Power Woman Wife of Goku – Episode Seven The Namek Saga Prologue

A Hospital, afternoon
"Mr. Son Goku, there is a visitor here to see you." The elderly bearded doctor said struggling to properly pronounce Goku's name.
"What, but all my family and friends are already here. I wonder who it could be?" Goku said in astonishment. He was laying in a hospital bed his body heavily bandaged from his fight with Vegeta. Around him stood Carri, Gohan Krillin and all the others including Carri's friends from the DC universe.
"Mr. Popo is offended by your oversight, not all of your friends are here." Mr. Popo said in his creepy monotone voice. He hovered on a flying carpet just outside an open window. Bulma who happened to be closest could not help but jump a bit at the unexpected visitor.
Goku seemed on the verge of a panic attack. Carri gently stroked his right hand calming him. "Ah, hi Mr. Popo." Goku chuckled nervously. "What are you doing here?"
"Alright everyone you need to listen closely to Mr. Popo. If you want to get those other useless maggots back, now that our glorious god Kami is gone."
"You can get our friends back, Mr. Popo?" Krillin said. As with Goku and Gohan, Krillin's head was bandaged and one of his arms hung in a sling.
"Be quiet maggot, Mr. Popo is speaking." Mr. Popo snapped.
"Ah, yes sir," Krillin said cowering in fear.
"As Mr. Popo was saying before he was so rudely interrupted. The only hope to get your friends back is to use the Dragon Balls on Kami's home planet, Namek." Mr. Popo said.
"Namek, that's not a planet I've ever heard of," Bulma said.
"Oh look, an Earthling who doesn't know any better, surprise, surprise." Mr. Popo said.
"To be fair Mr. Popo I've never heard of Namek until recently either. Besides I thought Kami and Piccolo were demons?" Krillin said.
"Oh look, an Earthling who doesn't know any better." Mr. Popo said.
"Dammit, I walked right into that one," Krillin lamented.
"Anyhow, Mr. Popo is the only one who knows where Kami's old ship is hidden. And Mr. Popo is the only one with the transportation to get there. This is a carpet built for two." Mr. Popo said ominously.
Thinking fast Bulma pulled out her smartphone from her pants pocket. "Ha, we don't need your help. Back at Capsule Corp, my workers are fixing one of the crashed Saiyan ships." Bulma brought up an image of the vessel which promptly exploded when the workers tried to start its engines.
"Well, well, well, look who just ran out of options." Mr. Popo said.
"Bulma stop being such a scaredy-cat. Get on the magic carpet with the creepy genie." Master Roshi said. He was fed up with this situation.
"I think a democratic vote is the only fair way to settle this," Bulma suggested.
"I'll go with him. He does not frighten me. I have dealt with far worse than he in Tartarus." Diana said volunteering to accompany Mr. Popo much to Bulma's relief.
"Thanks," Bulma said with a smile genuinely relieved she did not have to go with Mr. Popo. Bulma greatly admired Carri's new friend already. Diana was brave far braver than she was.
"Glad to be of service," Diana said with a smile of her own.
"I like, you. You're feisty. Oh, you and Mr. Popo are going to have such fun together." Mr. Popo said.
Diana got onto the carpet without hesitation. A second later the pair were transported to a distant location where Mr. Popo showed Wonder Woman Kami's ship and explained how it worked.
Once they returned Diana explained what she had witnessed including how quickly the ship traveled to the edge of the solar system. "I'm certain with Mr. Popo as our pilot we'll reach Namek in no time."
"No," Mr. Popo said.
"What do you mean no?" Diana said taken aback by this odd creature's intransigence. He seemed gung-ho to help them a moment ago.
"If Mr. Popo was going to do it himself why would Mr. Popo need you lot?" Mr. Popo said. "Mr. Popo needs to stay here, take care of the Lookout and prepare for the great god Kami's glorious resurrection." Mr, Popo paused for a moment. "Mr. Popo will see you when you return, assuming you do." Mr. Popo said. Everyone noticed he pointed directly at Krillin before he and the carpet again vanished.
"Huh, why do you suppose he looked at me?" Krillin said. Several people shrugged.
Korin and Yajirobe arrived not long afterward with three Senzu Beans for Goku, Krillin & Gohan. Restored to health the trio was soon discharged from the hospital. This was much to the astonishment of the medical personnel.

"Gohan has a pet dragon?" Gine said after being licked by Icarus who was happy to see her.
Gine had already been inside of the small house. She was surprised to find a room for her there complete with clothing, a bed, and a few possessions. Dr. Fate's spell had been nothing if not thorough.
"Grandma don't be silly." Gohan laughed. "You're Icarus' second favorite person after me. It was you who convinced mom and dad to let me keep him after Turles was defeated. You said it wasn't healthy for me to live alone in the forest with no friends my age or pets. Don't you remember?" Icarus flipped over causing a minor earthquake so Gohan could rube his tummy. Icarus purred contentedly.
"Uh, yes, now I remember." Gine lied. That did sound like something she would say. Her new life would take some getting used to.
"Will there be enough room for all of us?" Starfire said noting the smallness of the Son Residence.
"You three can stay with me until something more permanent is worked out. We have plenty of room at Capsule Corp and I'd enjoy the company." Bulma suggested.
"Thank you, keeper of the briefs," Starfire said giving Bulma a bone-crushing hug.
"I can't breathe." Bulma wheezed.
"Sorry, I have been told I do not know my own strength." Starfire apologized.
"No problem, but next time a handshake will do," Bulma said before deciding she rather enjoyed the use of her hands. "Uh, on second thought a thank you would be best. " Bulma rubbed her tender sides. Had Starfire's embrace broken one of her ribs? They certainly felt bruised at least.
