Chapter 18

WFMC (Weekend Flying & Magic Class) Part 2

"Work in progress! Well done girls you have completed your first flying lesson!" Valerie told everyone as they landed. "What a beautiful place!" Valerie hear Phoebe's voice admiring the location, Valerie turned to face the girl and agreed with her that Lake Roccaluce was indeed beautiful. She then wasting no time declared to everyone that it was time for a magic class and to remain transformed, Keesha began to whisper to her friends "How do we change back?". Valerie heard it and was ignoring it for now.

Roxy said this reminded her of when the Winx were teaching her how to use her magic back on Earth in Gardenia when she found out she was a fairy. Valerie suggested for Roxy to tell the story as it might inspire everyone to connect with magic. As everyone sat in a circle in the grass, all more amazed by Roxy's story. Valerie was looking down at her pendant Bike rubbing it gentley, she could make out a tiny wink from Bike as it glowed.

When Roxy's story ended, she immediately tells everyone to close their eyes and put out their hands like they were to hold sometiming. "Ok everyone concerntrate! Feel magic following inside of you and unleash your power within!" Valerie tells everyone as she did the same. Roxy watched as with in seconds mini sources of magic lit up in DA's, Keesha's, Wanda's and Phoebe's palms "That's it girls, keep going! Keep your mind on it!" she tells them encouragingly.

More seconds went by and the balls of magic from everyone's hands got bigger "I feel my hand getting warm!" DA says while having her eyes still closed "I feel something too, when do we get to open our eyes Professor Frizzle?" Phoebe asks politely. Valerie smiled and quickly tells them that they can open their eyes now "You may open them now!".

"WWWOOOOOOWWWWW!" was the word that came from DA's, Phoebe's, Keesha's and Wanda's mouths as they quickly opened their eyes in amazement. DA asked why everyone's magic was a different colour Roxy jumped in to answer the question "Everyone's fairy power is different, it can come in all kinds of colours but normally the colours determine what kind of magic you have and what kind of fairy you are...". Roxy puts out her right hand and green coloured magic began sourcing from it, "But in this circumstance...because your fairy powers are sourced...from a...Magical Motor Bike...the situation could be different!" Roxy adds in an unsure voice.

Valerie puts her hand down causing the magic to stop flowing from her hand walks over to Roxy. She places one hand on the girls shoulder and calmly tells her that anything is possible "Wherever there is a will, there's a way! Fairy of Animals!". "Ah...Professor Frizzle!" a voice cried and Valerie turned around to see who it was coming from.

She noticed that it was coming from Phoebe. Everyone had stopped doing magic of their own to crowd and watch Phoebe as her source of magic was getting bigger and brighter. It lit up like a ball of fire. Phoebe was smilng as she held the magic in her arms like she was holding a pickle jar with one hand on the top and the other on the bottom. Everyone watched in slience as she knelt down on both knees.

"Well done Phoebe! Take a small break now thats the girl!" Valerie said as she congratulated her "Now then everyone, let's try and do what Phoebe is doing back to it!". Keesha, Wanda and DA were now very keen to try it themsleves to see if they can produce a ball of magic like Phoebe's.

Within the circle everyone was putting their arms and hands out to see if they could produce some magic. Roxy suggested that maybe to try and do some magic on an object. She then remembered some of the basic spells that she was taught when she first came to Alfea like enlargeing and blooming spells "Try making these flowers bloom guys!" Roxy asks the group.

Everyone had a go and almost immediately they made the flowers bloom and then made some rocks grow bigger and smaller "Lets have a break everyone and de-transform!" Valerie suggested placing her hand on Pendant Bike. Wanda, Keesha, DA and Phoebe all sat on a grassy patch by the lake all puffed out. Valerie went to join them and suggested that Roxy shows off her animals powers.

Roxy who had de-transformed by to her normal human appearance smiled "Alright sure!" she answers to Valerie. She started with an animal call spell, then making a duck talk and then reading its mind. While Keesha, DA, Phoebe and Wanda were watching in amazement, Valerie looked over her shoulder and noticed Daphne meters away staring at the Lake.

