Power Woman Wife of Goku – Episode Eleven Yardrat to Earth

Yardrat, morning

Carri sat at a round wooden table enjoying her morning meal. The native Yardratians had been nothing but hospitable to her and her family since their arrival on Yardrat a year ago. They had even generously taught the Son Family their Instant Transmission technique.

The Yardratians were good people. Carri smiled to herself as she sipped some yellow Yardratian tea from a rough-hewn cup. She was glad by slaying Frieza and the Ginyu Force that Goku, Gohan, and their friends had prevented the conquest of this world. Carri's peaceful respite was soon disturbed by a pair of squabbling children.

"Give it back, Gohan!" A young girl with slightly pointed ears, pale blue skin, and a mane of frizzly orange head shouted.

"Nah, you'll have to catch me first, Zangya!" Gohan taunted sticking his tongue out at the girl. He held a baseball-sized shiny purple stone over his head. Like Carri, Gohan and Zangya wore the typical dress of the Yardratians.

"No fair, you're better at Instant Transmission than I am! You've had more practice! I'll never catch you." Zangya fumed stamping one of her small feet angrily. She then sniffed. Her lower lip quivered. She looked at Gohan with watery eyes.

"Don't cry. I'm sorry. Here, take it." Gohan said handing Zangya the stone.

"Sucker," Zangya said the moment she had the stone in her grasp. Grinning from ear to ear, she used Instant Transmission to vanish before Gohan could react.

"She tricked me," Gohan said.

"She usually does. I think you have a soft spot for her, my son." Carri said with a knowing smile.

Zangya reappeared still grinning. "Where did you hide it?" Gohan demanded incredulously.

"Someplace you'll never find it," Zangya said sticking her tongue out at Gohan.

Gohan wanted to be angry but he could not. Zangya was his best friend. Her arrival on Yardrat filled a void he was not even aware existed.

"You got me, again." Gohan conceded with a chuckle.

"Yup, I sure did." Zangya said with a chuckle of her own.

"Hey gang, what's up?" Goku asked entering the chamber of their small hut. He to was clad in the traditional clothing worn by their Yardratian hosts.

"Nothing much, just relaxing," Carri said. Goku walked over to Carri and put his arms around her neck. He kissed her cheek gently.

"Yuck," Gohan said in a typical young boy fashion. "I hate mushy stuff."

"I think it's romantic how much your parents love each other." Zangya swooned.

The happy scene was broken up by the booming voice of Porunga the Immortal Dragon of Namek. "Goku, Carri, and Gohan your loved ones have wished upon that you be returned to Earth, yet I sense hesitancy on your part Carri. Do you not desire to return to Earth?"

The three exchanged glances then Carri looked at Zangya. "If we return would Zangya be brought along with us?" Carri said already suspecting what the answer would be.

"The Hera girl Zangya is not subject to the wish. She would remain on Yardrat." Porunga confirmed Carri's suspicions.

Several heartbreakingly tense seconds ticked by while everyone stared at Zangya. Finally, she spoke showing a depth of maturity that beguiled her age. "You took me in when my ship crashed here six months ago. Being with you is the only time I've felt safe since my family was killed by the forces of Frieza's brother Cooler. You hid me here so the sensors of Bojack's Pirates couldn't find me. I'll always be grateful for everything you've done. But I can't ask you to stay here because of me. You should go home, be with your family. I wish I could be with mine and I wish I could stay with you, but I can't." Unlike before genuine tears fell freely from Zangya's eyes. "I'll never forget any of you. I love you all."

The Son Family led by Carri embraced Zangya in a group hug. Soon they were crying along with the girl. "I promise we won't leave you behind, baby," Carri said stroking Zangya's hair to soothe the child she viewed as a surrogate daughter. "We have to stay."

"Of course we do," Goku confirmed. He knew there was no way Carri would abandon Zangya just as there was no way he would abandon the child to her fate. It went against the very core of his being.

"Hey, you can be annoying at times but you're also my best friend. We should stick together." Gohan said.

"So we agree?" Goku asked. Carri and Gohan voiced their assent. "Tell our loved ones we'll return to Earth later," Goku said to the disembodied voice of Porunga.

"Very well, I shall inform them of your decision." Porunga's voice rumbled one final time.

"Thank you, thank you all so very much for not leaving me behind," Zangya said still crying.

"Hush now, dry the tears from your eyes. You're part of our family, baby, nothing will ever change that." Carri said holding Zangya tightly.

"How about we have a training session?" Goku offered. He wanted to change the subject to one he considered happier. He released the others from his embrace Gohan and Carri soon followed suit. "Boys versus girls. We'll go easy on you." He added with a wink.

"Pfft," Carri scoffed. "You'll go easy on us, yeah right. We beat you last time."

"Only because you and Zangya cheated," Gohan accused.

"We didn't cheat. We outsmarted you." Zangya said.

