Not Matthew requiring his own fucking Lore. That only Tanner and Gelli knows and making everyone else fucking confused. I'll make one for him someday. It's Danny Phantom so that'll work.

Kelpy - Eaket- shortly after she came to earth - orphaned

Arsinry was swimming in the lake near her new house. When she felt more than saw a small nip on her leg. He turned and saw a small newly hatched Kelpcaf, and no full grown Kelpie nearby. Arsinry quickly made a small ball of water for the little thing. Once the Kelpcaf was in the ball Arsinry teleported back home to make sure the small thing was fine.

"Mom, Jazz, Finn, Jormed, Sephy,...anyone," They called as they appeared in their room and a glass blow forming around the water.

"Here!" Jazz's voice came from somewhere deep in the house. "Need me to come to you!" Jazz followed up quickly.

"That may help. Umm do you also happen to know about young Kelpies?" Arsinry called looking over the little one.

"Okay," Jazz said. "I'll be up in a second. Be on the bed I'm coming through the floor!" Jazz appeared not a second after Arsinry was seated.

"I didn't know mortals could do that," Arsinry stated.

"They can't," Jazz said. "What about a Kel- Ah. Gimme a sec. I'll make a call." She used her phone to send a text. Then turned to look over the kelpcalf. "Where'd you find it? Did you touch it? Did you see any sign of a mother?" Jazz wasn't panicked as she spoke, rushed maybe but not panicked. Just getting a baseline for the situation. Her tone said, I need to know these things, don't panic, I have the situation under control. It soothed Arsinry the tiniest bit.

"The lake with no other signs of more young or full grown Kelpies nearby," he said, taking a breath and trying to calm down.

"Did you touch it? Some animals will leave their young in a perceived safe place," Jazz asked, examining the creature as best she could.

"The little thing bit me, I used magic to contain it, so as not to shock it." he said.

"Okay, that should be fine, maybe," Jazz said. "I'm worried about the creatures sensing that you touched it, even with your magic. Creatures do abandon their young for things like that."

"I didn't sense anything," Arsinry said. "There wasn't any sign at all, and that lake isn't exactly big."

"It could have gotten lost via underground river ways, or a porchers came and took the rest," Jazz said, trying to see around it. "Can you turn it so I can check for injuries?" Worry was worming its way into her voice, but not panic. The calm kind of worry.

"I can," Arsinry said, doing just that, carefully turning the creature this way and that so that Jazz could check for wounds.

"No injuries, it seems to young to have gotten anything attached to it too," Jazz said. "Chances are it's egg was laid in that lake. Did you see anyone around the area?" She was tapping her fingers over her head like she was trying to physically drum up her own memories. "I don't remember seeing anyone, but…" That was more too herself so Arsinry chose to answer instead.

"No, I even put up shields, along with the brothers, no one but people living in new Asgard should be able to find the lake now," Arsinry said.

"There are other forms of magic on Midgard," Jazz said. "They may have sensed." Her phone beeped. "That's some of Coraline 1's friends they'll know more about this." She looked over the text. Then looked over the kelpie again. "I'll put up a sensory spell up to see if I can find anything." She put her hand on Arsinry's shoulder. "We'll have to get it a tank. They can sense magic so even if it did have family it'd- well. It's not your fault." She said that aggressively, pointing into Arsinry's face. "You did your best to make sure and there wasn't anything. Now we gotta take care of it. Okay. I'll call Tobas for a tank. You can feed it. Do you know what they eat?"

"Humans, but I know a few tricks to make them eat pig." He said.

"Got it." Jazz said. "Alright." Jazz said. "Ah, that's-that's good. I'll take care of the tank then, and we'll start getting it set up." Jazz said. "We don't know how long it's been and they look new so they'll need to eat a lot. I'll put an order in for that too." Jazz was working through said orders in rapid cessation, before the hour was over Arsinry was setting the kelpie into it new tank, feeding it a small mixer of blood, containing both theirs and pig.