The blonde haired Princess and Professor stood ever so still at the edge of the lake, Valerie wanted if she was frozen. Valerie began walking towards her quietly adnd slowly "Good Afternoon Daphne!" she said softly. Daphne jumped but immediately spoke to Valerie "Oh! Good Afternoon Valerie! How are you? I was just...ah...deep in thought!", Valerie smiled "You don't have to explain, i just wondered if you were ok!" she asked the girl.

Daphne looked out towards the lake again before looking back at the red headed Professor "Maybe a story for another day! So your doing some training i see?" she quietly asked. Valerie still felt concerned whether Daphne was ok or not but agreed to life her alone and let her tell the story (if she really has one) some other time when she is ready.

"Yes we are and the girls are doing so well, care to join us?" Valerie asked Daphne, "Ok" Daphne simply answered before following Valerie back to the group. Roxy had been sitting down and chatting amongst everyone waiting for Valerie to return. "I've got an idea, shall we practice some flying?" Daphne asked the group shortly before she made an obstacle magically appear over the lake with just a wave of her hand.

"WOW what's that?" Wanda shouted, Daphne smiled at Wanda and explained that its a very simple junior basic obstacle course to test their flying skills. It was just like a normal obstacle course you would find on the ground only but in the air. There was a range of what looked like hula hoops, booms, walls and tunnels floating in the air "As you are all beginners there will be no fire in this one!" Daphne explained, "FIRE!" Keesha, DA, Phoebe and Wanda all screamed together.

Valerie giggled at her ex-students reaction where as Daphne seemed a little confused but remained quiet before giving a small smile. "So who's first?" Valerie shouts as she looks towards her ex-students. Wanda decided to go first "Ummmm Professor Frizzle how are we to get up there? Are we to use magic or wings?" she asks, "Oh how silly of me, we cannot transform by ourselves! Bus do you stuff!" Valerie commanded and everyone but Roxy and Daphne transformed.

Roxy and Daphne sat together in the grass as they watched 5 humans disappear into colourful balls of light. In seconds the balls of light disappeared and they were in the presents of 5 human fairies once again "Perfect!" Daphne said "I'll time you all, Wanda off you go...now!". Wanda trying out her new wings again began the course, then Phoebe, DA and Keesha. They all did completed the course in under 5 minutes in flying colours, Daphne explained that with practice they will get faster and congratulated them for not falling into the lake!

Then it was Valerie's turn, she flew through it in 1 minute leaving Keesha, DA, Phoebe and Wanda feeling a bit annoyed. Daphne and Roxy were both shocked for a first timer "Guess i'm a natural when it comes to all types of flying!" Valerie simply told them. Daphne turned to Keesha, DA, Phoebe and Wanda as she noticed that they looked guttered "Don't worry girls a bet you soon will be even faster then your old Professor!" she says to them trying to lift their spirits.

With Daphne's kind words the 4 girls seemed to be happier as their frowns quickly turned into smiles as they thanked her for the encouragement. Roxy shortly gets up and says that she is going back to Alfea while said she would join her. "Thank you Roxy, Thank you Professor Daphne for your exberties today! You have been a great help!" Valerie said joyfully as she thanked the 2 girls.

Both Roxy and Daphne began to head back and Valerie turned round to face Keesha, Wanda, Phoebe and DA who were left behind and suggested they do the same also "I think we have done enough practice today, we should return to Alfea too!". They all agreed and thanked their old Professor for the lessons today as they began the slow walk back to Alfea admiring their surroundings of tall pine trees, fairy animals and pixies flying around "Such a wonderful magical place!" Phoebe commented.

Valerie congratulated them for all their hard work today and achievements but could sense their was something bothering them but she kepted walking. She knew them all too well, she wanted to wait until they came to her. Suddenly a voice piked up "Professor Frizzle?" DA's voice was heard "Yes DA?" Valerie quickly responded "Um just a question when i or we were transforming there was a voice...".

Author's Note: Next Chapter we will find out that Bike has granted Valerie and her ex-students a certain power much to Valerie's surprise and delight. Tried to make this chapter similar to when the Winx were training Roxy back in Gardenia in Season 4.