"We accept your generous offer of hospitality, Bulma. We'll try our best not to impose upon you any more than necessary." Diana said. She twisted one of Waller's arms behind Waller's back so the others would not see. Waller winched slightly due to discomfort. "Isn't that right?"
"It sure is." Waller agreed. "We'll be no trouble."
"Speaking of home. We should head there. It is getting late and there is plenty of planning to do before the trip to Namek. See you guys tomorrow."
Bulma waved at Goku, Carri, Gohan, and Gine. Before Bulma, Diana, Waller & Koriand'r could depart something strange happened. Chronoa the Supreme Kai of Time appeared in a flash of purple-gold energy. Everyone was dumbfounded for several moments.
Carri blinked once then twice before she recognized the Kai. "Hey, you're the one who fused my two halves."
"I'm pleased you recognize me, Carri. For the benefit of those who do not know of me, I am Chronoa the Supreme Kai of Time. My job is to ensure the proper flow of chronological events, of history if you prefer. I have returned because this timeline is once again in danger of a great divergence. A divergence that must be prevented at all costs." Chronoa explained.
"Wow, this sounds serious. How can we help?" Goku asked.
"It is imperative you Goku and you Gohan travel along with Krillin, Bulma, and Diana to Namek. " Chronoa answered. "You Carri, Gine, Koriand'r and Waller must remain here. I sense that Earth is under a grave threat. This threat is being somehow obscured from me but I know what should soon happen is Darkseid's return."
"Darkseid," Carri said. Her heat vision briefly flashed turning her eyes red.
"Carri with your newly increased strength and combat skills acquired during your time in the other universe, and your allies Darkseid would normally be defeated following an intense battle. That said, evil is afoot here, a hidden evil that seeks to upend the events of established history." Chronoa said. "This hidden evil brought Darkseid and Power Girl to our universe years ago in an attempt to kill young Goku and young Chi Chi. I prevented its attempted meddling but I fear eventually these attempts will succeed. Without knowledge of exactly who or what is behind these attempts I fear my countermeasures can only go so far."
"So, this evil created me?" Carri asked not liking the implications of Chronoa's words.
"No, I created you to counter the hidden evil," Chronoa said putting Carri's fears to rest. "But you are not my champion rather you are your own person; Power Woman wife of Goku, mother of Gohan, and someone day to come grandmother of one of my two chosen champions."
"Grandmother?" Carri exclaimed. She glanced at her son as did Goku and the others save for Waller who could not have cared less.
"I can say no more, to do so would potentially jeopardize the flow of history," Chronoa said. "Be wary of Darkseid when he returns. Do not lower your guard. Goku, you are your team should also heed my words. Do not underestimate any foe you encounter on Namek. Remember what is at stake, all of you." Goku gave Chronoa a thumps-up. "Now I must depart. Farewell, and good luck." Chronoa disappeared in another flash of purple-gold light.
"Well, we have our instructions," Carri said in a sullen tone her expression crestfallen.
Goku noticed the drastic change in his wife's mood. "What's wrong, hon?"
"It's, it's nothing," Carri said looking away.
They had been together too long for Goku to take her statement at face value. "Something is bothering you, what?"
"We've only just found each other again and we have to say goodbye already. It isn't fair. I've missed you so much." Carri said looking back at Goku.
"I've missed you too, More than I can say," Goku said. "I can't promise this will be the last time we are ever apart. But no matter what I'll always find my way back to you." He cupped Carri's chin in his hands. "Until I met you I didn't know what love meant, well, romantic love."
"I love you too Goku. You are the other piece of my soul. I don't want to ever live without you again." Carri said.
"Me either," Goku said.
The two kissed to the applause of everyone saw Waller (who again could not have cared less) and Gohan who was at the age were he hated "yucky" stuff. Gine smiled it was wonderful to see her son happy with a family of his own. Once they got back Raditz everything would be perfect, as perfect as things could be without Bardock.
Carri and Goku broke there kiss after about ten seconds. "Oh, and I learned a nifty technique from my new buddy King Kai. I can't wait to share it with you." Goku said excitedly. "Hey, King Kai can I share Kaio-ken with my friends?" Goku shouted up at the sky much to everyone's confusion.
"You can share it with your wifey. She seems a good enough person, but only her unless I say otherwise. If everyone is using Kaio-ken it loses its uniqueness." The voice of King Kai answered back.
"Thanks, King Kai," Goku said. "That was King Kai. He loves kidding around. He's a riot in person. I hope you can meet him someday." Goku explained to Carri and the others.
"Looks like we have our work cut out for us, huh?" Bulma said.
"So it would appear," Diana agreed.
"Okay ladies, we'll see you tomorrow. It has been a very long day. I don't know about you but I'm exhausted." Carri said.
"I think we have all earned some rest," Gine said.
Goku's stomach rumbled. "Aw, mom, could you wipe up a pot of your famous stew before we hit the hay? I'm starving."
"Anything for you my son," Gine said with a grin.
"Thanks, mom," Goku said hugging his mother. "You're the best."
This brought a tear to Gine's eye. She gently patted Goku on his back. While she was by no means the greatest of warriors, Gine swore she would do whatever she must to protect her reunited family. Darkseid, whoever he was, would not take them away from her nor would Frieza or his kin. She would gladly die to protect them.
"Bye," Bulma said.
Bulma, Diana, Starfire, and Waller finally departed as stars lite up the darkening sky. Gine walked inside hand in hand with her son while Carri shooed away Icarus who was much too big to sleep indoors with Gohan (which the baby dragon would have greatly preferred). Who knew what tomorrow would bring but tonight the expanded Z Fighters together stood tall determined to revive their fallen loved ones.
