Rewriting: Xros Wars: Hunters' Legacy Season 03 Episode 05
Tagiru was running down a street and realized he'd forgotten something turning to go and get it, he'd accidentally bumped into another student and that made something hanging from their backpack snap and fall off towards the water. However he'd managed to jump in time to grab them before faceplanting into the water concerning the kid.
"Hey, I got it." Tagiru stated as he'd gotten up and spitting out mud and using his free hand to wipe his face off.
"Oh, uh, thank you." The kid spoke surprised by Tagiru being more concerned about his trinkets than the fact he just faceplanted into a shallow river.
"Not a problem, hey you're new aren't you?" Tagiru spoke taking note that he hadn't seen the kid headed to school before.
"Uh ya, my dad just transfered so I'm starting my first day today." The kid stated to Tagiru about what he's doing.
"Well then you'd better hurry or you'll be late to school." Tagiru told them handing over the trinkets and starting to walk the opposite direction.
The kid had watched Tagiru leave and then headed off towards the school, meanwhile Tagiru had been running towards the shopping district to go and pick up whatever it was. He'd suddenly caught a whiff of something that smelled good and followed it down a side road that wasn't used anymore and discovered a building with the lights still on and bread and other treats in the window looking like some sort of bakery maybe?
"Uh, hello?" Tagiru called walking inside as the door let out a beep to let people know the door to the shop was opened.
"One moment." Someone called from the back as they'd heard rattling as if someone was messing with a large machine, given that this appeared to be a bakery it was probably an oven. Soon after a man with brown spiky hair and goggles atop his head appeared wearing a baker's apron over a red shirt that had a pattern over it that looked like scales and gray colored pants. "Welcome, what can I do for you?"
"Um.. is this a bakery?" Tagiru questioned the man that had appeared to stand behind the counter and register.
"Yup, has been my whole life. You look like a kid who needs some bread. Let me guess, forgot about an early lunch today huh?" The man spoke being friendly, but what stood out was the fact he had soft light red eyes that had dragon slit pupils.
"Uh, y.. ya." Tagiru spoke surprised by his strange eyes. "Uh.. do you know anthing about Digimon?" He couldn't help but ask.
"Oh ya, lots. Even created one of my own." The man answered back about having made his own digimon and put some bread in front of Tagiru that looked like it could be shaped sorta like a Digimon's face. "Called my partner GuilmonX."
"Digimon with X in their name have the power of the X-Antibody making them more powerful than the normal variants." Coronamon spoke up from the Digivice.
"Here, take it as a gesture of support from one chosen to another." The man spoke letting Tagiru take the bread for his lunch and gestured for him to leave. "Now get going or you'll be late."
With a nod Tagiru ran off as we see the man smirk while a red dinosaur looking Digimon had appeared alongside him before the two then faded away and the building began to look less pristeen and more run down. Meanwhile Tagiru had still been late to class and found that people were having a party of all things with the new kid.
This day was just getting weirder, something was definately off about whatever was going on as the kids and even teacher had run off just to show the new kid around the school. "Okay, this is.. strange. Since when does Yuu even care about stuff like that?"
"Maybe it's a Digimon thing?" Coronamon spoke stating that it's possible a Digimon was somehow helping. "There are some actual Digimon in DigiQuartz and not just Wild Data."
"Right, let's go discuss it with Taiki." Tagiru stated and we then cut to them standing together on a roof alongside Vorvomon and Coronamon.
"I see, so everyone was acting weird, even Yuu." Taiki spoke about the situation in Tagiru's class earlier.
"It sounds like a Digimon could be involved for sure. Some can influence people." Vorvomon stated about what he'd thought.
"That bakery you mentioned, I wanna see it." Taiki then told Tagiru stating that he wanted to see just what that was about too. "After we stop whatever is messing with the other kids."
"Right, let's go hunt them now!" Tagiru spoke holding up his Digivice before then calling out "Time Shift!" with the four of them entering into DigiQuartz again.
