Chapter 17

WFMC (Weekend Flying and Magic Class) Part 1

Valerie was so delighted that Keesha, DA, Phoebe and Wanda were able to transform into fairies like her, with the help of Bike of course! She lied in bed that night looking up towards the ceiling with Goldie gazing up at her from her pet bed "What a day Goldie! We will all be able to fit in now!" she quietly says to the monkey "Wonder what tomorrow will bring!".

It was morning and Valerie rose with the sun. Goldie was still fast asleep in her little bed snoring away. From the moment she jumped out of bed she was high spirits. Today was Saturday and she had arranged a day of very special classes for herself and DA, Wanda, Phoebe and Keesha. It was going to be a day of Weekend Flying & Magic Classes or WFMC how she liked to call it.

First stop was to the infirmary, she was delighted to hear from Nurse Ofelia that her sling was due to come off her arm "Could this day get even better" she said to herself as she left the infirmary thanking the Nurse for all she had done. Her arm was feeling good as new and her observations were right, her arm was healing nicey and how it should.

How did she know that? It was thanks to a special Field Trip the day before. After getting many questions from the students about her injury, Valerie decided to show them rather then just telling them. Allowing them find it out for themselves, Bike took them all on a journey as they studied blood cells, bone cartlidge and how the human body repairs itself without the use of magic. Even providing them with special scuba suits, so they could explore deeper. Valerie of course stayed behind and observed the Field Trip through a special ipad (The Mini Magic Bike Console). Hearing the ewww's and the ahhh's were quite normal to her.

Second stop was to do some tinkering on Bike, she wanted to figure out a way of giving herself and the others magic. Being human fairies who can just fly with the aid of wings and nice outfits just wasn't enough for her. When it was time, Valerie ordered Bike to downsize and became a pendant once again around her neck. Valerie had arranged to meet up with Keesha, DA, Wanda and Phoebe in the courtyard.

"Professor Frizzle! There you are, we haven't seen you all morning!" DA cries out as Valerie enters the courtyard "Sorry girls, i've been busy all morning as you can see!" Valerie responds while waving with her now mended arm. All 4 girls were delighted that she had recovered and was back to normal "Now then without any fuss, let's get straight into WFMC!" Valerie immediately cried out with her hands on her hips. The girls couldn't help but notice her flower shaped earrings light up and along with her pendant.

"WFMC?" Phoebe asked in confusion before Valerie explained that she made it up and stood for Weekend Flying & Magic Class. Phoebe understood once she explained "Oh ha ha!" she says in laughter. "Now then, before we get our wings, just would like to experiment first!" Valerie explains to the group "Lets all sit in the grass and form a circle", everyone went and sat in the grass as instructed "I thought we were going to have fairy training today?" Wanda asks in confusion.

Valerie smiles and giggles as she knew how impatient Wanda could be "Oh just you wait Wanda, now then before we grow wings i want you all to close your eyes and focus on the 4 stones i am placing in the middle of our circle" Valerie began explaining "Why would you like us to do that Professor Frizzle?" Keesha asks raising her hand.

Again Valerie smiles after placing the stones on the ground added a fifth one for herself "I want to see if any magic channels through us while we are still human, like how the fairies here can use magic even without their wings!" Valerie tells Keesha. Suddenly a voice comes creeping up "Beginning with the basic's i see?", everyone turned to see that it was Roxy.

Valerie welcomed her along with DA, Wanda, Keesha and Phoebe into the circle as she was fasinated as to what they were up to and offered to assist if need be. She even offered Roxy to take over and teach them the basics. Roxy happily agreed "Ok...see how we go!" she says to the group. She picked a flower from nearby and instructed then to focus "Think into your deepest parts of your body, try make your stones bigger, feel the magic flowing within you and point towards the stone" Roxy peacefully tells them.

Seconds ticked by "I'm feeling nothing!" DA explains, "Neither am i!" Phoebe adds. Roxy just tells them all to keep trying. "You keep at it class!" Valerie shouts although she couldn't feel anything ethier. More seconds went by and Valerie decided to stop and open her eyes again. Roxy who had also had her eyes closed opened hers at the same time.

Valerie noticed that Roxy's flower was now larger then it was originally "Did you do that?" she asked the purple haired girl "I'm afraid so!" Roxy answers slowly rather hoping that it hadn't been her. Keesha, DA, Phoebe and Wanda all open their eyes and were disappointed that nothing had happened to their stones. Valerie hated seeing disapointment and was still determined to see if any of them could weild magic.

