frame allowed him to wrestle with and keep Naoya in a vice-like clinch where his stomach was used as a heavy bag for uppercuts and hooks from his brother. With every attempt at escaping his grasp being met with Naruto landing a knee into his liver or kidneys, and every attempt to try and attack with a punch of his own being smothered by Naruto using a counter-right hand to deflect it, or a headbutt, and even a rabbit punch to the back of his skull to stagger him.
Naruto was making sure that if Naoya wanted a fight with him, then he'd make it a dirty slugging match at any chance he'd get, since even when Naoya managed to shove Naruto off him and get out of the clinch; trying to set himself up and get together to attack with his own taijutsu. The Ultimatrix wielder was quick to use a Superman punch that while blocked by Naoya was enough for him to once again, get into short-range and once more begin to force Naoya onto the backfoot with a dogmatic amount of pressure that aggravated the jinchuuriki to no end.
The blonde shapeshifter used everything from elbows, uppercuts, hooks, and headbutts to rip into Naoya who in addition to his face and chest being rather bruised to the point his face began to bleed, the jinchuuriki face reddened more and more from being put on the backfoot by his 'not worth horse-shit' brother. For every body shot, uppercut to the jaw and rabbit punch to his skull angered him further and further that after Naruto landed a short left hand to the ribs that made him grind his teeth in frustration, did he decide to say screw it and draw upon the 9 tails chakra to teach him a lesson.
However, before he could fully draw upon its power; Naruto headbutted him so hard that he felt his skull crack and his forehead began to bleed as he staggered back clutching his bloodied face as Naruto then leaped upon him like a tiger on PCP and tackled him to the ground. From there Naruto pinned his brothers' shoulder with his left knee and began to rain down haymakers and elbows, with a relentlessness that had his brothers' face become further reddened and bloodied from the attacks that opened up more and more cuts on his face.
With a particularly hard punch to Naoya's face being enough that he roared and summoned up enough of his beasts' chakra and used it to throw Naruto off of him at long last after nearly a minute of being ground'n pounded on. However, Naruto was quick upon touching the ground to launch himself at Naoya and tackle him with such strength that the ground cracked under the force of it, and the two were left tumbling and rolling across the ground until Naruto was on top of his brother in a rear-naked choke.
Yet, Naruto was quick to stand himself and a struggling Naoya whom he was using the majority of his strength to restrain and use a modified powerbomb to slam them into the ground; with the jinchuuriki taking the brunt of it as the Ultimatrix wielder was able to quickly roll onto and mount himself atop Naoya who thrashed about like a raging grizzly. All too secure after getting clawed and kicked at an airtight Brabo choke that he was using a great deal of strength to put onto Naoya who despite being empowered by the 9 tails couldn't escape the awkward angle that Naruto held the hold in.
"Tap out, Naoya! Either that, or you get choked out like a bitch in front of everybody." Naruto ordered from a thrashing Naoya
"Never! I won't tap to you, fucking cunt!" Naoya hollered as he tried to escape as Naruto still held on
"I'm warning you, tap or wake up getting choked out by your ain't shit brother." Naruto said back as he tightened the hold on Naoya who let out a pained gasp
"F-Fuck you." Naoya gritted out as he tried to get out of the choke
However, with a sigh Naruto in seeing the look of defiance on his brother as they struggled on the ground knew there was only one way this would go, and as such used every ounce of strength he could muster to tighten the hold…Hence why within seconds Naoya despite his thrashing and trying to squirm out of the submission hold found his struggling attempts to become more and more labored as his breathing became an arduous task as the blood to his head became far lesser as every second inched onwards.
The class soon watched as Naoya's face went from a brilliant red, to a deep purple as he tried furiously and rather impotently to escape the hold as they saw Naruto's veins pop out in relief as he used everything he had to keep the submission hold strong…Something that went on for 4 minutes before Naoya's thrashing soon ended as his eyes eventually rolled into the back of his head as he found himself go unconscious from being deprived of so much precious oxygen and blood to his brain.
A heavily breathing Naruto then rolled off of his unconscious twin brother whom Iruka quickly took to the infirmary with Hayase assisting as Mizuki, Ino and Sasuke came to congratulate the shapeshifter for a well-done and well-fought fight against the jinchuuriki. Hence why as Naruto eventually left after class was dismissed as Naruto was declared the clear victor of the bout and no doubt passed the last bit of things; that only one thought was on his mind.
