Kamino Ward

Estelle gazed ahead at the being before her. His long white hair reached past his shoulders and rested on his hips. His glowing grey eyes stared into hers with such smugness it began sparking at the pit of Estelle's stomach. He was beautiful, his features were striking, and his body was lean with muscle.

Estelle held in her disbelief. He looked different from when she last saw him on the battlefield. Before she could think about it, Ryah began to speak.

"I believe you are wondering why I am here?" His voice rang out in the silence of the night. His speech was unusually soft.

"Of course, I didn't realise that I was that important to you," Estelle responded with her head tilted forward in question.

Ryah spun his body to turn his back on Estelle with a hiss. "You are the only reason I am here, my dear Estelle", he retorted as if that would answer all life questions.

"But why?" She responded swiftly. Estelle's mind has been full of questions since she arrived in this world, and there were no answers. All she knew was that he had some vendetta against him, but she didn't understand why.

He turned his head to the ground before answering, "When I tricked you and pushed you into the portal - into this hero filled world. I believed I had fulfilled my greatest wish. Only to realise that this wasn't a punishment for you. It was a gift; this world is perfect for you. A Cambion who was hailed as a saviour is now a hero saving lives once again. How pitiful, I have come to rectify that, and I'll tear down this world in the aftermath."

The fury that was simmering in Estelle grew into a raging fire. Her eyes lit up with fortitude. She wasn't going to be ripped away from a planet, only to be placed in another again. Estelle sneered at Ryah before her. "There's no chance in hell I would allow that; the only place I'm going is back home where I belong, and you? You are going to be buried six feet under after I'm done."

Ryah laughed in response, his smile broadening with pity. It was like he was playing a game Estelle wasn't aware she was a part of, and she fell hook, line and sinker for it. The smile aggravated her to no end.

"Is that so? Looks like we are at an impasse. It seems that we must use our fists rather than our words, how distasteful" his voice grew from soft to manic as his eyes gained insanity. "This will be fun!"

Ryah sped forward in front of Estelle with a long bone-shaped sword as thin as ice in a blink of an eye. Estelle formed one of her own from steel and fire just in time for the blade and bone to clash. Dashing forward, Estelle and the powerful being struck blows and collided swords. Ducking and blocking so quickly that if an average person was watching, they wouldn't be able to keep up as the two blurred in their battle.

Ryah growled in disdain when he realised that weapons were leading them nowhere and began shooting tiny bone dart-shaped bullets towards Estelle. In retaliation, Estelle raised her hands in an upward motion with her air bending to hold the darts still and flicked her hands around to shoot them right back at him.

The conflict raged on, the two using their abilities to attack and defend. The strength of the two caused hundred's of pits to be left on the ground. The duo fighting wasn't holding back an ounce of strength, aware of skill the other had. Pockets of fire, water and bone laid on the mud and grass; it was indeed a sight to see.

Ryah's abilities differed completely from Estelle. He had Osteokinesis – the ability to manipulate bone. Estelle had gathered that he was extraordinarily skilled and held creative uses for his power, but he hadn't mastered it enough to work bones in others. She was highly thankful for that.

Estelle grunted as bones as sharp as knives spiked through the ground to hopefully stab at her, but she managed to manoeuvre out of the way. She retaliated with a strike of lightning, which only caught his arm as he tried to evade it.

"When I saw the betrayal on your face the day I outwitted you. I touched myself. Oh! It was exquisite to see all my hard work paid off like that. You never liked me; I knew that. It made it all the sweeter. You've already felt the burn of betrayal before, haven't you? Here you are, experiencing it all over again."

Estelle grunted at his calls as she evaded more attacks. Ignoring the sting of his words. "You may have managed to get me through the portal, but I always knew you were slimy. You overestimate how good your acting skills are. Betrayal is when someone you trust stabs you in the back. I never trusted you for a second! What I don't understand is your end goal."

