Realizing that the med bay would not be the best place to continue this, Optimus went to try the doors and found them to be unlocked. He informed the others and then carefully led the others to his personal chambers deep inside the base, as they were one of the few that could easily house so many and such big bots. Lancex and Cosmos were amazed while Grimlock was just glad he didn't have to share with the other Dinobots.
But now that they were in complete private, they decided that it was time to have a real bonding time. Optimus finally felt like he wasn't alone anymore, much like Cosmos who had feared he would spend the rest of his days alone. Grimlock was just glad he could finally follow his primative instincts without interruptions. And once they linked their sparks, they soon crashed into recharge, though no sparklings had been created as Cosmos and Lancex weren't in heat.
The following morning, Lancex woke first and found himself at the bottom of a pile of sorts. Optimus was on one side, holding the sniper like a teddy bear, Grimlock was on the other side with his tail curled around Lancex's legs. Lancex then tried to get up to see where Cosmos was, but he couldn't move, realizing he had a large weight on his chest – it was Cosmos who had curled up on the bot. Lancex smiled, as he realize these three not only loved him but also didn't seem to care what had been his past. He realized he could enjoy waking up to this every morning. But seeing as the others were recharging still, Lancex returned to recharge, curling into each of his mates as best he could.
Optimus, normally an early riser, woke later that morning along with Grimlock and Cosmos. Cosmos blushed as he realized the position they were in. Grimlock let out a low growl that sounded almost like a purr. It was the sound he made when he was truly content. Optimus just smiled and gently tried to wake Lancex. Lancex whined about wanting five more minutes of recharge. "Me Grimlock rouse bot" Grimlock stated and then planted a searing hot kiss on Lancex. The bot was awake in an instant and kissing back. It felt so good and welcoming, like this was where he belonged.