'Holy fucking shit, I can't believe I pulled that off! Looks like all that training I've been doing has really paid off.' Naruto remarked surprised at being able to pull off the win against Naoya while partially slumping onto his side after doing so
(1 week later, May 27th, 997 S.E, Hokage Tower, 2:10 Pm)
Soon enough it would be near the end of the month, as Obito, Kakashi, Asuma and even Kurenai were there to choose their genin squads out of the Rookies…However, the odd thing to all of this was that in a rare appearance, Danzo was there to voice his opinions given the state of things with this batch of genin.
"Let us begin going with Asuma first. Who do you want for your genin squad?" Minato questioned
"I would like to take Ino Yamanaka, Choji Akimichi, and Shikamaru Nara. I wish to put forth the next Ino-Shika-Cho formation, Lord 4th." Asuma spoke as to whom he wished to have as his genin
"I see no reason why you shouldn't be allowed to take them on as your charges. However, I suggest that you be cautious of Ino…From what I've heard from Inoichi, she doesn't particularly think too highly of Shikamaru as an understatement. So be very careful." Minato replied although from what he could tell things could get volatile if not handled carefully
"I'm sure I can get them to work with each other. How bad could it be?" Asuma said back confident he could get them to work alongside each other
"From the look of things, Asuma. That may be easier said than done." Minato spoke before turning toward Kurenai
"Now then, Kurenai. Who will you be selecting for your genin squad?" Minato asked the red-eyed illusionist
"I would like to take on Shino Aburame, Kiba Inuzuka, and Hinata Hyuga as part of Team 8. I believe that their combined abilities would make for a great tracking team." Kurenai answered
"Interesting choices…Danzo would you care to weigh in on this?" Minato replied before his attention shifted over toward the warhawk
"I would…While, Kurenai's skills are no doubt considerable. I would advise that the progress of her genin be regularly monitored. Given her failings with her previous apprentice in Yakumo Kurama. Something we are all aware has turned out for the worst." Danzo spoke causing Kurenai to unconsciously flinch at the reminder of her former student
"Combining this with her drinking habits as her peers have spread word about across the village. I would motion that for the next 6 months; a jonin of your choice regularly keep track of the training and skill progression of her charges. Should she fail to bring them to par with what is deemed 'adequate' for a genin cell by that point. Then I would further motion that she would be replaced by a more appropriate jonin." Danzo further spoke causing Kurenai to look down shamefully at the menton of her no doubt infamous alcohol problem
"That is a rather good idea. After all, I think that no one here would want a repeat of what had happened with poor Yakumo. Which reminds me…Kurenai, should you feel the need to use seals on any of your students for whatever reason crosses your mind. You are to report to my wife, Jiraiya-sensei or Lyoto Senju for guidance on the issue. Any failure to do so, and you will not only be suspended for the next 4 months, but I will also consider your demotion to Chunin as well." Minato said to the red-eyed illusionist
"Have I made myself clear, Jonin? Because I will not have another incident like that happen again in my village…Especially when it cost the lives of over several Anbu and Jonin, and hospitalized nearly 2 dozen in the process of the issue being handled." Minato added with enough steel in his voice that it made the jonin in the room flinch as though struck by their parents belt
"Y-Yes, Lord 4th. I understand completely." Kurenai said with a nervous gulp at the thought of being stripped of rank
"Good…Expect to have a jonin supervising your training sessions within the next 2 weeks. As your progress will be monitored heavily to make sure you are doing as instructed." Minato replied before turning toward Obito and Kakashi
"Now then, as for you two. I have spoken with Danzo who after many hours of deliberation. Have chosen who will be on your genin squads for you. Given the nature of who is remaining, and the fact that we have genin in the reserves who should prove more than talented to be on a squad." Minato told both of his students who looked puzzled at this
"Obito, your squad will have Ami Shimura, Sasuke Uchiha and Naruto Uzumaki as your charges. Kakashi you will have Naoya and Hayase Namikaze and Sai as your genin charges…Furthermore, given the status of Naoya and Hayase; my wife will be assisting you to help with control of their tailed beasts." Minato said to them
"Wait a minute, I get Naruto and Sasuke on my squad?" Obito asked in surprise
"Yes that is correct. Is there a problem with this?" Minato asked back to an elated looking Obito
"Not at all…if you could excuse me for a few moments." Obito requested before Minato nodded
From there Obito briefly exited the Hokage's office before the obnoxiously loud shouts of YEEEAAAHHH! were heard from Obito who was jumping for joy and doing backflips at getting his dream team to be a sensei too; which continued for nearly 2 minutes before he came back.