Jazz had taken the time to make sure that the water, H2 and acid content of the water was balanced to the kelpies preferred living environment. Tobas and Matthew had come with a few other items, not just the tank. Emlin had been with them and had fussed over Arsinry. Jazz had sent Matthew and her down stair, and after Tobas had helped set up the lighting and water filters he'd excused himself to join them.

"It's clearly a you two thing, so I don't want to overstep," He'd said, slipping out. Now Jazz and her were settled on her bed watching it swim and drink it's blood mixture. Jazz gave Arsinry a pat and smiled.

"I'm glad that you found it before it starved, or ate some poor New Asgardian," Jazz said. "Wonder where it's parents are?" that was too herself mostly. "Are you okay?" This was directly to Arsinry this time.

"Yes, just not use to having someone be calm during that. Thanks." they said.

"Well, I'm glad I could help," Jazz said. "I did help right?" Arsinry snickered while nodding her head.

"Yep, let me calm down and we make sure Eaket was not harmed," she said, looking the Kelpy over for injuries.

"Alright," Jazz said. "Do you need to lie down? Want me to stay? Eaket is the Kelpie, right?"

"Yep and I'm good," he said.

"Okay," Jazz said. Settling into a comfortable silence, that stretched on for quite some time as they watched Eaket swim. There was a knock on the door.

"Just to make sure," Matthew said, from outside the door. "Are you two still alive. I'm making cookies if anyone wants some." Jazz snickered.

"We're good, and Eaket is doing fine," He said, not looking away.

"I do suggest you eat some of Matthew's cookies, one of his Alter's in a pastritier or whatever it's called. "They make really good baked goods is what I'm saying." Jazz gave Arsinry a pat on her legs. "When your ready we'll see you down stairs." Arsinry nodded. Letting their eyes watch Eaket for another few more hours.

They honestly didn't expect to find them still down there waiting.

"How's Eaket?" Matthew asked, passing them a huge mug of something steaming warm and sweet smelling, and a plate of cookies. Arsinry took it gratefully. Todas asked a few questions about how the tank was working, if it was properly waterproofed since he'd made it in a bit of a rush. It the lights were bright enough, or affecting their new charge. Arsinry felt comfortable as they began drifting in the conversation. The care of magical creatures was something the two enjoyed a great deal. Tobas even had a few recommendations of books and other items for Eaket and Bilger. Matthew had at some point braiding her hair a self soothing act that helped Arsinry calm too. Jazz made sure he ate the cookies and drank the hot mug of whatever. They were both devine. They were still talking about the kelpie and its new home when Loki came home.

"What's an Eaket?" Loki asked.

"The kelp calf I found in the lake today…Hello mother?" Arsinry said.

"Hello, daughter mine," Loki said, clearly bewildered. "Wanna run that by me again?" He asked.

***Little Skippy***

"What do you mean you found a Kelpie. Ars, what have I said about taking charge in nature. It lives or it dies. Why must you always try to help everything that you find?" Loki ranted as he looked at the new tank in Arsinry's room.

"It needed me," Arsinry said.

"Ars, you can't keep a kelpie," Loki said. "It's not our place to interfere with-"

"Then why did you marry a mortal…sorry Jazz," Arsinry said. Jazz held up her hand.

"We all spent hours setting up that tank," Tobas said, sharp and fierce.

"That is not the problem and watch your tongue about your step mother," Loki said.

"Mother, Music Man got all the paperwork done for this," Arsinry said.

"Music Man?" Loki shouted. "Really? Why are you like this?"

"Look, it's not that big a deal," Jazz said. "She already brought it home."

"You get upset when i don't call them a familiar trem, and now that there is one you're mad about it. I know if the words father, dad, pops, Mother, mom, or even mum leave my mouth and they're aimed at anyone other than you you'll go and fake your death again. So no thanks," Arsinry said.

"You literally got upset when she called me father during one of your many other argument," Jazz said. "Then you faked your death."

"That's because your not her father, your her step mother."

"She can't call her Mother and calling her step mother is a mouth full," Matthew said.