"Right then, its time for action, time for an advance class!" Valerie stated as she got up from the ground "We are magic-less while we are our humansleves but maybe as fairies we might...", Wanda interupts excitedly "So does that mean we transform now?". Then without further all do, before any of the girls except Roxy could change their mind and run away from the circle, Valerie placed her hand on the pendant and whispered gentley to it "Bike, do your fairy stuff!".

Five tubes of light went towards each person trapping them in for their transformation while Roxy watch it unfold. She still couldn't work out how it was even possible for a Magical Bike to be. Ever since she found out she was a fairy, things haven't been as they seem since! In seconds the transformation process was over and Roxy was now in the presents of five fairies "We're fairies again! Our outfits are so pretty!" Phoebe shouted happily.

"I have a great suggestion, how about going to Lake Roccaluce for flying and magic, that way you'll have more space to practice!" Roxy happily suggested, Valerie who turned towards her commended her on her great suggestion "What a wonderful idea!" before asking her if she would like to join in. Roxy smiled before suddenly transforming into her fairy form. Within seconds a burst of green light shoun towards the group shortly before they heard Roxy's voice saying "Fairy of Animals!". The transformation sequence ended and now in their presents was a beautiful Enchantix Fairy "Thought you'd never ask! Let's go! Roxy says to the group.

With a flutter of her wings, began to hover in the air. Valerie leaped into the air and did the same while the rest of the group remained on the ground "Time for your flying lesson girls!" Valerie said cheerfully. Keesha, DA and Phoebe all seemed a bit nervous except for Wanda who immediately wanted to get into it. She closed her eyes and took a big leap into the air, within in seconds her wings began to flutter helping her to fly "Come on your weasley wimps!" she shouted.

Next was Keesha, who did the same and managed to keep herself stable in the air. Valerie watched in delight for their enthusiasm as Wanda and Keesha flew around with Roxy but noticed that Phoebe and DA were still a little nervous and still had their feet firmly on the ground. She flew down towards them "Come on girls, what's wrong? Just feel the connection to your wings and leap!" she tells them gentlely "Here take my hand!".

DA smiled at Valerie and slowly took her hand while Phoebe held onto DA's other hand. Suddenly, there was a squeak from Phoebe, she hadn't realised that Roxy had taken her other hand "Let's take chances! Make Mistakes and Get Messy!" Valerie shouts her signature catchphase, "We will take it slow!" Roxy quietly whispers with a friendly smile to Phoebe and DA.

Valerie, DA, Phoebe and Roxy all slowly jumped from the ground to join Keesha and Wanda who were having the time of their lives! "Remain having that connection with those wings everyone!" Valerie tells the group shortly before she let go of DA's hand typically without warning. DA hadn't said anything but kept holding Phoebe's hand so they could support each other. Roxy was a little shocked that Valerie had done that. She was also shocked how Phoebe and DA didn't freak out when that happened as she remained holding Phoebe's other hand.

Valerie took lead with everyone flying behind her going into teacher mode. She even started to get a little snappy and told DA and Phoebe that if they keep holding each others hands, they will not learn to fly on their own. "Was she like this when she taught you guys?" asked Roxy to DA and Phoebe "Yep but she means well!" DA explained to Roxy.

"There was never a teacher quite like her at any of the old schools i went too!" Phoebe said to Roxy. Roxy lifted an eyebrow "Oh? How many different elementry and high schools did you go too?" she asks in concern "Oh quite a few! I even went back to my first old school once! You see my father is blind and we had to move around a lot due to his condition as it had worsed over the years..." answers Phoebe. Roxy apologized "I'm so sorry...does he have a guide dog to help him?", "Yes he gone one just recently and they are just only getting to know each other" Phoebe tells the animal fairy.

Valerie had heard them chattering "Ladies!" she shouted, Roxy looked over towards Valerie and nodded then back towards DA and Phoebe "I'm going to let you go now!" she gentley tells them "Time to fly!". She let go of Phoebe's hand slowly and Phoebe and DA looked at each shortly before parting with each other "Let's go for it!" DA shouts "That's the spirit DA!" Valerie happily shouts to DA.

"Ok, here it goes" Phoebe shouted and in seconds she was flying by herself along with DA joining Keesha and Wanda who applauded. "This is amazing!" Phoebe cried, "I feel so much power in these wings!" Keesha then states "Being a fairy rules!" Wanda cries. Valerie smiled as she continued to lead them to Lake Roccaluce while Roxy flew behind making sure to catch anyone if they began to fall "Lake Roccaluce right ahead! Prepare for landing!" she shouted in excitement!