"Sorry about that, Minato-sensei. I'm just really excited to be a jonin-sensei is all." Obito said with a bashful smile
"That is more than understandable, Obito. I remember when I became a jonin-sensei for the first time." Minato said with a small chuckle at his former students' excitement
"Thanks for understanding, Minato-sensei. I can't wait to show you what I can do!" Obito replied still in jubilation of obtaining one of his life-goals at long last
"We get it your ecstatic about being a sensei. No need to make us go deaf because of it." Was Kakashi response to Obito's excitement
"Can it ya smarmy dickhead, how about you go back to reading your smut, and I'll be going at it as one of the best sensei's the Hidden Leaf has ever seen." Obito retorted
"I highly doubt it, Obito. You may be many things, but a great sensei is not one of them." Kakashi said back as Obito wanted to say something smart back, but decided it'd be better to wait till the Chunin Exams so he could let his teachings speak for themselves
"Now then, unless there is anything to say concerning your genin. Then you are all dismissed for the day…Furthermore, I expect reports on the status on the capabilities and capacities of your teams within the following week." Minato told the jonin in question as they nodded before leaving
"Well done, Minato. You made the right decision." Danzo spoke
"After the points that not only you, but Inoichi, Tsunade, Dan, Iruka, Mizuki, and nearly every Uchiha had made on behalf of why Naruto should not be with Naoya and Hayase. I had no other reason, but to listen to your suggestions." Minato replied
After all, for as much as he wanted all of his children to be on a genin squad as he and Kushina had hoped for ages…even he couldn't refute the irredeemable truth that it would be a highly dysfunctional and toxic genin squad with the evidence brought to him by all parties involved. Especially, when they went their explanations for doing so nearly totaled a full 100 hours after listening that ranged from sensible to highly personal in their reasoning that had the 4th Hokage taken aback in hearing how bad of a mistake he nearly made with his eldest.
"I will say that I am very glad that you listened to reason. Otherwise, I sincerely doubt that Naruto would've forgiven you for your actions…In fact, I believe that he'd rather give up on being a shinobi altogether than be on a team with them." Danzo said to the blonde Hokage
"Is it truly that serious, Danzo?" Minato questioned
"Trust me when I say, that that is a conversation for you and the boy to have alone. Moreso, when it is one that is long since overdue." Danzo answered back knowing that said conversation had to be had at sooner rather than later
"...You are correct about that. The only question is how do I approach it, given that he isn't particularly fond of me." Minato said having a rather good understanding that his son didn't care for him on a personal level
"The only advice I can give you on that front, is not to force the issue. The very moment that you force the subject onto him, it will not end well in your favor, and that is putting it lightly." Danzo advised to the Yellow Flash beside him
"More or less hope for the best then?" Minato asked
"Indeed…Now then is there anything else that you need my advice for?" Danzo asked back
"No. For now, I hope that everything goes well with our genin squads…" Minato spoke
"I'm sure they will, Minato. This years' genin are certainly a prodigious bunch if I've ever seen one, and this is when you consider the likes of Hiruzen's squad and your very own." Danzo replied causing a small smile to form on Minato's face
"Yeah…how could I forget those days…They were definitely simpler ones." Minato said back in wishing he could go back to the times when things weren't so complicated
"But, as much as I would love to reminisce about the glory days. There is still work to be done, and more importantly a talk with Jiraiya-sensei to be had." Minato added knowing he and his sensei had to have a long overdue talk
"Of course, and if there is nothing else to be said. I will leave you to your work." Danzo said before he eventuall left to leave Minato by his lonesome
'Now I can only hope that things improve now that my children are genin.' Minato said to himself as he looked over the paperwork before him
(Ichiraku Ramen, 1:45 Pm, 2 days later, May 29th, 997 S.E)
Meanwhile, it would be a few days later as Obito had eventually gathered his genin squad consisting of Ami, Naruto and Sasuke from the academy and had taken them out to Ichiraku to better know his charges.