"Don't you have someone to terrify?" Loki asked.

"I'm not Pitch, bitch," Matthew said.

"It's not safe for that thing to be around the baby!" Loki said.

"The baby won't be around it!" Jazz said. "It's in an aquarium."

"And Eaket is a Kelp calf. You know a baby, or are we only using that term for being with Frost giant blood in them," he said, anger taking over a bit.

"Also uncultured Swine," Matthew said mostly under his breath.

"Matthew, don't pick a fight with him," Tobas said.

"I am going to toss that aquarium out the window," He said aquarium like it was a dirty word.

"Don't you dare!" Tobas shouted, tossing some form of Mortal magic that sent Loki through the wall. And that's how the entire family devolved into a screaming match and punch throwing. Arsinry wasn't sure when her brothers joined or how they knew what side to pick, honestly there weren't any it seemed. Eventually they; Arsinry, Thor, Loki, Jormandi, Finn, Slephi, Matthew, Tobas, and several other Asgardians that Arsinry didn't even think they knew were all laid out in the grass.

"Is everyone good?" Jazz asked.

"I'm no longer filled with hate," Matthew stated.

"If I wasn't so tired I'd still be trying to kill you," Tobas said, weakly kicking at Loki.

"I don't know how you drained my magic, but you're lucky you did." Loki grumbled back.

"Thank you for having us Misses Lofison," one of the random Asgardians said.

"Your welcome," Jazz said, very calmly. Watching the two Asgardians leave. "Anyone else?"

"What did you do, Brother?" Thor asked.

"I didn't want my daughter to adopt a kelpie," Loki answered.

"Your out voted mother, and that was not what caused the fighting," Arsinry said.

Daycare

Frisk woke to their mother having another screaming match with someone. Frisk couldn't have seen them even if they weren't inside their box. They climbed out to do some stretching, not wanting to be too stiff. Chara had mentioned that it was healthy to move around a lot as a kid. Their mommy and daddy always wanted them to be healthy.

Frisk stretched there hands up above there head and then leaned down to touch there toes, just like Chara told them was the way to be healthy. Then they walked around. Chara couldn't hear what their mother was yelling about she was too far away, but they could tell where their mother was so that helped.

"Frisk?' Chara asked.

'Yeah, Chara?' Fisk asked.

'I think she left the apartment?'' Frisk stopped mid step, holding their breath. There wasn't any noise, it was hard to tell if there mother was out or not.

'It's probably smart to stay in the closet for a bit longer,' Frisk said.

'Yeah," Chara thought back. Stretched as best they could in this situation Frisk headed back to their box to hide in relative safety. Chara starting in on another story from their time as a living person. Frisk listened carefully to the tale.

The sound settles to a low thrum, Frisk only making out their own heart beat, and Chara's gentle remembrance. Frisk pulled their clothes closer to their body. It was getting colder, which was a usual sign that it was getting later, the sun drifting down. Frisk sighed, waiting a little longer. They were just debating heading over to Missie's apartment to join her for her work when their mother came slamming into the closet. Frisk flinched. Hoping that nothing would make her more angry. She grabbed Frisks face and made them look at her. Well, more like she made it so that her whole face was covered with the black spot in Frisk's eyes.

"Listen, brat, I got a good one, and I don't need you getting in the way," She said. "This guy is a chance for us to get out of this fucking hell hole. Got it." She shoved Frisk's head down. "I don't need you fucking that up. So, I want you out. We're not close enough for us to meet each other's kids but he's had a few slip ups. That means he won't reject you, if you behave yourself." Frisk nodded. Wondering if this guy was going to break their mother's heart again. She'd gotten her hopes up a few times. "Don't give me that look," She slapped Frisk. "We should be grateful for this chance. Not squander it. I was lucky enough to get introduced to this guy through actual good means. This could change our lives. He's not rich, but I do have other skills, and I'll finally be free of this shit."

