Aftermath

It had been two days since the villain attack. Estelle had spent that time talking to the cops and reassuring Nona that she was okay. She had also attempted to look for any leads since she was conscious it was only a matter of time when she would have to ride into battle.

Izuku Midoriya lay in the hospital bed, resting with his arms limp at his sides. The purple bruising showed the extent of his endeavour of pushing himself past his limits once again.

The class, minus a few, realised he was awake when Kaminari opened the door and smiled. They all trickled into the room. Estelle was the last one in the place and stayed standing behind them all. She purposefully remained near the exit in case she needed to retreat quickly.

"I brought you a present! It's a melon!" Mineta shouted out, holding the melon in the air. Estelle glowered at the tiny male. Who in their right mind would get a melon for a gift when their worst childhood friend was abducted?

'Don't kill him. Don't kill him.'

Estelle stood behind the class while Izuku spoke, "Did everyone come to visit?"

"No, Jiro and Hagakure are still unconscious from the poisonous gas. Yaoyorozu took a pretty bad hit to the head, too; she woke up yesterday. So, it's just us." Iida stated briskly.

"Only fifteen of us, for now," Ochako chimed in.

"Because Bakugo is gone", Shoto reminded. Estelle closed her eyes at the idiocy of the male. Why did they have to remind him?

Ashido gasped and gave the two tones boy a light scolding.

"I was so close. I needed to save Bakugo. Had to. That's the entire reason I have my quirk. It's exactly like Mr Aizawa said to me. My body wouldn't move. I couldn't save someone who was right in front of me, and since I failed, he's gone," Izuku voiced before letting out the tears of frustration.

Estelle felt for him. She understood the feeling all too well. It was like a heavy weight on your shoulders when you knew that you could have done something. The helplessness never fades away. They could only hope that Bakugo was alive and well. Considering the pair were not on the kill list, it seemed likely that the league of villains had other plans. She wondered what they had in store for her.

"All right, then let's go get him", Kirishima stated, entirely determined to save his hot-headed best friend, who will never admit that they were friends. Kirishima had then explained further what he had overheard with Yaoyorozu yesterday and how she placed a tracker on the Nomu who was in the attack.

"You should listen to what All Might said. This is not the time for us to get involved! Idiots." Iida yelled out in frustration.

"Maybe! But all I know is that at camp. I couldn't do anything! My friend was targeted, and I just stood by. Helpless. So, if I do nothing now, how can I call myself a hero or a man?!"

"Kirishima, calm down. We are in a hospital," Kaminari soothed.

"I get what you're saying! But still. Come on, Midoriya; he's still within your reach. We can save Bakugo," Kirishima tried with his hand out.

Estelle ignored the debate between her classmates until Tsu's words caught her attention.

"If you go out willingly. Knowing your breaking the rules, then you're acting like villains, not heroes."

The students remained silent.

'He's just here just to make me suffer more than I already have. It looks like it's all going to go downhill for me.

Somebody kill me and play god save the queen at my funeral because bitch I deserve it.

Sigh.'

Estelle's sigh caught the attention of the classmates standing in the hospital room. They forgot she was even there since she had been soundless until now.

Tsu stepped forward towards Estelle and inquired, "What do you think? They should leave it to the heroes, right?"

Estelle lamented again and looked into their eyes before turning to face the exit. "I think my opinion does not matter; it won't change anything. Though I do have other things that need attending to - so do what you will."

Walking forward to leave with her hand now resting on the hospital door. Estelle was interrupted by Kirishima's yell.

"Does this class mean anything to you? It sure doesn't seem like it! It sounds like you could care less that Bakugo is kidnapped. What could possibly be more important?" He hollered, his frustration still evident in his voice.

Estelle slumped in exhaustion since they just didn't get it. There was a madman on the loose, too strong for anybody else but her. Time was running out. Estelle opened the door, not before leaving her parting words.

"It's a helluva lot more important than you can imagine. Looks like your going to have to trust my word, just like I have to rely on you guys to get the job done, no?" Before the words could register in their minds, the heavy door of the hospital room clicked shut, leaving them in stunned silence.

She does believe in them. With those words, the class had realised that they had still not gotten any closer to finding out who Estelle was. The words given showed that she did care in some way or another. They were beginning to lose hope, and she had given them the spirit to keep digging, even if she was unaware that her words sparked a newfound fire under them. They all decided that Estelle wasn't completely lost to them.

She had kept a distance all this time so that when it was time for her to go back home, Estelle would be easily forgotten. Estelle knew deep in her heart that she didn't hate her time with Class 1A. Even though they continuously irritated her, she had laughed and smiled more than she ever had back home; it wasn't a whole lot more, but still. Pushing back her feelings, they were no use to her here. Estelle prepared for what was about to take place. She just knew that today was the day.

The timer was reaching its end. Tonight.

Estelle rushed down the hospital corridors brushing and bumping past worried family members with quick apologies whilst her mind tried to catch up with the current situation.

Where would she find him?

Estelle wanted to see Nona first. She didn't know the outcome, and leaving her only sunshine in the dark was unfair to the woman. Walking into The Beanery, Estelle waited in silence for the cafe to be empty. After a while, Estelle called for Nona to come to her table. Nona could instantly tell that something wasn't right.

"What's wrong, Hunny?"

"I didn't tell you this earlier, but when I was at training camp, I ran into someone."

"Who?"

"A man from my world. He has come to finish the job."

Nona jumped up frantically at what she was hearing, and Estelle rushed out her following words "The reason I'm telling you this is because I will be facing him. Tonight. I had to let you know. Just in case."

"Oh, baby! You can't go! Tell the heroes; they can handle it!"

"I cannot; their strength is not enough. If I don't beat him, then this world could be at stake. You have to let me go," Estelle insisted, her face serious.

Nona sighed shakingly before nodding and sitting down. Estelle's heart clenched at the defeated expression on her face.

"I can't force you. But you promise me! Promise me you'll come back."

"Of course, I'll do everything I can to come back to you."

Nona leaned over the table and enveloped Estelle in a tight hug, fearful of what was about to take place. Estelle stroked Nona's hair whilst she murmured her assurances. The familiar feeling around her heart strengthened her resolve.

'Like hell I'm dying tonight.'

It was nine in the evening when she received the location of where she had to go. She was suiting up when a piece of paper dropped in front of her from nowhere with the coordinates. Estelle took a deep breath.

It was time.

Slamming the entrance doors open to reach the outside, Estelle paid no mind to those around her and created wings of fire to shoot out of her back. It was something she never did in this world since it would have raised more suspicion. Estelle was already powerful here; she didn't need to show off.

Flapping the wings that shot fire to propel her, Estelle zipped off to the sky and towards her destination. The frantic thrumming of her heart clashed in her ears as she blasted more heat through her wings. If anyone looked up, they would have assumed that it was a shooting star. Estelle forced her mind to clear the more she travelled; the anticipation was always the worst part of her fight. She was as ready as can be.

It had been just over an hour when Estelle reached her checkpoint. The sky had darkened further, and her thoughts had quietened. She landed on the ground with a light thump, the raging fires within her wings dimmed to a shimmering red. The shadow before her morphed into the shape of a man.

It was him.

Ryah.