"Alright, so who wants to go and say what they're all about first?" Obito asked the trio beside him
"I'll take a whack at this." Ami piped up as she ate her bowl of chicken and pork ramen
"I'm Ami Shimura, I'm 18 years old, My likes are my grandpa, training, working on jutsu and my taijutsu., and the village overall. The only things I really dislike are slackers, people who think they know better than everyone, and people who have no idea what their doing. Then my end-goal is to one day take over for Grandpa Danzo, and lead Root." Ami told the scared Uchiha
"You really wanna take over Root, one of these days? That's a prrreeetty tall order there…Do you really think you can pull something like that that off?" Obito asked the warhawks' granddaughter
"I don't see how I could fail at doing so. I've been raised in it for as long as I could remember. Plus I know just about everything there is about it; from grandpa. So I really don't see how I could fail at running it when I get my chance." Ami answered back without a single shred of doubt in her voice
"She's not wrong, Uncle Obito. You can say what you want, but she's definitely something' else…Because I'm telling you right now, she's a league and half above most everyone in our class." Naruto said
"Is that right?! Well, I'll keep that in mind for when I do our test next week." Obito said with a devious smile spreading across his face
"What's the test about?" Naruto questioned
"Well, I already know that you guys can get along and probably work well enough as a team together. But I want to see just how good the three of you are in a scrap…So around next Monday or Tuesday give or take, we're gonna take a small trip outside the village so I can see exactly how well you three do against someone in an all-out-fight." Obito told his genin
"Not to sound full of ourselves, but are you sure you want us to go all out against you?...Seeing as how you may get hurt rather badly if we do." Sasuke asked getting a laugh from the elder Uchiha
"Trust me, Sasuke. I'm an 150% sure that I can handle anything that the 3 of you can throw at me…I mean out of Minato-sensei's students, I'm the strongest one there is!" Obito boasted
"Are you certain about that? Because, I've got something I can do that can even the odds; that I wanna show you since your our sensei." Naruto replied
"Wait a minute, you actually have something that can go head to head with me?...Now this I gotta see!" Obito spoke back keen to see what his godson had up his sleeve
"Trust me, its something else for sure…I guarantee it." Naruto said whilst giving Sasuke and Ami a 'it's time to tell him' look
"Alright, then how about after we finish eating, and you telling everybody what all of you are about. That we head over to Senju Park so you show me." Obito suggested
"That's fine by me. Just be prepared to get weirded out Unc." Naruto replied before he finished up his bowl of miso pork ramen
"As for me, you guys already know that I'm Naruto Uzumaki. I am 17 years old, what I like to do is spar with my friends, hang out with the Uchiha's, my cousin Masako, and Grandpa and Granny, and the Uchiha, build cool stuff, and go to the movies when I get a chance. What I don't like are prophecies, people who think their shit but ain't shit, and toads…man those things are gross….Then what I'm hoping to do for my endgame is just help the village improve, and make it the best thing it ever was." Naruto spoke onto what he was all about
"Huh, I figured you would've wanted to be Hokage like your dad...Since that's one of the biggest things to go for in the village." Obito said surprised that Naruto didn't want to follow in Minato's footsteps
"Hey, that's fine and all. But that's personally not my style. Because, I've seen how boring it is, and being in meetings and doing paperwork all day isn't my thing. Besides, I could be doing a lot of other cool stuff around the village that's better than all of that." Naruto replied in not really having all that much interest in the Hokage position
"Hey, that's a fair point, and I can't say I really blame you…That job might sound cool on paper, but with how many gray hairs it's giving Minato-sensei; I wouldn't take it up anytime soon either." Obito spoke in not faulting Naruto for being uninterested in the position