Frisk nodded. Frisk didn't think his mother deserved anything bad. She was just a kid when she was forced out on her own after all. She'd been forced to learn to survive, and people willing to help dwindling as she got older. Telling her that she shouldn't have gotten pregnant if she couldn't take care of a kid. She'd tried to get rid of Frisk before she had them, but she couldn't, and she couldn't even lessen her bad treatment because of how people veiwed her line of work. The only line of work she was good at, that she knew how to do, that she was comfortable with. It was better then stealing and conning at least sex work was actual work, but cops didn't see it that way, and because of that she'd been forced to work with nasty people who didn't care about her. She couldn't ask for help because they'd decide that she was the one in the wrong for wanting to make enough money to survive, without having to steal. Frisk hoped this wasn't going to turn out the way some of their mothers other boyfriends turned out.

They couldn't think of one that they didn't view as scum. Abandoning his mother at the first sign of trouble. Like love wasn't something they'd claimed. Like she wasn't promising to be better. Still, Frisk hoped that she'd be happy. Maybe they'd actually like them, and maybe they'd help Missie, but probably not.

"They're going to be here soon, so I want you out of the house for a few, got it?" His mother said. Frisk wanted to argue that it seemed like lying. "I'll tell him you've been in foster care while I got onto my feet or somethin'." She said waving him off. "I'll take care of it. So, scram." Frisk did just that. Scurrying past her and out the door. Missie was out at one of her many summer jobs so, Frisk had to wait outside for several hours. Staying tucked away and hidden in the protection of the bushes outside Missie's window. Frisk's stomach growled, but they were used to ignoring it. They hoped they'd get to spend the night at one of Missie's waitressing jobs. Not all of the restaurants were as nice as the diner though, so maybe not. Frisk scrubbed their arm as it grew cooler and darker. Chara was apparently in a melancholy mood herself.

Once there was a mother cat, she gave birth to several kittens as fall set in, Chara started the story. The cat wasn't in a colony and lost her owner soon after, so as winter set in she realized she would not be able to feed herself enough for her kittens to survive.

Chara I don't like this story, Frisk told her. I don't like that she had to kill her kittens, because she couldn't protect them. It's sad.

I'm sorry, Chara said. I don't know why I was in the mood to tell that story. Chara said.

Your thinking about aren't you? Frisk complained. Fine, go a head.

So, the mother cat realized that there wouldn't be enough food for her, and she was getting weaker. She thought, 'if I die my kitten's will die too,' so she waited until they were alseep. Kissed each good-bye and then ate them. Cracking each kitten's neck before swallowing them. Chara thought sadly. Then the mother cat wept for her kittens. That she couldn't protect them and provide for them.

Do you think my mom is like that? Frisk asked.

Human's are supposed to be pack animals, Chara said, But maybe this is the nature of creatures that are left alone. The weak devour the weaker.

That's sad, Frisk said.

Missie's here? Chara said, smiling a bit. Frisk scurried out of the bush rather than wait there for Missie to open her window.

"F-k, w-t -r- ou- d-ng?" Missie's barely audible voice said. Frisk waved, then signed that their mother wanted them out of the house so they could seduce a man. "F- r-l?"

For real? Chara explained. As in she wants to know if your mom really kicked you out to have sex with a some guy? Frisk nodded. Missie sighed, offering Frisk her hand and led them inside.

"W-s -bt-o h- in?" Missie said, leading the way. Frisk waited as Missie got ready for her next job, kicking their feet as they waited. Once Missie was done getting ready for their next job they headed out to their next job, Frisk following them, to wait at the restaurant. Luckily it was once again the restaurant with the nice staff and customers, and it was late enough in the day that most of the meaner customers weren't around. The manager was nice enough to mind their own business to, so Frisk was allowed to wait in the employee break room if it was too crowded. Frisk curled up under one of the tables in the breakroom. Falling asleep very quickly after.

When Frisk woke up Missie bought them dinner then they headed back home. There they checked to see if Frisk's mother's gentlemen caller was still around before settling into the pillow and blanket on the floor that made up Missie's bed.
