Many Encounters

Estelle made her way to class since it was the start of the new semester. She was one of the last to arrive since she had slept in from the late night. Strangely, when Estelle walked out the door, Bakugo stood at the entrance with a wrapped package. Walking up to him, the blonde slammed the tub into her hands before storming away.

Curiously, Estelle opened up the wrapped tub to find a bento sitting inside.

'He made this? for me? But why?' Estelle questioned, utterly confused. When she turned around to ask, Bakugo had already disappeared.

Walking up to the class with a hidden smile. Estelle overheard Monoma talking from ahead. "We all passed; we pulled ahead of you big shots."

"I'm sorry. It is my fault." Todoroki muttered to his class.

"They are the ones turning it into a competition. It's no big deal." Kirishima reassured the upset male.

"According to our teacher, Mr Vlad. We'll have classes together this semester!" Estelle heard the girl from the other class squeal in a sweet voice. Estelle hated it.

"Touch me, and I'll kill ya like your momma doesn't know ya!"

Nevermind. Estelle loved it.

"Hey, we're trying to get through back here", Estelle heard Shinsou's voice ring out.

"Apologies! Everyone move; we are clogging up the hallways!" Iida shouted out. Estelle groaned at his words.

"I honestly can't believe how uncool you are", Shinsou declared back. Estelle held back her voice of agreement.

"Are we sure this is the same guy that fought Midoriya? I didn't realise how much he bulked up," Sero muttered.

"To be fair, we had more important things going on when he was at the gym", Jiro affirmed back.

"That's true."

Shinsou ignored their words and kept walking until he reached the spot next to Estelle. Gazing down at her softly, the class watched his back as he uttered a few words.

"Hey kitten, you okay?"

"Yeah."

"Good. I'll see you at lunch." He responded before giving a slow one-armed hug. Estelle held a faint blush that the others could not see due to her embarrassment from being watched. Shinsou chucked, well aware of her reaction and continued walking. Giving a small wave as he left.

Estelle pointedly ignored Ashido's gasp and words, "You said you guys weren't friends! But you're hugging each other!?"

Estelle stood with the majority of the class and school outside in front of a stage. The UA faculty stood to begin their announcements.

"Hey there! It's the adorable small mammal you all know and love, the principal. You may have noticed the fur I'm so proud of has deteriorated in quality. I haven't been taking care of it. This is something that can happen with humans, too. Even if you eat a balanced diet, you won't have a main of luscious locks unless you're getting lots of sleep! That's the secret. Disturbances in your sleeping pattern are terrible for your hair."

'Sounds like I'm failing miserably.' Estelle thought before tuning out his ramblings for a moment.

"We lost a pillar of hope. We were visited by a foreign entity. The ramifications of which have appeared faster than we had hoped. There are likely to be even more chaos throughout our world shortly. In particular, this will be most apparent for those in the hero course. The hero work studies for those in the second and third years will need to be approached with caution. Rest assured, the teachers at UA are doing everything possible to lessen the burden on your shoulders."

Estelle glared at the students who looked over at her. The watchful eyes bore down at her, and she did everything to hold back her snarls. Some of their looks were innocent, but it was the ones who sneered at her that got her gears turning. It wasn't like she wanted to be here.

"Now, we will hear from our guidance counsellor." Vlad king announced before stepping back from the microphone.

"Yesterday. Two students," the teacher forced out angrily before submitting to his angry growls. Estelle couldn't keep back her light chuckles at the absurdity of it all as the students around her sweatdropped at the teacher and female in the crowd.

"All right, as you just heard. Two students were fighting last night. I know you're not used to life in the dorms, but let's all be more respectful to one another."

Estelle snorted, her chuckles continuing at the pointless speech from Hound Dog.

Estelle didn't go to class since it was focused on English. Rather than attend, Estelle patrolled to handle spirits before meeting Shinsou for lunch. Estelle promptly went back out to work soon after, Shinsou's parting words ringing out in her brain as she did so.

"You came back just to see me? I'm touched; you say that we aren't friends."

They aren't.

Estelle was starting to have a hard time believing that herself. Why didn't she just leave him for lunch? Estelle needed to get back home as soon as possible. This wasn't good, not at all. Estelle cursed the fact she was living in the dorms with her classmates. It was so much more difficult to be detached when you see them all the time. It's why Estelle appreciated the fact she had spirit work, even though she despised them. It was better than forming deeper attachments to her class.

She hated to admit it, but there was an attachment. A weak one. How else would they have managed to convince her to stay? Estelle just had to make sure that the distance would not close. They would get hurt. She would get hurt. Attachments always ended the same way, with Estelle lost and alone by the end of it. More than she already was.

But then why does she somewhat forget that when near them?

At that thought, Estelle realised it had reached the end of the school day. Flying back to the dorms, Estelle was met by the sight of her classmates convening in the common room.

"In just one day! I've been completely left behind! That's what your thinking, right, House Arrest?"

Estelle snorted at the position Iida's body was in whilst he said those words. It was as if he was about to lay down some taekwondo.

"Hey! Don't call me that; that's mean! Hey, Iida, what's a work-study?"

"Something I can't tell you about. The teachers have forbidden us from telling you any details about our classes."

"Ah, Iida. Stop being so uptight. They said no such thing to me," Estelle piped up, taking a sweet from the bowl on the table. It was sugertime today and Estelle wasn't going to waste the opportunity of eating the delicious goodies.

"I forbid you. As a student of UA, you must follow the words of our teachers."

Estelle yawned in answer.

"Sorry, you'll just have to experience the same shock and surprise the class went through. Did you catch that? Bakugo?"

"Shut your mouth! I heard you, Four Eyes."

Estelle smirked at the annoyed undercurrent of the blonde's words.