'Although, that hat and those robes do look dope though…Oh, I could see it now, Obito Uchiha the 5th Hokage!' Obito said to himself as he envisioned himself in said attire
"Is our sensei good, he looks like he's high?"Ami asked as he watched a dreamy-faced Uchiha
"Yeah, he's fine…Just give me one moment." Sasuke said as he smacked both sides of Obito's face
"Wait….what's going on?!" Obito queried, startled by the sudden sharp stinging on his cheeks
"You were daydreaming again." Sasuke told the elder Uchiha
"Sorry, about that…Heheheh, I just couldn't help but think about getting the Hokage's hat one day, and rubbing it in Itachi's face." Obito semi-sheepishly replied
"If you wind up becoming Hokage before Itachi, then I will honest to God laugh until I'm blue in the face." Sasuke spoke with a snide smirk at the thought of his brothers' face at getting picked over for Obito
"I am pretty sure, that even with your brother being one of the most calm and taciturn in Anbu. That even he would lose his shit, if he got passed over for candidacy…Especially with how much stock I've heard he's put into it." Ami said having heard all too well on how much Itachi was deadset towards working himself into an early grave to become Hokage
"I'd rather let Lady Tsunade's daughter become Hokage than him…At least with her at the helm, we wouldn't deal with someone who has the emotional capacity of cardboard to lead the village." Was Sasuke's scathing reply
"Ooooh, that's a pretty good burn there, Sasuke." Obito said chuckling at the insult
"Uncle Obito, I've seen brick walls show more emotion and care than him…If anything, I'm certain that him getting denied Hokage will be the first time he shows anything other than being a placid robot all day." Sasuke responded getting a growing smile from his nephew
"Alright, alright…as much as I'd love to dunk on Itachi all day. I do wanna see what Naruto's surprise is, so let's keep the train going." Obito said to the younger of the two Uchiha
"Very well. I am Sasuke Uchiha, and I am 17 years old. My likes are training, improving my kenjutsu, spending time with my clan, and taking walks. My dislikes are people who go against the clan, my brother, and lastly Naoya and Hayase Uzumaki…My goal for the future is to become a great clan head to the Uchiha, and help them to prosper in the near future." Sasuke replied
"If you are anything like your old man, I'm sure that your gonna knock it out of the park when you take over the clan." Obito said with complete confidence in his nephew
"I hope so, father isn't getting any younger…Not to mention that someone has too since Itachi would bring us to ruin, and Mamoru is far too young to even think about putting him in a position." Sasuke replied hopeful that he could do the position justice
"Trust me, Sasuke. You'll be able to get it done, and then some. So buck up, because your gonna be something great one of these days." Obito said back as he ruffled Sasuke's hair
"Thank you, for the belief in me…However, I could do without you messing up my hair." Sasuke said as he straightened his hair back to its normal style
"You're welcome, and make me." Obito replied
"I don't have the energy to do that, and I already have to stop Naruto from being a world-class menace to the village." Sasuke spoke as he looked over to the blonde shapeshifter
"He's not wrong ya know." Naruto replied
"Well, unless anyone has anything to say. I can take us to Senju Park for Naruto to show me what he's got." Obito said ready to go
"Just give, Sasuke and I a few more minutes to finish eating. Unlike the two of you we do not have bottomless pits for stomachs." Ami said as she continued to eat from her bowl of shrimp and beef ramen
"Fair enough." Obito replied
So after several minutes, Obito and his charges eventually left the ramen stand and traveled to Senju Park for said Ultimatrix wielder to show him what it was that could put him on even keel with the Uchiha in question…Hence why he was surprised to see Naruto use the strange gauntlet on his arm to transform into Doomfire; which understandably had Obito nearly jump out of his pants at seeing his godson nearly turn into what he could only describe as a fire demon.
