Chapter 24
Inside the Orb
"I've really done it know!" Valerie whispers to herself feeling to erge to cry "Me crying, now doesn't happen to often!". Still feeling like she was hovering in the air with her eyes closed, she could feel tears forming around her eyes and begin to drip down her cheeks. Valerie didn't want to see what had happened but she knew she had to be strong and face her worst fears.
"Ok Valerie, your strong then this!" she said to herself as she began to open her eyes. With tears still running down her face she looks around and everthing was a opal colour like she was trapped inside an orb. She was still in her fairy form, she looked down at her long green puffy dress and magenta ballet pumps. She was floating, only this time it wasn't her wings that were helping her fly it was the magic from Bike. "I'm in! Success! Well done Bike!" she quietly says to Bike who had successfully asorbed her inside it "But it doesn't change what ever has happened!".
Valerie begins crying again "Don't cry Professor Frizzle!" she hears a voice! She gasped and froze. "Don't worry Professor Frizzle we're here!" other voice piped up. Valerie hearing the voices that came from behind her began to turn herself around and in her presents was Wanda, Keesha, Phoebe and DA! "Girls!" wiping away her tears "My beautiful little fairies! Your, your here! How...what happened?" she asked them feeling very relieved to see them and that they hadn't been harmed. They too were in their fairy forms.
Valerie couldn't help notice that the Portashrinker was still in Wanda's hands "When your shield appeared..." Phoebe began to say feel turning to face Wanda, Keesha and DA. They started to continue the story beginning with Wanda "and when we were shrinking you down...", "Darcy spotted us and fired at us!" DA said, "and while she did that, the power from the Portashrinker backfired causing us to be in the line of fire!" Keesha added.
Valerie begins to smile "Excellent great to see that my Portashrinker is still in one piece! Do go on!" using her teachers voice, Phoebe spoke first again while observing her surroundings "and so here we are, are we inside? What's making us float?", "It's like we are in space!" Wanda added. "Yes Phoebe and yes Wanda! We are inside Bike and its kind of like we are in space isn't it! Now let's see ah this should do it!" Valerie answered to her just before she clicked her fingers.
Suddenly the opal coloured surroundings turned into what looked like a window. She couldn't help but hear the amazements coming from Keesha, Phoebe, Wanda and DA "WOOOOWWW!" they all said together.
"Girls, may i welcome you all to the Orb!" she informs them as they all continue to float and looked out the window. DA goes to touch the window "Amazing! Its like a real glass window!" she says "Right you are DA!" Valerie acknowledges her. They all lookout and notice the events that are happening outside. Alfea was still in battle with the Trix " Oh bad, bad, oh bad bad bad! Are we now trapped in here Professor Frizzle?" Keesha asked Valerie.
Valerie smiled and places her hand on Keesha's shoulder "Don't worry Keesha we will be able to get out! My plan obviously didn't quite go to plan at first and now that you are all here which i am delighted, you all will be able to assist me in teaching those witches a lesson! Right now we just need to remain hidden until the right time comes!" she explained very calmly to the girls.
"So what happens now? If Bike is still in pendant form it will get stolen with all of us inside!" DA shouts, "My plan exactly DA!" Valerie answers to the blonded girl. Suddenly they felt their surroundings move around, like they were on an airplane. They all manage to look at the window and notice they had a large face looking at them. "Oh no! It's Icy! We've been captured!" Phoebe shouts placing her hands on her cheeks "Shhhh Phoebs! She'll hear us or worst see us!" Wanda answers back to her.
"Oh don't worry Wanda! This orb is totally sound and vision proof! We can hear and see everything that's going on from the inside, where as those on the outside cannot see or hear anything!" Valerie explains. Wanda quickly answers back "Wow Coooooolllll!", "So what is Icy currently seeing?" Keesha asks. "What she is seeing is what you saw when i was wearing Bike around my neck, just a normal looking pendant!" Valerie tells Keesha.
The Orb started to move around again and everyone went to the window to have a look to see what has going on outside. What they saw was they were in the hands of Icy who was waving it around. Valerie, Keesha, Phoebe, Wanda and DA were being thrown around inside, "Ah should we maybe be strapped into something? DA shouts "Use your wings to control yourselves girls!" Valerie shouted.
Everyone listened to her and began to fly with the help of their wings on their backs. "Thank goodness for these wings!" Phoebe stated. "Sisters! Look what i have found! We can leave now!" Icy's voice was heard from the outside. Everyone on the inside now saw the faces of Stormy and Darcy "Oh i was beginning to have some fun!" Stormy says.
"We have no business here now! Now that this pendant is now in our hands!" Icy tells Stormy ending with an evil laugh "But what about that human fairy and her puny human friends!" Darcy adds. "Faragonda must've used a spell to make them disappear!" Icy answers to Darcy "Now lets go ladies!". From what Valerie, DA, Keesha, Wanda and Phoebe could see it looked like Icy was placing Bike Pendant around her neck. "How come you get to wear it!" they hear Stormy ask Icy as they fly to towards where their quarters were.
"Where are they taking us?" DA asks, "Possibly to Cloud Tower! Isn't this exciting girls!" Valerie answered "You mean the school for witches?" Keesha asks "Yep!" Valerie answers to Keesha. Valerie hadn't told them much about Cloud Tower for Witches as the orginal plan was for Keesha, DA, Phoebe and Wanda were to come for a short time but now she thought that now was a good time to explain the witch school.
"Well everyone lets all crowd around, now that we are playing the waiting game prehaps its a good time for me to explain to you all about Cloud Tower and its inhabitants!" Valerie began to explain, "I heard that its not a pleasant place!" Phoebe tells Valerie. Valerie wondered how she knew that "No its not well from what i heard, who or where did you here that from?" she asked the brunette girl. Phoebe as well as DA, Wanda and Keesha all explained that they had heard chatter around Alfea.
They all floated in front of Valerie as instructed. Everyone was slient unitl Valerie decided to break the ice "or shall we practise our powers while i talk about Cloud Tower?" thats when Keesha, DA, Wanda and Phoebe all lit up "YEAH!" they all shouted.
DA then had one question "Um Professor Frizzle? How do we transform back into our normal selves?", "Yeah, i feel like i'm stuck in fairy mode! Like, like i cannot feel my human self" Wanda added. Valerie just smiled as her butterfly shapped earrings lit up, her plan was going accordingly even with 4 extra people "That's because we are stuck in fairy mode! All thanks to Bike! It's time to get the full real fairy experience girls! Time to think and act like real fairies and start to prepare for whatever lies ahead when we get out of here!".
