As the hansom man extracted a grenade-like object from the black box, a wave of dread washed over the Boy and Galen they both shared a look of worry as the boy summoned a green vine that wrapped protectively around them both shielding them from what they thought would be bullets or a big explosion.

With a swift motion, the man hurled it towards the cocoon, its trajectory cutting through the air with deadly precision. Panic seized the forest creatures as the grenade exploded upon impact, unleashing a noxious green gas that engulfed the clearing.

Even from within the safety of their walls of vines the boy shuddered as he heard the explosion shook the ground the debris of dug up ground fell onto of the roof of the vines making the sound of rain pattering on your window. As the explosion started to die down the vines stared to unwind themselves leaving the two unprotected. As they looked around they were surprised to see a thick layer of emerald green fog waft around them.

As the boys doe eyes squinted around trying to make out the tree line of the forest through the mist he drew in a sharp breath out of frustration but was soon winded by his own advisor. The elks eyes shone with urgency as he gasped "my lord don't breath it in, this is sleeping gas it only works on humans and I'm sorry to say my lord but you are still human," he sighed the last bit but panic swirled in the boys doe eyes and tried to hold his breath. But the damage had been done.

The Boy's vision blurred as drowsiness crept over him like a heavy blanket. With a faltering sway, he clung to Galen's back, his consciousness slipping away with each passing moment. Galen, sensing his rider's distress, bolted into the safety of the forest, but their escape was short-lived.

Before they could disappear into the dense foliage, a net descended upon them, ensnaring them both in its unforgiving grasp. Helpless and disoriented, the Boy could only watch through half-lidded eyes as the hansom man loomed over them, a triumphant smirk playing upon his lips as he stared down at the boy who was now laying helplessly on the floor his consciousness slowly slipping into the grasps of sleep.

As darkness closed in around him, the Boy struggled to maintain consciousness, his gaze fixed upon the mysterious figure before him. With a final effort, he heard the hansom man's chilling words before succumbing to unconsciousness, the promise of danger and uncertainty lingering in the air like a haunting refrain. And as the forest echoed with the sound of his descent into darkness, as he closed his eyes he could hear the distressed call of animals as they watched him and Galen helpless, he heard the grunts and struggles of the elk as he squirmed next to him. As his hearing fades all he could feel before succumbing to sleep was being picked up by two big strong arms that seamed to welcome him into their embrace as they cliched him tightly like if they didn't he would fly away into the distance.