"You good, Uncle Obito?" Doomfire asked
"Y-Yeah, I'm fine…Just…processing the fact that you can turn into a flame monster." Obito spoke still adjusting to the site in front of them
"By the way, I can turn into almost 20 other forms by the way…Give or take a few." Doomfire replied as he started juggling tennis-ball sized fireballs
"I'm sorry, you can turn into how many more of those?!" Obito wondered
"Yeah, I've got almost 20 of these guys I can turn into…Its honestly pretty cool." Doomfire said as he launched to small assortment of fireballs into the air to create a brilliant fireworks display of royal blue and sapphire
"...I…I'm not complaining about any of it, it's just shocking is all." Obito said as he watched the fireworks above him
"That also brings me to a question that I gotta ask…Does anyone else know about you being able to turn into these things?" Obito asked as Naruto soon turned to his human form
"Other than you, Sasuke, Ami, Lord Danzo, Iruka-sensei, and Auntie Shizune. Then no one else knows about what I can do with my aliens, and I'd prefer to keep it a secret until I'm ready to show this stuff off to the world." Naruto informed the scarred Uchiha
"Besides, I'd rather not have my folks knowing that I can do this stuff either…or at least until I'm really good with it all. Because, I'd rather not have them breathing down my neck about it being too dangerous, and them trying to take it from me 'for my own good' or some crap like that." Naruto added in having his worries and fears be rooted in the fact that his parents would try such a thing
"Yeah, I don't blame you for not telling them…With how dense they've been with following Lord Jiraiya on that prophecy stuff, and letting Naoya and Hayase get away with shit. I will not hold it against you; for keeping your mouth shut." Obito responded
"So I take it I can have your word that you'll keep this a secret?" Naruto asked
"Don't sweat it, Naruto, your secret is safe with me. I ain't a snitch-bitch." Obito answered back with a grin of his own
"Good. Now then, that being said could you teleport us back to the village? Because I'm really not in the mood to sneak us back to my place." Naruto requested
"Sure, just grab on…Just hold tight its gonna be a little before I make the jump back." Obito spoke as everyone gathered around him
"By the way, Naruto. How would you have even accomplished getting us back into the village without anyone noticing?" Ami inquired
"I would've used Phantasma to phase us through the walls, and wait until we made it to my place to transform back." Naruto answered back
"I don't know how you would have flown us all back on that horror show. But then again, doing the impossible is your forte." Ami replied whilst cringing at the thought of seeing said transformation again
"Of course it is, this is me we're talking about…Beating the odds is my specialty." Naruto said before they were teleported away in the distortions of the Kamui
(Several Hours later, Northern Andromeda Galaxy, Galvan Prime, 11:24 Pm)
Meanwhile, Azmuth who had been busy working on more of his projects was visited upon by his assistant Albedo who had been keeping surveillance on the wielder of their Ultimatrix.
"So I take it that things are going well with the wielder of the Ultimatrix, if you've decided to bother me?" Azmuth asked as Albedo came in on a hoverpad
"It has been going splendidly if you wanted to really know, without the attitude. Was what your working on 'that' important?" Albedo snidely answered back
"Yes it was. Making hyperdrives that can exceed the speed of light without imploding isn't something to take lightly. One miscalculation by even the hundred-thousandth and were looking at starships being shredded by who knows how many tachyons." Azmuth replied
"Are you sure that you can make the configurations for that work? Faster than light travel for what you've been trying to propose isn't anything easy." Albedo spoke knowing that his mentor/colleague had tried to make going at such speeds a reality
"Albedo, I am one of the greatest; if not the greatest mind to exist in over several star systems. Its just a mere matter of days if not a week before I have it figured out." Azmuth said back with a level of pride in his voice that made Albedo roll his eyes in annoyance
'More like one of the biggest egos to ever exist in over several star systems.' Albedo said as he floated over toward Azmuth on his hoverpad
"Nevertheless, how has the Ultimatrix faired so far? I gotta know if whoever's attached to it hasn't gotten into Master Control yet…Now that would be a laugh or two, to see them lose it with over a thousand aliens at their disposal." Azmuth replied
"Don't get too ahead of yourself, Azmuth. I installed a number of safeguards to prevent tampering of that kind from happening. The last thing that planet needs is someone who can turn into a To'Kustar or even a Spacialsapien or Kryptonian because they tinkered with our creation...Even moreso if they messed with it and managed to unlock the Prypiatospian-A species, then that by itself would be a nightmare to deal with." Albedo said back silently shuddering at the amount of bedlam that could happen with one of those transformations
"That being said, the wielder of it has so far shown a surprising amount of combative and practical use for the applications within it." Albedo told the elder Galvan
"Have they, and how old are they?" Azmuth questioned
"17 and a half standard years to be accurate. After all, the data recordings the Ultimatrix has registered speak for themselves." Albedo answered back as he summoned forth multiple holo-viewers
From there as Albedo had the holo-viewers expand to the size of plasma-screen tv's were the multiple ongoing imagery of Naruto's missions, including ones on places in what were recorded as Grass Country, Stone Country, Waterfall Country and even Earth Country. All of these had showings of Naruto sometimes by himself and at time accompanied by a black-haired individual or a masked individual; all of which had a common theme of Naruto using his transformations to devastating effect; which started rather rough but by the time they finished to the most recent of 2 weeks prior showed the wielder of their creation wielding it with lethal efficiency.