They'd found a massive Digimon appear in the schoolyard who'd looked back at them stating "You're too late now. I have already won."
"Like hell you have, I don't know what you're doing to our friends but we're gonna stop you here and now! Sonic Charge, Double Time!" Tagiru yelled out blasting energy at his Digimon Partner.
"Coronamon, Warp Digivolve To.." His Digimon Partner called as orange light appeared around them with him growing larger in size and shattering apart the energy now being in his currently strongest forms. "Flaremon!"
"You think you can stop me? Let's see you give it your best shot!" Phelesmon spoke telling them to show him what they had.
"Gurenjuouha!" Flaremon called out channeling his power into his fist and unleashing an attack in the form of a flaming lion head at Phelesmon knocking them over in the process.
Meanwhile this had affected the others as Yuu had snapped out of it hearing Tyutyumon calling out "Yuu, are you there? YUU!"
"Huh, I'm here Tyutyumon, wha'ts going on?" Yuu questioned fully snapped out of whatever was going on now.
"The others are fighting Phelesmon in the DigiQuartz!" Tyutyumon told his human partner who'd nodded holding up his Sonic Loader.
"Time Shift!" He'd called being taken into the battle zone to go and join the others while Tyutyumon had already been reloaded ready to join in too. "How're they doing?" He'd then questioned Taiki going over to watch the battle unfolding.
"Not bad, but we may have to intervene on this one." Taiki stated waiting to see if they'd have to join in or not.
"I snapped out of it because of the fighting the others should too." Yuu told them about that tidbit of information. "I think the new kid was being manipulated by Phelesmon to make new friends."
"That makes sense given how Tagiru described you were acting." Vorvomon spoke up as Phelesmon had been preparing another attack as his body was starting to shrink down not being able to feed on their power anymore.
"Black Statue!" Phelesmon called out blasting Flaremon and Tagiru with strange energies that had caused the two to start to turn to stone even though they were fighting against it which slowed the process. "Looks like I win after all." He'd stated with a smirk.
Two different colored lights had appeared to be extremely bright causing Phelesmon to hiss and back away a bit while Flaremon questions "What the?" turning to see what was going on and seeing that the Digimon with Taiki and Yuu were now a large serpent ready to fight covered in metal and a black stone dragon spewing flames and magma from it's body.
"Go Giga Seadramon, show them what you've got!" Yuu called to his Digimon Partner who'd charged forwards slithering across the ground like a snake.
"Giga Sea Destroyer!" Yuu's Digimon Partner called blasting energy from the cannon in his mouth causing Phelesmon to fly into the air to avoid the oncoming attack but was then slapped by Gigia Seadramon's tail sending him flailing about in the air.
"Volcanicdramon we're up!" Taiki called to his Digimon Partner who'd flown to face Phelesmon at point blank range.
"Volcanic Flare!" Taiki's digimon partner called as Volcanicdramon spewed scorching hot flames from his mouth aiming upwards at the sky and vaporized him in one go.
"That was.. overkill." Flaremon stated seeing the two Digimon having been at their most powerful stages.
"Just a little something to show you the power you may someday command too." Volcanicdramon called out as they'd absorbed Phelesmon's data leaving behind a Digitama which Taiki had stored into his Sonic Loader so it wouldn't cause anymore trouble.
"Now, show us the Bakery." Taiki spoke as their Digimon returned to their base forms and Tagiru nodded.
They'd gone to where the bakery should have been and discovered an old building in it's place with empty displays broken glass and the door broken off by one of it's hinges. The group had decided to explore this building discovering old and no longer functioning ovens and the like in the back area. They'd gone up the old looking steps that had been slightly broken being careful not to fall and continued exploring discovering different rooms and in one of them was a shelf with old books on them and a rusted over tin. Inside the tin was a photo in a frame of a young body around their age with a red dinosaur looking Digimon alongside him. There was also a second photo that had a group of kids their age who all had Digimon together with the word tamers written on the back, and a bunch of old cards that had looked like they belonged to a card game.