"I already told you! To see you suffer and watch the world around you burn!" Ryah exclaimed as he rained down spinning bone-like knives. Estelle winced as they scratched her arm. In the far distance was Kamino ward; the battle there was just beginning as sounds of clashing fists began to echo for miles. He beamed at the noise and looked down at the powerful girl before him.

"Let's give the people in this world a show; why don't we?" Ryah said before giving a hysterical laugh. He zipped off to the battle taking place further ahead.

Adrenaline rushed through Estelle. Fire shot out of her wings to follow the mad Cambion running at the speed of light on the ground in a desperate attempt to stop him from causing mayhem. She remained a few meters above him to pelt attacks as much as possible but ultimately failed as he was too agile. Estelle realised he altered his bone density to enhance his speed and reflexes. Kamino ward was close now, their speed ending the distance as fast as a bullet.

Estelle hastily surveyed the scene. Bakugo was turned towards the league while he fought for his safety. All Might was battling a villain in an all-out fight. Her classmates were stood huddled behind a wall. Estelle knew from the scene that her secrets might no longer be her own.

Ryah stopped his run whilst Estelle landed on the ground. The two stood face to face within a different battlefield. Others watched with confusion at the view before them.

"What the hell are you doing here, Lioness? And who is this weird pedo with you!?" Bakugo yelled out in perplexed frustration. All Might and the villain stopped their scuffle to face the new additions.

"Young Estelle? What are you doing here? You must leave, it is not safe! We will discuss this further at a later date," All Might bellowed out in the brief halt of his battle.

The villain stayed still, soundlessly surveying the scene. It was as if he was aware that this may be a game-changer.

The students hiding behind the rubble stood in shock since this was not what they had thought Estelle would be doing at all. Shoto shook himself out of his disbelief and turned to the others, still stuck in their state of astonishment.

"Now is not the time to think about that; we need to do what we came here for, which is saving Bakugo. We can think about getting answers later" The male hurried out.

The insane look in Ryah's eyes grew as he viewed the reaction of those around Kamino Ward. His shoulders shook before he threw his head back in a peal of laughter so demented that it caused everyone except Estelle to stop and quiver. Estelle just simply continued to scowl at the male in front of her.

"You think we are here for your petty squabbles, no-no. I am here to continue my battle with this fair lady in front of me. I thought it might be entertaining to add a few human lives into the mix, it always ups the stakes, and I love the idea of watching dear Estelle try to save as many as she can. We could make a game of it, hmm?"

"Shut up; your voice is irritating", Estelle sighed before raising her voice to allow everyone in the vicinity to hear. "I have no time to explain, but right now, I am the only person that can deal with him so stay the hell out of our way if your value your life. I don't have the time to save you," Estelle finished before turning towards All Might. "Fight your battle, and I'll fight mine, capiche?"

All Might stood dumbfounded at the girl before him. Could he possibly allow this to happen? The hero didn't have much choice right now. He looked into Estelle's eyes only to find her orbs pleading with him to listen. He could see the confidence and resolve to win the conflict she was in. He nodded in assent and accepted her words before turning back to his foe.

Estelle swung back to Ryah, who watched the scene with an ecstatic smirk. She placed her left foot back to get into a stance, showing she was ready to fight. Estelle saw ice at the corner of her eye and Bakugo following along after. She inwardly sighed in relief that he was gone and secured with the rest of her classmates. Estelle slowly let out a breath and stared down at her opponent, ready for the next round to begin.

Bring it on.

Before the fight could even begin again, Estelle noticed the villain's following behind her classmates with an advance that would ruin their escape. Her eyes broadened, and she rushed to them, effectively blocking the strike with her air bending.

"Go! Keep going! Don't stop for nothin' you hear!?" She bellowed out as she defended them.

The group stared at her in reprieve that they managed to escape. The moment was halted when she was smacked into a few buildings with an explosion.

"Estelle!" The group cried in concern.