"So as you can see, Azmuth. Despite having unlocked relatively few transformations, he has managed to utilize them rather effectively…Then again, given his homes' culture for raising child soldiers; it is to be expected." Albedo said as the recordings finished playing
"Hmmm, and has he unlocked the Evolutionary Fucntion yet?" Azmuth questioned
"Currently, he hasn't. Although, it has not been for a lack of trying." Albedo answered back
"Really, and how many attempts has he made?" Azmuth further questioned
"So far 98 attempts have been made at doing so. Honestly, at the rate he's going I say that by attempt 270 or attempt 345 he will more than like unlock it...The kid is definitely more intelligent than what I would give a normal Terran." Albedo replied
"Almost a hundred attempts and barely a year into wielding it. Hmph, I have to give this kid credit; he's definitely persistent." Azmuth said in respect of the blondes' determination
"Reminds me of myself when I was a millennia or two younger…takes me back." Azmuth further spoke in memory of his younger days
"Yes, and during those times you were much more reckless…Especially, with the incident that caused the Anur System to be as it is now." Albedo reminded the hyper-intelligent Galvan
"In my defense they wanted a rush-job done to fix their orbital problem…At least it stopped Anur Transyl from smashing into any more planets. Otherwise, Anur Khufos would've lost more than just a mere third of their planetary mass." Azmuth responded in defense of his miscalculations at the time
"Fair enough, but remember that the death toll from that was in the billions if not the 10's of billions alone…Which is why I am grateful you've leveled out, as it were." Albedo said, glad that Azmuth's eccentricities and recklessness eventually leveled out after a few centuries
"That being said, once the Ultimatrix wielder unclocks the Evolutionary Function. How do you wish to proceed?" Albedo questioned
"Give it 6 to 9 months after he unlocks it. After that, I say we pay him a visit…Because, after seeing what he's been able to do with it barely after a years' worth of knowing what to actually do with it. Then I have to see this kid for myself." Azmuth replied
"It has been a while since we've visited Terra." Albedo said
"Considering the mess that Ootsutsuki girl and her descendants made it, I say its for good reason that we didn't…I swear that family of parasites are nothing but trouble. Its why I'm glad we convinced the Najians, Spacialsapiens, Saiyans, and Anodites to confine them to an infinite prison sentence as it were." Azmuth replied glad that they put said clan into a dimension prison that made sure that unless you were a Celestialsapien you wouldn't get out
"You won't see me crying over them being stuck where they belong. If you hadn't stepped in and corralled them where you did. Then 28 percent of the Milky Way galaxy would've been a barren husk by now." Albedo spoke glad to see them locked away
"It wasn't easy, given the fact they could hop from one body to the next. But we managed it, nonetheless." Azmuth replied
"What do you want to do until we meet with the Ultimatrix wielder?" Albedo asked his colleague
"Keep working on what we already have going on. I don't really see any reason not to continue our projects." Azmuth told his assistant
"Fair enough. Which reminds me, I'm going to be visiting with the Saiyans in a few days. I figured it wouldn't hurt to see how they're fairing." Albedo responded
"Out of all the species to take a liking to, I'm surprised the Saiyans have caught your interest." Azmuth said
"What can I say, Azmuth. Compared to us they may be simpletons, however, I find that in their simplicity in their way of life. It may be a peaceful and yet oddly competitive one, yet it's a fascinating one nonetheless; given their capacity for growth and understanding." Albedo replied in having found said race to be one of his favorites
"Who am I to argue with whatever catches your interests? Just as long as it isn't building weapons of mass destruction again." Azmuth said glad that his colleague hadn't or wasn't involved in anything nefarious
"I was going through a bit of a phase alright, sue me. We all go through one, Azmuth. Mine just so happened to include building weapons that can destroy planets in a single stroke." Albedo replied at his nearly 3-and-a-quarter centuries-long phase of doing so
"Yet it was that phase alone that nearly wiped out a 5th of an entire star system...It is a good thing that we are on good terms with the Plumbers otherwise; that would have been a disaster to sort through." Azmuth spoke