"All right! Spill it! What are work studies, Lioness!?" Bakugo yelled in eagerness hidden within his furious yelling.

"Oh, was I not supposed to follow the class rep's advice?" Estelle asked with mock horror.

"Aw, shut it! Like you have listened to him before. Come on, tell me."

Estelle smirked up at the boy from the sofa. She was surprised he was even still awake as it was later in the evening, and he usually disappeared early. She suspected he had been waiting for the opportunity to ask her.

"Hm, give me a second to think about it."

"Grr!" Bakugo grumbled in frustration. Estelle figured she had tortured him enough when his fingers started to twitch in the silence.

"Alright, fine. Since you made me a delicious lunch, it's like internships but better. You do more realistic hero work. Happy?"

"And do we get to do them?"

"Not sure; there are talks about it happening. But no concrete answer yet."

"What else did I miss?"

"I'm not sure. I was only there for the first hour; I left to patrol for spirits."

"Tch. This is so annoying."

"Hmm, should have left the fighting then, huh, Ruby?"

"Shut up. Tch, why are you up anyway?" Bakugo asked as he grabbed two water bottles from the counter; Estelle gazed at him in wonder when he lifted one up for her to take. Nodding to him in thanks when she took the bottle, Estelle explained.

"I'm going on patrol soon."

"Why do you even patrol? UA have people watching all the time," Bakugo asked curiously whilst he took a seat next to Estelle.

"You think we could trust that? After all the attacks we've had?" Estelle retorted back, eyeing the space next to her before flicking to the couches around the room.

"You're paranoid."

"No. Just cautious."

"Tch, paranoid."

"Shut it, Ruby."

Estelle joined Class 1A at Mr Aizawa's request for class the next day. She was tired from the late night yesterday as she had spent time with Bakugo watching cooking shows before leaving for patrols. She wasn't sure how she ended up in that position, but she was heavily amused by his angry commentating over the television.

"Why the fuck are they all so slow? My non-existent turtle could chop faster than that!"

"There's not enough fucking spices! Buncha weaklings! What are you cooking? Boring shit, that's what!"

"Lioness, if you think that looks tasty. Then you're fucking delusional! My cooking is way better than that!"

"No, no, no! You put the milk in slowly! You'll have disgustingly lumpy custard! Gahhh, screw you! Die!"

Estelle found herself fighting a constant grin as she watched Bakugo get pent up over dull cooking shows. It was the most absurd and strange experience she had witnessed so far. Thinking about it later, Estelle figured that was why she had stuck around and sat through the entire debacle. She was surprised the blonde never received a single noise complaint from the classmates upstairs.

Nevertheless, Estelle's show (Basically Bakugo having a rage fit at the TV) was over, and Estelle headed out for patrols. At that, Bakugo and Estelle parted ways with a grumble on both sides since they were worn out from the unexpected late night they shared together.

Estelle was interrupted from her memories of the previous evening when the classroom door opened. Her eyes widened slightly at the new arrivals to the class, and she groaned loudly. This was not what she wanted or expected today.

It was the three third year's who had attempted to make friends with her. Estelle had only realised when witnessing them that she had not conversed with them since her identity had been revealed. She could only hope they wouldn't be as questioning as the last time she spent with them. The trio had visited her at the beanery, the blonde at their lead. Their attempt at making friends was unsuccessful, but Estelle did agree to a fight so that they would leave her be. She regretted it soon after as it made them want to be her buddy even more.

"Get to it, introduce yourselves briefly. Let's start with Amajiki."

Estelle snorted silently when she saw the look on the male's face. He looked up to the class with a broad stare that caused the rest of her classmates to lean back in slight fear. Estelle counted down the seconds for when his resolve would break.

"It's no good. You two go. I just can't," Tamaki started as his body began to tremor.

'There he is.'

"Even if I try to imagine them as potato's, I can see their human bodies. I know that their still people. No words are coming out. My mind blanks, and my mouth is dry. I can't say anything; I wanna go home," Tamaki continued before facing the wall. Estelle let out another snort that rung out in the classroom. The poor boy said his thoughts out loud.

"Okay, um, are you really one of UA's top heroes?" Ojiro asked in confusion.

"Hah! Come on, Amajiki, you need to have a heart of a lion and not a kitten. Even though your human, get what I mean?" Nejire asked as she turned to Tamaki with a laugh. Finally, the female turned towards the class and introduced the three standing in front of the classroom.

"Hey, wait, hold on. Why are you wearing a mask? Are you sick? Or trying to look cool?" Nejire asked Shoji.

"Uh, well."

"Oh! Woah! You must be Todoroki, am I right? How did you get that big burn on your face?"

"That's none of your-"

"And Ashido, if your horns break off, you'll think you'll grow new ones? Oooh, can you wiggle them?"

"Oh! Estelle! Good to see you again! You should really hang out with us more! We missed you! Especially since you never told us you were an alien? How did that happen? Do you secretly have green skin under there?"

"Shut up."

'They know Estelle?'

"Okay! Asui, you're a tree frog? Not a gross toad, right!? There's so much I want to know about everyone! Hey Ojiro..."

"This is completely irrational", Aizawa stated, his eyes and hair lighting up.

"Oh, there's no need for you to worry, EraserHead. I'm up next, and I'll get them refocused. The future is going to be..." Mirio shouted at the end, his hand on his ear for the class to speak up.

The class stayed mute. Estelle snorted once again at the fail.

"Going to be what?" A classmate finally asked.

"Awful! Man, my call and response totally failed!"

Estelle deadpanned whilst she watched Mirio speak his thoughts aloud about the class sitting in front of him. Finally, he shouted, "New plan! You are all going to fight me at once!"

Estelle slumped in her seat. Hell no; she was not doing this.