Without time to recover, Estelle flew out of the rubble and right towards Ryah with a hundred steel spikes floating around her. She directed the metal towards him, and Ryah immediately began to defend.

Her classmates sighed in relief from the distance.

Ryan leapt forward, creating balls of metal-like bone and fired them towards Estelle as she darted around Kamino ward to evade. Her eyes trailed to the heroes quickly and some burden lifted off her chest. The backup was here.

They attempted to jump into the fray to take down Ryah but were promptly thrown back with hundreds of bullets, sharpened to a blade. It cut through their skin like paper.

"Stay the hell back! This isn't your fight. Trust me! Focus on rescue! " Estelle commanded to the poor heroes who thankfully agreed after their second attempt had failed.

The world followed the fight with All Might and the villain. Estelle could tell the battle wasn't going anywhere amid her conflict, but she could do nothing to support him. Estelle couldn't go full out like at the previous location. There were too many civilians, which was why she remained in the air to keep them away.

Estelle raised a cluster of blocks from the damaged buildings all around Kamino Ward. She noticed a helicopter from the corner of her eye and disapproved. Adding fire to the chunks, Estelle kept them floating as they pursued Ryah on the ground. Using this as a distraction, Estelle sent a fire bullet directly towards him. The strike landed, hitting Ryah right in his shoulder.

The whole world couldn't keep their sights off the two encounters taking place side by side. They were in disbelief at the fact a teenage girl was holding her own against some strange entity. He looked human, but there was something off. He seemed to be remarkably powerful. Class 1A, Kota and Nona watched the display on the news with sweat; the anticipation and concern were taking over them.

Ryah flew up into the air to assail the news helicopter, and Estelle took a double-take. He could fly? She wondered if he could alter his own bones enough that they would be weightless. Her thoughts were cut off when she managed to obstruct the spinning bones that looked like makeshift drills.

Leaning towards those with the helicopter briefly while her hands were raised to keep the barrier up. Estelle vocalised. The news camera zoomed in on her. "This isn't the time. Stay back. I can't allow you guys to get hurt."

Before anything could be said in response, Estelle was hurled to the earth by Ryah, causing a loud eruption that left a massive indentation on the land.

People's breath suspended.

Estelle stood up in the cloud of dust from the aftermath.

The camera panned up to the male who had now taken her place in the sky.

"You make me sick. I sent you to this world to make you suffer. The saviour of the spirit world. The people's hero. The one who brought light into the darkness. Disgraceful! My father was supposed to rule the two planes! The harbinger of darkness. And you? You struck him down.

I didn't just want you to die the day I attacked. I wanted you to lose everything. Imagine my surprise when the world I sent you to was filled with heroes and villains—a place where you could belong. You were supposed to die with grief! Instead, you thrived! You became what you already are! A hero! I am here to make sure you experience what you deserve. When I'm done, I'll take this world down with you," Ryah belted out.

Estelle glared up at Ryah as her heart twisted. He was that madman's son? It all suddenly made so much sense. The realisation of what he did promptly set in. He did that on purpose. He wanted the world to know who she really was. At the very least, she got her answer.

Estelle thrummed with energy as the wind whipped around her like a mini-tornado. She let out her fire next like a second ring; earth followed, boulders floating around her with one last circle of water. She looked like she was going nuclear.

Zooming up to the fellow Cambion, she produced water tentacles from her sphere and grasped him. Thrusting him into an empty spot of land. Estelle hovered where he once did. The camera panned back to her.

"Your father was a being of destruction. I protected the people of that world, and now I will do it again by taking down his son."

The world stilled at the confirmation.

The helicopter flew backwards.

Ryah yelled out in violence and sailed towards her.

Estelle shielded him from getting any closer with the wind. Ryah abruptly stopped as if he hit a glass pane. Estelle created a large hammer out of the rocks from her sphere and struck him down again. He shot back into the earth, creating a second crater whilst he travelled through the ground. Estelle didn't waste any time and darted down. She used her body like a bolt and dived straight into him. They both impacted the crater in the soil this time. The ground vibrated from the force of the calamity. Those a hundred miles away could feel it at their feet.