"Oh come off it, as if those law-abiding morons could ever take me down. Even they know better than to test my patience; when I can make weaponry that can cause a sun to go supernova in under a microsecond." Albedo said back with a proud grin of his capacity to always create weapons of mass destruction like a child plays with buidling blocks
"Regardless of your talents for creating incredibly destructive weaponry. Unless there you have anything else that you want to say, or inform me of. Then go and do whatever it is you want." Azmuth further spoke as he waved Albedo away to get back to working on his hyperdrives
"As of the moment, no. But I will be sure to keep you informed, Azmuth...Say what you want, but this Naruto kid is something else...Reminds me of me when I was a teenager ages ago." Albedo replied in actually liking the wielder of his and Azmth's pet project
"You had better, this Ultimatrix project of ours is really starting to get interesting." Azmuth said back before Albedo left Azmuth's workshop as it were
'Naruto Uzumaki…let's see what else you can do with our creation…Hopefully, you can evolve the rest of your race to be with the greater galaxy as a whole.' Albedo said to himself with vested interest in the shapeshifting blonde
So with Naruto and Sasuke having not only officially become genin, but also on the same team together as a new chapter begins in our resident Ultimatrix wielders' life. How will things go as the greater galaxy itself will soon set its sights upon him? Find out in the new installments of, The Alien Soldier!

Now then onto some of the reviews from the previous chapter.
Kourtney Uzu Yato: Yeah, as what can I say, as now that I'm trying to get back into the spirit of things. I feel like I've finally got my mojo back, and it feels great I tells ya! Also, from Naruto's perspective its one of those things where he just does not care because to him; its the point of 'I have dozens if not hundreds of things that are better spent worrying about and you are not one of them at this moment, so stop wasting my time and attention' in regards to her always trying to get an emotional response from him. Not to mention with her half of Kurama, its also the perspective of someone who is the eldest of their 8 other siblings that they would take it personally when Hayase is being a controlling jackass towards someone; when Kurama would give just about anything to see his again. Also, yeah as Itachi had ample opportunities to not get exiled from his clan but his greatest strength and also his greatest weakness did him in in the end, as you can only be so devoted towards one before even your clan is just fed up and decides screw it and cut the cord completely. Furthermore, you've pretty much nailed in regards to Orochimaru's feelings towards Nawaki considering that he mentored him up until his death and watched what happened, and had to be the one to return his corpse to Tsunade...that's enough to break anyone when there was barely half of him left for a close-casket funeral to put it into perspective.
Volcasiron30: Glad you liked it because I really wanted his downfall and punishment to be befitting of his devotion and loyalty being the reason why he loses it all. Especially since this is gonna have consequences going forward, since now know one is gonna be able to trust the guy who takes orders from someone that even if it is Jiraiya; that they will from here on see Itachi as forever compromised. Because you can be the best and be loyal to the village all you want, but the fact that you did something that out of order without just cause is enough to make anyone take a second look and see you as untrustworthy from therein, given that now everything he does is gonna be met with a justifiable amount of scrutiny. As hell with Izumi leaving him and pretty much HARD seperating from him, it only reinforces it considering that once word gets out about how he's neglected her and Mammoru overall...his reputation is gonna tank pretty dang hard in what's to come.
Starravenwolf: Yeah, Itachi's downfall with the clan is something that was built to happen given that is loyalty to Konoha is one of those double-edged swords. Furthermore, during the Exams they will take their own downfall of sorts, but from whom that will be, I am keeping that too myself for now...can't share all of what I've got in the works!
God of Wind 200:The Warhammer 40K series is actually a pretty expansive Tabletop and Book series that you will find no shortage of things to get into, my good sir. Also, yes in the appliances department; considering that he is starting to diversify himself in what he makes overall. It is just going to take time for that to happen given that for so long his focus has been and still will be the devlopment and furthering of Konoha as a military superpower.