"You used tandem Instant Transmission to pretend you were vaporized by our ki attack. While we were worried we killed you two you appeared behind us. You then unleashed a dual attack before we could react, no fair," Gohan huffed.

"Right, we outsmarted you." Zangya insisted.

"Opponents don't always fight fair, Gohan," Carri pointed out.

"We're mother is right, Gohan. Many foes show a complete lack of honor." Goku said. "You should be prepared for anything in battle."

"I guess," Gohan grumbled. While he knew his parents were correct he did not want to admit such was the case.

"Come along, it's sparring time," Goku said happily.

"Sorry to disturb your activities, our guests. A matter of immense importance has been discerned." A typically small pink-skinned Yardratian said in their oddly stilted manner of speech.

"What is it?" Goku asked.

"Our spies have learned that the tyrant called Frieza has survived your encounter on Namek. The tyrant Frieza and his tyrant parent King Cold seek vengeance against your people of Earth for the defeat upon the former world of Namek. The tyrants are on their way to Earth." The Yardratian reported.

Goku, Carri, Gohan, and even Zangya felt their blood run cold at the mention of Frieza and his family. "Thank you for telling us," Goku said.

"Can we Instant Transmission to Earth?" Carri asked hopefully.

"Perhaps, if unlikely. Most probably you'll need to go to Earth before you can Instant Transmission to there." The Yardratian explained. "We have repaired your commandeered space vessel. Your commandeered space vessel awaits you."

"Thanks," Goku said. "Looks like we're going back to Earth sooner than we thought after all."

"And the best part is we're going back together," Carri said with a smile.

"I hope I can achieve Super Saiyan a second time," Goku said glancing at his wife. A hint of worry in his voice.

"While I know you haven't been able to use your new form since Namek, I believe in you. I'm certain you'll access the power again if need be." Carri said reassuring her husband.

The Time Nest

Chronoa the Supreme Kai of Time clandestinely watched events unfold with satisfaction. "Zangya will make a fine replacement for Videl now that she has been removed from Bojack's influence. She'll grow into a fine morally upstanding person not to mention a brave powerful warrior. A couple of small nudges from me and the timeline is more or less back on track." She said mentally patting herself on the back.

While Darkseid and Towa remained at large, the worst of the damage they had tried to do was undone. Chronoa knew vigilance would be required to fend off further time attacks. Until the gruesome twosome was definitively dealt with she could not lower her guard.

King Cold's Mother Ship, Deep Space

"I can scarcely believe you lost the entire Ginyu Force, Zarbon, & Dodoria and were humbled by a mere monkey and his equally uncouth friends. The very thought that any offspring of mine was utterly defeated by such a lowly creature is, frankly, appalling." King Cold said to his cybernetically reconstructed son.

"My defeat was unforeseeable, father. This particular monkey is a sneaky one. He used a form previously unseen for generations." Mecha Frieza said.

"Ah, yes, the vaunted 'Super Saiyan'." King Cold said thoroughly unimpressed by what he saw as excuses from Frieza. "Keep this behavior up and I might reverse my earlier decree by making your brother Cooler heir apparent to my Empire."

"Cooler is unfitted to rule, you've said so yourself on multiple occasions! I'm his superior in every way! He's nothing compared to me!" Mecha Frieza ranted.

"At least your brother Cooler, for his many faults, has never been humbled by a filthy monkey and that monkey's ragtag band of miscreants." King Cold said further needling his son.

"Argh," Frieza roared. "I'll show you, father! I'll redeem myself by destroying that monkey and reducing his world to atoms!"

"We'll see." King Cold said with a smirk. "If you're not up to the task, despite your upgrades, I'll be there to take care of business. No monkey and his friends humble one of my own and live unmolested to tell the tale."

"I'm more than up to the task, father." Frieza snapped.

"Time will tell, my son, time will tell." King Cold said. The mother ship sped towards Earth.

Earth several days later, morning

A nightmare, that was the only way Duluma could describe what was happening. Somehow Frieza had survived being blown up along with Namek. Duluma nervously gripped her unsheathed sword more tightly in her right hand. Around her stood the other Z Fighters which now included Starfire, Gine, Waller, Raditz, and her new husband the reformed Prince Vegeta.

"Um, sorry I didn't have a chance to buy you guys a wedding gift before, well, this happened." Krillin apologized. "In my defense, your marriage was super sudden."

"Shut up, human," Vegeta snapped.

"Hey, there is no need to be rude." Krillin fired back.

"So, has anyone else noticed we're dealing with two extremely high power levels rather than one?" Gine asked fearfully.

"One of them in Frieza, but the other I'm not sure who it belongs to. The second power level feels familiar to Frieza's yet different." Duluma said.

"I am, his father King Cold is with him," Vegeta said.

"Frieza has a father!?" Yamcha exclaimed.

"And a brother," Raditz said.

"Great," Yamcha groaned.