To minimise the collision with the civilians, Estelle constructed walls around the area to take the impact of the blast, which quickly crumbled under pressure.

The camera panned in.

Eyes stretched.

It was genuinely shocking to see the deep hole they had created. It almost seemed like it travelled to the heart of the earth. It was calm until the two beings flew out a minute later, holding each other in a tight embrace as they exchanged jabs. They pounded each other's faces on the muddy ground. It was a brutal back and forth as neither side refused to give up. Estelle created a hardened sword from the steel within the earth and struck a blow. Blood came out of Ryah's mouth when Estelle's sword pierced his side.

Ryah created his own blade out of bone. His arm lifted up to oppose but was tied down by the vines Estelle produced. Taking the opportunity, Estelle instantly covered him in vines from head to toe. She swiftly glimpsed All Might, raising his fist up into the air in victory and smiled.

Ryah knew he was failing. He barked frantically as he tried to move anything that would help him break out of the prison Estelle had formed. The only thing he managed to do was bite the vines at his mouth in his desperation.

"You have to let me go. I can show you the breach between the worlds. You'll be lost forever without me," Ryah bartered as he wiggled in his jail.

"When have I never felt lost? I can live with that. I'll locate it without you."

"Can you live with the fact the bridge will be unmanned at the gate? The spirits. They'll come crashing in. This world will resent you."

"Your words hold fake promises."

"You're right, my dear Estelle. They do."

Estelle's side thrummed with a dull ache which caused her to glance down.

Blood.

A thin spike of bone had shot out from the terrain behind her and pierced her side. He had managed to twitch his fingers.

He let out a bone-chilling laugh.

"Even though I couldn't send you elsewhere to prolong your suffering. The very least I could do...Is watch your death! Let the darkness take over you, Estelle. Feel the sweet relief of death. Embrace it!"

Estelle dropped to her knees as she began to weaken. Her mind clouded at an inhuman rate, and she inwardly discerned that he didn't have one power. He had two. He had another ability of his fathers, the power of persuasion.

The memories of her life ran through her mind like a clouded farewell. His words soothed her to relax to the creeping cold feeling showering over her. She smiled slightly when she saw Nona, Kota and Class 1A.

'At least they would be okay.

Wait. No. They wouldn't.'

Estelle's eyes snapped back open at the realisation. If she was going to die, she couldn't let Ryah live. Because then they would die. Estelle couldn't have that.

The world screamed for her, their hope dimming at the loss they could see happening on the screen. They all saw how powerful he was. All Might couldn't fight anymore; the heroes had failed earlier. Estelle was their only hope right now. The world saw her capabilities and knew they desperately needed it right now.

Estelle raised her steel blade and scoffed loudly. She slumped from her knees to land on top of the vine-covered male. As she contemplated at the green, she grumbled, "Well, if I'm going to die. Then at least we can do, is die together."

"What!?"

The sword penetrated him through the vine.

"I am the only one who can defeat you. Just like I was the only one who could defeat your father. I will not leave this world with you in it. These people deserve better than that."

"Heh. Always the hero," Ryah muttered.

His body faded and turned to dust; the grey flecks flew between the vines and floated up into the atmosphere. The vines once covering his body fell flat onto the ground. Estelle still lounged on top.

Turning her body around, she lay on her back to stare at the sky. The smoke of the fire tainted her view of the stars.

The camera panned in.

Estelle raised her hand in victory.

The world cheered.

Estelle languidly slumped, her hand lowering to the ground in her fatigue.

Her eyes began to close.

'I hope that I get to be a star. That sounds nice. I could keep watch over Nona, Kota and the fucking annoying Class 1A.'

Heroes rushed to the scene.

The world was hushed in their prayers, wishing that she would be okay.