King Cold's Mother Ship landed over the next ridge. The gathered Z Fighters cautiously made their way to the landing zone. Meanwhile, King Cold and Mecha Frieza emerged accompanied by a host of minions.

"Well son, is this what you were expecting?" King Cold asked surveying the dismal scene.

"This place is pathetic." Mecha Frieza said. "We're so far out in the space sticks there isn't even a Space Radio Shack much less a Space Best Buy. But I won't lie, father, I'm ecstatic. When that filthy monkey and his Kryptonian witch arrive they'll return not to the smiling faces of their dear friends and family rather to an unadulterated genocide. Speaking of which, soldiers." Mecha Frieza called to their minions who dutifully lined up in front of him and King Cold. "The scavenger hunt will proceed as follows: normal humans are worth one point, Namekians are worth twenty points, any other creatures or hybrids are worth thirty points, and if you find any miserable, insubordinate, odious, traitors they are worth one hundred points, off you go."

"Yes sir," The minions said in unison.

The minions flew into the air but they did not get far. An instant later their deeply cut bodies fell not far away from Frieza and King Cold. A teenage silver-haired girl in yellow boots, black pants, and a blue Capsule Corp jacket landed in front of the space monarchs. She placed the sword she had been wielding into it's snapped mounted on her back.

"I couldn't help but overhearing your speech, nice pep talk." The silver-haired teenager said. Her face was grim. Her long ponytail flapped in the breeze. "How many points did I earn by slaying every one of your troops with one flurry? I'm waiting."

"I have no idea who you are but I assure you, your insolence will not go unanswered," Mecha Frieza warned.

"So, is this one of the filthy monkey's friends?" King Cold asked eyeing the girl with mild curiosity.

"No, father, she's someone new," Mecha Frieza said. "Who are you and why are you here?"

"Who I am doesn't matter. I'm here to kill you Frieza." The silver-haired teenager said.

Frieza laughed at her bravado. "Oh, my, my, aren't you precious."

"Leave now, or die. I won't give you another warning." The silver-haired teenager said.

"Oh, an ultimatum, I love ultimatums. Here is mine. I'll blow up the planet unless you mind your own business, girl!" Mecha Frieza said.

"Question, what is up with all the spare parts sticking out of you?" The silver-haired teenager asked.

"I'll have you know these aren't 'spare parts'." Mecha Frieza ranted. "I am the ultimate culmination of science and nature. I am a fusion of perfection."

"Right, you looking like a hastily thrown together walking talking junk heap to me," The silver-haired teenager said.

"You know if I didn't need entertainment until the Super Saiyan arrives I'd kill you this instant, mouthy brat," Mecha Frieza said.

"Why didn't you say so. Ask and ye shall receive. One Super Saiyan coming up." The silver-haired teenager said with a mighty yell she transformed into a Super Saiyan.

"No, no, no, no, no," Mecha Frieza said experiencing a flashback to his devastating defeat on Namek.

Mecha Frieza floated high into the air. He quickly generated a massive orange-red Death Ball which he hurled down at the Female Super Saiyan. She effortlessly stopped the Death Ball from impact her body with one hand.

"I think this belongs to you, creep." The Female Super Saiyan said.

She threw the ball back at Frieza and King Cold after charging it with some of her energy. The profoundly shocked pair were obliterated along with their ship. No trace was left save from an enormous smoking crater. The Female Super Saiyan deflected the backlash energy harmless into space with a swat of her left forearm on which she wore a silver gauntlet (as she also did on her right forearm) beneath her jacket.

"We're back," Carri said coming into sight with Goku, Gohan, and a Zangya who hung back upon seeing so many unfamiliar faces.

"That was a pretty impressive blast. What did we miss?" Goku asked.

The Z Fighters were rendered speechless by the spectacle they had witnessed while watching from a safe distance. Krillin simply pointed at the Female Super Saiyan who by this point had returned to her normal Silver-haired state. She waved at Goku and Carri.

"Huh, who are you?" Goku asked.

"A friend, with a long and important story to tell." She sighed.

Next - After already having lost most of Earth's population, our heroes face the prospect of an even more dire future.

To Be Continued

Author's Note One -

I thought I'd need at least two chapters to cover things before the Android Saga then I realized there is time for another chapter, or several before our cyborgs arrive, thus I wrapped up the Pre-Future "Trunks" bit here.

Author's Note Two -

See, I told everyone I had an alternative match in mind for Gohan. Because this is a crossover story I have the freedom to try interesting things I could not do if this were strictly canon complainant. I've always liked Zangya as a semi-canon character and think I can make her interesting in this story.

Author's Note Three -

Why is Trunks female? Well, simple answer Duluma's Amazonian genes predispose her offspring to be girls rather than boys. While she can conceive a boy it is far more likely her offspring will all be girls. And in this reality Trunks isn't named Trunks but rather Bra as opposed to her sister, if she even will have one later on (I haven't decided yet).
